Negative experience: Avoid if you can. They not allowing any second opinion for their diagnose and they will refuse to treat you after. Very upsetting about their service.

The dentist Lucy Barrett was so lovely and talked me through what she was going to do, and asked if I had any questions. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Walkden since 2006. I was very anxious about treatment as a nervous patient. Throughout that time I have felt extremely comfortable and the staff, dentist and hygienists have been patient and really nice. Rachel the hygienist is brilliant in my opinion and treats people with dignity and respect and kindness. Nicola is now my dentist after Janice retired and after my first appointment recently with her ive also found her two be very nice too. The ladies on reception, again, are all very courteous, polite and helpful as well as being nice as well. Overall I've been going there 16 years now and have travelled some distance even after moving homes (from Didsbury, then Stretford and now from Blackrod) to keep the practice as my dentist. Thats testament to how good I believe the practice is.

Fantastic experience: This is an excellent dentist practice from the receptionist to the dentist. Definitely recommend this to anyone who might feel reluctant to visit dentists. The receptionists are friendly and the dentist, mine is Mr Scott, keep you well informed and up to date of the condition of your teeth. My children have visited the dentist since they were very young and have been treated brilliant.

Fantastic experience: I've had a fear of going to the dentist most of my life and had not been since before Covid, which made it worse. I've now had several appointments with Nicola who is fantastic with nervous patients. She made me feel calm and I was able to have the treatment I needed without panicking. I'm embarrassed to admit that as a woman in her fifties, this is the first time I've been to dental appointments on my own. The clinic is also well managed and the receptionists and dental nurses are all really friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the clinic, especially for nervous patients.

Fantastic experience: Had my first treatment at this surgery today with Sam after my initial very thorough check up a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed. He was very professional and caring in his manner and would put anyone at ease. I was amazed when my treatment was over which consisted of two fillings one being large and i didn't feel a thing throughout the entire procedure from start to finish. The surgery has a pleasant atmosphere about it, with very friendly staff all looking smart and professional in their appearance. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: If you are registering as a private patient, I would not advise. I showed up for my initial appointment, but I was seen more than 20 minutes late. The dentist then instructed me to press down on something in my mouth in order to take x-ray pictures, which left me with a huge bruise in my mouth. Additionally, I had to pay 32 pounds for two x-rays which I did not initially ask for(I thought i only needed one). In total, I had spent nearly £100 for 15 minute checkup, where they did not sort any of my issues. Please avoid & go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: Scott Singleton treated my autistic teen with respect, incredible patience, talked them through the procedure, restored their confidence that a dentist can be understanding and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and the practice to anyone in the autistic community

Positive experience: Great overall, staff were lovely and knew what they were doing, the place is clean and very professional. I just had an issue with having additional costs added on top without it being mentioned before hand. X-rays in my opinion aren't totally essential unless you specifically have a big problem. I was only there for a check-up.

Fantastic experience: I have been with this practise for some 29 years now. And there has been a few changes over the years. I was under the care of Mr Ryan. Who has now retired. I have a new dentist a young man called Scott I couldn't wish for a better replacement he is very patience and caring he reassures you at every stage of the treatment in my opinion he is excellent dentist. And without hesitation I would definitely recommend him I travel from ramsbottom to attend this practise.

Fantastic experience: I was visiting Walkden Dental Practice for my routine check-up, I arrived early as I usually get appointment's for 08:30, my actual appointment was for 09:10 I must have been on auto-pilot, anyway this wasn't a problem the receptionist was very polite and said take a seat. I settled down in their large and comfortable waiting room and to my surprise I was called to see the dentist within five minutes. No waiting around even though it was my mistake. I was going to see a new dentist in Nicola as my dentist was on leave. Nicola was very polite and extremely gentle in the cleaning process she carried out. I suffered no discomfort even with my sensitive teeth, Nicola gave me some good advice and was very reassuring. This is the Dental Practice for you, especially if you have a fear of going to the dentist as I did around 20 years ago. Very reassuring and professional people.
