Fantastic experience: Extremely good with my daughter’s experience at the dentist. Lovely man and very polite and friendly.

Negative experience: The service here was absolutely terrible! Two receptionists barely explained anything, and it seemed like they didn’t know what they were talking about. My two-year-old son was banned because we couldn’t attend the appointment due to travelling abroad for a family emergency. Customer service is always a priority, but it seems like they don’t have that here. I don’t recommend this place at all.

Fantastic experience: I have been with the practice for over 30 years and I have always been treated with respect and kindness. Any treatment plans have been discussed fully and I have always been able to ask questions without being rushed. Even though we moved from Rochester to Maidstone we always would come back to the Thorndike. We lived in Sheffield for a while and we still travelled to use the practice. Dr Manzor and Dr Shah are our regular family dentists. I have even managed to get my Dad to go there after many years of not going to the dentist. He is so happy with the service he receives from Dr Aftab. The receptionists are very helpful. Everyone is professional and welcoming; I cannot recommend this practice enough.

Fantastic experience: DR FAHD ZAHEER I was very nervous as my tooth had cracked and was told it would need to come out. Due to a previous extraction (not this dentist), I started to panic but he was patient and understanding and kept me informed throughout the whole process. The 2 female dental nurses that were with him were so lovely, kind and attentive, they kept me reassured and throughout the whole appointment, I had one of them holding my hand at any time. I phoned at 11.40 and was told there had been a cancellation so if I could get there at 12.10 then I could have the appointment, so I rushed straight there. Receptionists are always so lovely there as well and the practice itself is very clean and well maintained.

I went in the wrong date, as I went in a day before my actual appointment, and Bethany (Receptionist) was able to slide in my appointment on the day which was brilliant! Thank you for that. Along with a great specialist dentist Dr Raheel Aftab. I had a check up with him, and he was very helpful at explaining things for my current situation with my gum problem. He managed to take out his time, and get a 2nd appointment booked in for my hygiene clean on the day. Which was very kind of him to do so, thank you for that. Really appreciate it. Definitely my best experience I’ve had so far!

He explained everything clearly and made me feel completely at ease. The whole dental team was friendly and professional. Fantastic experience: Fahd Zaheer & his assistant provide an excellent service which is far superior to any dentist I’ve had before. Fantastic experience: I attended the surgery today where Dr Fahd Zaheer created a composite tooth in place of a missing crown. The procedure was quite lengthy but Dr Zaheer and his assistant made sure I was comfortable at all times. Once built, Dr Zaheer was meticulous in finishing off the tooth and making sure it was exactly the right size. I was very pleased with the outcome.

My dentist Dr Fahd Zaheer and nurse Vee make it a joy coming for my 6 month check ups. Dr Fahd has a lot of compassion and really cares about the welfare of his patients. He listens to all my concerns, gives good advice and prevention methods. I have a lot of anxiety about coming to the dentist but during my appointments they made me laugh, feel relaxed and at ease. Fantastic experience: Began using this dental practice after a poor experience elsewhere. I had a tooth taken out and an implant fitted. Due to the nature of what was needed, there were a number of appointments and procedures before the implant could be fitted. At all times Dr Manzoor was a delight. Positive experience: My recent visit to the Thorndike dental practice in Chatham for a check up went well. My appointment was on time and Harriet Allan my dentist was comprehensive and painless. The only constructive criticism I have is why not install an intercom or tv text to advise patients in the waiting room that they are wanted to help efficiency.

Fantastic experience: As someone with major sensory issues, sensitive teeth and dodgy gums, visiting the dentist is not my favourite pastime! However, I've nothing but praise for Dr Fahd Zaheer and assisting nurses (most recently Jodie) who are always patient and make the experience as easy as possible for me. I really appreciate the time taken to ensure thoroughness whilst minimising my discomfort. Great work!

Fantastic experience: I have been with them for about 3 years now and I absolutely adore Dr Shah, he has always been extremely professional and so kind. I used to be absolutely petrified of dentists (bad past experiences) but Dr Shah has completely changed my mindset and now I have a dental plan and go every 6 months for check ups. Nothing is ever too much for him and even though I am a private patient he has never done work just for the sake of it, if anything he would always advise against certain things as they could cause more harm … if I had one criticism is that the hygienist always seems to be late - I have never been seen on time… it is never more than 15 minutes but still… would be nice to be seen on time :)
