The Dental Surgery

Negative experience: All staff were friendly and professional. Having been a regular for many years I was surprised to be told I needed three extractions and four fillings! The following day I had an extremely sore throat and eventually tested for Covid. No symptoms before visit.

Fantastic experience: Been coming to this dentist for a few years now and I love it, feel very at ease there, and they make you feel very relaxed, all friendly staff including my dentist Johnathan who see regular and had few treatments from him and very happy! Especially with today’s work! My Teeth look so good thanks so much guys

Fantastic experience: Saw Rob Kelly yesterday. Had treatment for an infected molar. I’ve previously had root canal work done on this tooth. At another dentist And a cap fitted. It’s become infected. And I’d been given the choice of removal or seeing Rob who specialises in re doing the root filling. I’d chosen to save the tooth. Yesterday was the first of probably 2 sessions I need. Anyone who’s had root canal work knows it’s awful. And. I’ll admit yesterday’s hour and a half session was not enjoyable . But Rob explained the procedure. Initial injections to numb the tooth went better than I’ve experienced previously. I was glad when it was over. But I’m grateful for Rob doing such a great job. Second session in June. I’ll let you know how it ends! Today is Sunday 4th May. Latest update is. I’m really suffering with severe toothache. Had a sleepless night. And. As the dentist is not open. I’ve been in touch with the nhs 111 line. Obviously something isn’t right. And. Hopefully something will be done. They referred me to Weston General hospital to see their dental department. Have an infection in the root canal! Now on Anti biotics. Hopefully it works The antibiotics worked. Tooth settled down. And everything much better. Today is the 6th June. And yesterday I had the second and hopefully final session of root canal treatment. In the chair for an hour! Not easy with your mouth open that long is it? Seems fine today. And hopefully all will be ok going forward. Many thanks to Rob and all the staff.

Fantastic experience: An excellent practice with exceptional service and professionalism. I have been seeing Paul (one of the dentists) for many years and I always look forward to the appointment and the banter and can’t say enough good things about Paul. Likewise I saw Rebecca ( one of the hygienists) yesterday and again Rebecca is very thorough, charming and is always pleased to explain what she will do and I have now learnt what the numbers are the hygienist speaks out as she goes around your mouth!!!

Fantastic experience: Just had my first appointment and felt super accommodated throughout the whole booking experience, especially as I had to move my appointment a few times due to new work commitments. Dentist was lovely and had a very reassuring manner. Clearly pointed things out to me in a way I understood - not just dentist jargon.

Fantastic experience: Efficient and caring. I have particular praise for Dr Paul Murphy. After my treatment he arranged a telephone call the following day to check that all was well. Whilst treatment is not cheap (prices have been rising steeply over the past few years) the service is excellent. You get what you pay for!

All members of staff that I encountered were lovely. The place had a really friendly and relaxed atmosphere to it.

Negative experience: Disappointed that there was still significant staining on my teeth after seeing the hygienist. I wasn’t given a mirror to inspect my teeth at the end so only noticed when I got home and my partner also noticed it! The appointment itself was fine the staff friendly and professional. I just didn’t feel it was worth the £64 I paid .

Fantastic experience: I have had excellent care and advice for many years. My last visit continued the detailed attention I receive from the hygienist Holly and her assistant and the ongoing advice as to how best to maintain and improve my oral health as I get older. Negative experience: Recently had a tooth extraction which was as good as it could possibly be however I didn't receive any following aftercare advice and no painkillers were supplied. I was left with an infection/abscess which has not been the first time I have came away from the dentist with this. I recently went to an appointment just before christmas for a check up and the next following day I had an abscess on the same area they were checking over thoroughly. I was issued anti biotics after the appointment but was told I would not need these. I needed painkillers and should have been prescribed with these. My partner had to drive an hour and half away from home to obtain painkillers to help. I was also told there would be a follow up appointment the next day to check in and see how everything was going... I did not receive this phone call. I feel the customer service and hygiene quality is appalling. As it's a private dental surgery and I am paying for this service, you'd expect a high level of customer service and after care.

Fantastic experience: Once again the service I have received from the Dental Surgery has been amazing. Why do tooth aches always happen at weekends? I left an answerphone message at 6:55 on Monday morning, had a call back at 7:55 and an appointment later that morning. I left with reassurance from knowing the cause of the problem, a prescription and no charge! I have been a patient here for many years and have needed a lot of treatment in that time. And, whilst I don't like having dental treatment, I almost look forward to going. Thank you everyone.

I’ve had a hygienist appointment with Rebecca, and I must admit, she’s been amazing! She was gentle and always checking in. My teeth and gums feel so good and clean that I can’t stop smiling! I was forced to seek a referral to an experienced Endodontist. I had a Root Canal treatment with Robert Kelly. My appointments were swift. Robert is friendly, professional, detailed and focused.The surgery went smoothly and efficiently. With great communication throughout. The tooth appearance looks great, post treatment compared to the NHS dentist's work. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: the dental practice provided a check up and treatment for a new filling after damage occurred promptly - although my assigned dentist was on leave. My thanks to the dentist who attended to my issue very skilled and careful throughout the procedure. my latest visit was as usual managed promptly and professionally with all questions on future treatments considered and relevant follow up appointments made . The Dental Practice in Clifton is always professional helpful and informative about personal dental health and puts prevention first which is holistic and offers new info on dental health as it emerges - a forward looking practice - I have been with the practice long term as it offers first class dentistry - even if I do not always look forward to a visit ! As per usual a professional and helpful treatment appointment with the Hygienist on time and carried out with care

Positive experience: Would have had 5 stars but the appointment was 15 minutes late due to the dentist being stuck in traffic but no real issues. Otherwise an excellent service with the dentist taking time to look into my problem and explaining the outcome clearly. I have been with this practice for 40 years and they are excellent.

Interdental brushes need various sizes. Brand name that sells separate handles to reuse with the brushes which go to landfill after using. Thanks my teeth are so oooo clean!

Fantastic experience: I broke a tooth over the weekend when I was supposed to be travelling for a holiday. On the Monday morning I was offered an emergency appointment. Paul made a good temporary fix the same morning so that I could travel on holiday. All credit to the surgery and to Paul for making this possible. From a regular customer at this dental practice.
