Fantastic experience: I was referred to Edinburgh Dental as I required a wisdom tooth removed and the procedure was complicated by the roots of the tooth. Reem Ali was such a calming, reassuring professional. Even as someone who has no fear of dentists, having a tooth removed is an undertaking. Reem explained all aspects of what would happen, and both initial consultation and extraction appointment were relaxed and dare I say, enjoyable. After care is second to none. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Evertime I have had an appointment I have had to wait for an excessive amount of time. For my most recent appointment, I waited an hour. Additionally, I had a hygienist appointment where the tool slipped, and she ended up severely hurting my teeth and gums, causing them to bleed.

Fantastic experience: I had a wisdom tooth removed here. Kelsey was calm, professional and explained the procedure clearly making what could have been an unpleasant experience straightforward and not at all traumatic.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend Dr Reem Ali and Edinburgh Dental enough. I’d had a dental implant fitted abroad and the crown had come loose. I was anxious that the implant had failed or that the crown wasn’t fixable. Edinburgh Dental were able to see me almost immediately once I noticed the problem, even though I was a new patient to the practice. Reem really put me at ease when I went to the appointment and both her and the team went to great efforts to fix the crown, which is now all sorted. Reem was warm and friendly, and I felt like I was in good hands the whole time. I was really pleased with the outcome of my treatment and I’d happily recommend the practice to anyone looking for a good dentist.

Fantastic experience: I needed to have a split tooth removed and wanted an implant to replace it. From the initial tooth extraction to implant placement and the follow-up 6 weeks review, everything went perfectly. Dr Ferhan and Dr Ali were brilliant and make sure you feel comfortable at all times and at no time was there ANY pain or discomfort felt during or after all procedures. Kasia was also great at making me feel at ease and doing the scans etc, in fact all the staff are lovely. Very professional and a nice calm atmosphere.I'm glad I went here for my extraction and implant.

Fantastic experience: I was scheduled for a removal of a broken wisdom tooth. I have curved roots on my teeth which makes extraction difficult. Kelsey removed the tooth in one piece in around 30 minutes. There was no pain even when stitches were being inserted. A very professional bit of dental surgery. I would recommend Kelsey and her team

Fantastic experience: I am very happy and impressed! Bone graft, serious operation: opening up the gum, cleaning a bone cavity (missing tooth), putting in membranes snd graft, closing with stitches. All explained well and in advance with x-ray images and 3D rendering, i.e., state-of-the-art technology. No post-operatory pain at all, truly incredible, thanks to an aggressive course of pain killer and antibiotics. Worked a treat. Fantastic experience: My experience at this dental practice was excellent! The staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. The waiting area was clean and comfortable and I was seen on time which meant there wasn't much waiting! I needed a tooth extraction and had concerns about potential bleeding due to medication I take. Kelsey put my mind at rest by fully explaining the procedure and precautions that would be taken. The tooth extraction was painless and went very well with minimal bleeding. I would highly recommend Kelsey and the team at this practice without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to E.D.C. for the extraction of a painful, impacted wisdom tooth. In the circumstances, it was a good experience. Reem Ali explained the procedure in a professional and reassuring manner, and extracted the problem tooth (which was not straightforward) without fuss. Fantastic experience: I recently had a Wisdom tooth removed by Reem at Edinburgh Dental, the whole process from the initial consultation to the extraction was seamless and overall everything went as well as it could have. Reem was very friendly (as well as all the other staff) and explained everything thoroughly during the consultation and before the procedure. She was always very reassuring throughout which put me at ease. The extraction went very smoothly and I went home equipped with a complimentary aftercare bag with everything I needed to recover from the procedure. Although I have only been to this clinic once for this procedure, from my recent experience I would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: After thorough research (very nervous patient) and a visit to see around the premises, decided to join (hubby joined too!). Have had one visit with hygienist and dentist. Special shout outs to Sidney (practice manager), Emma (hygienist) and Subhan (dentist) and EMS Airflow! So much to praise and rave about-: *Sidney's telephone manner is very calming. Warm, welcoming approach in person taking time to explain everything about what to expect. *Observed relaxed staff who acknowledged us with a smile. (A sign of a happy workforce + environment) *Emma (a star) taking time to explain the process, regularly checking I was ok, explaining best dental hygiene practice, really focused care and attention. Answering questions and writing notes for me. A shining example of a person who loves their job! *Subhan made me fell relaxed and calm. Again explaining each step and answering questions and not pushing any unnecessary work on me. *EMS Airflow simply a game changer for me. A painless alternative to traditional scale and polish that is kinder to the teeth and great for sensitive gums and nervous patients! Thanks Edinburgh Dental for investing in this! I came away after 2 hours feeling a sense of achievement, keen to look after my teeth, and excited for my visit next week with Emma to continue the "deep clean"! Tanya has taken over from where Emma left of as the practice hygienist. She is very good. She has a very calming manner and is patient and gentle with a nervous client. She takes pride in her work. Even when I had lapsed with my dental care she reassured and encouraged me to get back into my previous routine. I would thoroughly recommend her. Review Update Since Tanya started at the practice as a hygienist I have been well looked after and have been investing time and pride in my dental hygiene so much so that I am feeling more comfortable and enjoying my visits and hearing the progress I've made. Also special shout out to Sophie, she is a diamond. So professional, patient and welcoming always going the extra mile to sort out appointments for my husband and I to come together. Sophie's front of house customer service skills are five star. Thank you for the best care

Negative experience: My Name is Paula; I needed a front teeth bridge ( 5 false teeth ) that was previously attached onto 2 implants to be re-attached as it fell off. I first saw Dr. Ferhan Ahmed 19/05/23 who reassured me he would source the screws and that was all that was needed to resolve the matter. I work day/ night shifts with the public and anyways on day to day you can imagine how vital front teeth is. For anyone's confidence, self esteem etc A month later I contacted them to find out what was going on because I never heard back An appointment was made I saw Dr. Ahmed again who re-attached the bridge with the right screws he said. A few days later it fell off again. Dr. Ahmed put me to see Dr. Reem Ali. Another appointment was made Dr.Ali advised me to have a root out to avoid further problems in the future with the implants. I agreed hoping this would finally result in the bridge being re- attached permanently. Dr. Ali damaged the bridge leaving a gap in the front and damaged to the rear. Both dentists laughed at me often. I mentioned the damage to Dr. Ahmed who told Dr.Ali to repair it. Her repair fell off a few days later but Dr. Ali who often showed to be annoyed at my presense was rude unhelpful and charged me to fix the bridge she herself damaged. Every time she re-attached the bridge 2 -3 days later it would fall off again and I was back and forth many a times and she wanted to charge me for every time she re- attached it. I was tired often coming to appointments from night shifts and overworked. I put a formal complaint to the practice manager . I saw Dr.Ferhan Ahmed on the 18/08/23 still my front teeth bridge hadn't been re-attached properly and Dr. Ali repair to the bridge had fallen off . Dr. Ahmed told me I needed a new bridge . I told Dr. Ahmed I was to look into legal action. He re-attached the bridge again, escorted me out of his consulting room and out of the front door of the clinic. My front teeth bridge fell off again. They told me I would need a new bridge which would cost me a lot after they damaged my bridge and never reattached it either. Took my hard worked money by deception. TOTAL PAID : £640. I would like a full refund and an apology. They never refunded me and have a history of misleading giving false advice prejudice and abusive behaviour specifically for females scroll down there are others like myself those are crooks to be avoided

Fantastic experience: I’ve previously had bad experiences with dental offices in Edinburgh, so I was anxious going into my first appointment at a new office. Edinburgh Dental is my new gold star for dental treatment. I was reassured time and again that their staff are well-equipped for caring for anxious patients, and the hygienist Tanya fulfilled those promises perfectly. She explained what would happen during the appointment, paused frequently during cleaning to check on me, and answered all my questions kindly. I will definitely be returning

Fantastic experience: It has now been about just over 20 months since I lst stepped through the doors of edinburgh dental clinic. My lst thoughts were what a lovely clinic spotless and from reception through to meeting Dr Ahmed and Kasia for the lst time was absolutely brilliant. After a few consultations with Dr Ahmad he informed me because of the condition of my bone structure he was hopefully that he could help me but said there was no guarantees. I said I was 110 percent that I wanted to go through with the implants and I would be taking his skills to the limit. Well I now have my 4 implants and everyday I wake up with the biggest smile possible. I can now go on holidays have a nice meal go up on the Karaoke and blast out a song without the fear of my denture falling out. I can not thank Dr Ahmad Kasia Kevin and the rest of the team for the brilliant work they do for people like me and for the caring professional duties that each and everyone of them do is second to none xx All my gratitude George

Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom tooth extracted by Reem, and the experience was far easier and more comfortable than I ever thought possible. I’ve always been anxious about going to the dentist—I really don’t like it, and I know I’m not alone. But this was genuinely painless and stress-free. The whole procedure took just a couple of minutes and felt like a complete non-event. Reem communicated everything clearly, including what I needed to do during recovery. She’s truly a blackbelt when it comes to extractions. Don’t try to save a few pounds by going elsewhere, and don’t wait until it gets worse. Getting it sorted here couldn’t be easier.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Reem after two unsuccessful attempts at removing a stubborn back tooth. Reem was very professional and reassuring, I was understandably nervous after the previous work had caused my face to blow up. But her professional skills won through and without muck fuss the offending tooth was out! What a relief! I won't go into detail but the work Reem did brought the swelling down quickly, and the pain was over the next day. Thank you Reem for all your help.

Fantastic experience: Following a consultation with Dr Ferhan Ahmed at Edinburgh Dental to discuss the possibility of having dental implants, I decided to go ahead with upper jaw implants and a single implant supported crown in the lower jaw. Options were fully discussed and no pressure placed on me to decide right away, in fact, I was given all information in writing and encouraged to take time to consider the options. I am in my eighties and wondered if I was too old to be considering dental implants but, as I keep in good health, I was given assurance that this treatment was suitable for me. The care and kindness shown to me by both Dr Ahmed and the lovely Kasia throughout my treatment was exemplary. They made me feel relaxed and explained everything they were doing step by step. They are true professionals and I am happy with my new smile! No need for anyone to feel anxious about visiting Edinburgh Dental, the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Fantastic experience: I was referred to Edinburgh Dental by my dentist to get a deeply impacted painful, decaying wisdom tooth removed. I have a fear of dentists so was very nervous arriving for initial consultation. Kelsey and the dental nurse quickly put me at ease, explaining everything in detail and we decided together that sedation would be my best option. The operation itself went well and I was looked after from start to finish with so much care. I knew I would be in safe hands from moment I met them. Fantastic experience: Kelsey saw me at short notice for a surgery to fix a problem caused by another dentist. Service was superb, very competent, kind, clearly explained everything and gave excellent aftercare advice. She was supported by Natalie who was the most calming, reassuring presence, extremely good at looking after me during and immediately after my operation.

Fantastic experience: Was referred to this practice after 2 crowns failed. Required two extractions and then underwent two implants. This was carried out by Dr Ferhan Ahmed and Kezia. Was slightly concerned about getting implants but things went better than expected and happy with the way they conducted the procedure and the outcome achieved.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing!!. Dr Ferhan Ahmed is an excellent clinician and has a great team right from the friendly receptionists, reassuring nurses and awesome specialists who make the dental experience excellent. My 12 year old son felt at ease immediately after the friendly chat and recovered with no pain or discomfort after his surgery. Great place and would highly recommend them to everyone.

Fantastic experience: For the past two months I've been in pain with a broken molar and my local dentist tried twice to extract it to no avail, leaving me on antibiotics and more pain. I decided to go private and immediately got an appointment at Edinburgh Dental with Reem, for a consultation. She assured me she could extract the tooth painlessly and she was true to her word. I made an appointment for the following Monday and was shown into the surgery precisely on time. To cut a long story short I was out 25 minutes later with the tooth out and no pain. Reem is amazing and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her for any extraction. Thank you very much Reem

Fantastic experience: I had two wisdom teeth removed by Dr Reem at Edinburgh Dental. I received a quick appointment and a thorough pre assessment followed by a quick surgical appointment. I had tricky wisdom teeth to remove and was very impressed by the professionalism and kindness of the team both during the extraction and in subsequent reviews. The receptionist team were very easy to access and provided appropriate support. Tanya explained exactly what she was doing at each stage of the process , was extremely gentle and reassured me that at any point I felt sensitivity I could ask her to stop , which put me at ease as I’m a nervous patient. Negative experience: Firstly, I would like to add that my initial impression of the clinic as well as the staff was grand. People were welcoming, accommodating and friendly. I was referred to this practice from my GP, as I had an infected and a broken molar that required an extraction. The examination of my mouth and the conclusion of what issues I have with my oral health shocked me. They said that they will need to make 2 extractions? One for the problematic tooth and one behind it, when I had consulted my GP, as well as other dentists, they confirmed that an extraction of the hind tooth was absolutely unnecessary, as it is healthy! In addition, the dentist mentioned that they must access my sinuses, which was utterly ridiculous, my GP, as well as other dentists said that is absolutely needless! After a thoroughly futile examination, the specialist was more than happy to hand me an invoice of how much it would cost - £1900...yeah, for an extraction! I will be having my one bad tooth removed in less than a week and it took 15 mins for a different and a competent dentist to evaluate my condition and provide a brief quick diagnosis. Simply an infected broken tooth. If you are looking for a chit chat, I greatly recommend this place, for a proper dental treatment, not so much.

Fantastic experience: iv had an amazing experience at Edinburgh Dental from start to finish. had a consultation with Dr Duncan Weir to discuss my options for a full top set of teeth. I thought when I originally went I would be discussing the possibility of dentures thinking implants would be out of my reach financially. However after a full consultation discussing everything and making sure I understood I was delighted that implants weren't as far out my financial reach as I first thought. Then my journey started with Duncan, ferhan and Kashia iv never felt so relaxed throughout the surgery, all the follow-ups and then celebrating together with Ferhan and Kashia when my final set of implants where put in. It had been life changing giving me the best smile and confidence that I haven't had in years. The whole process was totally painless and the dentist was reassuring from start to finish. Surroundings were very pleasant. The dental nurse deserves a special mention because she was very kind and several times asked if I was ok. The dentist and the nurse worked well together making me feel relaxed and in safe hands. All round excellent set up.

But I must say still not my favourite places to go , but the Edinburgh Dental made my trip today not the nightmare I usually have and made me more determined to have the rest of my teeth sorted

My dentist Subhan and my dental nurse were so kind and made me feel very relaxed. Fantastic experience: So I very recently went to this clinic for a double wisdom tooth extraction. One of which was more complex and required more of a specialist approach. Safe to say, I was pretty anxious going into this appointment. Despite being nervous, my first interaction with the super friendly reception staff instantly put me more at ease. Dr Reem Ali, the dental surgeon who treated me, had the most calming demeanor about her. She talked me through everything to keep me as relaxed as I could be and was fantastic at getting me to continue with breathing exercises when she could see my shoulders had tensed up during the treatment. Her and the dental nurse who assisted were both just great and did such a good job making this a smooth and successful treatment. Thank you Edinburgh Dental team for making something as nerve wracking as this, as great as an experience possible and for fixing my issues!

Fantastic experience: I recently had a wisdom tooth removed by Reem. I was greeted with warmth and professionalism on my consultation, procedure and check up. During the consultation the x-rays, scans and planned work were explained in detail. On the day of the extraction Reem and her team made feel relaxed and comfortable every step of the way even playing a playlist of music of my choice during the procedure. I hadn't been able to chew on that side for years, but now that's in the past! I am so pleased that I have full use of both sides again. It really feels great! Fantastic experience: Reem is an absolute brilliant dentist and her gentle and caring manner was most needed when I've had 3 wisdom teeth extracted by her. All expertly executed with little to no discomfort. The latest wisdom tooth was a particular challenge due to it's position, however i had no hesitation in believing in Reems ability and was happy to go ahead. Fantastic experience: I was treated by Dr Reem Ali for the extraction of 3 wisdom teeth 2 weeks ago and cannot recommend her and Edinburgh Dental enough. From the consultation to the end of the procedure Reem was kind and friendly and made me feel at ease. The procedure itself was quick, straightforward and I received really clear aftercare guidance from Reem. I had no bruising and only minimal swelling, no pain and I have healed so well considering I had 3 wisdom teeth removed. I received antibiotics and painkillers to take after the procedure and have had no issues at all since the extraction. Such a positive experience and glad I now won't have the regular infections from impacted wisdom teeth!

Fantastic experience: Another great experience at Edinburgh Dental with Duncan. The appointment was just a checkup but as usual thorough and professional. On arrival the receptionist told me Duncan was running about 15 mins behind schedule, offered to reschedule, to later in the day, or another day and also suggested a coffee shop directly opposite and she’d call me back over. I choose to wait and just checked emails etc. They upgraded the waiting area so all good. Exactly as described, within a short time I was in the chair! Because they give you the proper attention you actually need they may over run sometimes but it was well handled. Professional, efficient and always a really pleasant experience. How often can you say that about a visit to the Dentist!!
