Negative experience: Well, what a wonderful dental practice - if you can afford it! Which I cannot. Disgraceful that dentists who are trained using NHS resources, and earning around £100K per annum, will not provide a service for NHS patients. Seriously, I consider this unethical. Along with most mortals I cannot find a spare £300. So, I have found a rusty old pair of pliers and tomorrow will set about removing 2 very painful teeth, with the aid of painkillers. Just like the good old days, ay Mr Dentist!!! They should hand back the 1 Yellow Star,

Fantastic experience: Hello. I had a pleasant experience with my first time visiting Abbey Dental. I was there for an appointment for dental hygiene. The last was very patient, knowledgeable and good. She gave me info I didn't get elsewhere. I had to make another appointment to finish it, but that's no issue. Have to warn, it's expensive, but worth it. With the words of Arnie Schwarzenegger, I'll be back....

Positive experience: All of the dental workers are great. I would recommend this dental practice to anyone who asked. The only drawback is the occasional waft of drains.

Negative experience: They seem to avoid answering calls about 40 minutes before closing. I wanted to book an appointment in person, but I realised I probably wouldn’t make it in time, so I called exactly 40 minutes before closing time, to schedule a check-up appointment. The call would have taken no more than three minutes to complete. When I got through to the machine I was informed that I was first in line- I waited for 40 minutes and never managed to get through, despite being first in line?

Fantastic experience: I had a dental hygienist appointment with Afshan who was excellent. She took the time to get to know me as a patient and gave lots of helpful advice for maintaining good dental hygiene. Really happy with the result of the air flow! Thanks Afshan.

Positive experience: Great experience, Umayr Sidat was knowledgable and made me feel at ease , she explained everything what the problem was and the different options available to sort, she also recommended doing some background reading on the procedure that would be performed so I would be prepared for the procedure. During the procedure she went through everything whilst it was happening. Feeling pain free which is great not felt this relief in months. Good experience here's hoping it continues!!!

Negative experience: Beside of a 40 mins waiting time the hygiene appointment with Ms Naqvi left me swollen and raw gums. I couldn’t eat the whole day because of painful gum. That never happend to me.

Fantastic experience: Over the last 2 years I have been seeing Kashif Saeed to have dental implants at Abbey Dental. From the first consultation to the last I have been so impressed. Every step of the way I have been kept informed of what is being done. I had a treatment plan which listed everything I needed to know - including payment schedules which was helpful to plan the finances. I felt very anxious when I started on this journey - but I needn’t have worried. Kashif and his lovely nurse Shenaz were so kind and reassuring at every appointment that I felt completely at ease. Thank you to you both for your care. And I am delighted with the result. Yes it wasn’t cheap having 3 implants - but I felt I got value for my money and would do it all again - but hope I never have to!

Fantastic experience: I had a root canal done today at Abbey Dental, and I am extremely impressed with the experience. Dr. Humaira was amazing..she thoroughly explained everything before starting the procedure. She was kind, patient, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. As someone who's new to this practice, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I'm so happy with the care I received and would highly recommend Dr. Humaira and the team at Abbey Dental!

Fantastic experience: I had booked an appointment for my mother who is 85 years old & cannot communicate in English at all. The receptionist made sure the lovely dentist who saw my mother spoke the same language for them to communicate with each other. Excellent service overall, the surgery was lovely and clean & warm in the waiting area. The dentist & her assistant were very kind & looked after my mother with love & care, and most importantly my mother felt safe. Fantastic experience: End of last year I had to do a dental implant and, considering the importance of this act, I searched for a while online checking reviews & also asked around for advice and recommendations. Doctor Kashif Saeed came highly recommended by multiple friends and colleagues & checking the reviews online it seems to line up. From the first appointment until the end of the process I felt in good hands. The result is spot on. You can see the doctor is really experienced & do care about the result you will get. Him & his kind assistant Shenaz always made me feel at ease. They took the time to explain each step and I did not feel pressured in any way to accept anything which seems to be the case of some other doctors in London reading the online reviews. I would recommend them my eyes shut! The receptionist team is also providing expectational service with a special shout out to Khadra which was always really nice & professional.

Fantastic experience: Excellent. Stephen did a great job with the extraction. The Nurse/Assistant was also great reassuring me every step of the way, wonderful if you are a nervous person. I would highly recommend them both.

Fantastic experience: Receptionists were welcoming and helpful. My dentist Stephen and the dental nurse were very friendly and explained clearly what I need to do to maintain good oral health. I had three fillings done here and it wasn't as bad as I expected, I had local anaesthesia and then I didn't feel much pain or discomfort at all. Very affordable as an NHS patient and there weren't any surprise fees.

Negative experience: I've been going to this dentist since I was a kid..my usual dentist that i was really happy with left and i was put in with his replacement Sana Khan.. I feel like she really rushes you out the chair and certain treatments are being over looked. For Instance I had a filling come out and needed a filling done on another tooth, she only filled 1 tooth and I didn't realise till I left. when I went back she acted like she never knew about said hole, even though we spoke about it, i showed her it and I told her I was concerned about it...she also doesn't do the usual scale and polish that I have every 6 monthly visit and pushes to have a more expensive teeth cleaning appt. Whilst I'm not happy with her as a dentist, my dad who also has her is happy with her as his dentist.

Fantastic experience: Kashif and his assistant Shenaz were understanding, patient and efficient. They responded to my request promptly, anticipating and dealing with any discomfort.

Fantastic experience: Visited the dental hygienist, the process was not painful and my teeth look much brighter. Had to pay extra on the day for pressurised water treatment, would have liked to have been advised of the extra cost beforehand.

Fantastic experience: Sana Khan was very good i was stressed by losing my denture, and worried about the costs of a replacement and assured it was £95. This replacement is much better fits better

Fantastic experience: I am newly registered with the practice since 2023, I am quite nervous about having my teeth seen to and can feel quite stressed about any treatment. But being a patient at Abbey dental practice has layer my anxiety to rest. My dentist David is amazing recently I broke one of my back tooth with less than quarter of my tooth left but David was able to save my tooth. He literally rebuild my tooth and added a crown to it, I am so pleased as I did think it was possible, I had some discomfort during my treatment but I didn't think I would say this, but it was worth the pain just to walk away without having my tooth removed. happy and thanks to David's skills and experience I can smile with confidence.

Fantastic experience: Amazing service and understanding doctors, Dr David helped me and my smile, he may have been been firm in his instructions but 3 months after meeting him I've got a proud smile again and I'm more comfortable in the chair he understood my anxiety and worked with me to find the best way to relax and he done it, I couldn't be more greatful or thankful to him my fear is near enough gone and everytime I see them it gets less. Fantastic experience: I can’t thank Dr. David Pirouznia enough for the amazing care he provided for my twins. We had been told by another dentist that their teeth would need to be removed, which I was very unhappy about since they’re adult teeth. However, Dr. David did an incredible job and was able to save their teeth without needing extractions! He was so patient and kind, making my twins feel completely at ease during the treatment. They are so happy with him and have even said they don’t want any other dentist! His expertise, dedication, and warm approach have truly made a lasting impression on all of us. Fantastic experience: Dr David Pirouznia is one of the nicest doctors I meet. Every time when I’m going there with my daughter, he is very caring and careful with her, making sure that she understands all the procedures, she is comfortable and doesn’t feel any pain. Fantastic experience: The staff at Abbey Dental are great. Whenever I have been they are accommodating, friendly and cheerful. I was really happy that when I asked to change an appointment, they not only were able to do it but get me in for a dental checkup and a hygienist appointment just 45 minutes later. Great staff and great customer service.

Negative experience: Was a Service User here for years. Recently made a complaint about one of their Dentists Ricky whom was condescending towards me, due to the fact that I have complex dental needs. Asked to be allocated to another Dentist was told there is no other Dentist whom is available to see me. Also told me to complain to NHS England. This practice has gone downhill they do not take gum disease seriously! They have treated me a loyal paying customer very poorly! They are always changing their administration staff. This practice will lose business, as they do not seem to realise without customers they would not be in business! They do not value customers. I will take my business else where! There is competition! Will never recommend this practice to my friends or family. 22/07/2023 Update In response to the owner. I do not need your assistance with finding a new dentist.You are clearly short-sighted. Concentrate on running your business. As it is going down hill fast!!!! I pay to see a dentist. Your service was never free and your Dentist provided me with a substandard service! Remember the customer is always right! I revel in the fact that there are other dental practices with excellent customer service and competitive prices!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I really appreciate Dr.Siva, he is very professional and friendly, I did a crown a week ago done with a great result. Also Dr.Siva was the only dentist who helped my daughter only 2 years old . He found a very creative way by giving to her balloon and sticker and explained to her what to do and not to panic. I have been with this clinic for 6 years now , and we're 1 hour away now, and I'm still going here. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I had my Invisalign done at Abbey Dental with Sana Khan, and it was a fantastic experience! Having monthly check ins was perfect and Sana made sure my teeth were on the right track and that we were all happy with the results it was also fab to have continuity in the dental nurse, Maria, who made the whole experience seamless. Fantastic experience: Dr Sana Khan is honestly the most amazing dentist. I always combine my check ups with my son (who is currently 3 years old) and she is so kind, friendly, patient and lovely with him, making his check ups fun and creative. She gets him involved (he likes holding the mirror and counting Mummy’s teeth!) and always offers a sticker at the end, which is a big highlight for him. She did a crown for me last year and it was an easy painless experience, talking me through the whole process. The best dentist I’ve ever had - five stars from me!

Negative experience: Very disappointed by this practise. First time they were professional. Second and third time not at all. First they were very late each time. Second the dentist David talking to me like I am stupid : do you understand my English? He was very stressed out for no reason and didnt provide any service asked me to come back for a treatment plan because he had an issue with his system. Third the receptionnist was gaslighting me and not letting me speak they claimed that didnt fill a form properly when they never gave it to me. Very bad experience.

Negative experience: They rarely pick up the phone after lunch time and make you pay for treatment BEFOREHAND. I’m a longstanding customer and on one occasion I completely forgot my appointment. When I called the following day staff were indifferent especially when I tried to explain that it was an honest one off mistake. No option to reschedule unless I paid for my treatment again. I’m a private patient as well. It’s clearly all about the money and no consideration or discretion is given. Text/email reminders are hit and miss. On another occasion I was running late by ten minutes. I called ahead only to be told that there was a five minute grace period and you guessed it - would need to reschedule and pay again. I’m sticking around because my hygienist is excellent but this establishment could do much better by putting patient service and care over profits.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to Abbey Dental, Walthamstow for many years now, moved away from the area 3 years ago now but will always come back here! My dentist Stephen has been amazing, I have always received a professional and friendly service him and Sonia, the dental nurse have always managed to calm my nerves before any treatment not mention entertain my kids when I've had to take them in due to lack of childcare. Fantastic experience: Abbey Dental is a brilliant practice. Everyone who works there is really nice, it's usually fairly easy to get appointments and the care is great.

Positive experience: The hygienist was good and professional, and I would have given 5 stars, but when booking over the telephone, I was not offered the option of air flow, which actually cost more, and I would have opted for this.

Fantastic experience: I have had many bad experiences over the years at various dentist, and to say I was hesitant when I had my first appointment at abby dentist was an understatement? However I was seen by a dentist named David who has restored my faith in the dentist and I have now seen him several times. I can honestly say his is so calm in his demeanour, and reassuring he understood my fears and has done a great job on my teeth. I would recommend this dentist especially if you are a nervous person as calm and relaxing amd they are good with ti.e keeping. Very satisfied customer Yvomme

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth extraction 2 days ago. And so far everything looks fine. The doctor which I don’t remember the name, was very professional and attentive, and tried to calm me down as I was very anxious.

Fantastic experience: Invisalign Service My dentist Sana Khan and her assistant a blonde lady called Candy (I think), was extremely professional and very good at explaining each step of the process during every appointment. I was always at ease at every appointment. From the outset, she showed me pictures of what the final outcome was likely to look like from diagnostic/Invisalign machine and at the end of the treatment, I was happy with my reduced overbite and scattered teeth. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: This is a great Dental Practice. Over the years whenever I have a problem, the receptionist Vicki always go over and above to assist. She is a gem and never fails to get me a quick appropriate appointment and to hear her on the phone with other customers she does exactly the same with them. Everyone is treated equally. The other receptionists are also very helpful. The dentists when you see them will explain what’s going to happen after your examination or X-ray and your treatment plan if there’s a need.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at Abbey Dental for many years. I wouldn’t want to change from my dentist as he is knowledgable and careful about looking after my oral health. The assistant nurse is excellent, too and I look forward to my visits to see them both for a check up and when I need treatment they are very capable. Thank you both.

Negative experience: Booked an appointment as a private patient and went into see the dentist. I explained my wisdom teeth were the issue as they were not all coming out together and causing my pain and discomfort. Dentist seemed more interested in selling me invisalign and dodgy DIY teeth whitening kits instead of dealing with the more pressing issues I had. The dentist was condescending and rather unprofessional in not willing to deal with the real reason for my visit. Overall the consulation was a waste of time and money as no practical or effective treatment was offered. I wont be going back as a result and would strongly advise you clarify exactly what will be done during the initial consultation before paying for anything at this practice.

Fantastic experience: Our large family of seven have been using Abbey Dental for years now. They're a friendly, professional dental surgery and from the reception staff to the dentists and assistants, they've always given exceptional service to us all. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I had my treatment in February 2024 with Cheryl. Excellent care once again ... thank you very much. All works done are holding up nicely, no complaints. Left the practice with a new gum shield - supplied at my request so that I could have 2. I have tried buying and making my own but the safety / quality / comfort does not compare. Once again, I have Cheryl to thank for introducing me to these gumshields a few years ago (the first one is still intact and comfortable). The turn around time between taking the impressions and receiving the well fitting shield was as promised; which for me meant the shield was picked up on the day of my last appointment, end of my treatment. For me this was superb as I live in Scotland. Yes, the kindness, consideration, care and the patience, with all my treatment options explained so that I have choices. For me, it is worth the journey down. (I am now using an electric toothbrush again, and trying to remember to floss daily). Nice interactions at the reception too, thank you. Overall bar one minor thing/ interaction, it was a great experience, the 5 stars are definitely attributed to my lovely dentist who can be seen greeting all her patients with a big smile. A smile costs nothing but goes a long way to creating a lovely environment for a nervous patient and lifting/ enhancing, the ambience in a dental clinic. Weirdly, I can say, I am looking forward to my next review, currently scheduled and a routine check up which will be sent out accordingly. I have tried changing at least twice over the years due to moving, but I always return to Abbey Dental Practice in Walthamstow. Praying for, greater pay and recognition for a profession which is in no way receives appropriate remuneration for the invaluable service that they provide to society. Those of us that know how bad a toothache can get, know that we rely heavily on this service. Thank you does not seem enough but thank you Cheryl for being a consummate professional - a true ambassador for the Profession, I for one, remain truly grateful.

Fantastic experience: James Street Dentists are very friendly and helpful and I've been using this dentist for many years and I did move my treatment to one nearer my home but I missed the great service and the way they do things at St James Street so I hurried back and my big sister uses them too! They are very professional and I always feel at ease when having treatment.

Negative experience: If there was a zero star I would have given them. Worst clinic with Non Professionals, From Front Desk to Dr's, everyone is utter waste of time. I have been registered since a year. Booked my Appointment as I was having infection under one of my crowns. Dr says she is unable to treat so will refer me to hospital as if I get treatment here it would bw expensive. No when I am having worst infection one of there Dr gave me antibiotics. I wanted to chnage my Dr , their staff asked me to fill a form. Later they called me this Dr can not take NHS patients so can we go other Dr , I said OK go for it, later they called me after few days oh actually other Dr can not take new patients. You have to carry on witb current one who is not able to treat .

Fantastic experience: Receptionist was really welcoming and friendly. The hygenist was amazing. She took her time to clean my teeth and explain each steps. She asked me if I was okay all the time and gave me great advice.

Negative experience: I used to be a patient here before having my daughter and I had absolutely no problems. Today I arrived with my newborn for a 9am appointment. Unfortunately, we were 12 minutes late. At 9.06am I rang the surgery to let them know I was struggling to find suitable parking and they told me they allow a 10 minute window. I was told to take a seat and if there were any problems someone would come and find me. I assumed it would be fine as they could see I was struggling (I couldn't even get up the steps with my buggy, no staff were available to help. I had to ask a member of the public). Finally got my daughter settled and took her out of the pram, when the reception staff approached me in the waiting room and told me I will not be seen today. They gave me a new appointment in May... We are currently in February. I think this is shocking as we were prepared to wait. We were out of their 10 minute window by 2 minutes. As a new mum, it takes so much effort to even leave the house I would completely understand their decision making if I was attending an appointment for myself without my daughter.

Negative experience: Made 1st appointment 2 weeks ago. Since then have been inundated with messages from the practice. Received about 3 e-mails, 3 text messages on landline and about 4 telephone calls, 2 of which were 40 minutes apart. Really getting annoyed at this now, my friend came round today after having a check up at your practice and she was moaning as well, although she couldn't believe how many communications I had had. This is complete unwanted over-kill. Seriously thinking about going elsewhere.

Positive experience: I went in for an emergency appointment after a broken tooth happened when on holiday. Receptionists responded to my email within 12 hours (as it happened in the evening) and I was booked in for my return. Dentist was friendly, and told me best routes to go made me feel very at ease. Would highly recommend this dentist.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had to have a tooth extracted, a filling and a general cleaning of my teeth. My dentist Stephen Ho is amazing and very professional. He explains everything clearly and also explains throughout the process. His assistant, sorry I missed her name, was also really lovely and caring. I would recommend this practice 100%!
