Negative experience: Had a check up as a new NHS patient to be told as I had a gum infection and that mouthwash would be needed to clear up, I asked him what mouthwash to get to his reply oh don't get mouthwash till u have had a clean by the hygienes. £200 a clean!! as the infection won't go otherwise. If I actually had a gum infection what dentist would tell you to not to treat it straight away? Seems they are scamming people for work not needed and by reading reviews and the amount that are put on daily looks very suspicious. I definitely will be looking else where

Negative experience: I wrnt today for my first examination which cost me 54 pound and I wasn't told that each ex-ray will cost me 19 pound each when other dental places include x-rays in that price...I was examined by doctor Jagdar he wasn't very professional and wanted me to pay 1500 for a crown and said that he can't do a filling he goes he doesn't want to put his name on it lol I would not recommended the place after looking online just a few clicks and I can get the crowns for 695 lol avoid the place for private treatment

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this surgery to everyone out there. My dentist Aseer and nurse Juvariya did an amazing job. I needed an intensive clean… fillings etc and within 3 appointments all was done professionally. I received some treatment privately and some through NHS and I can’t complain. Dentist Aseer and Juvariya were there to provide the best service, advice and aftercare. No more bleeding gums and chipped molars.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant dentist, saw my son as an emergency and were so good with him. Dealt with the problem (two loose baby teeth which were making him uncomfortable and anxious) on the same day, understood his neurodivergence, were great with him from start to finish. He saw Dr Jagtar and nurse Jasna and they were fantastic.

Positive experience: Went in for a deep cleaning at DEU Dental Care—Dr. Syed and the nurse were amazing! Nice friendly behaviour, explained everything, the process, the realistic outcome very clearly at outset, told me what to expect and how to take care after. Really glad I went!

Fantastic experience: Woke in the night with toothache, searched online and found this practice. I could easily book an appointment for the morning online. Dentist Dr Jagtar and Nurse Marcel were excellent. I got 2 teeth one of them a wisdom tooth removed the same day. Procedure went without a hitch.

Fantastic experience: I was really anxious before my gum treatment, but Dentist Syed and Nurse Feyi made me feel completely at ease. From the moment I arrived, they were both kind, gentle, and incredibly reassuring. Dentist Syed took the time to explain everything clearly and carried out the treatment with such care and professionalism. Nurse Feyi was equally kind and supportive throughout, creating a calm and comfortable environment. The two of them worked together so well, and their compassion and warmth made a big difference to how I felt. If you’re someone who feels nervous about dental treatment, I highly recommend this team. I left feeling confident and genuinely cared for truly grateful for their outstanding care.

Negative experience: I attended DEU Dental – Headingley in June 2025 after being contacted on 10th June with a short-notice offer of an NHS dental appointment for 12th June. I was informed that if I did not attend, I would be returned to the NHS waiting list. Given the current challenges in accessing NHS dental care, I accepted the appointment. My consultation was with Syed Ahmed, who had only recently joined the practice. Just two months earlier, in April 2025, I had attended a reputable NHS dentist in Leeds, where I was advised that my teeth were healthy, with no cavities or signs of infection. During the check-up at DEU Dental, Mr. Ahmed claimed that I had a gum infection as well as cavities developing beneath three of my existing composite fillings. He recommended the removal and replacement of all three fillings. An X-ray was taken, but the practice has since refused to share the images with me, despite my request. This raises concerns, especially considering that my previous dental records indicated no such issues. Additionally, I experienced discomfort during the examination and believe that one of my fillings may have been damaged in the process. Since the appointment, I have had persistent sensitivity and tooth pain, particularly when eating cold or sugary foods—symptoms that did not exist before. I am now seeking a second opinion through a private dental provider and intend to submit a formal complaint to the appropriate authorities. I am sharing this experience to highlight the need for transparency, ethical conduct, and accurate clinical judgment within NHS dental services. Patients should not feel pressured into unnecessary treatment, especially when it negatively impacts their health and well-being.

Fantastic experience: I had a dental hygienist appointment on the 25th June with Amer it was the best clean I have had for a long time he was very professional and explained everything as he went along. He also showed me the best way to clean my teeth with my electric toothbrush. Would highly recommend him and hope I get him again in 6 months time.

Fantastic experience: Wow! What can I say. What a fantastic outcome with my new dentures. I would like to thank Holly and the nurses for helping me to smile again (or grin like a Cheshire Cat). I’m so grateful to you all. You were smiling from start of my treatments till the final result. You helped me through my nervous times and would give me time to come away from my panic and always asked if I was wanting to rearrange my appointments, etc. I was so reassured, that we were able to continue to the end of each session. The journey from extractions to the final fitting of my permanent dentures has been worth the time and effort on both sides. Holly could see that I was so happy that I ended up with tears of joy. I would also like to thank the lovely receptionists there too. Every one of them were so polite and welcoming too. The reception area and rooms are exemplary. I’m over the moon with everything about Deu Dental Care. I have added some photos of the before and after. Thanks to Holly, and their laboratory that makes the dentures.

Fantastic experience: I registered with Deu Dental earlier this year and have had an excellent experience. The team, led by my dentist Holly, is professional, friendly, and skilled. Holly’s humor and small talk make visits relaxed, and she always explains procedures clearly, ensuring everything goes smoothly. She extracted a tooth, provided a denture, and completed three cosmetic fillings on my top teeth—all done to a high standard. Various assistants supported her, but during my most recent visit for front teeth fillings, Joy was fantastic, efficiently managing water clearance during the procedure. Highly recommend Holly and the team!

Had my tooth extracted today which I was very anxious about but the whole thing was done and over quickly and was much better than the last time I had to have a tooth out at a dentist in Harrogate! Fantastic experience: Dr Deu saw me today for a routine check up I was in so much pain and needed an extraction. He got me to wait 20 minutes and fit me in to have my molar removed. It was so quick and painless,he spoke to me to calm me whole he was extracting my tooth and he made me feel at ease. Juwairiyah his assistant explained the after care and was so friendly. I would highly recommend seeing this dentist,he is the best dentist I have ever had in 51 years

Negative experience: I was on the waiting list and they've lost me. Another dentist with not great administration. Took ages to answer the call and unfortunately the customer service wasn't brilliant either. If I wasn't NHS they'd be happy to see me today.

Fantastic experience: Amazing practice started with lovely attendants. Then Dr. Jagtar and his assistant were very nice and kind. I arrived with an urgent issue with a lot of pain, and I was promptly attended among other patients. The procedure of wisdom extraction was superb, smooth and lack of pain. I do appreciate their help.

Fantastic experience: My biggest fear is the dentist hence why at 40 I am visiting for the 1st time, I am terrified. I have just completed my first tooth extraction with holly, there were tears and shaking. Trying to conjure reasons not to go through with it. With the teams support and reassurance it’s now complete with no pain and my biggest fear overcome. All the staff from the receptionist and dental team are amazing. I could not have done it without their support. I will never use another dentist. I can’t Thank them enough for the absolute life changing experience they have given me. The shame and embarrassment is gone and I can smile again without worrying about people seeing my front bottom tooth. And also I can’t wait to eat a cheeseburger without fear of my tooth coming out!! 5 stars guys - you are a brilliant team!!!

Fantastic experience: I had a really great experience at Deu, and Dentist Jagtar and nurse Juwairiyah made me feel really comfortable during the whole appointment. They managed to fit me in quite last minute on the day that I called for a private appointment, and were able to do treatment on the same day too. I’ve previously had quite a negative experience at another dentist, and I have a lot of anxiety surrounding dental treatment, but this has been one of the best experiences I’ve had, so I’d really recommend this practice !

Negative experience: This dental practice has a tiered system where nhs patients will be seen downstairs and private patients will be seen upstairs! In my personal opinion this stinks of second rate citizenship where if you pay you will receive better care! I am disabled through no fault of my own and have been made to feel like I am a second rate citizen due to the tiered system they provide

Negative experience: I received absolutely disgusting service from the main doctor/owner jagtar. Once he found out i was a NHS patient he was very rude to me. After saying i want the free nhs fillings he said “well before i do anything for you, you need 2 £200 cleans.” I said no dentist charges £400 for a clean. To which he responded “Maybe you should find another dentist then”. Im shocked & scarred from this experience. After visiting another dentist they claimed this £400 clean was not needed at all to complete a filling. If you are an adult on NHS he tries his utmost to put you off and get rid of you. I had been on a waiting list and finally got an appointment but left Deu Dental and willing to join another 2 year waiting list just because of the horrible treatment. Attached proof i had an appointment with him.

Fantastic experience: I had two fillings replaced by Simna & nurse Haleema and they were both wonderful, I opted to go ahead without numbing and I didn’t feel a thing, Simna talked me through the process and ensured I was comfortable at all times. Couldn’t recommend enough, Thank you both!
