Negative experience: Not happy has I was referred from nhs 111 went in for my appointment nurse said would you like sedation I said yes she said I will rebook you dentist came in said this patient does not meet this criteria and proceeded to pull 3 broken teeth stabbing me in the upper gum because I was referred to this clinic why was I treated this way I have booked a appointment with a specialist at this practice for a front tooth replacement I hope because I will be paying for this I’m better treated

I didn’t even realize the tooth had been removed thanks to the effective anesthesia. The staff were professional and made me feel comfortable throughout. Fantastic experience: I was referred to Barkhill dental clinic by my own dentist. I went to my consultation appointment and was very welcomed, the building is beautiful and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I went back a few weeks later for my extraction, a little anxious! I was made to feel relaxed, important and calm. Both dentist and nurse were very kind, and made me feel less nervous. They both spoke to me during the whole process and gave me lots of advice. It was an absolute pleasure to have been seen by the wonderful people in this clinic

Positive experience: Really lovely place and very friendly staff and patient with you. They explain everything so you can understand what is going to happen. If you have mobility issues there are steps to access the building. I have been informed there is another entrance at the back of the building. I did not ask at the time.

Fantastic experience: My first visit to the clinic . Very friendly, professional staff. **Update ** had a tooth extraction this morning . Was feeling a bit apprehensive but was made to feel very relaxed by Ben my dentist and his nurse (sorry i didn't get her name). I opted for for sedation which was a very good experience for me. It's not for everyone but the team talked over my options beforehand. If you are in need of a private dentist I would certainly recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: Had been referred by my own dentist for an extraction, I am a very nervous patient when it comes to going to the dentist. So i was offered sedation for my extraction. From 1st visit to the day of the extraction I got 1st class service. Everything was explained to me due to my nerves. All the staff were excellent. Would defo recommend and maybe I may xfer my care to here.

Fantastic experience: Khazenifar did a fantastic job on my extraction nice and fast the dentist I went to before failed to take my tooth out after over 30 mins of trying but this guy took less than 1 minute it went soo smooth and fast if Ur struggling with a extraction look no further this legend will get the job done all the staff were nice and friendly too ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Positive experience: Very professional and friendly. But listening to the music in the waiting room was actually worse than having root canal treatment. DJ,s with verbal diarrhoea, playing "bubblegum music", set my teeth on edge(bit of a pun there). I would have thought a man of Ian,s calibre and good taste(except for a supporting Wolverhampton Wanderers) would have opted for Gold or Classic FM.

Positive experience: Nice location, friendly staff, the 2 stars lost reflect that all I had was a conversation I.e the dentist did not look in my mouth and could have been done over the phone. As a non-driver (due to Epilepsy) I travelled for over an hour on public transport to get there which was less than ideal given zero requirement for anything other than a chat.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend my Denist Islam AbdelSalam enough—he has been absolutely fantastic with my dental care. Every time I visit, he’s incredibly thorough and effective with my treatment. He takes the time to explain everything clearly, which really puts me at ease, and he always makes sure I’m comfortable throughout the process. His calm and reassuring manner has helped me stay relaxed even during more stressful appointments. What makes the experience even better is his amazing nurse, Neelam. She had a positive energy into the room, was cheerful and upbeat. The two of them make a great team: My dentist, Islam with his steady and calm and full of positive energy. You can really feel that they care about their patients, and that makes such a difference. I genuinely trust Dr Islam with my dental care and always leave my appointments feeling well looked after. Highly recommend! Also a big thank you as well to the receptionist, who is always so friendly and welcoming. From the moment I walk in to the moment I leave.

Positive experience: Lovely clean clinic, and tooth was out in a matter of minutes. Only thing I'd say, is that when booking the appointment, I wasn't made aware that I needed to request sedation as well as numbing. I went expecting to be sedated and had even fasted all day and arranged for my child to stay at her grandmas in preparation. A receptionist just mentioning it would have saved me a lot of trouble and anxiety. Otherwise, great service.

Fantastic experience: Attended to have a problematic wisdom tooth out. The staff were amazing. It was pain free and despite needing a longer procedure to remove the tooth, it was done very quickly. This experience has really changed my perspective of dentists. They provided me with sedation due to my anxiety which helped me soo much and provided me with the best care ever I honestly couldn’t thank the team enough and would recommend them to everyone. After 3 years I can now confidently smile again and this would have never been possible with Dr Zahida and the team. Thankyou once again

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment at lunchtime for a broken tooth. Lovely dentist said I needed a crown and he prepared the tooth there and then. I go back at 3 pm to have the crown fitted. Superb treatment at Barkhill by professional dentists.

Fantastic experience: Had a root extracted which was all that was left of a tooth that broke off while I was in hospital recovering from a stroke. Was given enough pain relief so that I barely felt the extraction and was quite surprised when it was all done . My first experience of private treatment and I'm very happy with the result, may have an infection in the socket but that's my own fault.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time at Barkhill after being referred from My Dentist for surgery. Barkhill were great from start to finish, friendly staff, calm environment and surgery was performed quickly.

Negative experience: Awful Going to the dentist is never a pleasant experience but and everybody knows this whether you're a dentist or patient - so at which point you'd think there was a level of compassion, understanding and to some degree, patience. Well - first issue came from the person on the phone, when I notified I would not be able to attend my appointment because I had covid I was told well you're unable to attend so I'll refer you back, a "discussion" later about the notice period and the fact that I am willing to attend even with covid and the appointment was moved a month on. Lets just say the discussion was "tense" and argumentative shall we when I thought I was doing the right thing. Extraction - x2 Wisdom, no sedation. So onto - what i can only describe is dentistry from the 1800's :- I could literally describe this procedure as walked in, got jabbed, walked out for 10, walked in, picked up pliers, pushed down, twisted and pulled, walked out the door leaving the nurse to mop up the mess. Came back in and did it again. I'm not bothered about the procedure but I do get major anxiety about the injection into my gum, so when you get told "if you cant relax we'll just refer you for sedation" it doesn't exactly help, also, when not enough aesthetic has gone in it needs to be repeated, the pain literally shot up through my cheek and into my eye but zero compassion shown, just left the room to work on the other x2 rooms he was working at the same time and made me feel like I was in the wrong for grabbing his wrist in desperation. I wasn't going to review but having read virtually the same review from 2 years ago by somebody else nothings changed, this dentist working 3 rooms at a time cannot offer the time needed - its a conveyor belt, I was a referral, and NHS - and it showed and it felt like it the treatment I received. I feel I was treated like I wouldn't be back so whip these out as quick as possible and move on. 5 days later, the top one has loose hanging bits in the hole, the bottom one is swollen and uncomfortable, both are still seeping blood, and I'm still on soft foods - zero interest in returning despite being told to if needed - scarred, I'm not even ready to speak to my actual practice.

Fantastic experience: Dr Zaheda @ Barkhill is an angel my son had his 2 front teeth knocked out at primary school had them ‘fixed’ but always hated how they looked and was so self conscious. Zaheda worked her magic and constructed 2 superb composites and the result is amazing! No more hiding his mouth behind his hand, he has new found confidence and we can’t thank her enough. Highly recommend, such a perfectionist thank you he absolutely loves them.

I was nervous because I'd been referred there from my dentist because she thought it was a very tricky tooth and wasn't confident she could take it out The dentist Ben and his lovely dental nurse made me feel completely at ease and said there was nothing to be worried about. He numbed my tooth and I honestly didn't feel a thing, one tug it was out. AMAZING, Thank you Ben

Fantastic experience: Had my wisdom tooth extracted, was a little nervous but nurse Isabelle was great in calming me and reassuring that everything would be okay as well as giving me the option to come back for the sedation instead, Dr Sas was brilliant, he was so quick and the tooth was out before I knew it! Over all a very positive experience from both the nurse, who spoke very calmly, professionally and with empathy and the Dr who was efficient and clearly very well experienced at what he does.
