Fantastic experience: Made to feel welcome and comfortable. Welcomed with a smile, the whole experience was relaxed. Can't recommend my dentist enough. My appointment was the penultimate one of the day, so even after a long day. The dentist was thorough and diligent. Whilst talking through the whole treatment. What an asset to the practice.

I was seen within 10 minutes of my appointment time My only concern is that I think the costs charged are excessive but that has nothing to do with the dentist personally

Positive experience: my dentist is super nice, the receptionists today seemed a bit two faced though, we came in a little late (10m) because of a family emergency and when receptionists were speaking to eachother about us they said “tell __ his patients are here” and the other nurses replied “really? they’re here?” which was odd, one was sat playing with her hair with a claw clip and pulling silly faces. very unprofessional honestly

Negative experience: Not had a great experience here to be honest. Moved to the area joined them as a private patient through denplan. For starters the denplan website states kaye and rafferty offer denplan care and essentials however they insist they only offer essentials so that needs sorting for other potential customers. Booked for my initial assessment with Jessica. Phoned me up to cancel my first appointment saying she wasn’t going to be able to make it so they re booked me in. She was nice and pleasant. Told me I needed 6 fillings . I’d had a checkup 8 months prior and my previous dentist was keeping an eye on 1 or 2 not 6. But anyway I wasn’t going to argue with her decision. Price was £734 seemed expensive that wasn’t for composite either that was for amalgam (silver ones) . Booked to have the first 3 done on one side. Gave me the needle to numb was quite surprised paying private money they didn’t numb the injection site first before the needle my previous private dentist did this for the least amount of pain. While she was waiting for my mouth to numb she did a scale and polish oh my word. I have never experienced pain like it in my life. The word butchered was an understatement she rushed, was heavy handed and was putting me in excruciating pain I was moaning, wincing and eyes watering there were tons of blood I was shaking in shock. My mouth was so sore for a good week I had swelling on the inside of my cheek where I think she caught it with something . The fillings she did were quick but a good job (I think) it was just so rushed and wasn’t a nice experience . Paying private you usually get a relaxed non rushed appointment but it was like she was against the clock. I have never experienced a dental appointment so bad even as a NHS patient in previous years . My previous private dentist gave you time, patience and was really careful she was the opposite. It was that bad it put me off my next 3 fillings appointment I cancelled my denplan and the receptionist didn’t even ask me why when I told her I had a bad experience she just said ok. I joined following the great reviews and high rating Kaye and rafferty have maybe I was just unlucky on this occasion but now I have anxiety about going elsewhere incase I ever have this again. Sorry Kaye & Rafferty but this is just my experience.

Fantastic experience: Let’s face it, no one relishes a trip to the Dentist. The best case scenario is to be in and out as quickly as possible and with the least amount of treatment required. Fortunately I’m with Kaye Rafferty who do their best to make your appointment as easy as possible. This starts with a friendly welcome at the front desk and generally very little queuing time because the staff are well organized and manage the appointments efficiently. Today I had a new Dentist, Peter Whitehouse who, along with his assistant, was very welcoming and friendly. The examination was carried out professionally, followed by some advice on brushing and then I was on my way, with a new appointment in 6 months time.

Fantastic experience: Scheduled appointments to have a dental implant. I was kept fully informed of the procedure and costings leading up to the day of my surgery. On the day I was greeted by friendly reception staff and directed to the waiting area where I wasn't waiting long to be seen. During my surgery, staff involved ensured my welfare and wellbeing were priority, the procedure was explained step by step, and I was made to feel completely at ease. Further appointments were scheduled, and aftercare was fully explained. A very pleasant experience and would certainly recommend this practice of which i have been attending for over 40 years.

Positive experience: I have used kaye and Rafferty dentist for almost 50 years, going every 6 months up until COVID. Since then I think I have only been three times. It has changed a lot. You need to book a separate hygienist appointment for a clean which adds to the cost, I have needed an x ray in each of these three visits, which is quite expensive. I need the vet back into the habit of giving ng every year. The dentist, assistant and reception staff were all great though and friendly.
