Fantastic experience: I recently completed my Invisalign journey at Smil, starting in September where I had a treatment plan picked that worked best for me and my history of gum issues. My health was always put first in all decisions made. Started wearing my aligns in October and finished 20 trays by mid May of this year. The process is seamless and simply amazing, with reassuring regular check up appointments. I then finished my journey with whitening, composite bonding on four teeth, and some reshaping of two other teeth - this gave me my finished smile and I cannot be happier. Fantastic experience: For a very long time i was unhappy with my smile, avoiding photos and smiling with my mouth closed if I did take any, from the first visit at smil they have always been very relaxed and comforting with me as a scared patient, I was originally looking to go to Turkey to get my teeth done and smil made it so easy to do it right here in the uk, the team are unbelievable and made me feel so comfortable, where my surgery was concerned it was as a day in the chair could be expected but the support throughout the day was unrivaled, I now have a smile that I can be proud of and I couldn't be more grateful

Negative experience: I decided to give Smil a try based on their good reviews and went for a scale and polish. Despite explaining my sensitivity, the treatment was very rough. I won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend them for this kind of treatment.

Fantastic experience: I first visited Smil late last year, what teeth I had left were dreadful and embarrassing to say the least. I first saw a lovely dentist named Neil, who examined me and told me that the only way forward would be implants top and bottom. I cried, I know silly aye. Anyway I had the wait to meet with the implantologist Abbie. To be honest I was dreading it. But do you know he was so lovely and extremely gentle, putting me at ease. Abbie explained absolutely everything what was going to happen. My first surgery was booked for March this year. I was scared! I was so worried that I’d be in so much pain during and mainly afterwards too. But I had absolutely no pain or problems at all. Abbie was so amazingly patient and the two girlies Libby and Amber were absolutely incredible. They bought me a drink (a meal drink) as I couldn’t eat! I had to have a straw and sounded awful when sucking up the drink. Anyway I spent a whole day there I and I’m sure Abbie, Libby and Amber were shattered. Everyone looked after me so well, phoning my husband for the next few days just to ask how I was. Bless them all, anyway I have my first temporary teeth and they look amazing. I go back in August I think for the progression for my final teeth. I cannot recommend these guys enough. Thank you to all of you and not forgetting Elle the lovely young lady on reception. You’re all absolute stars ✨ (I’m so embarrassed by my photos but hey, if they help others then it’s ok) ♥️

Fantastic experience: Went for a consultation with Neil to discuss fixing some cracked composite bonding I had. He managed to polish out the issues I had with a couple of teeth, saving me hundreds of pounds! Having been unable to sleep I emailed my request at 3.00 am received a reply at 6.00 am and was phoned at 8.00am for an appointment at 10.30am . Excellent, and at a good price ! Fantastic experience: An amazing experience at Smil Dental. Neil managed to fit me in last minute to solve an infected wisdom tooth before Christmas and have since had a more general dental check up & hygienist. Having had my fair share of dental work over the years, I can say that this is by far the best clinic I have ever been to. The technology they use to visualise your teeth in 3D, allows you to actually see and understand what they’re talking about when recommending any treatment. 10/10 service and highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Thank you to Neil and team at Smil for the care given and for fixing my extremely crooked teeth. Always a dream to have tidy teeth but due to being tiny with large teeth I thought I’d always be saddled with hidden, wonky, crooked teeth. Then to make things worse a wisdom tooth appeared so far back in my jaw there was no way I was going to allow that to be removed due to being apprehensive at the dentist. I made the decision to soldier on and try and keep my teeth as clean as I can, put up with my lot and just have a good side. Neil suggested Invisalign to help with this and widen my smile. As Neil hasn’t been the first to suggest this and as my son had Invisalign I went for it! I was advised no teeth would be removed but it will take time as my case was complex. It took 18 months and I’m in my late 50’s but I’m so glad I did brave it and get it done! I cannot thank you at Smil enough for the care, support, reassurance and above all giving me a smile. Fantastic experience: I am not someone to write an open review but I recently visited Smïl and the dental clinic is truly a hidden gem in Chatham. I was beyond impressed with the level of professionalism and care I received from the dentist and his nurse. Dr Neil was exceptionally outstanding. The treatment was so precise and seamless that I felt no signs or symptoms from the tooth I had been suffering with for months. It’s as if the filling isn’t even there! Needless to say that the rest of the staff at the clinic were incredibly friendly, welcoming. The clinic itself is spotless, with state-of-the-art facilities, and their communication in between appointments is outstanding. Fantastic experience: I came to Smil as a nervous patient who hadn’t been to the dentist for over 12 years. I had a check up at first where they scanned my teeth and explained I’d need a filling! They were able to fit me in the following morning and Dr Neil was amazing and put me at complete ease! It was pain free and I am now hoping to start Invisalign

Fantastic experience: I recently completed Invisalign treatment with Dr. Neil, followed by composite bonding, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! It took me around two years to work up the courage to start, as I was worried about the commitment—thinking I’d need numerous appointments to straighten my teeth and concerned about wearing retainers 24 hours a day for at least six months. Now, I wish I’d done it years ago! I’ve disliked my teeth for over 20 years, but the process turned out to be much simpler than I imagined. Adjusting my routine slightly was well worth it. Most of the Invisalign treatment is managed via an app, and I only needed three appointments over six months. As for the composite bonding, it wasn’t nearly as intimidating as I expected. In just three hours, my teeth were completely transformed! I highly recommend Smil and Dr. Neil. If you’ve been considering treatment and want a beautiful smile, this is definitely the place to go.

Fantastic experience: I have just had my treatment finished with Dr Underhil and I am so over the moon with the results. After my Invisalign’s & whitening, we only needed 3 teeth bonded. I also went for the fixed retainer. They look absolutely incredible! I am so happy. I also bought my daughter in for a checkup -she is Autistic, and I really needed for her to have her teeth checked over as I was doubtful on her dentists judgment. Fantastic experience: A great big thank you to Marcela Neil and the team who were involved in my treatment I was a nervous terrified wreck when I first went to Smil I had bleeding gums moving teeth they looked terrible. They recommended going to the gum clinic in Maidstone for treatment which was the start of my journey, a few sessions my gums stopped bleeding and teeth were not moving. Went back to Neil and he has transformed my front teeth at last I can smile again which I have not done in at least twenty years. I am not scared anymore infact I can see Marcela the hygienist and Neil the dentist on the same day without shaking I would highly recommend this Dentist practice everyone is so friendly and very reassuring.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had Invisalign, whitening and composite bonding done with Neil @ Smïl and I’m extremely happy with the final results. Neil was always honest, never pushy, gave me all of my options and explained the pros and cons of everything. I was able to make my own decision on treatment with all of the facts. I also like the fact that Smïl offer the membership plan which I find the easiest way to pay for my regular dental treatments. The staff are always genuinely friendly and accommodating too.

Negative experience: Absolutely a rubbish experience! Neil (thr dentist) was horrible in terms of my teeth! I know they are in good condition. He kept on selling me products with a link with a Maidstone clinic rather that advising me about how to take care of my teeth. Within 5minutes of consultation it was all talk about money! I only went there for teeth whitening. Don't be fooled by the exterior!

However, with my wedding coming up, I knew it’d be wise to go to the dentist in spite of my fears, just to check everything was okay. I found Smil online and seeing it was fairly local to me, I decided to book in with them. When I arrived, it was totally spotless and the reception staff were so friendly and could not do enough for me. Dr Neil Underhill was so professional and friendly and kept me calm through the entire check up. He even took the time to explain every single thing he would be doing before doing it. Unfortunately, it was discovered I would need root canal which really put the fear of God in me, but again, he remained calm and talked me through everything. Fast forward to now and the root canal is done (done by KentEndo who come into Smil to perform this - they were also amazing!) my crown has been put in by Neil himself and my fear of the dentist has now gone! Thank you so much to the team at Smil for restoring my faith in dentists! You’re all superstars!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely cannot recommend SMIL Dental Clinic at Dockside, Chatham highly enough. I have overcome a massive dentist phobia & with a lot of advice, help & patience from the team below. I have, for the last 13 months been having treatment. I have finally completed my plan which included a 6 hour, 4 implant surgery with bone grafting, recovery, a tooth removed & 2 veneers fitted. I have also seen the amazing hygienist & had checkups inbetween all of my procedures. I still can’t quite believe it but with all the support, kindness & professionalism they have helped me through this much needed & longed for procedure. Fantastic experience: I transferred to Smil a while ago from an NHS Dentist. Unfortunaltey I need a root canal and crown - just about everybody's worst nightmare. Smil work in Partnership with Kentendo and a lady call Tulsi Patel completed the root canal. I was told it would be about an hour and it was. Only discomfort was from the injection, then after that, no pain or discomfort. She appeared to be using the very best equipment and was reassuring throughout the whole procedure - thank you. The Team at Smil are fantastic - special thanks to my Dentist Neil Underhill and my Hygienist Marcela Basford. Fantastic experience: Just finished with an absolute 6 STAR experience at Smïl, Dockside Outlet. It all starts with the incredibly customer centric engagement from Elle, their wonderful practice administrator. Her constant feedback, communication and willingness to help have been so welcoming. I was treated by Marcela Basford, the Oral Hygienist, a true professional and one of the finest I have been to. Fantastic experience: I had been considering getting my teeth straightened for a while but when I had my 60th Birthday celebrations and saw the photos of myself and my smile I hated it. The final push to look into invisiligners was my 5 year old grandson saying ‘Nanny why are your teeth not straight and a funny colour’ That very day I went home and searched online and Dr Neil Underhill at Smil came up and as Dr. Neil had been my dentist for many years before he left the practice I had no hesitation in ringing Smil for a consultation as I knew I would be in safe hands. I was very nervous on the day of my appointment but I didn’t need to worry as from the moment I walked through the door the staff were so friendly they put me at ease and my nerves soon went. The whole process of what was going to happen was explained in detail and any doubts or questions I had were all answered and no pressure was put on myself to continue with the treatment. My first invisiligners started in February 2023 they were changed every 10 days at first then every 7 days after about 6 months, in total I had 30 sets of invisiligners. I started to see a difference in my teeth in just a couple of months and where I thought I would be in constant pain there was only an aching for a couple of days after the new invisiligners went in. During treatment and included in the price I began the whitening treatment which got rid of the yellowing on my teeth. On Valentines Day this year I had my final invisiligners removed I decided to have composite treatment on my two front teeth as one of the teeth was shorter than the other one where it had been ground down over the years where my teeth were crooked. After the composite treatment I was taken to the mirror to see the results and I was absolutely blown away by the transformation. Valentines Day 2024 I got my smile back and haven’t stopped smiling since. The compliments from my friends and family have been amazing and my grandson has said ‘Nanny you have got nice teeth like mine now ’ I would 100% recommend Dr. Neil Underhill and all the staff at Smil as they were all very friendly, welcoming and supportive and were always at the end of the phone if I had any questions

Fantastic experience: I came to Smil in April 23, my confidence was low and I felt like I couldn’t smile in pictures. I was very self conscious of my crooked teeth and was very anxious. I had a consultation with Dr Neil after a recommendation and cried at my first appointment telling him how much getting this done would mean to me and how much I would love to have a perfect smile for my wedding day. The process was easy and they was kind, understanding and empathetic. I’ve now finished my treatment and I cannot thank them enough on how much they have helped me. Fantastic experience: I had a terrible experience with another dentist with my composite bonding and I honestly couldn’t go out to work or the house they were awful best way to explain is I looked like I had two tic tac teeth and was recommended Smil by a friend and was seen asap and was instantly at ease with all the staff, my teeth were sorted asap and now can’t stop smiling won’t be going back to the old dentist. Fantastic experience: I joined Smil one year ago in the hopes of creating my Invisalign journey. I had been to various dentist surgeries prior to Smil and was disappointed with the upselling tactics used; one surgery stating I needed a full set of veneers to achieve my dream smile. I eventually found Smil after a friend recommendation and the experience was completely different! The staff were friendly and truthful throughout, and not once did they try to upsell me an overally expensive product I did not need.
