Negative experience: Botched bottom teeth In February 2023, Dr Alka Nathwani filed off large portions of my bottom teeth during a routine Invisalign appointment, leaving my teeth different shapes and sizes and the dentine exposed (making it it difficult to drink cold or hot drinks). She had "stepped in" to cover for her brother and owner of the practice, Dr Hanel Nathwani. This followed two years of questionable treatment by the wider team at the practice, where I was regularly gaslight about the length of treatment time and left with biting blocks on during my wedding. I had entrusted Reading Smiles to straighten bottom teeth for my big day. Instead I have been left with lifetime damage. Since the incident the General Dental Council has ruled against Alka Nathwani, which resulted in a six month warning on her file. I have also received a settlement outside of court following legal proceedings. For those attending Reading Smiles, please consider that none of the team are orthodontists and do your research. I wish I had.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at Smiles Reading and Smiles Kingston for around 6 years now, and my experience has been nothing short of exceptional. I first started with Invisalign appointments at Smiles Reading with Dr. Hanel, and from the very beginning, I was impressed. Dr. Hanel is not only highly professional and an expert in his field, but he also truly cares about his patients. He always provided the best recommendations, explained every step clearly, and ensured regular follow-ups to make sure everything was progressing perfectly. When I moved back to Elmbridge, I continued my Invisalign journey at Smiles Kingston and visiting Dr Hanel at Reading for re-aligments, and I was amazed to see that the team in Kingston follows the same principles, values, and high standards set by Dr. Hanel. It’s rare to find a dental team that genuinely cares so much about their patients, but here, they really do. I’ve always been a little nervous about dentists and treatments, but this team changed that for me. They explain everything patiently and make sure you’re comfortable every step of the way. Although my Invisalign case was straightforward, along the way I lost a tooth (after a root canal done at another practice), and of course, I came back to Smiles for help. Once again, Dr. Hanel guided me in the right direction. I had the implant procedure done by Dr. Fahad Jamil, who is also an outstanding expert. The whole process was seamless and reassuring. Now that I’ve completed both my Invisalign and implant treatments, I honestly miss the team! I never thought I’d say this, but I actually miss going to the dentist. I wholeheartedly recommend Smiles Reading and Smiles Kingston to anyone looking for expert care, professionalism, and a team that truly has your best interests at heart.

Fantastic experience: Had a really good experience at Reading Smiles, from the moment I went in until the moment I left. The building is very clean and furnished nicely, and has a much better atmosphere than many other dentists I’ve been to where it’s been quite sterile and depressing. Dr Johanna and her dental assistant Shristi were very professional, and I’ll definitely be booking with them again for my next appointment. Someone who also deserves a mention is Mario at the upstairs reception who was also very friendly and warm. Good customer service goes a long way, and the team here have bundles of it! Thanks.

Fantastic experience: Had a serious medical emergency today on a work trip, my front tooth had become detached and I was in a panic. Fantastic experience: Truly, the best dental practice I’ve visited. Everybody is welcoming, hospitable, efficient and responsive. The practice is comfortable, has a great mellow atmosphere and if I don’t say so myself, the mint and cucumber water is a taste sensation. Dr Yusuf Alshafi, my man. This man is top draw. Professional, understanding, methodical, knowledgeable and easily approachable, you won’t find a better implant dentist out there. He fixed a near 20 year issue, changed my smile and improved my confidence. Forever grateful.

Fantastic experience: I had a Hygiene appointment, Teeth Whitening and composite bonding done to 4 teeth with Dr Bikram. Every appointment was so quick and efficient and from start to end it was all done in 3 appointments across 5 weeks. They gave me one price that I paid and that was all which I was very happy about (I was expecting there to be extra charges). Also to note, Dr Bikram added on some extra enamel onto my teeth in the first ever appointment to give me a quick taster to how the final product would look which really helped as I was able to express how I wanted my teeth to look in terms of shape and colour. Dr Bikram did a really great job, my teeth are extremely natural looking which is what I wanted and I’ve been ever so confident since the composite bonding. Would highly recommend as the prices are very competitive and the service/procedure is a 10/10

Fantastic experience: Excellent quality of repair work and dental hygiene advice. Although they teeter slightly on the edge of unnecessary or wrong treatment (Invisalign for minor temporary bad positioning, or severe surgery for decay on the back teeth exposed by wisdom tooth removal, silicone mouth guard despite expressing texture aversion), generally everyone meets or exceeds my expectations.

Fantastic experience: I had Invisalign treatment here with Dr Sonam - really happy with the final results, a lovely wider smile but still natural looking. Everyone in the clinic is so friendly and they make you feel really comfortable! I would definitely recommend Dr Sonam for Invisalign and composite bonding.

Fantastic experience: As someone who has an absolute phobia of both needles and dentists, due to childhood trauma, I cannot recommend this practice highly enough, including every member of staff I interacted with, the reception staff, the nurses and the amazing Dr Nhova, who understood my phobia, didn't dismiss it but instead put me at ease throughout my treatment. Over the past few years I’ve spent a lot of time in the practice and the customer service has carried on over those years. Fantastic experience: Twice in a row, I had my hygiene treatment here. Very professional from the first hello to the last goodbye. The only downside, in my opinion, is that they ask for payment upfront, which is probably a way to ensure people are not booking without intention. Apart from this minor detail, everything is outstanding.

Fantastic experience: I rarely write reviews, but I was so impressed with my experience at Reading smiles that I had to share. I had a tooth implant done by Dr Yusuf and I couldn't be happier. No one really enjoys going to the dentist, especially for such lengthy procedures like tooth implant, but Reading Smiles made the whole experience flawless. The nurses Lalita and Gabi were so friendly and approachable, even made my mum coffee while she was waiting for me one day. Fantastic experience: When I chipped my front tooth this year I hit absolute panic mode as I knew in only a few months time I’d be getting married, and those photos last a lifetime! Having never registered with a Dentist since moving to Reading a couple of years ago, the initial search that day for where I could get my tooth fixed was frantic, but Reading Smiles’ website was easily the most straight forward I found and I was contacted within a day to arrange for a consultation with Dr Jaspal. I was so nervous before coming as I hadn’t been to see a Dentist for years but Dr Jaspal offered me a check up there and then, took the time to understand what I was hoping to achieve for my Wedding and was so thorough in explaining the treatment I would need; I left that day with a treatment plan I fully understood. I had a hygiene appointment ahead of starting whitening treatment, a new filling to replace the old that had become so loose and once I was satisfied with the colour I had achieved with my at home whitening (which only took a few weeks if I’m honest) I had bonding to fill in the chipped area of my front tooth. I couldn’t have been happier with the results I achieved, I felt so confident on my Wedding day and I have been able to maintain my smile since! I cannot recommend Dr Jaspal enough, he really takes the time to understand his patient’s needs and goals and there is a really personal touch at this Practice. Every single member of staff I have encountered have been so friendly and helpful, I have had routine hygiene appointments and check ups since and will keep coming back as the quality of care and treatment is second to none

Fantastic experience: I had raging toothache on Friday evening 15th November. I left a voicemail for Reading Smiles and got a call back at 08.30am Saturday morning from the lovely Ana, who pulled out all the stops to get me an emergency appointment at 2.30pm that day. I met with the dentist Dr Francisco and team. He immediately put me at my ease, very calming and re-assuring. He was also very thorough and kindly explained the x-rays to me, to identify the problem. I was given a week's antibiotics which made a huge difference straightaway. I would have no hesitation in recommending this dentist and the practice.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to Reading smiles for over 7 years and my main hygienist has been Dr Dayle whose expertise has kept my teeth and gums going strong. He always provides and shared tips on maintaining stronger teeth like the mouth wash to use, drinking my coffee with a straw to minimise coffee stains. O always feel welcomed and that’s why I keep coming back, I always enjoy catching up and talking about life and what’s been happening in the last 6 months before and after the sessions. Fantastic experience: I recently had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Krupesh at Reading Smiles for composite bonding. The practice itself is spotless and beautifully designed. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were always polite and welcoming. I cannot recommend Dr. Krupesh (and the practice) enough. From the initial consultation, he provided a thorough and informative overview of the options available to achieve the smile I wanted. These included 3 different plans, varying on cost and how much work would be required. Dr. Krupesh offered a realistic and affordable approach without compromising on quality. The bonding procedure itself took about 4-5 hours, but the time flew by and was a smooth and seamless process. I went back 2 weeks later for minor adjustments, and the results were fantastic. However, 2 months later, I decided I wanted one final tweak, and the practice were incredibly accommodating, fitting me in quickly. Now my teeth are exactly as I envisioned - absolutely perfect! Dr. Krupesh was always friendly, professional, and easy to work with. He is not only skilled but also incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, making sure every detail was just right. Nothing was too much to ask, and he ensured I was comfortable throughout the entire experience. Negative experience: I went for a simple procedure to reattach a fallen veneer. After the dentist put it back, there was some excess material behind the tooth. Instead of removing the excess, the dentist decided to also shorten the healthy tooth that was touching it. I decided to stop and finish the job myself at home. If I had continued, I would have ended up with another problem. A professional dentist would consider doing something like this.

Fantastic experience: I have honestly had the most incredible experience with Reading Smiles. From the helpful, considerate and such friendly reception team, to Dr Krupesh and his amazing assistants. Thank you all for making my dream smile a reality. I came to Dr Krupesh having just had my braces removed, with the hope of making my teeth more symmetrical and whiter in time for my wedding day. He has been so accommodating to everything I have asked for, and has been honest with his opinions on how my bonding should look. I knew from the very first appointment that I was in safe hands, and I have not had a single complaint to make. My experience has been 5* and I will be back when the time comes to spruce up my smile - Thank you SO much for making my whole year!

Fantastic experience: I had a very positive experience at Reading Smiles. My dentist, Sonam, and nurse, Sneha, did their absolutely best to reassure me and put me at ease. I am very nervous about going to the dentist, but they really did help make it as pleasant an experience as possible. The cavity work done was painless and the cleaning went extremely well, if there was any sensitivity, the dentist stopped and did the cleaning manually. I would highly recommend them.

Positive experience: I would like to thank the receptionist Ann for efficiently booking an appointment with Dr Sonam Sherpa for my Mother who had serious complications from a tooth extraction a few days earlier. My Mother was suffering from great pain after (as we understand) some bone shards were left exposed in her mouth following an extraction with one of the Practice's dentists. This caused her great pain, sleepless nights and, worst of all, anxiety as to what was happening given that she was previously assured all was well. Dr Sherpa was able to see my Mother quickly, assess her and immediately fix the problem. This resulted in a huge sense of relief for my Mother as her pain subsided she had her first peaceful night for many days and she felt much stronger. The lower star rating is because Mother had called the clinic the previous day with the same symptoms but spoke by telephone to a different receptionist. Mum explained her situation, her pain and her fears that there may have been some complications, however the receptionist seemed uninterested and there was a feeling that she just wanted to get rid of her, rather than help alleviate the suffering. The result was an extra day of great pain, fatigue and another sleepless night until Mum visited the practice in person the following day.

Fantastic experience: I genuinely cannot express the extent of my gratitude. From the outset, Sonam treated me like family and even opened up a treatment date on his day off, to facilitate my timescales. On the day of the treatment, both Sonam and Shuha cared for me extremely well and made me very comfortable. It is wonderful to have such down to earth Dr’s and Nurse’s. The results… phenomenal is genuinely an understatement. Life changing is more appropriate. I cannot thank Sonam and Shuha enough. I will be recommending Reading Smiles and especially my care team to everyone I know, unprompted!

Fantastic experience: Hi, In my recent visit to Reading Smiles, I was very impressed with the front desk staff and their professional approach and found them to be very welcoming especially when you have your 12 year old son for his routine check-up. Priyanka who was at the front desk made him comfortable as he was very nervous. The Dentist (Johana) who was examining my son's teeth was equally professional and kind hearted and took every bit of a care during the entire process. In short, would highly recommend the place for good professional advice/checks.

Fantastic experience: Dr Nigel. Not only he is very professional in his job, he is very friendly and kind with his approach to his patients. My visit with him was without stress and very relaxing, I am very satisfied with my new teeth and the teeth were completed as very detailed and professional. Fantastic experience: I have had a dental plan with RS for over a year now but have been a patient for much longer. I have regular check-ups and hygienist appointments which have greatly improved my oral health. TMD and bruxism have led to cracked teeth and crowns, therefore, having access to RS's exceptional team is part of my long-term approach to overall good health as I would like to keep my teeth for as long as possible and avoid having more implants and crowns! Dr Mo, Rebecca and Dayle are fantastic health care practitioners, and I can't praise Mario enough: his extensive knowledge of anything that has to do with teeth, along with his friendliness and professionalism means that reception staff is great at helping us make informed choices pre and post appointments. It really makes a big difference. Fantastic experience: Krupesh changed my life for the better! I had a long course of treatment and subsequent Invisalign, I had issues which previous dentists had said they could not fix but Krupesh managed to pull it out the bag and has given me a smile that I’m finally proud of, for the first time in 30 years. Fantastic experience: I feel so much more confident now that I’ve got the smile I’ve always hoped for! Service was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. From arriving and being welcomed by the team at reception to the dentists who conducted the service everyone made me feel very welcomed and looked after. Everyone had a lot of time for me, making sure I could ask any questions I wanted and making sure I understood all the procedures. I was taken great care of and came out with gorgeous teeth. Fantastic experience: I hadn’t been to a dentist in over 10 years, so was expecting the worse. I was prescribed some quite invasive treatment to bring my teeth back to health. Dr Sonam and Ana were lovely and exceptionally professional. They talked me through all the processes, making me feel comfortable throughout. It was a completely painless experience. Recovery was very quick. The best bit is, my teeth! From feeling wobbly, cracked with some pain and unhygienic . They now feel solid, clean, strong and healthy. Highly recommendable.

Positive experience: I had a couple of fillings and a cleaning in the last 3 months. Dr Ismail is really friendly and explains all the procedures through. Not so long waiting times. Sorting invoicing took a little bit of time but got there in the end.

Fantastic experience: Thanks to my Dr. Francisco Kausila who is very patient, respectful and so comfortable to be with. The invisalign treatment took longer than it was expected because of my silly teeth but Dr. Francisco was very so kind and highly professional and now I am super satisied of my smile. In addition, Reading Smiles clinic is so clean, the fragrance when you enter is fabulous and the staffs are so friendly.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience as always with Reading smiles. I’m definitely a nervous patient, as I suffer with sensitivity, but I was put at ease straight away. I have some chipped teeth and wasn’t happy with my smile, so I was keen on composite bonding to help improve the uniformity but was nervous of whether that would damage or cause sensitive to my teeth. Dr Mohamad Hatabi was very professional and explained composite bonding to me, and really went above and beyond to make sure the end result of my composite bonding was natural and perfect. The procedure was painless and I’m absolutely loving the finished look. Thank you Dr Mo for a fantastic experience and highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Dr Bikram and his team at Smile Rooms Reading enough! It took me years to find some where I felt comfortable enough to trust with my teeth and smile and they did not disappoint! They were all so accommodating and kind Dr Bikram and dental nurse Sammie were amazing throughout the whole process and made me feel so welcomed. The reception team including Paige and Mario were so lovely too! Not to mention the dentist itself is beautifully decorated and new feeling! 1000/10 from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Special Thanks to Dr Tinashe for crafting my new smile and exceeding all my expectations by far. I had the bonding done on my front teeth as there was a gap between them and the enamel was uneven. Fantastic experience: I’d recently stopped “social smoking” so I had some staining on my front teeth, a lot of dark, hard plaque behind my bottom front teeth, yellowing and mild plaque on my middle-back top molars. Mariya Mahmood gave me a full hygienist clean and She Got Everything within 30 mins. All the plaque, the stains, everything in one visit. There was some pain but she was very attentive and gave me breaks when I needed but I was willing to take a bit of pain because I wanted to let her “go for it” and I’m so glad I did. Before I came to Reading Smiles I had a hygenist clean and they said it would take two visits to fully clean the plaque which I now realise was them either trying to make extra money or just not being as good. Totally changed my attitude toward hygienist cleaning for the better and would 1000% recommend Mariya if you want instant, incredible results and serious bang for your buck. 10/10
