It's now August 2025. It's still August 2025. Today it was the hygienist's turn to sort me out - brilliant!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing place! I came here for a check up 1.8.25 to have a second opinion on my painful tooth. The receptionists were amazing, kind and very welcoming. I visited Raluca who was absolutely amazing, ive never felt so comfortable at the dentist, ever! She was very gentle and explained everything to me throughout and after. She helped fix my fillings from my previous dentist (lupin & a) who left my without a level bite. If I could give a better that 5☆ review, I would! Thank you very much ladies!! :)

Negative experience: Arrived at 8.20 for my 8.30 appointment and waited 20mim to be seen.was in for 10mins ,my teeth were not checked properly had an exray and told nothing serious ,very rushed and unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Excellent Dentist and Hygienist. Very considerate with nervous patients and good 'bedside manner'. Been with them as a private patient for at least a couple of years now. Very happy with their service. Bit expensive, but that's the Government's fault for letting NHS Dentistry get into such a sad state. Very efficient with reminders for check-ups, appointments etc. Always explain treatments very clearly and fully. No complaints at all. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Timea is a superb hygienist. She is professional, approachable and puts you at your ease. She takes the time to explain what and why she is doing certain things and always offers advice to maintain mouth health between visits.

Positive experience: Today was our first appointments for check ups. The receptionists were welcoming and friendly. The waiting room was clean and airy on a very hot day. The dentist was very friendly and we didn't feel rushed. A thorough examination was given and we were given advice about dental hygiene.

Positive experience: I always have a good experience at Oradent City Way, My dentist Raluca is friendly, straight forward and always explains treatment. Reception staff are helpful and send appointment reminders, the practice is clean although the waiting room could do with updating.

Fantastic experience: As a family we have been going to City Way Dentist since 2003. We have enjoyed excellent care over the years. A dentist I highly recommend is Dr E O'Caroll who is an excellent dentist. He is calm, kind compassionate and ethical when it comes to decisions around treatment and dental care. He would never suggest treatment you do not want or do not need. The supporting teams are efficient and polite. Well done to you all.

Fantastic experience: My treatment was to have new upper and lower dentures which involved the removal of a baby tooth. Raluca was extremely patient with me as I was critical at times particularly about the lower denture. However she listened to me and made every effort to get the fit correct.

Fantastic experience: I had toothache all weekend and called early Monday morning to see if they could fit me in...there was nothing available but the receptionist said she would call me if that had a cancellation she even called me at about midday just to tell me she was still trying...I wasn't hopeful but then she called again with an appointment at 3pm!!! Happy days. I did thank her when I left but I don't remember her name. She was so friendly and helpful and really helped me out when I was in agony. Thanks again

She was exceptionally professional, friendly, and made me feel completely at ease from the moment I walked in. What stood out most was how she went above and beyond—taking extra care to ensure I was comfortable throughout the procedure and explaining everything clearly. Her attention to detail and reassuring approach truly made a difference. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate dentist!

Negative experience: I was not happy with my experience. They quoted me a reasonable price on the phone then upscaled that price to a much higher one after the appointment despite it being the same work quoted both times. When I asked the dentist about this and told them to exclude certain parts of the treatment I don’t currently need I wasn’t listened to, much like the rest of the time I was in there and was treated very poorly. Overall I was not listened to, I was ignored and the dentist was rude and condescending towards the end of the appointment. I would not recommend and will not be going back, a waste of time and money.

Negative experience: The dentist was rude and didn’t listen to anything I asked her! I will never return to this dentist and will tell friends and family to stay away! Receptionist was very nice on the phone when booking the appointment but when arriving to my appointment the dentist was rude, patronising and unprofessional! If I could rate this place 0 I would !

Fantastic experience: Have been with this practice several years now, as an NHS patient.Happy to say that the treatment received has been consistently excellent. All options of treatment are always explained. Never have to wait long to be seen when I arrive for my appointment. A big thanks to Eoin and all the team! Update: once again, excellent service from this dental practice. Given the very high demand for appointments, was pleasantly surprised that I could have a follow up within two weeks.

Fantastic experience: Monday 9th June 2025. I visited the dentist with my daughter for our routinely check up today. The minute we walked through the door, we were greeted with a warm smile and the receptionist knew who we were. Having only just taken our seats we were collected by Scarlett (the dental nurse) Victoria was her usual cheerful self and took the time to ask about our welfare, remembering that I had had a tooth extraction. Victoria is very knowledgeable and supportive . Our check ups were fine and as always it is a pleasure to have such first class service. Rich Spackman Further to my earlier review, I wanted to state the quality of service that this dental practice offers. I had the unfortunate occurrence where I had severe tooth ache. I phoned the practice on Friday and I was offered an appointment today. I was seen and treated by Victoria and her dental nurse Katie. Both provide excellent and reassuring care. As I said in my last review these two members of staff go out of their way. What makes them even more amazing and special is that they have a genuine interest in all members of the family. Further to these members of staff, I cannot praise the reception staff that are welcoming and helpful. I strongly recommend this practice. Richard Spackman Previous review. Positive experience: 20th May 25-not so good this time around. Despite an early appointment I still had to wait 20mins. Unable to make payment on the day due to issue with payment system, which has happened before (this took 10mins after check up with no luck). Also it was suggested that I had an outstanding payment from 2023 which seems to pop up when I visit, very frustrating and not valid.. This also happens to my daughter. Overall very friendly and professional staff though. -—— November 24- Visited again today for a follow up and all of the points below remain, overall Raluca, nurse were as always fantastic and receptionists were great as well. I have updated this post to 5* as every time I call now someone picks up, great service and I had an issue that needed sorting quicker and I was rang to be told about an emergency appointment that became available, thank you. —————- The receptionists and dentist are aways friendly. Raluca has been my dentist for a while now and she is excellent, very attentive and friendly, the nurses are very caring as well. I would go for 5* but if you need to call the dentist I normally can’t get through which is frustrating. Thanks everyone

Fantastic experience: My family and I are very fortunate to have been with this surgery for well over 20 years. They are unfailingly friendly and helpful and I have rarely ever waited more than a few minutes beyond my appointment times. Both our dentist Eoin and my hygienist Lucia are first class and we could not be happier. My son has used the whitening treatments with superb results and we have also used the emergency services on occasion. Couldn't be happier and we will hopefully never have to source an alternative team as I cannot see how they could be improved.

Fantastic experience: A lovely dental practice that I have attended for years. Stephanie is a brilliant hygienist who always makes me feel calm and well looked after. Eoin the dentist also exudes a pleasant aura and is very gentle and helpful. The support staff are polite and professional and are always happy to accomodate me if I need to change my appointments or book both the hygienist and the dentist on the same day.

Negative experience: Sorry to say a very poor experience , although the dentist was quite helpful, and tried their best. Unfortunately the denture still does not fit correctly and I can not eat with them in as it causes pain , I am going back in a couple of weeks to see what they can do again , But I feel that the treatment I have had so far was a waist of over £300.00 .

Fantastic experience: I today started my latest dental treatment with a Root canal treatment. I was in the chair for an hour and the treatment I received was incredibly thorough, and professional. At no time was I put under any strain even though the work undertaken was difficult and potentially stressful for me , as the patient and I’m sure also for the Surgeon. She was Very gentle, kind and took time to make me comfortable over a lengthy and difficult period. My sincere thanks I give both to her and her nurse for all their efforts and giving me a settled mind set for the completion of the necessary work to complete this part of my treatment in a few weeks time.

Fantastic experience: 4th april 2025 Had the starting of an infection/abscess on thursday ,so rang the dentist. No immediate appointments but the receptionist rang me back with a cancelation for the friday (brilliant)with my dentist Raluca. As usual very thorough check by Raluca and left with a prescription for anti biotics and a game plan for fixing the issue once the infection has gone. Again great service and very pleased with Raluca for being thorough ,explaining my options and her friendly caring nature. attended 23rd jan 2025 for routine check up ,the reception staff were as usual very welcoming . Raluca as usual is friendly along with her assistant. Raluca did a very thorough check up and all was well. since seeing Raluca due to her skills and the advice she has given me i have had no problems with my teeth, long may it continue. had to attend on an urgent basis on the 9th may ,appointment the same day as ringing .as usual reception very welcoming and was able to see Raluca ,who was as usual very friendly and professional and sorted my problem out and then saw me a week later on a pop in to make sure all was okay. great service and a great dentist .very happy with all of it. Raluca as usual is friendly and professional and ensures that you are happy with the treatment, along with her assistant and reception a pleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: Excellent in every aspect: efficient pleasant reception, thorough expertise provided by hygienist (TIMEA) and dentist (RALUCA) well supported by knowledgeable dental nurses. Visits over years -(including April 4- 2025) confirm maintenance of empathic excellence.

Fantastic experience: As a VERY nervous patient, I was treated with care and compassion. My treatment was gentle but very effective, and I am now happy to return regularly for further check ups or treatment. I'm still nervous but definitely much less so and I'm hoping that improves with such care and understanding

Fantastic experience: I had a hygienist appointment and a check up today and I had some terrible plaque build up, I was actually ashamed how bad I had let it get. On top of this I absolutely hate the dentist. Scarlett and the Hygienist who’s name I didn’t grab were fabulous putting me at ease, checking if I was comfortable throughout and giving me solid dental hygiene advice without once ever making me feel judged. I followed this up with a check up from Eoghan who was efficient and set up a referral for some other work I need with the minimum of fuss. He answered my questions and left me feeling informed about the choices I could make to get the mouth I desperately want over the coming months. The receptionists both created a welcoming atmosphere which again helped ease my anxiety and prevented me from wanting to not face my dental fears. Overall a fab team. Thank you all.

Negative experience: 3 appointments in a row cancelled now. I pay a membership fee and cannot get the treatment that I am paying for. I have a filling that needs replacing. Have tried to call, email and left voice messages to cancel my membership - to no avail! Awful!

Fantastic experience: My son broke his front teeth and had them repaired at Oradent, City Way, the results were brilliant. I hadn’t been to the dentist for years so whilst there with my son I booked an appointment. The practice is friendly and helpful, I had a filling replaced, clean and decided to correct my deep bite and crocked teeth with Invisalign. My dentist, Maria, looked after me through the whole process which took just under a year, explaining everything at each step and making sure it all went to plan. Invisalign is a really good way of straightening teeth without interfering with your life too much and I am really pleased with the results. I have also seen the hygienist at City Way who again was very thorough and it is definitely worth doing. I recommend the City Way team and Maria for the best care in a pleasant, friendly environment.

Fantastic experience: My 1st appointment here, having stayed with my previous dentist (2 hours away) after moving here 10 yrs ago! (as was too scared to move to another practice)! Needn’t have worried, very friendly practice.

Fantastic experience: We as a Family have been using this practice for longer than i care to think about, but, as of late i have been having private care via Kash, what a guy, always greets with a smile, explains what he is and will be doing, makes you feel comfortable as well, a guy that takes pride in his work, second to none. Negative experience: Awful staff and tried to scam me to pay upfront for a treatment I hadn't even had.Tried to book in for Invisalign after seeing the constant advertising and instead asked for multiple personal details over the phone including credit card details and then told me the person who needed to book it in had left a day before. Sara (receptionist) laughing to other staff members because I refused to disclose my full name. Very unprofessional and rude.

Negative experience: Oradent are atrocious. They moved me across from NHS to Private without adequate notification. They also overcharged me yesterday - for an x-ray I didn't have! Have tried to contact them on numerous occasions in the past, but never get response. Only thing that gets response is if I put 'Complaint' in the subject field! Am currently compiling details to raise formal complaint to Head Office. I called to book NHS checkup mid November only to be told I'd already been moved to Private system (they weren't supposed to do this til end November). Earliest Private checkup they could offer was mid February?? They also have contacted me to say I owe them £10 but I can't see how as I pay on the way out! When I've asked for further information they've never responded. On another occasion when they did try to contact me I had to reject the call because I was in an important meeting - but they persisted another 3-4 times immediately after was very disruptive! The actual person I see is brilliant though.

Fantastic experience: Dr Maria Mak and her assistant, Katie were both brilliant in replacing my old crown and having a cavity infilled. I felt very well looked after and I knew I was in safe hands as Dr Mak was friendly, steady, calm and efficient with the treatment whilst her assistant was equally nice, professional and calm. I have a fear of anything dentistry but he has managed to get me back for regular treatment and check ups with minimal anxiety. Everyone at the clinic are kind and helpful. Fantastic experience: Saw Eioin for my dental check up, brilliant as usual and very thorough. Saw Lucy for my hygienist appointment and she is the best hygienist I've ever had. She's very gentle and explains everything. She goes to great lengths to explain everything and gives great advice.

Negative experience: Be careful they will suddenly call you and say you owe them money from 6 months ago. Even though you have been there few time after they never asked for it. Will blame receptionist and say they ( receptionist) don’t work there anymore.

Fantastic experience: I can't remember the name of my dentist which is really unfortunate because she along with her assistant were amazing but i was to anxious to take anything in at this point, I'm not a fan of the dentist and really don't like going but a tooth had to come out, they were so polite so careful and very patient making sure I was happy all the way through my treatment,highly recommend as they have made me a lot more confident about going in the future, also the receptionists are very polite and helpful Thanks see you in 3 months

Fantastic experience: Our/my dentist is Eoin O'Carroll and has been for many years. Now in my 60's, I have to say I have never had a better dentist. He is always gentle and never hurts and explains everything. On top of being a great dentist, he remembers us and always shows an interest in our lives. Not an easy thing when dealing with so many patients. We are lucky that we are NHS patients and I count ourselves extremely lucky to have him as our dentist.
