Negative experience: Expensive. Real problems with Dentist who crowned an unvaiable tooth which caused months of pain. The crown had to come out when dentures fitted. Dentures were not fit for purpose

Fantastic experience: Amazing hygienist appointment with Shannon this morning, so friendly, and compassionate in the way she works. I used to have a fear of the dentist - now I actually look forward to my appointments! Always a great service at Plymouth Dental Centre of Excellence from arrival, though treatment, to making your next appointment at the desk, plus great communication with their appointment reminders.

Fantastic experience: My husband Trevor has received exemplary treatment from this dental practice ever since becoming a patient many years ago. He has had implants amongst other procedures & the after care has always been amazing. He was seen yesterday by Lyndsey the hygienist, who examined him very thoroughly & when seeing something untoward was seen by the dentist & a referral was placed to Derriford Hospital. An appointment has been received within 24 hours. You cannot get better than that! Many thanks to the team.

Fantastic experience: I can not believe the team here. From a patient that cried and shook every time she came in, to a person who has reached her dream of being able to smile I will be forever grateful to everyone especially Chad and the team of dental nurses, none of whom made me feel silly crying like a child, held my hand and looked after me so well. I no longer need to hide from photographs or smile with my lips together. I once got out of a bathroom window and ran 5 miles home from a dentist (not these guys), these guys made me feel comfortable in my terror they felt like family. Although my mouth is more expensive than anything else I own, I will be forever grateful to Chad and his team, nurses and reception staff. THANK YOU, you have made my dream come true ❤️ today is less than 24 hours after the procedure and apart from a headache I feel marvelous Thank you all again. You have become my hero's.

Fantastic experience: Had a routine hygienist appointment and the staff were amazing. Shannon and Katie were very comforting and patient with me. Fully relaxed atmosphere with good chatting and laughing to keep the mood good. Was given good advice and a plan going forward with good detail of root causes and fixes. See you again in 3 months!

Negative experience: I feel as though they just tried to milk me for any penny they could and I wish I’d checked the prices at other dentists first, also the dentist went for the highest option on every treatment minimum they wanted was £2000 to save a tooth £200 for a scale and polish. Just another scamming dentist

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Plymouth Dental Centre of Excellence enough. I’ve always been such a nervous patient and have had some bad experiences with supposed reputable Dentists. I needed to have some dental work done and it took me ages to pluck up the courage to try them, but after reading reviews I decided to give them a try and honestly I knew almost immediately I was in the right place. So caring and really go out of their way to help, they even helped me in an emergency not long after I joined the practice. If you’re a nervous patient honestly don’t hesitate.

Fantastic experience: Dental treatment is something I dread. However, I had a filling and an extraction, and have to say that Joanne and her nurse where very gentle and professional, as well as willing to tell me anything I wanted to know. I could definitely recommend Joanne as an excellent dentist.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic treatment today. Shannon the hygienist was so kind, friendly, bubbly and put me at ease. Reassured me that there was a way forward with my gum disease. Great pain free treatment. Then off to Jo, the dentist for a good check up and again lovely experience. Talked through all treatment needed explaining the best way forward. Again reassuring and kind. I must mention the receptionists who were warm and helpful with a smile. Everyone I met today was very competent, kind, patient and friendly. Thank you and I would very highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Today I’ve had my initial consultation with Dr. Jo and I am over the moon! She carefully examined me and explained everything to me with much patience! She presented me with the possible treatment options and made sure I have a say in what would be best for me! Amazing professionalism and patient centred care! Fantastic experience: Until recently I wasn’t a big fan of visiting dental hygienists - previous visits elsewhere have been quite uncomfortable experiences. I was welcomed by Sian & Sam where Sian explained each phase of the treatment she was undertaking, offering advice at the same time. The whole procedure was a comfortable experience - & pain free. I definitely won’t be dreading my next visit in 6 months time. Thank you to the whole team for their very professional manner in treating their patients.

Fantastic experience: For most of my life I was not a fan of dentists, until I found Plymouth Dental Centre of Excellence. The overall feeling when I walk through the door , is no longer panic and stress. The receptionists and the dentists are all friendly relaxed and welcoming. I am also a huge fan of being on the dental plan, because it allows for the those treatments that can crop up out of the blue. It allows me to feel relaxed about being able to access to a dentist who I know and trust. Yesterday, I had to visit the dentist to have a check up and was overjoyed when I realised no payment was due, because I pay a monthly plan amount. The check up was as always ,relaxed, friendly and full of advise . The previous appointment I attended was with a Hygienist which in the past, for me at least was something I dreaded before . That appointment had no sharp nerve strikes which I have always dreaded. If you are looking for a dental practice, please contact, The Plymouth Dental Centre of Excellence , before you try any other dentists.. When you walk in through the door, you will see people sitting in the waiting room with relaxed smiles .

Fantastic experience: I have recently had a lot of issues with my teeth and Cam has been great from the start. I have started the process of having several implants and Cam was so good at explaining everything to me. Since then, I have had work done by Sian & Chad who have both been brilliant. Really kind and caring and so good at explaining everything. Would highly recommend :)

Fantastic experience: Dr Cam and the supporting members of staff have welcomed me into their practice recently. Having a complex set of teeth and gums to work through has been a challenge and a journey; thankfully I have a team of enthusiastic professionals who I trust is reassuring. 2nd Update: Cam recently carried out some work on my top and bottom teeth. My temporary dentures look and feel great. 3rd update: Sian and Megan carried out a hygiene clean of my teeth and gums. This is by far the most painless treatment I've had. Fantastic experience: Had a long session with Magda while she fitted a crown. A second attempt as last time the mould was not right ...only a quarter of a mllimetre out ..but not near enough for Magda so we had another go this week. It's been a long haul but I am glad to say Magda's meticulous care has paid off and the fitting this time went without a hitch. Thankyou for the care and attention Magda..a great job.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved from crownhil dental practice to Plymouth dental COE. Crownhil was awful and wrecked my teeth with incompetence. From failed root canals and not spotting filling which need replacing. So I moved dentist saw DR chad on for initial appointment. He was fantastic extremely kind and through, spotted all the issues which I've had for ages. Built a treatment plan to fix all issues. Then saw Sian today for hygiene appointment. She was incredible, so kind and gentle with me and my sore teeth. I would recommended. The price is not cheap but you only get one set of teeth. So may as well keep them.

Fantastic experience: Great service and everyone is extremely friendly! Dr Armaghani was great and very welcoming, did a great job! I had part of my tooth chip away and they got me in very quickly, very professional.

Negative experience: I visited this dental center after seeing their advertisements everywhere online. I expected a high level of professionalism, but I was quite surprised by my experience. Upon entering, the receptionist on duty was very unpleasant and unprofessional. She hurriedly told me to go to the waiting room and fill out a form on a tablet, which I had already completed at home. I expressed my intention to fill it out in front of her, but she insisted that there were patients waiting behind me for registration. I pointed out that there was no one behind me, and if there had been, I would move aside. Her demeanor was so off-putting that when I mentioned this, she turned her head with a dissatisfied expression to her colleagues, who were busy chatting, as if to draw attention to me. Eventually, not knowing how to handle the situation, she indicated once again where I should sit. Dissatisfied with her behavior, I promised myself I would never return to this dental centre. In any case, I didn't have time to complete the form, as I was immediately called into the room. While I could mention a few more aspects of my dissatisfaction, I will leave those observations for others who might experience similar issues after visiting this center. I was very stressed by the behavior of this lady, and as a result, I no longer want to have my teeth treated at this clinic. While not everyone may have had a similar experience, such situations can occur. According to the advertisements online, it seems that everyone working there is trained to care for patients in a way that minimizes stress.

My experience with him from start to finish was excellent, he thoroughly explained the process so that I would understand, the whole team were very professional at all times. Fantastic experience: Fantastic service, all team members are polite, helpful and friendly. Over the last year I've had teeth extracted, old fillings replaced, crowns fitted and implants to replace some of the extracted teeth. I cannot thank Cameron enough for all the work he has done, he is patient, explains everything makes you feel at ease even through what can be major surgery. I fully recommend them.

Negative experience: I wasn’t listened to when I said I did not like my denture I spent about 30 minutes telling the lady I did not like my dentures I did not look like myself that they were too much in my mouth and the teeth were massive.. to be repeatedly told they look nice they look natural! the assistant was also encouraged to tell me they were nice even tho they were not! I felt cornered.. I didn't like them I was made to feel I had no other choice to accept what I was given cost £5000 for everything.. i cant wear the denture i cant even close my mouth properly to swallow. I don’t wear them I don’t go out now! it has also had a major impact on my mental health.. I no longer go out. I never went back for my last appointment because what’s the Point no one is going to listen to me..

I have now completed my treatment, which has included a full implant upper bridge and 2 implanted crowns. Cameron and Maddie, who have been responsible for my treatment, are outstanding, as is the rest of the practice. Fantastic experience: Got me in for an emergency filling when ai broke my tooth. Staff were the most lovely staff I have met at a dentist and I will be registering here as my main dentist now. The dentist that saw me was kind and caring and Im very impressed with the service.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank Reshmi and all the team at the Dental Centre for their kindness and efficiency helping me when a large filling fell out of my mouth. I was given an appointment promptly for a temporary filling, followed quickly afterwards by an appointment to replace my filling properly. I'm a nervous patient and all the team were kind and sympathetic. Reshmi explained exactly what she was doing and the whole procedure was pain free. I will return to this practice.

Positive experience: 5 stars for my Hygenist appointment with Lindsey. Very personable and gave great feedback and advice follow the treatment. But knocked 2 off post appointment. I didn’t appreciate Kerry on reception calling me a few days later accusing me of not paying my bill. I insisted I did many times but Kerry didn’t believe me until I described the person who took my payment. I told Kerry to ask her if I paid my invoice. Didn’t hear anything after that funnily enough..

Fantastic experience: So... My experience as a new patient has been excellent. From first contact until a completed replacement crown will be about 3 weeks, much much faster than I could've hoped for. I am a bit of a a nervous patient - reception staff have been very friendly which makes a big difference. Today's hygienist visit with Nicole was excellent, she was very considerate and did a great job. Then I had my damaged crown removed and prepped for the new one by Chad and his assistant. Both were great and very considerate. So that's a total of three separate visits now, overall, pretty flawless service. Thank you so much

Fantastic experience: Have been fortunate to not have any issues with my teeth bar one filling in 46 years. But cracked a tooth and ended up here through my own enquiries….. The service was first class from Reshmi and her colleagues on front desk and assistants during the treatments and today had crown fitted which with the technology they have was a perfect fit. The cost is the cost and on research is competitive and made easier by interest free credit over 18 months. I have now engaged as a dental fit customer moving forward for hygienist and annual check and would highly recommend especially as there appears to be no NHS option available. Yes our government have failed us to have an NHS service but this service is first class and I would highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I hadn't seen a dentist for about 40 years due to being very nervous of them after a bad experience. I had a tooth break apart recently which forced me to seek a dentist after much nagging from my wife. I had the tooth removed today. No pain, not even from the injection to numb the tooth. When Reshmi, my dentist, told me it was out I couldn't quite believe she'd removed it so fast and without pain. I'm now looking forward to the treatment to come to restore my smile. I'm very glad I chose this place. The staff are excellent.

Fantastic experience: Back again - this time I was so relaxed, I may have “drifted off”. Another visit, with a warm welcome on arrival. Kirsty, assisted by Lorna, provided another pain free experience. Kirsty creates a relaxed atmosphere, before treatment, with a series of anecdotes - a very professional young lady. The dental nurses are very caring before, during, and after treatment.

As I had really bad experience with the school dentist he was a horrible horrible man .I was in the waiting area really getting worried I was really surprised at the dentist Kai and all the nurses who really put me at easy and explained everything I need doing. I did not feel judged, nor did I feel uncomfortable. Chad sorted out the filling that was in desperate need of sorting, he was so kind and understanding, could not ask for a better Dentist than him and all the people at Plymouth Dental Care! The Reception team are always so lovely and attentive and are so easy to speak to. The Dental Nurses are always so lovely and polite and always call for you and walk you to the Dental Room, just the whole experience is so lovely. Fantastic experience: I have recently undergone the initial stage of dental implants. This was never going to be a pleasant experience but it has been made bearable by the knowledge, expertise, explanations and humour of Cameron. I am petrified of the dentist after too many bad experiences as a child in the 70's. I was 'in the chair' for over 2 hours and can honestly say that during that time I had no pain or concern whatsoever (ok, maybe the injection into the roof of my mouth was a little edgy). Cameron took the time to explain each step which certainly put me at ease.....with a bit of humour thrown in along the way! His dental assistant (I think it was Amelia??) was also excellent. Reception staff are always friendly and cheerful - I can't recommend this practise and especially Cameron enough! If anyone out there has been considering dental implants but is concerned about the process then pop along to Plymouth Dental Centre of Excellence - you won't be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: My first appointment here today, examination was with Aleks who was highly professional and explained everything in detail what he was doing and checking for. With a dental plan in place I am very happy with the outcome, highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Lovely practice, very welcoming My treatment required several visits to the hygienist, she was brilliant, made me feel comfortable and getting the injections (which I was nervous about) was pain free. My treatment was excellent and would definitely recommend them to others.

Fantastic experience: Having not been dentist for quite a few years I thought I better go and have a check up, plus I did have a wobbly tooth. I saw Dr Reshmi, she was brilliant, honest down to earth and put me at ease, I had a tooth out quite painless and quick, overall a good experience. Now the downside, as this is private and not NHS dentist the costs can be alittle expensive, but I think the best way to look at it is to look at what it costs for tooth out, fillings etc then look against major work you may have if you don't get the smaller stuff done. Then it would work out very expensive or even be in a position to afford the work

Fantastic experience: I was petrified of going to the dentist after really bad experiences in the past so had not been for fifteen years and after an accident lost my front teeth i really had to find a caring and understanding dentist , well i certainly found it here , straight from the start you are greeted with a warm and friendly staff everyone there is so lovely and all the dentists and hygienists are so understandable and gentle and straight away put you at ease as i was extremely anxious. Dr Mitesh Badiani is the best such a lovely caring man ,highly professional,he has given me my confidence and self esteem back with my new smile of fitted very natural looking teeth. So if you were like me , extremely nervous about going to the dentist i highly recommend Plymouth Dental Centre of E xcellence.

Fantastic experience: The staff are very friendly and helpful. Under the NHS dentist I had several teeth either filled or extracted depending on the theme of the day. For more than 20 years under Plymouth Centre of Excellence I have only had 2 fillings. My dentist is very professional and looks after my teeth. I am very pleased with the treatment I receive and would recommend them to anyone.

Cameron my dental technician was very professional and friendly and explained all the options to me for my next visit . Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment recently, lovely staff at PDC of E. I nearly cancelled my hygiene appointment as I HATE seeing the hygienist. However with the new GBT method it's so different. No sensitivity or unpleasant cleaning anymore. It was almost pleasant! I know, weird right!

Fantastic experience: The surgery from my view is a really well run business. All the staff seem to be a team, all professional, friendly, knowledgeable with a shared goal to deliver to their patients. A thorough inspection is done by an extremely experienced dentist. On completion, professionals in particular fields (best in certain areas ie, fillings or root canal for example) take on the work so you get the best result. This is of course after a treatment plan is made especially for you. Overall, highly recommend if you can get in.

Fantastic experience: Have been going to this practice for over 30 yrs when it was NHS and have carried on. when they went private. I’ve had excellent experiences and care from fillings to 4 implants with no problems at all. Can not praise them enough.

Fantastic experience: I was booked in to have an extraction, I was very nervous to say the least. All went very well and it was over quickly. No pain at all during or after the injection wore off.

Fantastic experience: Hygienist Lyndsay was caring and explained the new process clearly and in detail. She was aware I had been a nervous patient in the past and made sure I was comfortable with everything she did. She also took time to explain how best to avoid gum disease and plaque in the future.
