Negative experience: I am extremely upset with the way I have been treated at this practice. From the very beginning, I have felt that my concerns were not listened to or taken seriously. The communication around my treatment has been poor, leaving me confused and anxious about what was happening. I was given expectations about my dentures that were not met, and months later I am still waiting without clear answers. On top of that, I found the dentist’s manner towards me rude and dismissive, which made me feel very uncomfortable during my appointments. This whole experience has caused me a great deal of stress and has had a serious effect on my mental health. I do not feel I have been treated with the respect, care, or professionalism that any patient deserves.

Negative experience: Hygienist - paid for 20 minute appointment, I was only in there about 10 minutes tops. I thought that he was meant to put the tooth polisher on with a brush & take off after. However, he put the polisher on with his index finger which was wrong in so many ways. Dentist - paid for a 10 minute appointment. The receptionist agreed that I was only in there for about 5 minutes. Receptionist said that she would ask the practice manager to call me about the above on Thursday, 31st July 2025. I'm still waiting... So all in all not a very good visit this time. By my calculations if I'm paying for Hygienist 20 minutes & Dentist 10 minutes and they're both taking 1/2 this time then: 1. Either I'm due another 10 minute Hygienist appointment and another 5 minute Dentist appointment for free or 2. Damira need to only charge me for a 10 minute Hygienist appointment and a 5 minute Dentist appointment going forwards.

Negative experience: Took 3 visits to get my crown right and find something wrong with my teeth each time I visit. The latest visit half way through re-filling a previous filling my dentist tells me he shouldn't be doing it. He stated I should have a crown. So not only charging me for a filling he recommended now wants to replace it with a crown. They are always overrunning too.30 mins late for a 9 20am appointment is not acceptable. Would not recommend

Fantastic experience: I have been registered with Damira for a number of years. They have always been very efficient, even throughout the pandemic, but the service I have received in recent times has been exceptional. I have received fast appointment times when trying to access emergency care, and have had appointments regularly for routine care. The reception staff are efficient and polite. The clinical staff are warm and friendly. Despite the dentist being nobody’s favourite place to go, I felt totally at ease and listened to by the dentist and dental nurse supporting him. Fantastic experience: My daughter had an appointment with Dr. Abdullah Alzaki and we are very pleased. The doctor had an excellent approach to children — my daughter was more afraid of the injection than the drilling itself. The dentist suggested that if the pain became unbearable, he would then administer the anesthesia. This made my daughter feel calmer and more secure. Very professional approach to young patients – I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My experience has always been good but recently it has been excellent following a wisdom tooth extraction. Abdullah Alzaki was excellent in his clinical procedure, administering enough anaesthetic to relieve all sensation of pain without the usual rubber faced, dribbling experience historically received at other practices. Negative experience: Previously I have been satisfied with my treatment at my previous surgery at Oxford Brooks university and my current surgery here in Bicester. I’m having a denture made but the fitting has been problematic. Impressions have been made but the subsequent fitting have found to be very uncomfortable and the process is continuing. Numerous adjustments were made to affect the fitting by drilling the denture by the dentist. At times I had difficulty with the dentist’s vocabulary and accent this problem is partly my difficulty as well the dentist’s.

Negative experience: I haven’t had great experience with them.. I’m autistic. I get really anxious about dental environment. It ok for their staff to be 20/30mins late but when you miss an appointment for circumstances that can’t be helped, they rapidly eager to kick you off the NHS List. I ended up paying £60 for private emergency appointment as currently experiencing tooth infection swelling to the face, but I can’t afford to pay that due to personal financial circumstances. The times I’ve gone to this place they haven’t made me feel comfortable. However, it is in town centre easy to find , all on one level for disabled and elderly. So that’s good. But I personally don’t recommend this place.

Due to the increased demand for NHS appointments, patients who have not attended the practice for their regular dental examination for 2 consecutive years may not be able to access our services under the National Health and will be classified as new patients. Reminders are sent out to patients to encourage them to book in for the routine appointments.

Negative experience: My son had his very 1st dental appointment yesterday and I wasn’t happy with the man my son had seen , 1st being 2 years old it’s quite intimidating and then Abdel led the chair down to which scared my son and then he didn’t want to sit in the SPECIAL chair , I myself had tried to calm him down and sit with him and encourage him for my son to be then told he hasn’t got all day to in the room because other patients needs to be seen and I tried to explain it’s his very 1st time here and wasn’t confident which was a concern for myself in the 1st place. But for a 2year old to be spoken to like that was unnecessary and unprofessional.! I would like to change his current dentist to a different one please that has more patience and understanding when it comes to small children. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous about having two teeth out on Friday but my dentist Abdul was brilliant and it is so nice not having to drink through a straw so as not to let hot or cold drinks touch my teeth, and because he took my teeth out with ease, I am now confident to have the rest of my treatment, so a big thank you Abdul also the practice has considered disabled patients with a large waiting area so disability scooters can be driven inside with ease and that means alot because there is not a dentist in town that has disability access if I could give more stars i would.

Negative experience: Our youngest is scared of dentists, so we specifically booked to see Agata. When we arrived for our appointment we had been moved to Abdel without having been told at any point. He was fine but not particularly patient, and our youngest is even more terrified now. Customer service from reception staff is terrible but the dentists themselves are good

Negative experience: The receptionist was lovely and super helpful. The male dentist with glasses, made me feel very judged. He didn’t seem to have any understanding on why certain things lead to what my problems are. I tried to explain. He didn’t care. & I just thought he was very unprofessional and even with my daughter he made comments like “your six not four”, she has many difficulties and was very anxious. She is 6. Again, not professional.

Negative experience: My partner and our 3 children have had 5 cancelled appointments now since October 2024, with various reasons given which is incredibly frustrating. They were signed up with the practice early 2024, and still waiting to be seen. This is their initial appointment also. The receptionists are very nice and understanding on the phone, however it's not them making the decisions for cancellation. A truly poor service from Damira Dental. It appears even trying to get an initial appointment for my children who need to be seen seem to be too hard to organise. Farcical really. Doesn't seem to look after NHS patients as well as we were led to believe. Find somewhere else if you want a stress free experience.

Negative experience: I booked an half hour hygienist appointment at the dentist ‘s recommendation at 12:30. I waited until 12:45 to be seen. The hygienist finished my teeth by 13:00. The polish was very rushed where my lips were polished along with my teeth. I was severely disappointed with this appointment as my experience with Damira has been very satisfactory up to this point.

Fantastic experience: I'm really pleased with my NHS dentist and hygienist. The dentist, Abdel Haija, is really skilful. He replaced a filling without needing to use any injection and I didn't feel any pain or discomfort. I also like being able to schedule my dental check-ups and hygienist appointments one after each other, which the reception are usually able to accommodate.

Negative experience: Sadly, another visit to the the dentist where we waited 25 minutes after our appointment before being seen. I asked upon arriving if there were delays to be told no. The appointment was for my daughter and I was keen to get her back to school (30 mins drive away). The dentists themselves are nice. But time keeping is not their strong point. A previous appointment I was poorly in the morning but showed up with my kids. After explaining I wasn't feeling well I was told I couldn't cancel without a mark against my name. So I said that's OK I'm happy to be seen if the dentist is OK with it. I was then told the dentist didn't want to catch a cold so didn't want to see me and yet I still had a Mark put against my name! Found this completely unfair to have a mark against my name if the dentist choose not to see me. I was there, I was OK to be seen if they were OK to see me.

Negative experience: I booked an appointment and unfortunately could not make it but I had already paid so I call up and tell them " sorry I can't make it can I rebook I had something come up" the man on the phone who was rude and also sounded like he was half asleep said, "no your going to have to rebook on the website again and pay again". I think this is totally unfair I have been calling 111 for ages about a wisdom tooth and they tell me to come here and then I can't even get service and I have lost out on money.

Positive experience: Greet by receptionist by asking you to pay for your cheek up before you actually go in to see the Dentist is not something you expect you don't normally pay for a service until you have had it!!! When having a check up it should be automatic that you are given a scale and polish which is included in the cost of the check up.

Although a scale and polish service is included under NHS Band 1, it is only provided if it is clinically required. Sometimes patients do not meet the criteria during their examination. In some cases, the dentist may feel a clean would be beneficial rather than compulsory. This is when they would advise a separate hygiene appointment with our hygienist.
Our payment in advance policy requires all patients to pay the full amount or a percentage at the time of booking the appointment. Demand for appointments is very high so we follow this policy to prevent failure to attend. It promotes patients to inform us when they need to cancel so their appointment time can be used to see another patient in need of dental care.

Fantastic experience: I've only just moved to this practice, and needed a loose back double tooth extraction. Abdullah was great, I was very nervous but he was kind, patient and gentle - what could have been a horrible experience was absolutely fine. And my severe toothache is now gone together with the tooth! His young lady assistant was also lovely.
