Alchemy Dental Practice

Fantastic experience: I’m new to this dental practice and have seen Ms Patel twice so far, first for a check-up, and then to repair some fillings. I can honestly say she’s the most wonderful dentist I’ve ever met. I have a mild fear of going to the dentist, but she immediately put me at ease. She was constantly reassuring, kind, and made me feel completely comfortable throughout. Unlike past experiences where I’ve felt judged or uneasy, this time I left genuinely happy. Ms Patel is not only professional but also incredibly warm and understanding- I’m so glad I found her. Thank you so much!

Negative experience: Really not as good as it seems the carpet is a bit nacky really didn't like the location and parking not a great experience.....I don't recommend personally

Fantastic experience: I think I have the best dentist. Tom, and his lovely dental nurse Steph are fantastic. Had 2 fillings today and they were both brilliant. They put you at ease from the second you walk in, the Louis Tomlinson music helps as well. Thank you both for a great job. If all dentists were like you, people would have amazing teeth as they would not be scared to go to the dentist. Keep up the good work. See you both in August for my checkup.

Fantastic experience: I had a root canal performed by Dr Aziz and was in the chair for 2 and a half hours, but unbelievably, it was the least traumatic dental experience I've ever had!!! Dr Aziz was so reassuring, checking in on me regularly and explaining what he was doing. It seems incredulous to me that I was more traumatised by worrying about having a root canal done, than by actually having it!! Would highly recommend ⭐️

Negative experience: Very poor quality and service - way below any standards. Refusing do simple procedure using excuse that NHS don't cover and offering go privately to do your teeth. Not very helpful.

Fantastic experience: What I have always liked about Alchemy is the level of care and information the dental teams offer. Any good dentist can perform the mechanical duties in serving ones teeth but the team at Alchemy help you understand the end to end process and provide advice to help shape future behaviours and promote behaviour change so invasive treatments can be avoided in the future. I have always engaged with the younger dentists but having seen a number of the team then this is definitely a culture and ethos and not only specific to any one dentist. Facilities are as one can imagine impeccable and information flow good with various texts and emails to remind you of upcoming appointments. I am sadly old enough to remember stigma associated with NHS dentistry but my recnt experience with Alchemy has replaced any of these historic and negative experiential memories.

Fantastic experience: I attended Alchemy today for a tooth extraction for my 7 year old autistic son. As you can imagine this is a very daunting thing for any individual, even more so for children with additional needs. It was quite a worrying situation for myself and I was expecting a tough appointment. Well all I can say is Tom W my son’s dentist was absolutely amazing! Phenomenal in fact, towards my son and me. He explained with plenty of clarity and detail how the process would go and he was extremely calming. My son coped really well and this was a warming experience for myself 10/10

Fantastic experience: As someone who has ADHD and is also terrified of the dentist, (so much so I have been putting up with hideous pain rather than visit one!) it is with great pleasure that I write this review. The moment I arrived ( only just on time and badly parked!) Courtney on reception put me at ease and directed me to a better parking position. All forms had been sent out the day before so I could fill them in without panic and was ready to see Saj, assisted by Caitlin. Everything was taken at my speed and with full consideration for my sensitivity issues. Saj gave me regular breaks and Caitlin ‘checked in’ often, reassuring me that it was going to plan. This meant that although I was hideously nervous, I could cope, a big thing for a neurodivergent! Both showed extreme kindness. Root canal done I saw Tom next who was in charge of creating a perfect denture! Tom also showed kindness and compassion and asked Persia to assist, together I believe they will create a masterpiece! In all, a wonderful experience for a very nervous neurodivergent. I would highly recommend this professional, compassionate and thoughtful dental practice. Many thanks

Fantastic experience: I had a problem from a previous visit . The manager called me in, listened to me, then squeezed me in with sajid Patel. He resolved the main problem and did a repair. Very nice man, didn't rush took a lot of time and I know he'd fitted me in as extra but never rushed. I will now see him from now on and I am very happy how professional he was. ( and his assistant)

Fantastic experience: I joined this practice after my previous surgery where I’d been since it was built in 2009 just stopped seeing NHS patients. The staff turnover wasn’t good as after Covid one after another dentist left and I had four different dentists before they just stopped seeing NHS. I was devastated as l have PTSD and am so anxious especially in new surroundings. A family member told me about this surgery as she works for a housing charity and she’d been impressed by the high level of care and treatment they provided to their clients and was especially impressed by the kindness and compassion that was showed by all the staff. My first appointment I was so shocked. After Covid I’m used to near empty waiting rooms etc but this was a hive of activity, different rooms working, 3/4 receptionists, phone answered promptly. Patients from all walks of life etc and as a former health worker ( I often do this) I like to see how the public are treated. Receptionists Everybody was treated most efficiently with kindness . 10/10 Dentists, Dental Care Professionals and Dental Nurses 10/10 Immediately put at ease. Introduced themselves and patiently went through what treatment was needed. Went back for treatment, again put at ease and so gentle with me. No pain! Have been now on 3 or 4 occasions and the care is just outstanding! The place is spotlessly clean. The only negative is parking. My only regret is I hadn’t found them sooner. Coincidentally NHS England this week have announced that millions more appointments to be offered and I’ve received a text from previous surgery to arrange an appointment. No thanks, I’m stopping with Alchemy.Stoke. Updated 26/04/24 Excellent reception response yet again when I rung for an appointment. I was successful in arranging the same appointment time as my brother which makes it easier for me to share a lift. They go out of their way to accommodate patients.

Fantastic experience: A very well done and a huge thank you to Tayba for getting rid of my fluorosis spots, which I had been living with for the past 30 years. I didnt realise there was such a treatment available until Tayba told me about it and im so glad I got it done. I would highly recommend it. Excellent service, Excellent results and one happy patient also thank you to Ruby who was assisting her on the day . All the staff seemed very nice,friendly and welcoming. Fantastic experience: Was confused as the tooth with sensitivity was not the one the dentist said had a cavity. She took the time to explain why this may be and I accepted this and had the filling done. I was very anxious about the needle. It was painful but she counted me down and kept me relaxed. I had the tooth filled and now have no sensitivity. Very professional despite my resistance and many questions. Very good service and best money I’ve spent. Thank you for being patient.

Fantastic experience: Just had two fillings done and right next to the nerve so was really anxious. The guys who did were really supportive and evidently diligent. I could tell they made an effort to give tooth best chance with antibiotic behind a filling and filing down to make smooth. I've had previous dentists who let a ridge so really noticed the difference. Thank you.
