Fantastic experience: Having not attended a dentist for 28 years because of fear based on childhood dental experience and after a year of therapy I have finally been able to visit a dentist. I can't thank all at Brightside Dental enough for their kindness and understanding of my high levels of anxiety. Today I had an initial consultation with Minal Shah. Everything was taken at my pace and I felt comfortable and listened to. The atmosphere is calm and dare I say relaxing. I can highly recommend Brightside especially to those of us who are frightened of the dentist!

Positive experience: On Monday I attended Brightside Dental for my dental check up with the dentist Ronit. I was relaxed throughout the whole appointment. The appointment started off with Ronit asking if I had any concerns to discuss with him. A 3D scan was carried out on all my teeth and Ronit then went through the images with me. With some recommendations of how my teeth alignment could be improved to make it easier to clean my teeth. I never feel anxious or dread attending this practice as it is such a calm environment. And Ronit always puts you at ease and listens so you can make an informed decision about your treatment.

Positive experience: Great doctor service but not as nice practice office not a nice lady and quite bothered with her duties until her colleague took over she was nice and welcoming so me and my daughter felt really nice and relaxed . Thank you !

Fantastic experience: Today i had a tooth extracted. Ronit and the dental nurse were very patient as i was a little nervous and i asked lots of questions. They explained clearly before and also after how to avoid infection. The extraction was so painless i asked if it was out yet not realiding it had come out.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Brightside Dental for over 20 years. All the staff are friendly and efficient. I recently had a hygienist with Mihaela who is brilliant and has been looking after my teeth for many years now. The new premises at Palmers Green are warm and inviting. I would highly recommend this surgery to everyone.

Fantastic experience: My second visit to Brightside and I can reconfirm that for someone as nervous as I am this is the best dental practice I have ever been to, they are all so friendly and understanding and their up to date treatments make you feel in good hands. Dr Keetan Shah has the most gentle approach ever and I never felt uncomfortable at all, he is an absolute gem. I wish I had had a dentist like this years ago. If you are a nervous patient, you will be really looked after and every thing will be done at a sympathetic pace that suits you .. Thank you ! And I made him a thank you gift too !

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant!! I was scared about my wisdom tooth extraction since I never had a tooth extracted in my life . Doctor Shahrokh was absolutely amazing and his assistant Maria . I didn’t feel a thing !! Everything happened so quickly and painlessly.

Fantastic experience: June 2025 - another fantastic hygiene session with Mihaela today in the new premises, which are state of the art! Everything I said below on a previous review of the service in the old premises still stands, but this time, I lay in the chair whilst my teeth were cleaned and watched a film of nature scenes on the screen above me, which was accompanied by a soothing soundtrack. I was so engrossed, I didn't realise how quickly the session went and it was over in no time. Love this place! Mihaela is an outstanding hygienist. She is thorough, efficient, caring and supportive and with her help I have been able to see a consistent improvement in my oral health. Supported by her very competent assistant, Lily, these two are a real team. It's not often you can say it's a pleasure to go to the dentist. 5 stars!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at Brightside Dental for about five years, back when the clinic was still located on Maidstone Road, just a few steps from my home. I always received excellent treatment there, so when they moved to Palmers Green, I had no hesitation in staying with them. The new clinic is conveniently located right opposite the tube station, making it very easy to reach. It’s a brand-new space with a welcoming atmosphere — the waiting area has comfortable seating, a free coffee station, and beautiful design details and art pieces. It almost feels like you’re on Harley Street, but you’re actually in Palmers Green. This time, I visited them to have both of my lower wisdom teeth removed under sedation. I chose sedation because I was quite anxious about the procedure and preferred not to have any memory of it. Dr. Ketan, who is also my regular dentist and absolutely fantastic, handled the sedation with great care and reassurance. The extraction was performed by Dr. Shahrokh Ali, the clinic’s oral surgeon, who was equally impressive — calm, professional, and highly skilled. The procedure was quick, painless, and I felt completely at ease throughout. I also want to give a huge thank you to the admin team, especially Crystal and Jennifer, who have been incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the process. A special mention goes to Jennifer — she has been absolutely amazing from start to finish. Proactive, patient, always one step ahead, and genuinely kind. Honestly, she’s better than my own PA! She followed up, made sure everything was clear and smooth, and made me feel taken care of at every stage. This clinic continues to deliver a level of care and service that is truly hard to find. I wouldn’t trust my dental health with anyone else.

Positive experience: It was my first visit and the dentist was very kind, careful and explained things very fully. The only thing I really didn't like was that before starting, the assistant pointed a camera at me and asked me to smile for her to take a photo. In hindsight I wonder if this was more for the cosmetic side of the business, which I am not interested in. I have a small mouth and can't smile comfortably open-mouthed, and when I told her that she looked very confused which made me feel embarrassed. Then the dentist used some big metal things to pull my lips back to the sides, and I had to hold them in place myself, which was painful and humiliating. My previous dentist elsewhere did excellent work, but never asked me to do such a thing.

Fantastic experience: This is a new location for Brightside Dental which I was thrilled to find so easy to get to as well as the fresh and bright space providing a genuinely caring and relaxing atmosphere providing friendly efficient and thorough dental care. There are now new screens with music on the ceilings so when you are in the dental chair sitting back you can enjoy the views of beaches and trees. Plus living walls of greenery adding to the relaxing ambience.

Fantastic experience: I will write a detailed review which might perhaps help someone in the same position as I was when I nervously approached this practice. My old dentist was retiring and I needed to find a new one I could trust and who would listen and be sensitive to nervous patients. I chose this dentist because of their excellent reviews. Dr Ketan Shah did a thorough exam, using 3D technology which meant there wasn't too much poking about, to my relief. He offered a lot of cosmetic treatment which I refused, as I only want to be able to eat and speak comfortably, not lose too many teeth, and not be in pain. There was no hard sell. But... I had a lot of work to be done. I opted for sedation for the first treatment, which involved a complex extraction, several fillings and preparation for 2 caps. I was out for 2 hours and can honestly say (to any nervous reader) that I felt NO PAIN during the procedure. As I began to wake up I felt a strong ache in my jaw, as I had held my mouth open for so long. But that was just annoying rather than anxiety-inducing. It is such a relief to know that sedation is available and there are dentists at this surgery who are trained to administer it rather than having to call someone in. Dr Minal Shah managed to do all the fillings and cap prep in one sitting, so it was worth the aching jaw. At home a temporary cover came off as my escort forgot to tell me not to floss. I suggest written instructions for caps/crowns would be helpful for sedated patients. They were immediately able to replace the cover. There is a happy, positive vibe to the whole surgery, from receptionists and nurses to the dentists, which is calming and encouraging (no one wants a stressed dentist). I have to go back for hygiene treament so hope to review that when the time comes.

Fantastic experience: i’m a very nervous patient at the dentist and i found Brightside Dental in hopes of overcoming my fear. i was anxious at the start but i then felt so at ease during my appointment. my dentist was very patient with me talking me through each step before proceeding, and made a care plan for me going forward, he went through everything thoroughly and carefully. he also gave me all the information i needed for finance options which put my mind at ease for my upcoming procedures. i couldn’t be more grateful to finally feel comfortable and confident going to the dentist. i can’t recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: My wife had an implant procedure done at Brightside. The procedure was planned out by Dr Ketan Shah, Surgeon Dr Shahrokh and nurse Lana performed the procedure. Utmost professionalism and care from the team. They are the stars of the Brightside roster. I had to remind myself it was a Dental practice.especially as l have a phobia. A bad one. ......... Bright side is worth it wonderful treatment you are not told off or made to feel guilty they talk to you about everything you need to know. They give you great options so that you can make informed decisions too.

Negative experience: Popped in recently asking to take an x-ray to a tooth..and eventually was going to do my upper jaw 6 on 4 implants....I was told not possible to take an x-ray on one tooth....How ridiculous is that?...They dont know how to do business then....Was happy to do 6 implants with them..Been told they would call me back...They never did....Never mind....Find a better clinic in Oakwood.

Fantastic experience: I had my twice yearly hygienist appointment yesterday with Michaela and Lana. I always look forwards to this teeth cleaning every 6 months because it isn't uncomfortable or painful, but I leave with very clean, smooth and brighter teeth. There are some tricky parts of the teeth which are difficult to keep free of scale but Michaela helps me to get on top of cleaning. She's always very encouraging about my efforts at keeping the teeth free of scale, which I appreciate. And the new premises in Palmers Green are lovely and modern too

Fantastic experience: Update: The new premises in Palmer's Green is lovely, hi tech with a good coffee machine, your choice of music during your treatment. 2hrs parking at Morrisons. As before, excellent and kind dentistry. Ketan really listens and takes time to explain things. They seem to have all the latest machines and prioritise people over profit. Admin is prompt and efficient.

Fantastic experience: I really recommend Dr Shahrokh. I had a wisdom tooth extraction a few years ago and returned again for another wisdom tooth extraction this year. Despite relocating to another part of London, the commute is definitely worthwhile. The treatment was so quick and pain free and most importantly the recovery after the extraction was so smooth!

Today I visited Mihaela the Hygienist who's assisted by Lily the dental nurse, and as always, it's been a calming, reassuring experience. Before I discovered the Team at Brightside Dental I was very anxious visiting dentists/hygienists, but through this specialised team I have become a regular visitor, they are so attentive and compassionate, and I am very grateful to them and Dr. Ketan who leads the team.

I think I may at last have found a dentist to trust for the long term.

Negative experience: Pension mother attended several visits, hightly expensive treatment that did not resolve her dental requirements. Would not recommend practice.

Fantastic experience: Great Dental Practice, attended back in October of 2024. Parking is free at certain times making it convenient to drive to for London, Bounds Green tube is near also. I have been meaning to leave a review for some time but it slipped my mind. I was refereed by my own NHS Dentist to Brightside Dental, this was due to emergency dental surgery being necessary to remove two impacted wisdom teeth and a molar that had been caused a serious cavity and resulting infection, by this impacted condition. I had not been to the dentist for over 30 years mainly due to bad experiences as a child. But the pain of the tooth each gave me little choice. I was pleasantly surprised that things have improved greatly since the 80's and 90's. The professionals that I saw were Dr Shahrokh Ali Navaee and I believe Simona. They made the claim that dentistry could be pain free I was highly sceptical about this, but delighted that apart from the minor prick of the first needle it truly was pain free, Dr Navaee repeatedly checked that I felt no discomfort and was very patient when I made him aware I needed a bit more local anaesthetic, he had already said he wanted to know if I had even the slightest sensation. The end result was three tooth extractions over two very short duration appointments. Also the nurse assisting him on both occasions I believe called Simona was also very professional and more than happy to indulge my odd request to package my teeth so that my two small children could see what a really big cavity looked like and why you must go to the dentist, not have 30 year gap. I am now considering returning to the practice to have my teeth straightened. Of course I highly recommend this dental practice, all other staff and the waiting area are also of a very high standard.

Fantastic experience: I visited Brightside Dental and was pleasantly surprised by the level of care and understanding I received. My teeth were in a pretty bad state, but the staff were incredibly patient and kind. The dentist herself, Dr Minal Shah, was very gentle and took the time to explain everything. I was initially embarrassed about the condition of my teeth, but was made me feel comfortable and reassured throughout the entire process. I'm grateful for their compassion and professionalism. I highly recommend this dental practice to anyone, especially those who may feel anxious or self-conscious about their oral health. Was somewhat surprised on calling them this week to get a quote for Dental Implants, I was informed by Elaina/Alena??? that the costs would be £15k to £20K for the top jaw and £30k to £40k for the lower jaw !!!! Never heard of such high costs! I should have requested in writing. Unbelievable!!!

Positive experience: I have been undertaking remedial dentistry following several years of not visiting a dentist. The Dentist and Hygienist are both professional and clear with the treatment plan to get things in order. So from that perspective, I agree with the comments left in these reviews. However, they are not good value for money. I have just been on the which website, and compared their costs with other dentists in the area plus Harley Street Dentists. They are probably more in line with what you would pay in Harley Street. For example I was quoted £2,500 for an implant and £850 for a crown. Sadly this is a reflection on how dentistry has become more like the US in this country, if you don't have insurance or a deep pocket for a lot of people these costs are out of reach. I also note this practice does not have/take on any NHS patients. From my perspective, I will probably have a further round of maintenance treatment but the more expensive things will certainly need to be prioritised. Its a shame because I do like the dentist and the hygienist at this practice.

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous before having my wisdom teeth removed, thank you to the team at brightside Dental who made me feel very relaxed and welcome thanks especially to Dr Shahrokh Navaee who gave me alot of information before and after the appointment, making me feel very comfortable and not so nervous.

Fantastic experience: Been a patient here for a few years now. Seen the hygienist every 3 months. As I am very phobic about my teeth particularly my top set which after years of poor brushing and only going to dentists when in pain are in a terrible state. I am never made to feel silly or stupid or that I am doing wrong by being a nervous patient with many phobic behaviours. Negar my hygienist is friendly and very patient with me. Her assistant Elif is also very patient and understanding at the constant need for breaks as i struggle with the machinery and the noise of the dentist office. I am gradually getting better at brushing and through still phobic I am able to go more regularly now and am not so anxious when I walk through the door knowing that Negar and Elif will be very welcoming and friendly and helping me with my oral health. I also see Ketan who is my regular dentist. He always explains all the procedures in full detail and is again very understanding of my phobias. I would recommend Brightside to anyone who struggles with phobias around dentist. They will make you feel very welcome and help you overcome your phobias in time.

Negative experience: It was a great experience at the beginning, but they wanted to charge me for a no show appointment, I didn’t go because I received a text a day before, saying if I don’t paid the deposit the appointment will be cancelled, due to this text , I believe that my appointment would be cancelled, so I didn’t go. And after they wanted to charge me , I decided to go somewhere else , as they are not the only one .

Fantastic experience: I've been coming here for years and have been treated by a number of the staff, all of whom are brilliant: Dr Sharokh was incredible in diagnosing and overseeing my treatment for periodontitis, the lovely Negar is my regular hygienist, and Dr Minal guided me through a recent teeth whitening process. I'd highly recommend each and every one of these professionals, including Krystal on reception who is always so friendly and helpful. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Caroline Persaud measured, made and fitted my denture perfectly - super professional, reassuring, listening and responding to my questions - the final fit made me laugh at my improved smile, which surprised me! Positive experience: The dentist i saw this morning was lovely and very clear with her explanations in regards to treatment options. She was very patient and although I'm booked in to see a hygienist, I think I would be very comfortable having her clean my teeth. The only negative is the price of the Wand Injection Technique, which pumps up the price of treatment, which I was surprised by.

Fantastic experience: I visited for a regular hygienist appointment with Negar and Lily, as always, the service and attention was first class. They took their time with the clean and advised me on what I could do at home to keep my teeth in good condition. Absolutely recommend!

I don't feel the fear I used to feel in the past, before I found this dental clinic. IMy fear has greatly reduced. Highly recommend it to anyone who is afraid of going to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: Really professional and caring. All of the staff from reception to dentist are friendly. The environment is clean and even has a charging station in the waiting area. The dental room is calming and when doing anaesthetic a countdown is done before and during to help ease anxiety. Details are checked more than once and I was asked if I wanted the procedure even though I was referred my opinion was taken into consideration. I will definitely use this clinic in future.

Positive experience: im not sure why a review was asked of me today, probably not the best time. ronit has generally been good. Their payment system is a mess, multiple different amounts have been quoted and they are currently trying to change the signed payment plan via whatsapp.

Fantastic experience: I had my hygenist check-up yesterday and that went well. Also I had a dental check-upstraight afterwards. The surgery is always busy but everyone has time to say hello, which is a nice touch. My examination and everthing was fine. So, looking forward to seeing you all in six months time!

Fantastic experience: Had an extraction here today with Dr Navaee, it was a completely un-traumatic experience with absolutely no pain, he explained all the steps and made me feel pretty comfortable about thew whole thing, was very fast and skilled with the whole procedure. Part 2: Went back for my tooth extraction appointment with Shahrokh, I was a bit nervous, but have to say it was a quick and painless experience. Shahrokh explained the aftercare of the tooth extraction and advice what to eat drink etc. Would recommend

Fantastic experience: Today I saw the Negar one of the hygienist and Elif. They were so friendly and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. They were very reassuring during my appointment. Kept checking I was okay. Explained what was happening each step of the way.

Fantastic experience: I had 2 appointments in July 2024 with Ketan, each for the replacement of 3 aging fillings. My observations: The team seem happy and professional. My treatment was completely pain free. I actually found it so relaxing that I was starting to drop off to sleep in the chair!! Ketan did a great job, and as soon as the injections wore off, my new fillings were immediately so comfortable that it was hard to tell that any change had happened. This is a high quality practice, and highly recommend.
