Fantastic experience: Lovely Professional Team, I was slightly anxious/ nervous which came across rude on reflection and I apologise profusely. I went for a deep clean service and Amanda and her Assistant were very comforting and patient with me. All tarter removed and clean like a whistle. Fantastic experience: I had a dental appointment with Jack the other day. He was doing some dental impressions for some dentures. He was so very kind, noticed I have anxiety and showed me how to stay calm while the impression putty was in my mouth. Having a dentist like this is so good and he was patient with me and cheerful. Negative experience: This dental practice has truly got the most kindest and sweetest staff. You're guaranteed friendly and helpful staff , an excellent place for those that have anxiety about going to the dentist or any special needs. Reception staff are literally shinning stars! Edit. On second visit, failed to notice tooth infection due to poorly taken X ray that they love to show you on a tv screen. Dentist wanted to charge for a referral when without disclosing one could be done for free to a dental hospital. Why are all dentists vultures?

Fantastic experience: My experiences of Dental Smiles is very positive. On my last visit the hygienist was running late so rather than keep me waiting one of the dentists who was free stepped for my appointment. She talked me through everything she was doing and checked regularly that I was ok. The reception staff are always very polite, friendly and helpful. I have been using this dentist for several years and my experiences have always been pleasant and positive.

Fantastic experience: A new dentist but really excellent. Quickly identified the cause of a long-standing problem and presented a clear and credible plan for resolving it. She and her dental assistant fully lived up to the practice's "kind and gentle" motto.

Fantastic experience: Dental hygienist did an excellent clean! She advised on cleaning techniques clearly and concisely! I felt that I was treated royally!

Fantastic experience: I have regular appointments and courteous and expert treatment from my dentist Jack.

Negative experience: I arrived on time for my dental appointment but was kept waiting for 15 minutes without any explanation. As a result, my hygienist session felt rushed and unnecessarily painful. It was clear the delay impacted the quality of care — the procedure was uncomfortable and far from thorough. Punctuality should go both ways, and patients shouldn’t have to pay the price for poor scheduling. While they did offer me a new appointment to make up for the experience, I have no interest in using their services again.

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience, I keep coming back to this practice. Last time I booked a one hour hygienist appointment, but in reality my teeth only needed a half hour session. Not only they refunded me the difference, but also kept complimenting my teeth upkeep. So, saved me time, money and uplifted my mood.

Negative experience: My children both under 10 had an appointment with Mansi Patel and I can’t stress enough how awful she was. Not only did she spent more time on the computer but she also disregarded any concerns I had. She was very dismissive and had “I am the dentist, I know better than you” attitude. Thank god I found a perfect dentist for my sons.

Fantastic experience: You definitely feel welcomed when you walk in. The receptionist Jane was fabulous and super friendly - booking my next was super smooth. As a young person going in by yourself, in particular, it can seem scary. Dr Priyanka and Carolina took care of me so well. Every step of the way I was comfortable and aware of what’s going on. It felt like a safe space where I could relieve all my concerns and I know that I can rely on these people for my dental health. I usually feel nervous when going to the dentist and it used to not be the most pleasant experience but I’m actually excited to go back! 07/01/2025. This is my second review. Absolutely lovely. My new dentist Abigail was wonderful and took care of all my concerns. She was very warm which helped make me feel easy as I was worried about changing dentist. The receptionist Naomi was also very helpful and I so I don’t have any negative comments. Just for myself to remember to do the forms before my checkup!

Negative experience: I paid 115 for a half an hour hygienist appointment which finished after 15 minutes (there is a booking option for 15 minutes). When I asked at the reception why it finished so early they just said there was not more work to be done. Apart from that staff was nice

Negative experience: Dreadful service. Hygienist did not any polishing or thorough cleaning. When complained was raised, practice manager Tanya was unhelpful, emailing me with a wrong patient name and therefore breaking patients confidentiality. Receptionist Naomi was extremely rude in her mannerism. Preventing you from lodging a complaint with the practice. Poor patient conduct and communication. Very money minded however does not provide adequate service. Avoid at all costs. It seems multiple complaints has not been resolved by the practice with advice being given for the patients to seek treatment elsewhere as per authority survey. The practice seem very good at covering up their mistake with no work ethic or transparency to improve service. Rude staff and bad management.

Fantastic experience: Consistently really positive experiences as an NHS patient with this surgery. Dr Johnson takes time and effort to explain everything really clearly, and was very reassuring throughout my recent filling appointment with him - which was quick, painless and really well done. Also really appreciated not feeling pushed into more expensive private options, but being given clear and balanced advice. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: I am very happy with this dental practice! My dentist is Dr. Jack, and I cannot recommend him enough! I thought I was just in for a regular check-up, expecting to hear that all I needed was a routine hygienist appointment, as I always do my check-ups twice a year with nothing major being spotted during the last ones. But how wrong I was! Dr. Jack provided me with the most thorough check-up using photos, 3D scans, and X-rays. He found an underlying decay beneath my old filling that had been missed by my previous dentist for at least a couple of years (given how deeply it had spread, as we later found out!). I was very nervous that I might end up needing a root canal since the filling above the decay was quite deep and old. But thanks to Dr. Jack, the problem was solved with just another filling, as he was able to remove the decay without exposing the nerve. He showed me photos of the decay before removing it, and it was very deep! I’m really happy I trusted Dr. Jack to do such a delicate job. I also had a hygienist appointment with Luis, who is just as great at what he does! I have quite a number of sensitive spots and usually suffer during the procedure, but Luis went above and beyond to make it as comfortable as possible. He made sure he was aware of all the sensitive spots before he started cleaning and used a numbing gel that made the procedure much more comfortable. Even though he was very thorough while cleaning, I was the most relaxed I’ve ever been during such a procedure! I'm very happy to have found this dental practice and have already booked myself another check-up with Dr. Jack and another hygienist appointment with Luis in six months!

Fantastic experience: Extremely friendly reception staff are so welcoming. Amanda was lovely! She made me feel very comfortable and answered any questions I had. Very thorough but gentle compared to any other hygienist, would 100% recommended.

Fantastic experience: Accompanied my partner to a session with the hygienist today at the practice. Teuta was kind and friendly and allowed me to watch while she carried out the session, was an amazing experience! The before and after results were unbelievable! Throughout the session Teuta was very gentle and informative. The whole experience was excellent and would definitely recommend.

Negative experience: Went for a cleaning and I’m pretty sure I now have gum loss from it - some gaps are now massive, this is not gentle dentist as they claim. I also kept bleeding 6 hours after the hygiene appointment despite only drinking water. I was bleeding from drinking water! That’s how irritated my gums became after the appointment! I go to a lot of different practices around London for cleaning and this is definitely not normal, it has never been so painful and I now have cuts around my gum which are still healing 4 days after the appointment. They cannot even tell me this is due to my teeth condition being bad, because I know it isn’t, I go for a clean every 6 months and I have other hygienists tell me my gum condition is good.

Fantastic experience: Receptionist Naomi, Hygienist Inna and dentist Abigail all served me and made me feel calm during every stage of work needed. They are honest about work needing to be done and explain the reasons why. Going to the dentist can be scary, but everyone here is friendly and makes it easy.

Fantastic experience: I had my appointments to do fillings with Jack Johnson, and I can highly recommend him. At initial dental check he gives detailed explanations about every tooth and what is recommended to do showing you both 3D Scanner photos and the X-Ray. During the follow-up appointments for fillings he is really careful and thorough to do a good job: he uses a dental dam to isolate the tooth during the treatment, and he also checks the bite after the treatment which shows he puts extra time to make a good quality work. He also does photos of the decay removed and shows and explains to you every step in the process so that you see the quality of his work yourself. I came from the previous dental practice where Jack noticed some decay underneath my previous fillings which were not done properly. We fixed it and from the photos before and after I could really see the difference with much better quality of new fillings even though the same material was used by my previous dental practice.

Fantastic experience: Hailey and Dr Patel were professional kind and helped me feel confident and informed in all my decisions and gave expert advice. I have never had such thorough honest conversations about my teeth and felt so cared for. Thank you so much I'm definitely so excited to continue coming back here.

Fantastic experience: As I went to have my usual hygenist visit, this time I was very pleasantly surprised by Luis. He is very gentle, caring, and communicative while, at the same time, remaining very professional. I have been seen by many hygenist before, as I am a regular but I can say that Luis is by far the best.

And whilst having dental treatment isn't anyone's idea of fun, they always do their best to make the experience as stress-free and comfortable as possible.

Fantastic experience: I recently registered with Charlton as I moved to London. Located very conveniently near King’s Cross and Euston, it’s quite easy to get to. For my first appointment, Abigail gave me a very detailed breakdown of my dental health and answered any questions I had. Both receptionist are very efficient and friendly and the facilities, though small, are good and it creates a nice, welcoming atmosphere. I would strongly recommend this to anyone looking to book in!

Fantastic experience: I am a nervous patient and usually end up in tears for most treatments. Today I had two fillings and everyone was so caring and made my experience as comfortable as it could be. Mansi was so lovely along with her two nurses Kat and Alex who were also very kind. The receptionists were as smiley and helpful as usual.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended this dentist by a colleague having just moved to London in 2019 and I have to say is one of the best things I've been recommended. So much so I have recommended it to my boyfriend and my colleagues when they need a new dentist as well. All the staff are friendly and lovely and if you're nervous about going to see the dentist, like I was, these guys are the people to see.

Fantastic experience: I've been going for several years as an NHS patient and had no problems. There seems to be a lot of trying to sell cosmetic procedures but fair enough. They were very kind when I accidentally missed an appointment today. The receptionists are great and things are usually quick. And dentist Abigail is possibly some kind of angel, she's absolutely lovely!

Fantastic experience: Of course, no doubt, this is the best dentist in London. My dentist is Jack, and he is so nice and patient and very smart. The reception is also very polite, patient and helpful. This is definitely the best dentist. Today Syed and Didi did first scale and polish for me. They are super nice and gentle and did a very good job. Basically my teeth look like new now. Also Syed gave me lots of suggestions afterwards to help me further protect my teeth. Thank you!

Negative experience: I went for a check up and in the end I wasn’t comfortable to continue my treatment with the practice. The practice is very modern and it was fun to see my teeth in 3D on the screen. However, the attitude was very elitist and fake nice. I wasn’t even sure the treatment plan proposed was necessary. I mean it was necessary for them to make money off of me, but I wasn’t sure it was necessary for me. The doctor even said my gums were in a very bad next to horrible disease state, but when I went for a hygiene treatment at a different clinic, the hygienist was surprised I came because my gums were very good.

Fantastic experience: I’ve always had a great experience with Dental Smiles, after almost 10 years of being a patient with them. On multiple occasions the reception team have gone above and beyond to help make appointments work in a variety of circumstances (and been lovely in the process), and the dentists and dental nurses I’ve seen at the practice have always been kind, great at explaining treatments and issues, and provided really high quality care. Big shout out to Dr Jatan and Keida for a great appointment today, and the whole team’s help getting me set up with some short notice treatment before a stint away from home!

Fantastic experience: As always I dread going to the dentist but as always I left thinking "it's not that bad". I went to see the hygienist and Teuta and Shianna were amazing!. Both so lovely and friendly. Teuta is very funny which put me at ease. When I was pregnant during my last visit she was always checking whether I was comfortable and if I wanted a break. Great experience! I went for another appointment yesterday and as always Teuta was so lovely. She gave great advice and tips. Everyone in the team is very friendly from the moment you walk in the receptions are very welcoming and helpful and you can hear how friendly the other dental staff are from the way they greet their clients.

Fantastic experience: I'm a patient at the Charlton Street Practice. I don't usually give reviews but in this case I had to ! I have severe dental issues but at 54yrs old and many bad experiences of dentistry in the past , I now have the place I can trust in getting excellent treatment on NHS too ! Not only were they gentle, kind and helpful in getting my dentistry work achieved but I really do believe that FINALLY I have a dentistry centre I can trust and look forward to going to ! Especially because dentistry hasn't been in my past the best experience on my list! Dr Jack and Alex ( assistant ) are my go to dental health team !! Absolutely awesome I trust Dental Smiles London with my smile and dental health I rate them higher than 5/5 stars ! Whether it be private or NHS I would recommend both. In lockdown I first had private treatment by them due to difficulties in finding dental treatment which led me to continue with them. I haven't been disappointed since !

Plus the receptionist Jane & Tanya were so welcoming and friendly that I already booked my next appointment in six months.

Fantastic experience: I cannot rate this dentist highly enough. I was very nervous before my first appointment as I haven’t been to the dentist in long while, years actually mainly due to being nervous. The team are very kind, gentle and they explained everything but the reason I wanted to leave a review is because both the dentist and the hygienist are incredibly meticulous in what they do & the quality of work is really excellent! Each appointment, the staff have taken their time and the work the dentist (Jatan) did on the tooth I broke was near enough miraculous! I went for my second appointment to the hygenist today (Syed) and again- the work he did was so excellent - I’ve walked out with a smile to be proud of! I said I’d leave a review because im so happy with the work they’ve done. I started attending after I broke a tooth and needed an emergency appointment. I am going to stay with them now. A mention to the brilliant nurses too, I had Keida today who was working with the hygenist. I hope they see this review. They’ve really done such five star work all of them. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: Went for my first appointment today& was my first time at the dentist in years. I felt very welcomed by reception& my Dentist Priyanka was so lovely and makes me feel very comfortable, she explained everything clearly and discussed all options with me, a pleasant experience!

Fantastic experience: These guys were great, They set up super fast as NHS patient and everyone in the practice is super friendly and welcoming :) Dr Jatin and his team are great. I am a super nervous person with the dentist and they were really calming :) Thanks for making me feel at ease guys :)

Fantastic experience: We went to see Dr Jatan Kothari for a routine dental examination. Jane and Naomi on reception greeted my wife and I and were very friendly. Then Kedja the nurse greeted us warmly and brought us into the surgery. The surgery was very clear and also looked very modern! We have seen Dr Jatan at couple of different places through his career but it was our first time at Dental Smiles and we were really impressed and would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Great dentist. Dr Jack took one of my wisdom teeth out - not nice but really not that bad and next to no pain the next day. He was really reassuring and patient. They always make you feel relaxed and do their best to minimise the pain.

Fantastic experience: Dentist Dr. Eva is lovely, friendly and very reassuring! Also very honest - no scamming into unnecessary works or costs!!! Hygienist Amanda is gentle but thorough and also so lovely and friendly! Highly recommend Charlton Street Dental! Fantastic experience: I always go to Chalton Street Dental. This visit I saw Dr Jack Johnson. The professionalism and friendliness of Dr Johnson and his team was outstanding. I couldn’t be happier with my treatment and advice. He made me feel very comfortable, took his time and didn’t rush me. He reassured me about any concerns I had. He spoke through any imaging I had to ensure I understood the assessment. And he offered me treatment advice with no hidden costs or pushing products, just what was best for me.
