I've been attending Garforth Dental routinely for a few years now and have seen it improve and grow - a really friendly practice with lots of smiles all around. Someone needs to look after your Teeth and Gums - and Garforth Dental (with a practice in Kippax too) is the place where they know how it's done.

Fantastic experience: Took our 4 year old today. He was expectedly anxious and needs a bit of work doing on one tooth. Magdalena and the dental nurse were so lovely and reassuring with him. Magdalena took her time to show him what she was using and explained what she was going to do every step the way. She let him feel the air on his hand first so that he knew it wouldn't hurt. She really went above and beyond to put him at ease and he came out really pleased with himself for sitting in the chair by himself. Thank you

Fantastic experience: We have been with this practice for nearly 10 years and always had a good experience. Both children need referrals to secondary dental services and they have been really supportive and efficient with this process. Hannah Walker in particular is a fantastic dentist especially with small children. She has been seeing my 3 year old daughter for a year now and consultations are always friendly and calm, my daughter actually looks forward to going to the dentist (and the stickers are the best!).

Fantastic experience: Today 29.3.24, was a winding up session of four until September. I wind Hannah up and she winds me down in the dentist chair. What has acrylic teeth but cannot bite? Well apart from myself before Hannah's attentions, the answer is a comb. If during this transcript I have missed out a compliment, then here it is "You've all done very well!" Ed Today 28,2,25, Oh no! I'm about to use that same pun again but truthfully Hannah did give me 'service on a plate' in both meanings of the expression. If that made you smile, try this one Q 'what is the longest word in the dictionary'. A, - SMILES - because there's a mile between each 'S' ! (groan!). Today, 7.2.25, I've had some images taken over the years, but none more shocking then my mouth's interior with missing teeth! Fortunately Hannah will soon be performing miracles, giving me some of them on a plate. Ed Today, 17.1.25 was another expertly executed session with Hannah and Co. (didn't catch the other name). I felt like Royalty, although that part was only a temporary Crown. More sessions to come, not too distant, so will reduce any yawning gaps in time and teeth. Kind Regards E

Negative experience: I am writing this review on behalf of my daughter, who had a filling at this practice. Please try to avoid this surgery if you have option to go some where else. I am completely dissatisfied with what they have done to my daughter's tooth. A tooth filling caused a severe root infection, and now they are suggesting either a root canal or removal of the tooth." If I have a chance to give rating 0 I am happy to provide the big ZERO rating.

Fantastic experience: The best dentist for children. Magdelaina is really good with children, explaining the process with them from start to finish, no rushing. My kids look forward to their appointments now. If your looking for a dentist for your little one then this is the one! They vary between garforth and kippax too which gives you a wider range of accessibility to appointments.

The staff are friendly and although I have only needed a checkup and a visit to the hygienist I am well satisfied with the quality of service I received.

Negative experience: Absolutely not a clue......turned up 5 mins late and was told to come back in two hours? Honestly really bad customer experience. The person on reception is the first thing people see about a business they are brand ambassadors to your business. You need to spend time upskilling staff.

This time Hannah did my treatment herself and I had a much better experience. She considered what I told her, and took what I said onboard. Fantastic experience: I started coming to Garforth dental in the pandemic 2020 I hadn’t seen a dentist for over 10 years and was petrified, I had a consultation with Jon who was amazing and explained all the things I needed to get done we came up with a treatment plan so I could split it (needed a fair few fillings) fast forward to today just had a checkup and everything is still looking good. The place is always so friendly which helps to put me at ease couldn’t recommend the place more!!

Fantastic experience: Just visited Garforth Dental today and was greeted with a beautiful smile and a warming hello from the receptionist as she asked my name and quickly booked me in. The dental nurse came to collect me and was very polite and welcoming. When I sat in the chair Dr Lam as always was welcoming talkative and make me feel so relaxed. I had some x-rays taken and was asked if I had any problems with my teeth which I did not. The only negative thing I have is I had to cancel an appointment 24 hours before as I was away and their policy states 48 hours. I did explain I was out of the country and tried to contact them before hand to no avail. I received an email stating that two missed appointments and I would be removed from there patients list. I was informed that 100 hours of appointments had been missed over a short period of time which is absolutely disgraceful when some people can’t get appointments. I did apologise as it was an unforeseen event I’d not taken into account. I still think this dental Practice is outstanding and find it enjoyable when I have an appointment, strange but I do feel very relaxed when I go.

Fantastic experience: Having been totally satisfied with our previous dentist and practice I was not sure I would feel the same about Garforth dental. My first experience was with an emergency appointment to look at a tooth that was causing infection in the gum. I was treated promptly and it was suggested by Jon to have a checkup before planning treatment for the affected tooth. The checkup was thorough and I have been given the information clearly to be able to choose the appropriate treatment for my circumstances. Thank you all for your professionalism.

Fantastic experience: I was very pleased with the dentist C. Sim, he was very caring and professional, I went with receding gums which caused a great deal of pain and sensitivity. Dr Sim filled the area helping to relieve the pain and sensitivity and also improved the overall appearance of my gums.

Negative experience: They have you over a barrel, and they know it. I would say try somewhere else, but I suspect all Botox/Dentistry shops are the same. I have not been able to see a GP or Dentist since I retired from the military seven years ago. Constant pain makes me more than a little grumpy, so I decided to go private for dentistry. My experience here was awful. I have offered my complaint to the practice before reviewing here but the experience with the practice manager was equally bad. After starting my monthly payments, I booked in for an initial hygiene appointment. I received a self-check-in email 2 hours before the appointment, it made no mention of all the staff running late with appointments. I arrived 5 – 10 minutes before the allotted time. I booked in using the link provided in the self-check-in email it confirmed my arrival, but it made no mention of all the staff running late with appointments. There were multiple admin, beautician, nail bar and dentistry staff milling around but no mention was made to me about all the staff running late with appointments. There are multiple flat screen TV’s advertising the shops beautification services but none of them displayed any messages about all the staff running late with appointments. There were no locally manufactured signs about all the staff running late with appointments. According to their policy If I run late or miss an appointment, I am fined £2 per minute. I have asked around and most people I have spoken to just accept the facts that dental appointments can be cancelled at any time by the shop and as a customer you must arrive on time and then wait for the staff to fit you in. I guess I am in the minority complaining about this. I am trying to find a dentist in Germany. Expensive but every single member of staff in a German dental practice is competent, professional and hard working.

Fantastic experience: Of all of the dentists I have had in my life, Natasha is unbelievably good, she is aware of how to personalise your experience to help make you feel comfortable, informed throughout your treatment and her level of execution and patience means her work you receive is exceptional. I have to also say that the rest of the team at both Garforth and Kippax dental from the reception team to the top are friendly, polite and professional. This truly is a 5 star practice.

From the start to the end of my treatment I have felt welcome, well informed and free to ask questions regarding my treatment. It was easy to keep in touch either via the invisalign app or via WhatsApp and garforth dental were also able to accommodate appointments around my full time teaching job (which wasn't always easy). Fantastic experience: Had fillings done here and I was super nervous, but Clifford my dentist made me feel so comfortable. I was more nervous for the injection as most people are but he reassured me and then I didn’t feel a thing at all, I was so shocked. I don’t think I ever will be nervous for a fillings again.. During the time he has been treating my children (11 and 7) he has put them at ease, which meant when one of them had to have a longer procedure today, she was fine with it. Fantastic experience: I have just returned from my latest visit to Garforth Dental. For anyone looking for a Dentist in this area, either NHS or private, I would highly recommend this practice and especially Mr Clifford Sim who both my wife and myself attend. It is an excellent, very modern practice with state of the art equipment along with the full range of dental services including hygienist, teeth whitening and Invisalign teeth straightening. The Receptionists are also very friendly and efficient. Clifford and his nurse are excellent. He's a lovely young guy, highly skilled, and his relaxed and friendly nature immediately puts you at ease. There is a car park behind the surgery which does tend to be very busy so when attending the surgery allow a bit of time beforehand for a space to become available.

Fantastic experience: Such a friendly practice, with very professional staff. You're made to feel very safe and calm. My dentist explained everything before and after my check up, which I've never had before. This helped me to understand what future treatment might be needed.

Negative experience: A Money-orientated dentist who has no regard for their patients or their well-being. After having to cancel an appointment and giving over 24 hours' notice due to my mum being admitted to the hospital for testing on her chest and lumber, and not physically being able to attend her appointment we were advised that we would have to pay a cancellation fee. However, If you have any symptoms of a respiratory illness such as a high temperature, cough, cold, runny nose or cold sore (obviously something that can impact the health and safety of their employees) then you can cancel without any issues - How is that justified? You need to give a full working day's notice, however, the specifics of this are very vague and I wonder how many vulnerable people have been unethically charged. When first calling the staff were unprofessional and withdrawn, not interested in what we had to say or why my mum was attending hospital - this caused a great deal of frustration. Asking to speak with a manager, you are advised to email, but with each phone call you are passed from person to person before finally speaking with the Practice Manager who has the same abrupt attitude as previously received and then becomes condescending towards your upset. It seems you are unable to call more than once to ask questions associated with your complaint. I am yet to wait for the contract signed by my mother which surely should be instantly accessible as part of legal data protection legislation but considering their morally corrupt policies wouldn’t be surprised if many amendments take place before receiving it. Furthermore, had the staff listened to why she was attending the hospital (for tests on chest and lumber which we were willing to provide proof of, had we been asked) then they would have been aware that respiratory problems were present and all this could have been avoided, instead of losing a patient. One provided one star to be able to write the review. * * For the record, We already advised your practice Manager this afternoon that we would no longer be using your services, this was verbally and in an email. At no point didn’t anyone advise that we could email to appeal, only that it was policy. Saying I accused them of lying is a fabrication, what could I have possibly suggested they was lying about?! I was the one who suggested I could provide proof, after your members of staff couldn’t justify how an appointment could be cancelled for something as simple as a cough ( as stated within your appointment confirmation emails) but couldn’t a medical emergency. Nor could they advise what was meant by a full working days notice - I gave 24 hours notice. On several occasions I’ve asked to speak with a manager and have emailed but had no response until now until posting on facebook demonstrating that you are only trying to protect your reputation rather than resolve/discuss the issue.
