Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to Dentistry For You in Forest Hill since 2017 and have consistently received excellent care. I’m really happy with the service here. Nadeem is my dentist—he’s very attentive and always puts me at ease, which is especially important as I used to be quite a nervous patient. He carried out extensive treatment for me, including replacing my old amalgam fillings with white ones, and also referred me for braces. I also see Aloka every six months for a hygienist/air polish appointment. She’s extremely skilled and helps me maintain a bright, healthy smile with minimal discomfort. Thank you to the whole team!

She is always professional, makes me feel calm and at ease, will talk me through the process so I know what to expect, is empathetic and always fair on charging. I had another experience with a dentist at the same practice which wasnt particular present as Dorothy was present for me to book with and I wont be ever taking the risk to go to anyone else. I also want to comment on the lovely girl on reception When I went for my appointment on Friday afternoon with black thick frame glasses, slim and tall. Very friendly and smiley.

Fantastic experience: As always a very helpful appointment with the hygienist Aloka Pugrat. Very thorough deep clean, and great advice on using Tee Per for behind lower front teeth. Isee the hygienist every 4-6 months and Dr Binou for dental appointments. Both excellent and ensuring my gums are stable.

Fantastic experience: Had an emergency tooth issue. But wasnt registered at a dental surgery. The dental team registered me immediately and managed to get me a slot on the same day and resolved my tooth issue. Haya (hopefully spelt correctly) dealt with my issue with care and attention and made me feel relaxed and comfortable, always asking if I was OK. Absolutely great service from Haya, and to all the team overall. Thank you .

Negative experience: My first time appointment and I’m not sure if I’ll be back. The dentist didn’t want to hear anything I had to say in regards to my dental history. I basically paid £28 for him to tell me what I already knew which was I need to have my tooth taken out. I have an issue with my front tooth and was previously told I need a root canal which I tried to explain and he didn’t want to listen. He didn’t even check my front tooth. Overall a very poor experience. I understand it’s NHS and they are limited but at least take the time to hear me out.

Positive experience: Check ups feel rushed though work is done to good standard , hard to get check up without going private unless it’s months in advance , seems money orientated too and prices are expensive.

Negative experience: I arrived on time for my appointment and waited 45 mins to be seen. When I walked into the room there was no genuine care or compassion for my time, no apology for being substantially late whatsoever. I walked away not being treated because there was no time to treat my infection so I now have to return (and pay more money) for treatment later on this month. I’m disappointed with the service especially considering I’ve had pleasant interactions at this dentist surgery in the past. Today’s experience has made me question whether I should change my dentist because I walked away still in pain and disappointed at the service I received.

Fantastic experience: I went today for an emergency dental appointment through NHS 111. The receptionists were friendly and kept me up to date when the dentist was running a little behind, which I really appreciated. The dentist was helpful and friendly. I was impressed how quickly I was sorted both with NHS111 and the dentists. I feel reassured knowing they are there if I have future dental emergencies.

Negative experience: No star if I could. Unprofessional, disorganised. Definitely would nit recommend this dentist to anyone. They were supposed to send a referral for me Feb24. Which was never sent. When I chased them, they simply said it’s a 1 year wait list, but never actually checked the referral. It’s only after I emailed king’s and guy’s hospitals my myself that I found out a referral had never been sent and if it had it would have been a 90 day wait list. It then took months of pushing the dental admin team and practice manager to get referrals sent to the correct place (because they kept sending to kings and guys when they should have been sending to a triage service. I final got treatment last week (Feb2025!) at a community dental service where I was advised that my dentist should have fitted me for dentures before having my teeth removed. Forest Hill dental has always told me dentures will be fitted after teeth are removed. The 1st appointment they could offer for denture fitting was 19 Mar 25 and today they called to say that’s cancelled and I’ll have to wait another day for something they should have had sorted already. I have no faith in this half baked practice and am only here until I finish this treatment

However, losing two stars due to the head orthodontist, who tried to shave down my canines without asking, after I told him repeatedly that I wanted to keep them as they were. He also frequently and openly berated the front desk staff.

She is incredibly efficient, professional, and considerate, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I came in with my 17 year old daughter for a 3pm appointment today. The dentist's manner was entirely inappropriate. He called my daughter sweetheart. He offered her two treatments without any proper explanation of what they involved. I also noticed that the woman making a note of his examination comments had to lean right behind him, squeezed into a very narrow space which looked very uncomfortable and was entirely unprofessional. From what I observed I think you should have serious concerns about this dentist's conduct.

Positive experience: Never relish a visit to the dentist. My visit was good - starting on time; everything clearly explained & had less treatment than expected, so a good result.

Negative experience: Avoid. Mess up charges. Say you need expensive treatment when you don’t. Receptionists have poor people skills. It baffles me how many good reviews they have. I wouldn’t give 1 star if I could.

After my first appointment, I had complete faith and trust in my Dentist. I've always felt in safe hands. I don't fear a trip to the Dentist anymore. Fantastic experience: I needed an emergency appointment after losing a filling, and they managed to book me in the next day. I was seen by Hannah Belle Cando who was exceptional. Despite the internet being down on the day I visited, which caused issues with them accessing systems, and taking x-rays; Hannah was very thorough and diligent, explaining the options I had in plain English, as well as seeking a second opinion from another dentist. In fact, this is now the second time that they have asked a more senior dentist for a second opinion whilst I have been there; it shows the level of care that they take to ensure the correct course of action is taken. I couldn't recommend them highly enough, and I've always had a good experience with the reception staff too.

Negative experience: This is the worst dentist in Forest Hill, and the worst dental clinic I've been to so far. The receptionists are condescending, rude, and have a bad attitude. They are uncompromising and do not have their patients' best interests at heart. For example, I was three minutes late for an appointment (which had already been rescheduled for the second time), and they refused to see me, insisting that I rebook. This is despite the fact that they once canceled my appointment on the same day while I was checking in, claiming the dentist had an emergency with his daughter. When I do arrive on time, I usually have to wait between 5 and 15 minutes, and occasionally over 15 minutes. When I pointed this out to the dentist, his response was, "We are the ones providing the service." I was shocked by this reply, as I could have easily responded that we, as patients, are the ones paying for the service that makes his salary. However, I stayed polite and instead asked to be removed from their registration list. They instructed me to send an email to confirm my request, which I did on September 13th, 2024. It is now October 14th, and I have yet to receive a reply. This clinic expects patients to be understanding and accommodating, but they do not extend the same courtesy in return. People have jobs and often need to take a half day or a full day off to attend appointments. We can't just reschedule as they see fit. To anyone reading this review, I strongly advise you to avoid this clinic, it's the worst in Forest Hill. And the quality of service is poor as well. They once failed to take proper X-rays for my daughter and asked me to book another appointment to do it again. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Fantastic experience: My recent experience of dental hygiene work could have been very painful and uncomfortable but Neha was great. Injections were virtually painless and the hour plus appointment passed very quickly. Numbness too wore off very quickly. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Negative experience: Best dentist in south east London been coming for years left and went back never found any as good as these . Unfortunately my opinion has changed I have now put them down from a five star to a 1 . You can never get through the answering machine message service makes no sense . Tells u to push 1 or 2 to hold or leave a message and then it's the wrong one. Tells u it's open then in the breath tells you it's closed. Say they will get back to you and don't. I'm not impressed.

Fantastic experience: I dunno how the team here manages to put up with me when I still end up being able to chat no matter how much numbing they give me Each and every reception team member, dental nurse/assistant and dentist that I’ve interacted with have been fantastic - there’s never been a day where I’ve walked out of there and gone ‘that was ridiculous’. Background - I have bad teeth, didn’t look after them as a kid and now at 30 years old trying to fix the mess that is my mouth. They’ve all been so patient with me, teaching me again and again how to use teepees, reminding me how to use the electric toothbrush most effectively - and over the course of 3 years, progress slower because of me alone, I’m seeing consistent real improvement. I don’t need a new filling every single time I go in, whereas years 1 & 2 I always did. I’m not afraid or shy about being honest when my dental hygiene hasn’t been up to parr and they don’t make me feel bad about it - they just remind me of the techniques, why it works so well, and give me the confidence I can do better. I know it sounds mad reading the above if you’ve always had good dental hygiene but for me, and I’m sure others, the unique selling point of dentistry for you is the co-ordinated effort they make both within a single practice and across multiple practices to ensure us as patients get everything we need to be set up for success. This review may sound OTT as it is but trust me I could’ve been even more specific and more complementary, but I want people to see this as an honest review and a practice they should be absolutely turning to for the best care! I’m confident if I was to move too far from them they’d be able to recommend a brilliant dentist to go to to cause you can see Nadeem and his team are well connected and just want what’s best for their patients. Big big thankyou - I look forward to tormenting all of you by chatting through my entire sessions no matter how much pain relief I get

Fantastic experience: I’ve been in the surgery for the last 25 years and especially the last 14 years with the same doctor which is Miss Nahna Singh is an excellent experience. Doctor and I don’t have the word to explain how good she is always look after they patient especially for myself and my wife and my kids and giving a Educational and accurate information and suggestion and she’s very helpful excellent doctor and the surgery which I found out so if it is more than five star I will give you her 100 star, she’s very good. I am recommended the forshill dental surgery overall .

Fantastic experience: It’s been a few months since we saw Dr. Rajan Bhandal for my kids and it was honestly the best session to date. Very grateful! She was very patient and gave really great advice. My kids felt at ease and more confident about their dental care moving forward. I only hope the practice has kept Dr. Bhandal on as she is a credit to any employer.

She was not content to do a quick "patch up" job on my broken tooth but restored to to an appearance that i thought would be impossible to achieve.
