Fantastic experience: I had a great experience thanks to Jo at Tavistock Dental. After I sent an inquiry through their website, she called me right away, which I really appreciated. Even though I didn’t end up visiting Tavistock itself, Jo took the time to listen and kindly referred me to one of their nearby branches that was more convenient for me. She was incredibly helpful, patient, and thoughtful throughout. Her kindness and professionalism truly stood out, and I’m grateful for the support she gave.

Fantastic experience: I went it for a crown, and I’ve had a phobia of dentists since I was a kid, but the whole procedure was painless and the aftermath aswell. I am so grateful to have found a dentist that cares so much about their clients teeth and mental health. Especially Dr Frances, who is an amazing dentist.

Fantastic experience: Very professional team. I had a wisdom toothache for 3 days and found same day appointment with them for wisdom tooth extraction with sedation. I would definitely say this was the best dentist experience I have ever had. I only woke up and noticed the extraction done and since my pain went down from 10/10 to 0/10. Rosa was very helpful and kind. She called after the extraction multiple times to check if I am well and to book a review with the dentist. I would strongly recommend them to anyone with the dental problems.

They recommended an electric toothbrush, showed me the proper brushing technique, and explained how to use floss correctly to maintain good oral hygiene. From the moment I walked into the office, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff, which immediately put me at ease. Dr. Chowdry was incredibly gentle, explained everything thoroughly, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. The root canal itself was surprisingly relaxing and painless (I even fell asleep!), thanks to their expertise and care. The entire team led by Jo were also so helpful in rearranging my appointments to fit my schedule, making the process even more stress-free. Fantastic experience: I needed to have 2 retained roots extracted urgently because I was in a lot of pain. Called up Tavistock Dental and they said "Come on down!" When I got there, we did all the usual admin stuff then they took me straight through to Dr. Jack who was warm, professional and hugely competent. He was assisted by Greta, who was also competent and efficient. The extraction took about 20 minutes in total and the whole thing was accomplished with virtually no pain and no particular difficulty from my perspective. I was packed off with a comfortably numb face and some useful information. All in all, superb service from everybody there including Charlotte and her colleagues on reception, so I'd recommend Tavistock Dental to anybody.

Fantastic experience: I had a very good experience with this dental practice. I was suffering from severe pain in my molar and was able to get an appointment at very short notice. It took less than an hour from the diagnosis—confirming that the nerve was the issue—to the successful removal of the nerve through root canal treatment. Before the procedure, Dr. Jack Johnson transparently explained all possible treatment options, including the respective costs, and provided me with valuable advice. I hardly felt any pain during the root canal treatment. Every step of the procedure was announced and explained in real time, and the team regularly checked to make sure I was doing well. All in all, it was an excellent experience—and the costs were also very reasonable. Many thanks again to Jack, his assistant, and the entire team!

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my dentist for gum and root canal trearment to this practice. On my first visit I was not familiar with the location of the practice so I arrived very early and the door was locked. I met Joanna and she opened the door and welcomed me in offering me a hot drink, she was warm and welcoming. On subsequent visit I met Rosa and Joanna, she too was courteous kind and welcoming. I had my root canal treatment with Dr Adnan and my gum treatment with Dr Shray, both were gentle and patient with me as I have a fear of dentist. Before any procedure was started it was fully explained by both dentists, they were very patient and gentle. The team at this practice are all welcoming, friendly and professional. I'm very happy with my treatments and I definitely recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing experience and I can't thank them enough! The receptionists, especially Rosa, were very helpful and went through a ton of details before finding a date where I could come in. On the day of the surgery, Dr. S. Arjinder went through all the steps with me and didn't leave anything out, made sure I understood everything as well and performed the surgery quickly and efficiently. Overall this is the place to go if you have ANY dental issues.

Fantastic experience: I had a really positive experience at Tavistock Dental. Having been a nervous patient due to poor experiences with anaesthesia, I originally asked about treatment under sedation. Dr Frances was patient and explained the pros and cons of different approaches. The information gave me the confidence to try local anaesthesia again for root canal treatment with Dr Adnan. The support staff were wonderful and made sure I had a full explanation of the different treatment options and costs, and kept in touch on WhatsApp which was really convenient. I had my treatment across two sessions and Adnan was fantastic - he talked through everything as he was doing it, and was calm and reassuring throughout. I then had a crown fitted by Dr Frances and again I had a good experience - I was listened to when I explained I was still experiencing some sensation in the area, and she kept me informed of progress throughout the treatment. The whole team has been welcoming and approachable (special mention for Jo, the treatment coordinator), which all helped to reassure me at the points where I was nervous. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tavistock Dental to anxious patients, and anyone else!

Fantastic experience: Great experience for a wisdom tooth extraction. I contacted the practice yesterday to explain my situation and sent them an X-ray via WhatsApp. They fit me in the next day! Dr Arj and nurse Elena were very professional, ensuring I was comfortable and informed throughout the process. Receptionists Jo and Rosa are very efficient and empathetic, they explained my options and were very responsive on the phone. Thank you tooth fairy for a quick and painless procedure ‍♂️. Final cost: £495 including panoramic X-ray and treatment plan for extraction.

Fantastic experience: For the first time I had a really good experience in a Dentist. This week I saw David, specialist in root canal, at Tavistock Dental. And he was fantastic! Very caring, explaining all the way through what he was doing and answering any questions that I had. The treatment was so pain free, that I even managed to take a little nap. The whole team at Tavistock Dental were very considered and amazing.

They accommodated me in record time (shout out to Jo) and have amazing in house dental equipment which helps cut down on time, cost, and travel. Fantastic experience: Tavistock Dental helped me overcome my fear of the dentist. I hadn’t seen a dentist since I was 8 due to a bad experience, lack of compassion, and patience. I’m now nearly 30, it’s literally been 23 years! A couple of months ago, I had a really bad toothache, and that was my breaking point. I had 3 extractions and 2 root canals, and I can’t even begin to explain how grateful I am for the amazing staff! From the receptionists, Jo and Rosa, who were so patient and compassionate, when I came in for my appointments we’d always have a chat. I felt so comfortable—it was like waiting for a hair appointment! The 3 extractions were done all together in one appointment with Dr. Samir, and I was out 15 minutes later! Initially, Jo at the reception suggested sedation since I told them I was extremely nervous, but I chose not to do it. She made sure I had the freedom to change my mind and message them if needed. One thing that almost brought me to tears was when I mentioned I could still feel some pain, Dr. Samir believed me immediately. He didn’t question me once. Instead, he gave me an extra injection, and I felt ZERO pain. The root canals were done by Dr. Adnan, another incredible person! I told him I’d feel more comfortable if he communicated with me throughout the procedure, keeping me informed about our progress and ensuring everything was going smoothly. He reassured me that we could pause and take a break whenever I needed, and he made sure I was comfortable the entire time, explaining what I might hear, feel, or taste. Again, zero pain during the root canals—just a slight scratch when getting the anesthesia, but I barely felt it because he applied numbing gel beforehand. Now, I’m no longer scared of the dentist and so happy that I can finally chew food properly, laugh without covering my mouth, and go to concerts and sing out loud without being afraid someone might see my teeth. I’m even trying to convince a friend who’s just as scared as I was, it’s truly life-changing. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Fantastic experience: Had a dental implant done at Tavistock. Dr Chohan and his dental nurse were fab throughout, very professional and happy to answer any questions. The process was made so smooth too by the reception staff who were friendly and happy to help in any way they could with appointment times etc. The atmosphere in the surgery is so welcoming, would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Excellent dentists. I am currently undergoing dental implants and the team have been super attentive and reassuring throughout. Arj and his team are great and reception ( Jo and Rosa) always puts me at ease ahead/ post treatment.

Negative experience: Overall bad experience. Went in to get my retainer(metal wire behind teeth) fixed. A treatment that should have lasted for at least a couple years crumbled within a few days. It was done in a rush and my teeth couldn’t make contact when biting. My mention of it was dismissed. Then they agreed to redo the procedure but I had to sign a waiver stating i cant ask for another redo. I thought surely this time it would go well but it seems i was wrong. During my appointment they made it sound like it was my fault the bonding shattered. I had done nothing out of the ordinary and my previous retainer lasted 4+ years. And guess what, the bonding shattered again within a week while eating BREAD. So they wasted my time and a big sum of money whilst being rather awkward and hostile about the situation. The receptionist Joanna seemed condescending and made the experience quite uncomfortable. At least the dentist Frances was nice, but evidently doesn’t provide quality care. All the whilst they charge a premium for their services. Would not recommend this clinic to anyone. Edit. Lousy apology considering it does not change the fact I walked in with a problem only to walk out with the same issue and an emptied wallet. Ive since had my retainer fixed elsewhere at a proper dental clinic and it has been problem free. Don’t know what you’re disagreeing with as the issue is purely factual. Wasted money and a headache is all it is.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Tavistock Dental, from consultation to aftercare following my dental work. At every point all of the staff were attentive and conscientious regarding any apprehension I had. The procedure itself was stress-free and the sedation I underwent was highly effective without leaving me groggy the next day. I’d recommend Tavistock to anyone looking to undergo dental treatment.

Fantastic experience: This is my dental practice of choice in London. I tried quite a few whilst deciding where to get an implant done and this place has never let me down. The staff are great, lovely receptionists and great clinicians. The implant was handled brilliantly (despite being a tricky procedure) and the aftercare and hygiene has been top quality (Hermita is excellent). It ain't cheap but it's quality.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Dr Akhil Patel for a couple of years now and have found him to be excellent. I was a very nervous patient but he has a very calming manner, explains everything clearly and checks regularly to make sure I'm comfortable. The reception staff are also very friendly.

Fantastic experience: I had acute dental pain for several days which didn't go away, so made an appointment with Tavistock Dental, which was followed up with another examination by their root canal specialist. Both appointments were as pleasant as they could be under the circumstances (i.e. dental pain!) Each dentist was courteous, patient and professional, taking time to explain in some detail my various dental problems, their diagnoses, and their recommendations. At no time did I feel I was being pressured or given a 'hard sell'. The first dentist explained I had been 'over-brushing' and, as a result, had removed a layer of protective enamel (which means ice cream or hot drinks can be painful). She recommended I try using an electric toothbrush instead, but didn't attempt to sell me one of their own. I ordered one from Amazon the next day and can already see the benefits. Similarly, the root canal specialist carefully explained what my specific dental problem was, his diagnosis, and my options - either root canal work or extraction (which would be a good deal cheaper). But he emphasised that the decision (treatment or extraction) was entirely up to me, and at no point did I feel I was being pressurised into opting for the more expensive option. Their receptionist is 100% friendly, polite and professional - and offered me an appointment within a day or two of my initial phone call. Although I'm not a nervous dental patient, I feel that the relaxed and friendly atmosphere created by Tavistock's receptionist, dentists, and dental assistants would surely help to put nervous patients at ease. They used to take NHS patients, but I understand are now private only (I understand it is no longer economically viable for some dental practices to offer NHS services, due to changes in government funding legislation). Private or not, I would recommend Tavistock Dental highly.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic! We arrived on a holiday from Australia - with my wife having chipped a veneer at the airport in Sydney just before our flight over. We didn’t know where in London we could get it fixed quickly. We rang several dentists - and were so impressed by the service from Rosa and Ramona on the front desk - we decided to drop in for a chat. The girls were simply awesome. We were then introduced to Dr Mansi Patel - and she set our minds at ease straight away. What a professional and delightful dentist! She did the most amazing job in fixing the tooth - it was faultless. We could not recommend Tavistock Dental any more highly - 10/10.

Fantastic experience: If you’re a nervous patient then I highly recommend coming to Tavistock Dental. I was really nervous when I first came to see Dr Frances but Rosa from reception was really encouraging and Dr Frances listened to me and understood what I needed to feel more comfortable. The best thing is that I didn’t feel judged for being anxious and this actually made it easier to relax. Even when I can’t string a sentence together because I’m anxious I didn’t feel judged for that. If all dentists were like Dr Frances then I don’t think I would’ve been scared in the first place. Knowing that I can come here for my appointments now has and will make such a difference for me.

Negative experience: Disappointing Experience at Tavistock Dental: Painful Cleaning, Lack of Education, and Unpleasant Aftermath My recent visit to Tavistock Dental for a teeth cleaning on January 10th, 2024, left me deeply dissatisfied and in significant discomfort. Not only was the cleaning process itself painful, but the aftermath was equally distressing. Despite expressing concerns about the pain during the cleaning, the hygienist assured me it was normal. However, the situation deteriorated once I returned home. That night, I developed a high fever, and my gums swelled, making eating unbearable for a week. It was a week of agony that I wouldn't wish upon anyone. Adding to my disappointment was the lack of educational guidance provided by the hygienist. I expected to receive insights into proper brushing techniques and an explanation of my dental condition. Instead, I was merely told I needed another appointment, without any meaningful discussion about my oral health. Seeking resolution, I sought a second opinion from another dental clinic, which proved to be a stark contrast. Not only was the cleaning procedure smooth and pain-free, but I also received valuable insights into maintaining oral hygiene and a thorough explanation of my dental condition. In conclusion, my experience at Tavistock Dental fell far short of expectations. From the painful cleaning to the lack of educational guidance, it was a disappointing visit that resulted in physical discomfort and emotional distress. I urge others to approach dental services at Tavistock Dental with caution, as my experience was anything but satisfactory.

Fantastic experience: I get vertigo and my fear of the dentist can often make it worse. Due to some bad past experiences and not being able to numb up properly, my phobia grew until I would panic everyday for a month up to my appointment. I have even had hypnotherapy. Thanks to the team and Akhil, I have now managed to replace 2 crowns and had multiple fillings. I highly recommend Tavistock, they take your concerns seriously.

Fantastic experience: My phobia of the dentist has put me off from seeing them for about 7/8 years. My phobia is so extreme that I cannot even enter a dental office without crying my eyes out. but after extensive researc, I found Tavistock dental. I contancted them for a call back and the wonderful ( full emphasis on wonderful) Jo spoke to me. She explained my options and I came in for a check up. Immediately they reassured me that I was in safe hands. DR Frances did the check up and let me know I needed 5 fullings and immediately the panic set in. she explained the levels of sedation that I could choose and I picked the IV. Yesterday i had my treatment appointment. The receptionists were so amazing at distracting me. When it was my time for the treatment, Dr Frances inserted the IV and within seconds I felt amazing. My appointment lasted around 2.5 hours and I genuinely remember nothing!! I cannot recommend Tavistock dental enough- coming from someone who would rather lose all their teeth than visit the dentist, i really believe i've found the perfect office where all the staff genuinely listen to your concerns! Fantastic experience: What a gem of a dental clinic, honestly. I saw Dr Patel for a gum surgery, he's been absolutely fantastic. He explained everything he was doing, he was keeping me up to date during the two hour procedure, and did his absolute best to make sure I'm comfortable. Everyone at the practice is lovely, I felt very taken care of throughout.

Fantastic experience: I an an extremely nervous patient due to childhood dental trauma (had 8 cavities fixed with no anaesthetic at the age of 11) and it took me a lot of time to work up the courage to look for a new dentist who did sedation. Frances and her staff were extremely helpful and friendly and have a good understanding of what makes anxious patients tick. I did not feel a thing and am just extremely relieved to have found another go-to dentist. The prices are on the elevated side, but for me it was absolutely worth it!

Fantastic experience: I visited Tavistock dental last week for dental surgery and I had a fantastic experience from start to finish! The communication from the start was great and the reception team were so helpful on organising my appointments and sorting out scan results. When I arrived I was so nervous but the girls at reception were so friendly and really helped calm my nerves. They were also very helpful after the procedure and overall made my whole experience feel so relaxed. My dental appointment was with Samir who was extremely professional and made me feel very at ease! The procedure was super quick and as comfortable as possible and I’m very happy with the results so far! I would highly recommend Tavistock dental- it’s a great place to receive dental care, especially for nervous patients like myself.

I am extremely anxious about dental work and the entire practice staff was kind, and gentle making me feel very much at ease from booking my appointment through treatment. Fantastic experience: I've been coming here for more than 20 years and there's a reason for that. From childhood to adulthood, they take care of my dental hygiene like no other. They don't judge me for the condition of my teeth and are very kind when I explain that financially, it can be challenging for me to come to appointments frequently. Joanna is such a friendly voice on the end of the phone and she has been perfectly trained to handle all queries. Payment is secure and I have had my comments listened to, making me comfortable enough to sit through an hour of treatment on each occasion

Fantastic experience: I first had a treatment (six month smile) done at Tavistock while studying in the area in 2015. Recently (2023), my retainer broke and they were able to get me in to be seen the next day. Even in 2015, they accommodated appointments in a way that suited me best and got me in before my classes started for the day.It feels lovely to be back in such a familiar and friendly setting, with even friendlier faces! The reception staff are brilliant, and the dentist who saw me took the time to listen to all my thoughts and questions and answer them. The hygienist also made me feel at ease and talked me through some issues and explained in detail, which I found really helpful to understand. For easy, quick, friendly and super helpful services, I wouldn't hesitate recommending the team at Tavistock Dental. Fantastic experience: I had implant treatment to replace an upper canine tooth. It was a lengthy process but I was kept well-informed throughout and everything was explained really clearly by my dentist, and implant specialist, Arjinder Chohan. I am delighted with the result! Fantastic experience: I visited in mid-2023, almost 10 years after my last visit. I’d had issues with mental health & addiction that meant that I avoided treatment for that time. When I got back in touch with the clinic, I spoke with Joanna, the receptionist who was really lovely, got everything arranged and made coming back easy. When I arrived for my appointment, Joanna greeted me and made me feel very welcome and comfortable. She has excellent interpersonal skills and a very caring manner, which really set the tone for the experience from the moment I walked in. I’ve rarely experienced such a warm welcome in a healthcare setting. I have been living with HIV for 10 years. I work for a HIV charity and hear about poor and stigmatising experiences from our service users living with HIV all over the UK about accessing healthcare, especially dentistry. That made me nervous about the kind of experience I might have. I needn’t have worried. The team collected all the necessary information from me and treated me exactly the same as any other patient, which is what you should be able to expect. I saw Jack, the dentist. He was professional, courteous and has a very gentle and caring manner, which I really appreciated. He was great at explaining what was going on, what his recommendations were and why and what my options were. I had two fillings and an extraction and it was a painless and calm experience throughout. I would highly recommend Tavistock Dental to anyone seeking high-quality dental care that seeks to take as much care of the patient’s mental health as their oral health.

Because the business was very flexible in finding my wife the right appointments at the time that suit us . We found the service both professional and personal. The atmosphere is very cozy and I feel no hesitation in recommending to a friend or associate.

Fantastic experience: Great teeth cleaning service here! They teach you how to brush correctly as well and give you good teeth hygiene tips. Very excellent service to book an appointment as well. I was able to get one for next day. My hygienist was Sayed and nurse Shaiiya. Both put me at ease for anyone who gets nervous at the dentist.

Fantastic experience: I came to Tavistock Dental on the strong recommendation of a friend after I had a few bad experiences with NHS dentists and had avoided checkups for years, leading to some urgent dental issues. Tavistock dentists were extremely understanding and knowledgeable about my medical condition, which makes local anaesthetic ineffective on me. This was so reassuring, as many doctors I've visited before hadn't even heard of the condition! I had an extraction and a few fillings under IV sedation. I was confident going in to my treatment as I felt very informed and cared for. During the treatment I was totally unaware of what was going on, and the fillings and extractions, which had been nearly impossible for me to deal with in the past, breezed by painlessly. I "woke up" with several high quality fillings all done! I'm very glad that I decided to come here, and will definitely be back for checks and cleans.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for an hygienist 2 years ago and I chose this center for the great reviews. I have never seen such professional and gentle hygienists. I have also had an appointment with one of the dentist, and that went really smoothly. I highly recommend this center. Plus, Jo the receptionist is always kind and so helpful!
