Negative experience: Been a patient here for many years. Always the most professional of services in a well maintained and thoughtful practice. David and Suzanne are both thorough, friendly, informative and make you feel at ease, even in these unprecedented times. Edited July 2025, now this practice has been brought out it is honestly the worst experience. Can never get through on the phones, dentists constantly changing, has really gone down hill and am now looking to change, wouldn’t recommended!

Fantastic experience: Staff are lovely, very clean and tidy. Good dental practice. Only downside is sometimes you have to wait a while past your appointment time which is frustrating.

Negative experience: Been a customer for years, but ever since the change to Private, trying to ring up is an absolute waste of time. Terrible that I cannot ring to move my appointment for convenience of the Dentist. Awful. Just like 99% of businesses nowadays. 0 lotalty or care. Just after the money.

Positive experience: Disappointing today as the dentist didn’t have a nurse available and couldn’t give any treatment only checkups. Looking in the other rooms it appears there is only one dental nurse shared between all the rooms. So I went home without having a filling. Money saving?

Negative experience: Unfortunately I will not be returning after many years of using this dentist,even before they moved to the building they are currently in. After having a filling fall out twice then to be told the tooth should had really been crowned or removed bye there dental nurse because I couldn't see my dentist for three weeks, I've had to go elsewhere, to be told the work that I have had done is terrible, ie a filling that fell out on a different tooth has only been filled with a temporary filling, 6 months ago ??? But I was not in formed it was temporary, and now needs to be done properly, also the fact that you have to pay the bill before you even see a dentist if indeed you are seeing a dentist?? Is terrible they get paid even if they do a terrible job before doing the job ??, the phone system is a joke takes ages to get through ,even when your 1st in the queue?? I don't blame the receptionists as they clearly on the front line and trying to do there best ,but this is another example of a well family run dentist being bought out bye a big investment company and totally ruined, its a real shame,

Fantastic experience: I just went to see a hygienist named bilal new to South Cliff I believe today and the experience was excellent. I felt very relaxed. He asked me if everything was ok and had good conversation before he started the work. Will definitely go back to see him. Well done. Credit to South Cliff.

Fantastic experience: I've been at the dentist for a good few years, and certain dentists had given me high anxiety of going each visit to a point I really didn't want to go. But in the time I've been under Anju Raju she has absolutely put me at ease, always talking making me feel comfortable and relaxed.. I seem to be going quite regular because of one thing or another,but she just tells me if I need to make another appointment to do so.

Negative experience: This dentist is a waste of time I tried to talk to their reception to arrange an appointment and was on hold for 30 minutes with no answer they cancel appointments without making new ones and when you try to rearrange the appointment you cant get a response their reception staff are slow at one time I was told that I needed to have a crown removed but when I got a second opinion I had an infection a didnt need the crown removed.Not at all impressed.

Negative experience: I wish I could put 0 stars. I do not recommend this dentist to anyone who wishes to register. I have not even been with them for 6 months, maybe only three. As someone who is scared of the dentist, I do not trust this one at all. The receptionists of this dentist are very unprofessional and they do not care about NHS patients. I do not pay for dental care, the way I was treated proves they only typically care for private patients. I had to cancel a few appointments, Only because I have a two year old who was very sick some of the appointments, Each time I would have a very unprofessional, uncaring and disrespectful women threaten me down the phone about cancelling and removing me off their books. I was appalled by this, as this is not supporting the patient?? This isn't understanding the patient?? Like how they advertised on their website about understanding but there is none. On my last appointment, I had to cancel because I suffered with a sinus infection, Also had a very bad type of flu and I could barely move from bed. I called up to cancel and explained my situation and the lady on the phone still expected me to get out of bed, walk into the dentist very poorly and have treatment. No consideration for my health or how I would feel, or any of the poor patients surrounding me or even the poor dentist doing my teeth. If I came in that day, The dentist would of refused to see me, So I would of came all that way for no reason to rebook once I showed up. The receptionists do not have any understanding, any care or consideration for the patients. Each time I have had contact with them, they have been extremely rude and very appalling behaviour coming from them. They threaten you down the phone and make you feel like you are not human, I think it's because I don't pay for my dental care so they do not care. When i decided, I could not come in with a sinus infection because that is just silly, I decided I wanted to be treated more better and moved to another dentist who would be more understanding, upon calling to tell south cliff dental that I have now decided to move, the receptionist actually went "Bye then" in a sarcastic tone and then hung up, I was beyond shocked. They traumatised my daughter, who is two, upon her appointment, no consideration for a poor two year old. I suffer with anxiety, and have a fear of dentists, I alerted them to this and there was still no support, no understanding. The reception team let this down!! They way they're allowed to speak to you, is very bad. They make you feel very unhuman, because I do not pay for dental care, I feel this is the reason for their nasty behaviour. I do not recommend this dentist to anyone at all. Not to mention, you have to wait about 2 hours to actually get through to the receptionist on the phone, then they hang up and you have to go and wait all over again, so you spend most of your morning and most of your afternoon waiting for receptionists to finish their coffee and their girly chats to answer the phone. They prioritize patients who are paying so it seems and the ones not paying for dental care get treated in a disgraceful manner, where they feel so unwelcome and pushed out so far that they have to move dentists. I do not recommend anyone to come here. I will never ever ever come back here.

Negative experience: Almost impossible to get through on the phone, but amazingly on my 3rd try after waiting 30 minutes I did get through, to be told because my regular private dentist had left and the dentist I wanted had closed his books, my only option was to be allocated a locum dentist. Left me feeling ripped off and wondering what I'd been paying my monthly fee for?

Negative experience: What a shambles this dentist is I was a private patient then I was told they didn’t have a private dentist anymore but they would would put me on a waiting list this never happened then today under NHS waited 40 minutes to see not a dentist but some clinician who wasn’t experienced enough so any problems I would have to wait maybe sometime before he became available and also the receptionist never told me I wasn’t seeing a proper dentist all I can add is read the reviews they are damming

Negative experience: Called to make a routine appointment this morning. Waited in the phone queue over two hours for reception to answer and then lost the will to live. I wouldn’t normally hold so long, but it became a personal endurance test - have I the nerve to keep holding or shall I ring back later and have to start over again in an equally long queue? I don’t blame the receptionists, it’s the fault of the manager not allocating sufficient staff to support service needs. Incidentally, the dentists are very good.

Negative experience: 4 years on now from my 5 star review. Now retracting my positive post. New owners, poor NHS service, minimal check up, 5 mins for not much at all. 4 years ago a check up would involve full examination, scale and polish and advice at least half hour. Lack of dentists on site, some recents not inspiring confidence. Me personally have had failed fillings , ..a huge abscess they refused to administer antibiotics when I was clearly very sick with infection, even asking me while I was there.. to book an appointment and come back ! Some people in waiting room walked out in discust. I ended up in a&e for 12 hours because of this.

Negative experience: My daughter is a full time college student and on the NHS and was charged for her appointment the other day. She is entitled to free dental care but they told her she still had to pay. If she was working alongside this i would of understood but she doesn't. She signed up here because theybaccepted NHS and she can not afford the prices of dental care.

Fantastic experience: I have left a review before but just wanted to say another amazing clean including airflow with the amazing Karun. Seriously I had to be injected 3 times before I even got a scale & polish & now i genuinely look forward to my appointments with Karun. He’s professional & patient doesn’t judge me at all as I do suffer ptsd so can get lazy with oral hygiene but never judges . I went 8 years without any sort of clean and just amazed with the results so any nervous patients take the plunge ur be amazed with the results & the price is so cheap . It gives me back my confidence can not recommend enough . Thank you Karun see u in few months thanks for being amazing! Receptionists lovely too very professional.once again thank you to the best hygenist in East Sussex & that’s very true I’ve gone through at least 20 . Keep doing a great job .from a very customer.

Negative experience: This practise has problems answering the phone . The reception staff need to learn the charges for private treatment as I wasted I think it was about £60+ on a private appointment but at that appointment I learned the treatment was going to cost £1900 not the £600 the receptionist said it started at ! Wasted nearly £100 at this practise and had no treatment !!!! Make sure you find out from a dentist exactly how much treatment will cost !

Fantastic experience: Where do I start on how this practice has declined? Waiting 50 minutes since arrival. 40 minutes since my confirmed appointment. Still waiting in reception. After my initial one star review for poor receptionist issues. I take it back. Finally got to see my new dentist Ali. What a treasure! Fantastic! To top it all. After my excellent experience. My favourite receptionist was on hand afterwards to book my next appointment. What a difference great people make to a business.

Negative experience: Sadly standards have gradually deteriorated since changing from an independent dentist to becoming part of a larger group. It’s difficult to get through on the phone to make an appointment. There’s no modern website booking facilities. On my last visit the rooms I went in looked tatty and dirty. The dentists seem to change over regularly (I’ve seen four different practitioners over the past few years) and none of them have been at the standard of Mr Weller or Cambell. Very disappointing, I would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this dental clinic for over a year now and I would highly recommend Arezo Jodairi Alafkar. I had many positive experiences with her, the work she does is always outstanding and I never had any problems with the teeth she done. I am so pleased with the results as all my teeth are in good condition. I can't recommend her enough as all her work is professional and she always pays attention to all details. Would highly recommend her to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I had two fillings yesterday under the expert care of Anju Raju and her able assistant Erin. As before, I was seen punctually and the procedure itself was conducted both expertly and painlessly. I have experienced no discomfort from either tooth since the moment I left the treatment room. Anju has the knack of being both friendly and extremely professional in her manner and I can highly recommend her in particular and this practice in general.

Negative experience: They used to be an amazing dentist but now feels like it's in shambles. I don't know if they have staffing issues or what. Their dental work is amazing, but the service.. in the last 2 months they have cancelled two appointments. that's fine things happen but what is not fine is then rescheduling a whole 35 days later. that's a long time to wait for pain relief. Calling them right now about a referral to a specialist tooth extracting place. Stated on the phone 3rd in line and a wait of 7 mins. I wish I was exaggerating but 1 HOUR AND 40 MINS. im still here. WHAT IS GOING ON.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended this dentist after asking on social media, and have nothing but praise for this dentist. An appointment was made that was convenient for me, the receptionists have been kind and helpful, parking was not a problem. I saw Birol for my treatment who was kind, professional and let me know what was happening and needed doing all the time. The work he has done on my teeth appears and feels very good and I now feel more confident in visiting the dentist. Thankyou Birol and team. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Best dental surgery I have ever had. The receptionists are always polite, helpful and greet you with a smile. My dentist is Lida, she’s fantastic. Always puts me at ease, explains everything to me carefully, never any pain. She does all my general teeth care, plus she did some cosmetic work on my front teeth. Very impressive and so natural looking. Exceptional job. Recently I met with a new hygienist called Shayan. Shayan was lovely and gave me the best scale and polish. She exchanged lots of tips about keeping my smile nice and white. Because Shayan really made a difference, I will make sure I book in with her next time. Thank you Ruth B

Fantastic experience: Rang up as I needed an emergency appointment, receptionist managed to get me in the same day to see Ayush. He confirmed an infection and an extraction needed. Off to a chemist with a prescription for some antibiotics. He rearranged his diary to get me in the following day which I was very grateful for. Ayush explained everything that he was going to do, tooth removed painlessly and off home. Can’t recommend them enough.

Negative experience: I've been waiting an hour and 20 mins on the phone to cancel an appointment and I'm still only number 4!! No wonder people just don't turn up! Who can afford this time out of their day if working??? Appalling service...I'm glad I'm not a patient here!! I'm doing this for a friend who cannot!!! I'm adding more! After 1 hour and 57 mins, I was cut off!! I have now sent a very angry email. Let's see if they can be bothered to answer!! I've had to cancell the appointment via this email but if it isn't read then they won't have notice will they, and if they think they can charge???....think again Southcliff dental!!! In all my years, I've NEVER met such a poor dental practice!!! Anyone thinking of going here...DON'T!!!! Even the one star is too much for this place!! Negative experience: Very disappointed, and in pain. Phoned today for an urgent appointment because tooth has broken off below gum, and am in pain. Was told I have to wait 4 days for an appointment because my “pain is not bad enough” (!?) according to receptionist, and despite the fact I can’t drink anything that is not the same temperature as my mouth. I’ve been a patient there for over 25 years!

Negative experience: I had a shocking experience today at a practice I have used for years , and my normal dentist is Lida who really is a great dentist , I saw Lida 3 weeks ago 28th November to repair a resin filling in one of my front teeth , she charged me £25 for the repair , I had a pre booked check up booked in for 15th December 2 weeks later , Lida said to keep it and we can check out how the repair is . Came in for the check up last week 15th December all was good with the repair and charged £25 for the check up , unfortunately part of the resin came out last night so called to see if I could get squeezed in with Lida , unfortunately she had no spaces today so had to see another female dentist to do a quick repair , she told me that to have it filled would cost me £70.70 , I questioned why , I had already had treatment 3 weeks ago and a check up last week , she did the filling not the same as Lida had been doing , I found her very obnoxious with attitude and would not listen she was hell bent on scamming me out of £70 , the filling is rough to touch with tongue and tooth feels longer than before . Even the receptionist thought I didn't have to pay as previous visits in the last 3 weeks and would have classed as continuation treatment . I said I will pay the £70 , but not happy at all , when I got home I called up to speak to the practice manager or a senior manager , as not to make a scene in the waiting area ,no one has called me back . Feel very ill treated and scammed , I used to love this practice but today's experience has really affected me , and feel let down with poor service , poor treatment and a poor member of staff .

Fantastic experience: I have just joined this dental practice this year after being without a dentist for several year's and suffering in silence. My new dentist who I have now seen three times already is Arezo Jodairi who is a young, bright, very intelligent, enthused and beautiful professional. She has put me at ease right from the get go and along with her equally gorgeous dental assistant Amelia has made my appointment's to this dental practice a joy to visit and that's really saying something right? Fantastic experience: Initially, I was upset with my first experience with South Cliff Dental Group, as I had gone for a consultation with a Dental Therapist - he told me I needed a replacement of my filling. Despite it giving me no trouble, I agreed. Post op, I obtained a nasty infection that required me to book an emergency apt, consume antibiotics, and then having to slot in with someone completely different for a root-canal. The service I have received, since booking in as emergency, I could not fault the professionalism. Lida has been so attentive, caring, compassionate and patient. She is incredibly intelligent, and is happy to share her knowledge and talk you through the process. I cannot fault her. I was set on leaving to find a new Dentist, but Lida was so accommodating and put the wrongs right, so fast. She’s a true credit to the team, and I am grateful for her service.

Negative experience: Needed a molar extracted, i am a very anxious patient. Explained clearly my financial situation, that i did not have a lot of money to spend. Seen by miss Jiji , started well, refered to hospital for wisdom teeth removal, however, extraction not done, as it turns out she is not qualified to do extractions, only in India. Refered to hygienist, turns out it is the same person, after cleaning my teeth, has now cancelled wisdom teeth removal, and wants to fill them. Really, a dentist that is not qualified, a hygienist that does fillings. I explained i had bipolar, and this was causing a lot of stress. Miss Jiji, then makes appointment to have more fillings. I cancel, and ask to book extraction, she then says i must have fillings, and will charge if i do not attend, i try to book extraction, then am told i have to have a 15 min appointment to discuss my treatment, which they then cancel. I rebook this online via e-mail, which is accepted. However, when i turn up, i am told there is no record of appointment, i send proof that there was, and ask for another appointment, but am ignored. NHS treated as 2nd rate, just scammed out of £70, used as a guinea pig for a trainee to generate revenue at my expense, still left with infected molar.....AVOID

Fantastic experience: South Cliff were very quick to fit me in for an emergency appointment which then required a second appointment for root canal treatment. I am usually petrified of the dentist and have let my teeth get in quite a bad state! However David and the dental nurse were absolutely amazing and they both made me feel at ease. In fact I'm now looking forward to more appointments in the hope i can my teeth in better shape and health again! Thank you so much David!!

Fantastic experience: It was my second appointment after an initial check up to have an extraction. I was madeto feel very comfortable and all was thoroughly explained to ne. The e whole procedure was done extremely professionally and after care was explaned in detail along with instructions and spare gauze. The following day, apart from the gap in my gum, i wouldn't have known i had had a tooth removed. I also received a follow up call to check how i was, fantastic. Fantastic experience: I needed an emergency appointment and after phoning at 1pm, the receptionist said she would see what she could do and phone back. Luckily she had managed to fit me in for 3pm. Went and saw Alistar who explained everything to me, showed pictures and explained entire process. Alistar fixed my problem and got rid of the severe pain I was in. If I didn’t already have a dentist where I actually live, I’d definitely sign up to this dentist. Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: I rarely trust dentists. I have only had three excellent dentists in my lifetime and two bad ones. I had an emergency appointment due to an infection and recieved first class care from Lida, the reasons for my problem were explained and meds prescribed. I was fortunate to get on their books and after a thourough check up a week ago today I had a clean and a filling. Lida has such a reassuring manner and all things are explained. After five years of being without a dentist I again have an excellent one so much so that Lida has referred me on regarding soft tissue issues with my tongue. Superb service, thank you.

Negative experience: Wow - The dental hygienist (Honoria Montague) is absolutely terrible, I can’t believe I spent £65 and was only seen for a maximum of 15 minutes when it should have been 30. The whole thing was soooo rushed and I think she’s actually done more damage than anything els! Didn’t polish my teeth at all and was sooo rough with everything she did! No care about the patient what so ever! Soo disappointed!!!

Negative experience: Just seen the dental hygienist for the first time and it will be my last , considering I paid privately the treatment I received was shocking . I’ve never been treated so rudely at a dentist ever , I was supposed to have a 30 minute appointment , I wasn’t in the chair more than 10 minutes , a very fast pull and scrape around by the most unfriendly dental hygienist I have ever met , a disgrace to her profession. I WILL NEVER SET FOOT BACK IN THAT CHOP SHOP !!

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency appointment with Alastair Mackay (he’s been my family’s dentist for ten years), and unfortunately had to have a tooth extracted. He and his assistant nurse (I’m sorry, I don’t know her name) were so kind, gentle and efficient. It was extremely traumatic but they made me feel safe and secure. He’s been treating my son since he was 2 years old - and I have a kid with zero fear of dentists, because of Alastair. I would highly recommend to any and all looking for a wonderful dentist who knows how to care for his patients, not just clinically, but emotionally, also.

Negative experience: I was registered with this practice previously and I was very happy with them, however this had lapsed. When I called to re register, even though I was 1st in the queue, no one bothered to answer the phone, it took 7 attempts to get through to anyone. The lady I spoke with was very happy to tell me that I wouldn’t be able to make an appointment for 9 months and that I’d have to pay £28, 9 months in advance to register and make the appointment, obviously I didn’t do that. I spoke with a receptionist at one of their other clinics, who was very nice and helpful, shame about the first lady; if she is the public face of your business, I might suggest a little training, on how to speak with potential customers, or bad reviews will be forthcoming.

Fantastic experience: I have been with this Dental practice for many years now. David Campbell is a brilliant dentist, kind, gentle and very informative. His dental assistants are always cheerful and efficient. Suzanne, the hygienist, is fabulous always encouraging and kind and gentle. Marcia the receptionist is efficient, kind, always welcoming with a smile. A wonderful group.

Fantastic experience: The customer service and care of the staff has really improved (particularly reception) and have been excellent during what could have been a very gruelling experience of a large tooth extraction. I hated coming to the dentist and I’m generally a very nervous patient. However over the last 2 years, Alastair has always explained the procedure and the aftercare thoroughly, and his patience has helped to reduce my anxiety. Much appreciated!

Positive experience: Welcoming atmosphere. Clean and tidy waiting room. Service was excellent. Thorough examination carried out. Any queries answered. Would suggest that in future email reminders regarding attendance at upcoming appointments be reduced to 3-5 days not sent weeks in advance.

Fantastic experience: New to the practice and we have had no issues getting nhs appointments so far. I had to have an xray and a wisdom tooth pulled today & was very anxious/nervous. I was out the dentist in less than 25mins, check-in to walking out the door! Couldnt believe it! And yet didnt feel rushed at all. My dentist was so friendly, professional, efficient AND gentle! She answered all my questions and paused when I needed a moment to compose my nerves.. So different to other dentists we have been to in the area in the past. Great experience, and very little discomfort!

Fantastic experience: Stacey and her team are brilliant! I've seen two dentists in a week, due to needing a cracked wisdom tooth removed; both dentists and both nurses were brilliant. Friendly, punctual, explained everything well. The facilities are brilliant; well equipped, modern rooms, bright and immaculately clean and tidy! The reception staff are well prepared, friendly and efficient. Great experience in a stressful time for me.

Fantastic experience: I've only joined this practice in April 2022 . But it's it's 1st dentist I've joined that has gave me reassurance throughout all my appointments. I have a bad fear of dentist but my lady has shown me not all dentist treatment is horrible. She talks threw everything and constantly checks I'm OK threw the appointment

I have to fully recommend my new dentist Lida for making me feel at ease and doing the treatment i require less stressful. for anyone like myself who is Nervous i fully recommend this Dentist. Positive experience: It's a good practice, hygienist is 1st class, it's well organised and efficient, clean and very pleasant. My dentist has changed a couple of times recently and that has been unsettling. Paid for a terrible filling a few months ago which has fallen out, but that's the first time I've experienced anything negative and I've been attending this practice for several years so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. What I can say, categorically, is that it is definitely one of the best NHS dentists in the area, so if you can get on the books, it's definitely worth a try.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this practice. It is nice and modern and run very efficiently. I developed a bit of a dental phobia over the years due to poor experiences with dentists, but Lida is a very good dentist and I no longer dread appointments, due to her ability to put patients at ease.

Fantastic experience: Was feeling a bit nervous about having root canal work. Needend have worried. Totally painless work performed by Margaret! It was almost an enjoyable experience! Was in more pain a few hours later after getting sunburn on my head while cleaning my car! Best dentist ever!

Fantastic experience: Only just signed up with this dental practise in Hastings after waiting 3 years to find one! Was well worth the wait though! This is a very caring dental practise. Lida is my dentist and she talks you through all the treatment options thoroughly and is very patient and kind.

Fantastic experience: I was given a same day emergency appointment even though the surgery was busy. The dentist was warm, commincative and veryporfessional. They gave me a follow-up phone call and then asked me to come back for further attention. Two extractions, two teeth poten tially saved, and antibiotics prescribed. Not bed for £23.80!

Fantastic experience: Circumstances in Eastbourne were such that I needed to travel to St Leonards for an appointment. From start to finish I was made to feel welcome and cannot stress enough the professional approach I found through from the receptionists to my dentist. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this dental practice, had to wait 6 months to see dentist as new nhs patient but this is normal practice. Once seen in check up, highly efficient service and had 3 further appointments for crown/bridge work.... Excellent dental work and really lovely friendly team.

Fantastic experience: I have only been with the practice for a short time, but already would not hesitate in recommending them. I have been treated with respect and consideration by every single person there, from the time I first walked in to the reception. My dentist, Oliver Tomlinson, has taken time to explain things about my treatment, before and during, and has somehow waved a magic wand that has resulted in me actually looking forward to my next appointment! At my last visit he rebuilt a broken molar and carried out a deep gum clean on one side, for which he injected my mouth in four places ... I never felt a single jab. Even more amazing - the next day I had no soreness following the huge filling, this is a first in my life! Thank you to everyone there who has made me feel comfortable and cared for.

Fantastic experience: I would not hesitate in recommending South Cliff dental surgery. My current dentist Lida Jodairi is simply wonderful. I have had to have quite a bit of dental work and Lida has been great each appointment, she is extremely caring, empathetic and professional in her approach. She explains the procedure thoroughly at the beginning and tells you what she is doing throughout the process and is always checking if your okay. I had to be referred to a specialist for one procedure and Lida helped me with the whole process always reassuring me. The reception team are always friendly and always happy to answer any questions. Fantastic experience: My fear of dentists has gone! My dentist and dental nurse are absolutely wonderful humans. Oliver talked me through my treatment, and was incredibly patient with all of my questions. He done a marvellous job on both my fillings. Fantastic experience: I needed an emergency appointment and, as someone who is scared of dentists, I was nervous. Fantastic experience: Fairly new to this Dental surgery but would highly recommend to anyone. My experience so far has been brilliant. Lida (My current dentist) is lovely. Very informative, listens to any concerns, makes you feel comfortable and explains everything before and during the procedures. The surgery itself is spacious and clean.

Fantastic experience: I have been with this dentist for as long as I can remember and have always had excellent treatment from the dentists here. The whole team are friendly, organised and get appointments booked in as soon as possible. Most recent experience has been as stress-free as possible with Lida who has been really efficient, friendly and given as much information as possible regarding treatment options. I highly rate Lida and my usual Dentist Margaret who is also amazing!

Fantastic experience: Update Feb 22 Went back this week for my first 6-monthly check up and got the same friendly service I can’t recommend the clinic and dentist more highly. I visited as an emergency patient and have required follow up treatment. I was incredibly nervous having had traumatic experiences years ago elsewhere and having not been to a dentist for a number of years. Nervousness, embarrassment and pain, not sure I was the ideal patient! I have visited the surgery three time so far and wach time Lida has explained everything to me in detail, been gentle and caring and I'm so grateful. From my initial call and all interactions so far I would recommend this dental practice hands down.

Negative experience: I had my check up as usual, went in, mentioned I would like some work done on my front tooth, from that point I don’t believe the dentist in question looked at the rest of my teeth. Been going here for years though, so thought I would have the work done privately here. Wonderful reception team as always. Went in and the dentist persisted in repeatedly trying to get me to bite down on an X-ray plate that was clearly to large for my mouth. Until they finally relented and used one that did fit. Proceeded to put a spring in that repeatedly sprung out, hitting all my other teeth in the process, assistant huffed every time she asked to leave the room to get something. Discovers that apparently my other front tooth needed a filling. Perhaps if my teeth had actually been checked at the checkup, we would of known this, prior to my private appointment. When completed somehow the dentist had managed to cut my face just about my top lip. To be fair the tooth being worked on doesn't look to bad, will only return for check ups and will definitely go else where for any more private work required! Was not a good experience.

Fantastic experience: I changed to this practice some years ago after feeling dissatisfied with my previous dentist. Apart from the fact the treatment, staff and cleanliness are generally better, there have been occasions when I have been particularly pleased I am a patient here and last night was one of those times. For the past week I have been taking antibiotics for a tooth infection with root canal planned for 9th February. On 7th February the pain became much worse and when I phoned late afternoon, to see if there were any cancellations the following day, I was asked to go in right away to see if David Campbell could ease the pain. David removed the existing filling and put a temporary dressing in and I am now able to manage the pain until I have the root canal. I don’t think many dentists would respond that quickly or see patients at 5.45pm. I am so grateful to David and his lovely nurse for their care. Thanks for your help at this distressing time.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at this practice for many years in fact a year or so before Alistair joined himself. Throughout this period I have known many members of reception staff and assistants......and have always been treated with respect. Alastair has been an outstanding dentist and I feel priviledged to have been his long term patient. His dentistry is brilliant and he shows so much care and attention to his patients. Alistair is a lovely person and its a priviledge to be his patient.

Fantastic experience: I have been with this dentist for many years and have to say they are an excellent practice. My dentist is always so understanding and helpful, she understands my nerves and is very gentle and gets me through each check up and any work i need doing, so that i leave feeling very happy and comfortable to return again. Fantastic experience: Well my regular dentist was not there today so I was seen by Mrs Casey who was an absolute delight! Whilst I struggled not to gag whilst she was taking impressions of my upper and lower teeth, Mrs Casey's head swayed to the pop music playing in the background which made my gagging all the more bearable. But seriously, she was a delight and I highly recommend her!

Fantastic experience: I requested an urgent appointment as a very large filling fell out of a back molar. I was seen the next day by Vidya Chandran for a tooth extraction. She explained very carefully the reasons why the tooth should be extracted as the roots were infected. Clear instructions were given about how to care for the socket. She was caring and very professional and I was contacted later to check all was OK. I cannot recommend this practice, especially Vidya, more highly.

Fantastic experience: My wife has an extreme phobia of dentists but I can now say that she has relaxed to the point that she no longer worries about attending. Alistair is very patient and professional with all his procedures. The reception staff are always helpful, and welcoming, which is so important when people are nervous. We never thought we would find a practice such as this.

Fantastic experience: This is my third time there and I'm always very satisfied with the professional work done on my teeth. The relaxing music in the room kept me calm during the drills and needles. I trust South Cliff dental Group with my entire life if I need anything to be fixed because it's done to perfection. I renamed my dentist ''The Tooth Master/ The Tooth King''. I'm glad I found my dentist at South Cliff Dental Group Battle Road. I'm mostly glad that it's a walking distance from my home. I really feel secure about anything to do with my teeth or oral hygiene they're just a stone throw away and super professional in all they do. Thank you so much South Cliff Dental Group I honestly have never been happier about my teeth. I have no worries whatsoever. Lastly I don't remember feeling like this at my previous dentist. Fantastic experience: I had the first stages of a root canal treatment today with Nikki and really impressed with how efficiently she got on with the procedure, you would hardly know she was working away in my mouth and totally painless. Highly recommended as I phoned in last Friday in pain and how quickly she dealt with problem.
