Fantastic experience: I’m Pirzada Ahmed.I had an appointment with the white star dentist Ilford .Receptionist was very friendly,very friendly staff,clean and tidy place.My dentist who was very kind and helpful,advised me on future appointments and plans.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever. Beyond rude and unprofessional. While the lady at the reception was very polite and accommodating. Once I got into the dental room the African Lady dentist with short hair herself was beyond rude. Not only did she give me shout at me three times asking me what my issue is with my mouth, before then proceeding to give me incorrect information about my infected tooth “being completely fine and to continue taking my antibiotics” …. The same antibiotics that I shouldn’t have been prescribed in the first place as they don’t cure toothache. This being my second trip to a dentist from 111 appointment paying £27 twice the lady was completely incorrect about my tooth. My tooth was NOT fine, I have been to St Guys hospital yesterday and had it removed. If you’re going to shout at me, at least shout with correct information. Evidently the dentist just wants patients in and out without any proper care or understanding of their needs. Do not waste any money here.

Negative experience: Disappointing Experience as a Private Patient I was a private patient at this practice since 2019 but have since left due to poor treatment and misleading communication. An amalgam filling in good condition was removed and replaced with a white one without my consent, costing £120. The tooth wasn’t visible, so there was no real need for a cosmetic change. The new filling began coming out within days, and I wasn’t informed it could be refilled free of charge if it failed within a month. Later, I paid for another filling on the same tooth. The dentist assured me beforehand that it could be done without affecting the nerve—this turned out to be false. She was heavy-handed, made the nerve bleed, and now the tooth needs to be extracted. False promises like this are unacceptable. After moving to an NHS dentist, I was told most of my fillings had decay underneath and need redoing. These fillings were done at this practice! Despite available NHS places, the practice refused to transfer me from private. It feels like profit was prioritised over proper care.
Negative experience: Recently contacted this service for the first time, and I was surprised to be asked to pay £50 straight away. I was born here and have never needed to use this system before, so I wasn’t aware of how it worked. I hadn’t registered with them previously, so this experience felt a bit unexpected. It would be helpful if the payment process and registration requirements were explained more clearly for first-time users.bullshit system Stay away from them
Fantastic experience: Dr. MAREEHA ZAMAN was amazing, she did a fantastic job. I was so nervous about the fillings however, she explained pros and cons of the process. She handled the fillings process professionally and was very kind.

Fantastic experience: I had a fairly protracted period for the replacement of a denture under M Patel. I met many people at reception and treatment during this time. I can only say I could not have received better treatment for quality and concern from start to finish. Thank you to alll concerned
Negative experience: The receptionist is completely unprofessional and clearly untrained. She called out a patient using their middle and last name instead of their first and last - basic protocol in any competent medical office. When I pointed out that the middle name was actually the father’s name (who also had an appointment that day), which could easily cause confusion, she showed zero concern and dismissively insisted she "called his middle name, which is the correct name." No, she didn’t - and worse, she didn’t care. This isn’t India, and as an Indian myself, I find it frustrating and embarrassing to see someone ignore simple standards of communication and patient care. Learn to call patients by their actual names and show some basic courtesy while you’re at it.
Positive experience: I was so grateful that Whitestar fitted me in for a checkup on the same day (private), as I was advised to do this for my big C treatment. Dr Patel was very thorough and very knowledgeable about my medication/condition. I was definitely in good hands and got the all clear Thank you, Whitestar.
Negative experience: Me and my daughter was booked for appointment slot for 1 and half an hour . She finished us within half an hour .They did not cleaned at all my daughter teeth .Dr I had when I called to book i think she was trainee ,for grays she pushed that thing too hard I still have some discomfort after a month. She was really rough. They charged me and didn't do anything just upon asking they cleaned my lower side of teeth's but it was still bad Job . Upon complain they were rude . No action been taken .please don't trust them. I will add some pics soon how bad it was just after that . It's not giving me option to put pics I would like to show others how careless they are . Will be looking to report to council or other authorities. Just other day in past review I saw little kid getting bad ulcers as well . Need improvement.very bad bad service

Negative experience: Rude behaviour. She said if you need treatment go to private. It's really rude. You can't force patient to take private treatment. Now a days all Dr. Talk like that . We are not taking free treatment. We are giving nhs fee and health insurance. No one right to talk like this. Dissatisfied rude behaviour.
Fantastic experience: My daughter has dislocated her jaw and we called the dentist and got the appointment on the same day. Dr Patel examined, took measurement of her jaw/teeth and ordered the mouth guard to fix the issue. As soon as he received the mouth guard from the lab, dentist office called us and asked us if we can come on the day to have it checked and get it. We went to see Dr Patel and who answered all our question and explained how to use it. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: I recently had a crown fitted and paid over 300 pounds under NHS band 3. The crown fell off after 3 days, so I made another appointment. I was told that the crown can't be fitted again but instead I got a white filling. That was fine until I got home and dpoke to my niece ,who is a dentist too, she told me that you should have one year guarantee. However, the surgery failed to tell me about the one year guarantee. So I contacted the surgery and asked about it they admitted that yes the guarantee is for one year and they will call me back. I am still waitingvto hear from them and hoping to get my money back and just charge me for the white filling. They should not keep patients in dark.

Positive experience: Over a period of a few months Whitestar have have given me several treatments including four extractions , and quite a few fillings , and finally with fittings of upper and lower plates . The Dentist Ayesha has been fantastic throughout , I have been lucky to meet a considerate and professional Dentist , I can't thank Ayesha and Whitestar enough . My only negative thing is that when I have enquired about registering my two daughters for much needed treatment , I have been told to try again in a couple of months . I think the only way I can get them registered is if I pay for first treatments . This seems to be the way of entry into dentists these days unfortunately . However I will persevere and get my daughter's registered somehow .

Negative experience: I come to this dentist 1 week ago for tooth infection a lady see me she told me I had a bad infection in my tooth which personally I just thought I’d needed a filling cos it looked like a filling fell out the tooth she told me I need a 7 day course of antibiotics the antibiotics she has given me has made me feel absolutely weird dark urine non stop sick made my aniexty so bad feel sacred and hopeless
Positive experience: I have been a patient for a few years. My previous dentist at white star dental was very rough and not as knowledgeable as I hoped. My current dentist is good. I would advise patients to go to another dentist, calling in to book an appointment has become a hassle. There has been multiple times I’ve called in at 9 to be told ‘white star detal please hold’ to then be cut off the line and when I call through again it is and get through to a receptionist I’m told there’s no appointments. White star dental need to ensure it is a first call first served basis, there has been many times I have experienced my call ending and not having a follow up which is not acceptable.

Positive experience: Decent dentist, they get the job done. However I have to note i felt rushed by the dentist (MAREEHA ZAMAN) - my questions weren’t answered in a detailed manner either. Also the receptionist, though she’s very nice, was extremely hard to understand (unfortunately I think it was her accent). This felt like a 3/5 experience but my previous appointments were much better so I’ll give a 4/5.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient as this practice for many years & can honestly say that I have had the best treatment always. My dentist Dr Roop is just incredible & has helped me enormously. The reception staff are great especially Sharon. Highly recommend without a doubt that you will also have the best care needed. Dr Roop is an incredible dentist & a bit of a therapist well I talk when able & she listens. Mostly she does all she can to help me with my on going dentistry issues. Highly recommend her although I probably shouldn't as she will be inundated with appointments & I need her too. My ongoing care & treatment needed has been a constant battle & I have never been taken care of with such a lovely caring welcome by Dr Roop .. always does her best to accommodate my needs with the treatment required & not just a brilliant dentist but a very creative one too. Update Again I cannot praise Dr Roop at whitestar enough she is an incredible talented dentist both in her skills as a dentist but also her creative side in using her skills to do the best she can for the patients situation. For me I hope she stays at whitestar however if she were to ever move on ( which I hope she doesn't) I have told her I would follow her ( not in a creepy way) but for the fact I trust her in her field & know that she works with me so that I am also happy with the outcome & more importantly she listens.

Fantastic experience: I was treated here today following an extremely painful abscess and swollen face. The Dentist Nikita Thanki was INCREDIBLE very caring, kind, professional & reassuring. After an xray, she cleaned out the tooth and gave me a prescript for specific antibiotics. She made the experience pain free, ensuring I was very numb prior to treatment. The nurse Harman Kaur was equally good and very professional. Very impressed with the whole care from calling 111 desperate & in pain to a call back 30 mins later with an appt to attend here half our after the call! Outstanding service & NHS we have. In an emergency, the treatment is incredible!

Fantastic experience: I had emergency appointment today. I was in pain whole night trying to book a dentist with NHS , called several dentist around area nothing worked. I couldn’t get any appointment. Then I just drove to Whitestar Dental Care centre, they quickly arranged me an emergency appointment. My damaged tooth was removed with great care.Doctor was super friendly and explained everything in details. Thanks so much.

Negative experience: On 17/02/2025, my son had a general check up appointment and got a filling done on his tooth. Dentist Ayesha’s work was very well but her assistant didn’t do as good. She used the saliva ejector unprofessionally and poked the inside of my son’s bottom lip several times. My son is in a lot of pain now and feels unwell to the point he had to visit the doctor and take medicine. It has been almost a week since and he has not recovered. I am very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending this dentist for years and have never really felt that I received a good service, until I was seen by Dr Roops. She was amazing! For 3 year I mews complaining of bleeding and swollen gums, I was put on antibiotics which didn’t help and outside of that was offered nothing. Dr Roops took the time to explain what she thought the issue was, normally I’m in and out within 15mins she took the time to ensure I was given the correct treatment plan and booked me a follow up. Finally a dentist that cares within 2 weeks the bleeding had stopped and the swelling down. Thank you Dr Roops.

Negative experience: My mother is 87 and lost her dentures in the care home . I took her to dentist for making dentures ( White star ) , dentist did not mentioned initially that her dentures will be loose because her mostly gums are flat , after four appointments in which i took my mum , it was hard for me to bring her in wheel chair because I am asthmatic . In the Last appointment when she got her dentures , her dentures are so loose , she cannot wear it even with glue . I asked dentist that why her dentures are so loose? dentist said , “because she has barely any gum”.My question is that why dentist did not told this before so that we would not gone through.We are not happy at all .

Fantastic experience: clinic is nice and clean, nice staff who take their time to explain processes to you, dentist was nice and patient and shared dental advice, the scale and polish was quite painful at times especially around sensitive teeth, will be better if dentist gives patient few small breaks for relief, i didn't like that the original booking time was changed, but it's fine sometimes it happens.

Fantastic experience: I went for a regular check up and was seen by dentist Sangita. She was excellent and replaced my chipped filling. Hardly any pain I was charged NHS price band 2, which was very reasonable. All staff were friendly, I would definitely recommend this practice

Negative experience: Dentist asked me do I take medication...no....am I allergic to anything...penicillin....any illnesses ....liver cancer....none of which she inputted into the computer....so what medication are you on again???.....began to form a picture....explained on the phone I needed a wisdom tooth out...rang twice...to ensure they could do it...as I didn't want to waste their and my time..I asked them to ask the dentist ( diagnosis previously from an unaffordable excellent private dentist)... Yes we can!.....well no they couldn't.....we can refer you....takes six weeks...!! So I pay whatever £26 ....to get an x-ray ( that didn't work) and the dentist putting a cold swab on my tooth to confirm it needed to come out.(The dentist also told me I shouldn't believe other dentists all the time ...as they don't tell you the truth)....the irony wasn't lost on me. I was told I could register at reception if I couldn't get a dentist.....went to reception....private only.. It is a conveyor belt....not recommended if you want actual dental care........

Patients are asked to complete a medical history form prior to being examined, on arrival in the surgery, the dentist revisits this with patients. We do carryout extractions however in some difficult cases, extractions have to be referred to an oral surgeon. You will appreciate that each dentist will carryout their own examination and diagnosis. Currently we are not accepting new NHS patients as we are at full capacity. Negative experience: Disappointing Experience Incomplete Cleaning and Unclear Extra Charge I recently had a dental cleaning appointment, and I am quite unhappy with the results. Despite paying £73 for hygiene cleaning, I still have visible tartar on my teeth, and my gums do not look thoroughly cleaned. The procedure felt rushed, and it is clear the job was not done properly. To add to the frustration, I was charged an extra £20 for an air polish, which was not clearly explained beforehand. I went in expecting a comprehensive cleaning, not unexpected add-ons for a service that did not even leave my teeth properly cleaned. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I am considering going elsewhere to get the treatment I should have received. Definitely would not recommend this clinic based on my experience.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to this dentist for an emergency weekend appointment after calling 111. I found the dentist to be very helpful, they put me at ease and explained what they were doing. They also helped me to fit my dental bridge which was greatly appreciated.

Negative experience: DO NOT TRUST THESE DENTISTS!!! One gave me false information about my tooth. She scanned half my jaw and told me she couldn't see the rest of it because they don't have the right equipment!! Her assistant didn't even know what she was doing, their machine ran out of battery and she didn't know where things were. So the dentist basically made a guess and told me I needed an extraction or a complicated procedure. She used big fancy words and spoke really fast as if I understand denta! terminology (I had to tell her to slow down 3x) to rush me out and get my money. I went for a second opinion in Harley Street, and it was nothing of the sort. The dentist there gave me the same scan twice, showed me exactly what the problem was and proved it on screen. Dentists at this practise are uneducated, have very little experience and might cost you a procedure that you don't even need to have!!! What kind of practise doesn't have adequate equipment to treat their patients for a simple scan?

Negative experience: Buyer beware! Paid £500 for dentures that do not fit. Asked repeatedly to have them adjusted and was told on three occasions to book an emergency appointment - which surprise surprise never had any available. Now they want me to pay £50 just to be examined. Disgusting.

Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS Completely botched my smile - came in with a chipped tooth and instead of being told about my options the dentist took it upon herself to “polish” (more like grind away) all my front teeth, giving me a true Frankenstein smile. I would avoid. Furthermore the dentist then lied on record about what she had done in order to alleviate herself of any blame. They do not care about their patients and their complaints procedure is basically give one reply then ignore unless you get legal help.

Negative experience: Was referred to an orthodontist after a 5 mins consultation. The orthodontist still required me to pay £50 for a consultation after I paid £50 to this dentist. Just skip and find a dental practice with an orthodontist if you may need braces.

Negative experience: Not happy! The dentist I saw told me I had an infection and he was going to put something on the tooth that would definitely get rid of the infection. There is no such treatment and still have the infection! I then saw another dentist who said it was possible to have a root canal but said I have to wait over a month for my dentist not happy. There not to be trusted!

Positive experience: The staff at Whitestar Dental Care were very helpful. I had an emergency appt on the Sunday and the filing didnt feel right so I asked if they could re check what had been filled. They were very accommodating and the Dentist agreed to see me as a good will gesture, which I found very appreciative due to being in a lot of pain.
