Fantastic experience: Due to Covid I haven't been able to register with a Dentist for 4 years, like a lot of people nowhere was taking on new patient's. Then I got in touch with the Smile Dentist team ( After calling 19 Dentists!) I finally got accepted ..The receptionist was very nice and helpful..I managed to even get a cancellation appointment to say I was so relieved and happy at the same time as I was in need and desperate for a check up as I had been experiencing some tooth problems . I would just like to Thank you so much for accepting and helping me Jemma was brilliant..highly recommended. I have since had several treatments from the Lovely Jemma Stones and all I can say is what an outstanding Dentist she is always informative, kind reassuring and explains everything in detail..the work she has done on my teeth is outstanding and im very happy with the work she has done Thank You x

Fantastic experience: I’m a very nervous patient particularly when I know I need something doing. Can only say with all honesty whilst I cannot say it was a pleasure. My dentist not only revised his treatment plan whilst I was there due to his expertise and how things looked on examination. But he also carried out the treatment speedily all the whilst offering reassurance. His assistant was also really reassuring at one point believe it or not I was laughing. The treatment couldn’t have been more perfect for me no pain, during or afterwards and at all times treatment options were discussed with me.As near as perfect as a trip to the dentist can be.

Fantastic experience: Hugh Garvey is an absolute marvel! A brilliant dentist and a thoroughly good chap. I've had a few fillings recently and on every occasion Hugh has been fantastic in every way. His attention to detail is clear and not only is he very good at what he does he gives the impression he enjoys it too which makes the visit to the dentist surprisingly pleasant! After a few bad experiences with previous dentists I have been tempted to move in the past but since Hugh has started I've been so impressed with his skill and professionalism that I'll firmly stay put and recommend him to anyone that is thinking to switch to this dentist!

Fantastic experience: Dr Ian Fisher at Smile clinic is absolutely brilliant. He has been looking after my whole families' oral health in the last 8 years. All of us are very happy with Ian. He is extremely professional, always given the best and cheapest solution as well as other latest available methods for our teeth issues. He is also very caring and friendly. Every visit feels like visiting a friend. Although you may find it difficult to get an appointment to see him but I would still highly recommend him to everyone who needs a good dentist.

Fantastic experience: Thank you to the team at Smile Manchester - Sale for the service they provided for me at my recent visit to the practice. I had a number of teeth which required composite fillings over two visits to the surgery. I am really pleased with both the look and feel of the fillings...a very worthwhile investment!
Fantastic experience: Always very nervous when attending my dentist Ian does his best to make it as painless as possible having quite alot of treatment so hoping Ian is prepared for a very nervous patient he has been put me at ease so far so finger's crossed just had a tooth extraction Ian was brilliant gave me freeze spray which worked wonders never felt a thing so pleased with what Ian does for me I can smile again!!!!

Fantastic experience: Best dentists around Naadhirah Dudha is a legend always there to help support you, explains things very well before carrying out the procedure, the nurses are also great, always have a good chat before teeatment very friendly people. The reception staff are absolutely fantastic always, one in particular Maria she has been there for a while, she always recognises me and checks me in without queuing and sorts out appointments around my work and kids, it's always appreciated. There are some new reception staff who are learning and not so confident yet, but they have a great team training them they will get there! Thanks team!

Fantastic experience: Joined this practice 18 months ago as an NHS patient and really pleased with it. The new dentist Hugh is a real asset. He’s very kind and doesn’t make a big deal about how bad my teeth are - I’ve spent years feeling ashamed about my teeth. The staff on reception are great too.

Fantastic experience: Wanted to say big thank you to Shane, I had a panic attack over an ulcer identified at another appointment and he saw me as soon as he was back from break, to put my mind at ease, that it was nothing serious, thank you, it really meant a lot. Fantastic experience: Been a NHS patient for a couple of years, never really had any issues but just standard busy practice. Went yesterday as we were told we had a new dentist as the last one left. New dentist Hugh is possibly one of the best dentists we have seen. He put my son really to ease (he's due to have extractions for a brace fitting). I could immediately tell son was happy with the way the appointment went and how the dentist and dental nurse treated us both. As soon as we left he commented that he liked the new dentist. There was no pressure to change to private and he was just generally really nice and informative. Doesn't sound like much but it made a massive difference to previous appointments with our last dentist.

Positive experience: Dentist and hygienist are great, however one of the receptionist staff was unfriendly and had a bad attitude. They forgot to tick me in so I was left waiting over an hour and it was the dentist who apologised to me, not the person who forgot to mark me in. Unfriendly, unsmiling and seemed slightly irritated when I was asking about how much the treatments were. Training needed.

Negative experience: Sadly whilst the dental staff are professional, this surgery is let down by unfriendly reception staff. I have personally attended this dentist for check ups but another local dentist for whitening, cosmetic treatment and to see the hygienist, just to minimise my intersection with this reception team. I think the need customer service training.
Positive experience: My dentist is excellent he explains everything I ask him and is very personable.I am disabled and he really understands that I have to use a wheelchair . I would have given a 5 star rating BUT as you enter the surgery there is a staff door which is a fire door and everytime anyone goes through it it bangs very loudly needs sorting.

Fantastic experience: Been with the practice for many years had problems with the new dentist I was assigned however after a very long winded discussion I was transfered to Shane a new dentist who is absolutely amazing. I have a special needs child who he dealt with very friendly yet professional and was understanding of his needs. I am a nervous patient and he put me at ease straight away. Overall Shane was professional, gave me some great advice and made the whole experience which is normally super stressful an enjoyable calm experience. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Great local dentist. Staff are always very helpful even though they seem incredibly busy. The booking and filling in the required forms for the appointment seems to work well, and if more people did this before their appointment, it would save the staff and other customers waiting time. I appreciate that not all customers have the know-how or devices to do this, though. I have been lucky to have such a great dental hygienist who explains everything and is reassuring.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Kept my elderly sick mother waiting about an hour and a half in the crowded waiting room. Only wanted to request community dental as she is so unwell. I visited a couple of weeks before the appointment to inform them how ill she is and request community dental. Also e mailed the day before so we certainly weren't expecting such poor treatment.
Fantastic experience: I have been with the practice for over 40 years and the service I receive is superb. I had a check up yesterday with Naadhirah Dudha and she is the most personable Dentist you could ever wish to meet. She took time to go through xrays of my teeth, explaining where there was a problem and giving me options of what can be done to resolve it. I would highly recommend the Practice, but especially Naadhirah, she is a real asset to the Practice. I have just read a review below which said you can only get quick appointments if you pay privately, that is not true, I had to cancel my appointment and I got one for the following day and I am on the NHS. Update on the above Review - I have had a few appointments since this review and I have continued to receive an excellent service. I highly recommend this Dental Practice.

Fantastic experience: I've been at this practice for more years than I can count, having been looked after by Sabeer (a fabulous dentist & great with nervous patients like me). Since the practice has been taken over by Smile, there have been some ups and downs (including Sabeer going solely private :-( ) and I've seen different NQ dentists for the last couple of years for regular checkups, all have been fine but no continuity which is important when you've got someone doing a job as important as dentistry. I always see Lisa (hygienist) who is amazing, very kind and gentle and super thorough. The much-needed building works from around the middle of the pandemic are finally complete and the modern surroundings and new tech is finally a great improvement. Reception seems a bit cramped though but that's just a small observation & doesn't impact service; I hope they retain reception staff as there seems to have been a regular turnover in these aswell. I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Mr Davey (new dentist) last week and he was so fantastic; his approach, calm and friendly with brilliant sense of humour - just great for nervous patients like me - Smile Manchester - please keep this one because he's such a credit to your practice and I hope he remains my dentist (my 'new Sabeer'!) for a long time to come.

Fantastic experience: Dr Ian Fisher is a gem of a person. Always down to the earth.. never in a hurry…accommodates if acute and urgent.. very kind..and competent. Admin wise, emails are promptly looked at responded immediately.. thanks reception staff.
Negative experience: After the filling my tooth is still sensitive, I was disappointed to not be offered a choice of material for the filling. Apart from that they are pretty aggressive with making sure you fill out the same forms over and over again, purely to see if you consent to their marketing efforts.
Positive experience: Quick & efficient, in before my appointment time, prompt check in & good check up by the appointed Dentist. Unfortunately an "error" at reception on checking out meant I was given the wrong date for my next appointment that should have been for 6 months but the date given was for 3 months. This meant another phone contact had to be made to rectify this "error".
Fantastic experience: Reception staff are happy and friendly and are always very helpful when needed. My dentist and dental nurse are also very friendly and make you feel at ease, explaining each step and clearly explain all treatments required.

Negative experience: I’ve been with this dentist since my son was 4 his regular dentist is amazing and I cannot fault him, he always made my son feel comfortable, tonight my appointment was at 450 the traffic was extremely bad and I unfortunately arrived at 5 I then had to wait whilst the reception team booked other people in for a further 3/4 mins, I was then told by a receptionist whom I could only describe as a young girl with a massive chip on her shoulder and a face like a smacked arse, that because I was 13/14 mins late I had to reschedule as it was over half way through an appointment, I did apologise and state the traffic was horrid and that I was here at 5, “so, you are 10 minutes late then” with an eye roll, “company policy after 5 mins you need to re-schedule the next one for the same time is in September 2025” let’s just say I left it their, this policy needs to be looked at and maybe some staff training. Extremely disappointed

It is the practice policy that if a patient arrives more than 50% into their scheduled appointment, they will need to be reappointed. This policy is in place to ensure that our clinics run on time, allowing us to provide the best possible service to all our patients.
We make every effort to communicate this policy to patients, including detailing it in the Terms and Conditions within our patient portal forms.
We are aware that roadworks in the area, combined with the increased traffic during the Christmas season, may be causing delays. I will discuss this with the reception team to ensure we are communicating effectively

Fantastic experience: My appointment was made to suit my availability and was on time . Mr. Fischer resolved my fillings issues expediently, professionally and at the same time allayed any concerns I had. Great service.
Fantastic experience: I had to have my root canal done again after 20 years and the dentist was great. No problem at all. He removed the remaining nerves, cleaned everything out. Great dentists and experience here. Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: The dentists here are fantastic and I would recommend people to come here. My dentist booked me in for a filling as there was a small hole in one tooth, she explained that it was not essential to have a filling but recommended to have and stop any further damage. The filling was done without anesthetic as it was on the surface of the tooth and I did not feel any pain and the filling is unnoticeable. The front desk staff are also great, they are friendly and respectful. All staff here are friendly and welcoming, wait times are not long. Overall a great experience.

Positive experience: Going to the dentist isn’t up there for a great experience but it was certainly not unpleasant. It’s just a check-up and the dentist was efficient and personable.
Negative experience: I wish I could give a more favourable overall review.. No issue with dentist/hygenists. They're great. However, my appt on 21st didn't happen, due to a complete technical meltdown. I was reassured that I wouldn't be marked as a no-show, but that is exactly what's happened, despite receptionist taking my number and promised to call and rebook. Heard nothing, including no apology. This practice needs better management. Improvements with patients at reception. One in particular that can't crack a smile and rolled her eyes at me last week when I asked for reassurance I wouldn't be a no-show and now look!! Cancellation of appointments, unpleasant language they use in communications with patients, assuming we'll all not turn up etc. Seems all to accusatory. Check in process is flawed/requires duplication of forms. Screen in reception rarely working and stand waiting, while some re eption staff ignore you. Really want to see MAJOR improvements, otherwise I'm looking for a more professional and friendly practice. Not what nervous patients need to experience. I'm not alone in comments made by friends and family too "gone downhill" and lucky if the same dental staff are there between visits.

Fantastic experience: My dentist is extremely efficient, I feel safe with him, he gives me confidence. He talks to me not at me, at my appointment last week I was dreading the procedure. I was totally relaxed, I didn’t feel the injection at all, the dentist was gentle and confident. I feel involved in the care of my teeth.
Negative experience: I had visited the dentist for my daughter’s treatment, which required a specialist referral. While the doctor kindly agreed to refer us, the front office staff failed to understand our request for a referral letter. Despite repeated visits, they neither prepared the letter nor cooperated with us, only justifying how busy they and the doctors were. This simple referral letter to a private clinic specialized in my daughter’s ailment became a frustrating ordeal, causing delays and reflecting poorly on the clinic.
Fantastic experience: I was always nervous to go to dentist. Since I join Smile Dental care at Sale washway , I'm looking forward to it... Reception is very friendly . Fantastic experience: Relatively new to this dentist. Had a check up with Shane a new dentist, he was absolutely brilliant, explained everything, very thorough, very kind and gave me some really good advice. All the people in the practice are very nice. Great dentist.
Fantastic experience: I cannot praise this Practice highly enough. The receptionists are friendly and welcoming. The Dentist listens to and advises on any fears that one may have. I saw a new Hygenist at my last appointment who talked me through what she was doing. An excellent experience throughout.

Fantastic experience: I find coming to Smile Manchester a trouble free appointment. From the receptionists to the Dentist. Everything is explained as we go along on each Appointment. And i wouldn't Hesitate Recommending them to family and friends.
Negative experience: Asked for an advice on teeth guards due to teeth grinding during sleep. Have to book an appoinment cost £26.8. just to get few mins advices from dentist on this.Before the appoinment, I have called and email Smile about just wanting advice on this issue rather than routine check up. As I just had the check up 6 months ago, no issue with my teeth. Really dont understand why I have paid £26.80 for few mintues advices on mouth guard. Could have just let me know on the phone or by email about this basic cost information. Dont think I will come back.

Negative experience: This place has deteriorated so much. Cancelled appointments, dentists leaving. Issues with phones ongoing. Husband taken off list with no notice now can't be seen. Son started treatment then multiple cancellations now he is owed 170.00 by practice. Whole family have been patients for years

Positive experience: Excellent and welcoming back office staff. Considering the company is called smile, their front office staff should be more friendly and put on a smile and not be so unwelcoming
Negative experience: This place used to be excellent when it was K S dental, but now it turned out to be purely commercial.Every business wants to make money (nothing wrong in It but not in this way)It will be hard to get an appointment but there are appointments available for private patients as they are charged 50+ while NHS patients or children you need to wait for weeks. Moreover, felt the team is eager to upsell while Nayar and team never tried to recommend anything to that is not necessary.Unfortunately there are no open registrations available any of other dental practices near by and will be moving as soon as we get one.

Negative experience: Most of the staff are young with NO experience. I had an appointment few days ago and the young dentist tried to just clean my teeth and was the worst time ever. She almost made all my gums around every single tooth bleeding because she was hitting the gum very badly all the time. I was very nervous and angry but kept quite and patient. It made me very worried about getting viral infections such as Hepatitis B and C. I belive that should not happen with some one experience and they need to employ experience people and training thier staff before deal with patients. Really disappointed

Fantastic experience: To Dr J stones, Jess, Maria, and all the other secretaries thankyou for always being so kind and helpful. A very good dental surgery; every experience I've had has been outstanding. You are all appreciated very much.
Positive experience: Good service. Had both a filling and a Hygienist appointment. Both brought forward by the reception staff as earlier slots became available. A well run area of the practice. In the interest of fairness on a review the only negative I have is that I was asked to pay a 50% (£31) deposit for my next Hygienist appointment that is scheduled for 6 months time. It may be in the t’s and c’s but it is wrong to request this. I declined.
Fantastic experience: Dr Sabeer performed my RCT and did a really good job. I was very comfortable all the way through and he answered all of my questions. It was a seamless experience and I'm really happy that I got my RCT done here. I would recommend to anyone!
Fantastic experience: This practice gives complete confidence to the patient throughout it's dealings, from the desk to the treatment room. I have always found the explanations given of what is recommended clear and concise.
