Fantastic experience: I had to have a mollar capped. All the staff I dealt with were marvellous and although, for various reasons, I was at times a pain in the neck they never made me feel it. The treatment was brilliant, and everything (including risks) was carefully explained beforehand so that I could make decisions knowing all the implications.

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to expand on my review from a few months ago. I was a very nervous patient, with a lot of work required and previous dentists had put me off by spending more time telling me off than coming up with a plan for treatment. From the very first session with Daniel, i've felt calm, and reassured about every part of the treatment. There hasn't been a moment of pain or even discomfort. I wish I'd known dentists could be like this years ago. I've since almost completed my treatment, which has involved a lot of extractions, implants being put into my jaw, and dentures being produced and I'm very happy with the results. I had an emergency appointment to have one tooth extracted early due to it becoming very painful - it was due to come out a couple of weeks later too, but they were able to squeeze me in over a lunchtime and it was included in the cost of the work I'd already paid which was a huge relief (though it was so painful, I'd have paid double just to have it done).

I want to thank the practice for the last two years, especially Nici, as without her guidance and patience, I wouldn’t have overcome my anxiety surrounding the dentist. Fantastic experience: A very professional regular clean from hygienist Kazia, in this very well managed dental practice. And the dentist Jack McSweeney, one of a team of dentists, is both skilled and knowledgeable and has an excellent manner.

Fantastic experience: As always I experienced a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Daniel saw me as as an urgent appointment. He explained everything clearly and always takes into account how nervous I am. He has restored my confidence in dentistry but really only if I see him. I travel 2 hours to see him which confirms my trust in what he advises. Everyone at the practice is friendly and understanding of how some patients have been traumatised by previous experiences at our practices and by the NHS when children.

Fantastic experience: Service with a smile. The Receptionists are very helpful, any questions they will endeavour to answer. Always accommodating with appointments. You feel in safe hands and listened to by the dentists and hygiene team. I have been with this practice for around 20 years or more and even though I have moved out of the area I still attend this practice and so do my parents. Connor is a great Hygienist, informative and attentive.

Negative experience: Good dentists but extremely strict cancellation policy. I arrived at the dentist 10 minutes late due to a bus breaking down in front of me. Not only was my appointment cancelled in my arrive but I wasn’t offered a refund or alternative appointment. Really poor customer service so would not recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: Went in this morning for my crown fitting . I chose the all in at one visit treatment which is expensive but gets it all done . Lucy my dentist was professional and good humoured and took me through the whole process . Her assistant ( forget her name ) was equally great . Fascinating to see the crown actually being made in front of me . The whole procedure took an hour and a half .

Fantastic experience: When I first went to Half Moon Dentists three years ago, I was petrified. My experience of the pain inflicted by NHS dentists in the 80s was still raw and I wouldn't have gone, but I had a broken tooth. Nici was wonderful, patient, kind and calming. I had three crowns fitted with no pain whatsover. It is well worth signing up to the annual dental plan. You get a dental check up and a hygienist visit every six months. I went back for my six month check up yesterday and was told my teeth and gums are all looking really good. It is such a relief to no longer worry about my teeth and gums.

Fantastic experience: I have been a client of the Half Moon dental Centre for approximately 12 years. My children have also utilised the practice. I have complex dental issues and problems with bruxing, as a result, I have had crowns fracture and now have gold onlays. I have had root canal treatment and also a titanium implant a few years ago. The procedures have always gone well and I’ve been extremely well looked after. They also offer cosmetic services, including Invisalign, I’m about to embark upon zirconium ceramic reconstruction treatment for worn down teeth. The practice has also offered excellent emergency service when issues have become more urgent.I cannot recommend Daniel, Nici and their team enough. Their practice is one of the best equipped in London with facility to make crowns onsite, implant surgery and excellent diagnostic facility’s including OPG….. 5 stars from me

Negative experience: Negligent behaviour by every single person here. I was 11 minutes late to my appointment because of heavy rain and traffic which was completely out of my control. I ran through Brockwell Park for 10 minutes in the heavy rain to get to my appointment and when I arrived was refused my appointment, despite being charged in full and having over half of my time remaining. I have literally sat in the waiting room here for 20+ minutes in the past with no complaint because of appointments running over, and then when I am late myself because of circumstances out of my control, the dentist would not even spend the remainder of my appointment treating me, despite the fact I was being charged in full. In fact, he literally said, in the most unbelievably rude and dismissive manner, ‘you can sit here for the next 20 minutes but I’m not treating you’. I don’t understand how it can be one thing for the customer and another for the dentist. Why should I have to wait as long as they tell me, yet I cannot even get seen for the appointment time that I have paid in full for. I still had 20 minutes remaining and was refused. He then said ‘if we run late then I have to work late’ - which most people do every single day of their lives. I wasn’t asking to be seen 30 minutes after the appointment time, it was 11 minutes and I would have booked a follow up appointment. I wasn’t even asking him to run over, I just wanted to be seen for the remainder of the time I had left to make something of the minutes I was being charged for. The reception and dental staff here are incredibly rude and to be honest don’t even do a good job. I would AVOID if you want to be treated like a human being rather than a piece of dirt on the bottom of their shoe. I would give ZERO if it was an option.

Fantastic experience: My visits to this dental centre have been transformative concerning my gum health. I saw Dr Claudia Brown, who over six months has restored my gum health. It is like a miracle! Thank you Dr Brown!

Fantastic experience: After feeling a tooth area was swollen and couldn’t put any pressure on, surgery was phoned and appointment made for next morning. Confirmation tooth needed to be extracted which was done that afternoon. Absolutely delighted done so quickly. Did not feel a thing and now waiting for anaesthetic to wear off. Cannot recommend enough.

Fantastic experience: I had a very painful tooth abscess and the lovely reception staff at Half Moon scheduled me in for an emergency appointment and Nici did a fantastic job at draining the tooth and relieving the pain. She was very caring and very gentle and I felt completely at ease and well looked after. I couldn’t have wished for a nicer dentist to be treated by.

Negative experience: While the team of dentists and hygienists working at Half Moon do their job well, the admin and reception teams are an absolute shambles. I've often found myself completely ignored on arrival, and if there is a problem the response is often unfriendly. The latest issue I've encountered is that I was signed up for the past three years to a more expensive dental plan than was necessary (this was, of course, completely unknown to me). When it became clear last week that there was a problem, the immediate response was to deny the existence of the problem, then suggest that I had signed up for the more expensive plan, despite the evidence that I have never used the number of dentist visits the plan allows. (Further, I was promised that someone would look into this and contact me with an update – never happened.) About to write the owners of the centre an official letter of complaint.

Fantastic experience: Having booked to see the hygienist and then expecting to return three hours later for my dental check up, one of the receptionists managed to ask my dentist if she could see me in her lunch break, so I didn't have return. She said yes. Forever appreciative.

Negative experience: Went here for a checkup, was told I needed 7 fillings. I was doubtful since I take good care of my teeth, went to another dentist and was told that I actually only need 1. Can only assume that they want to fill as many teeth as possible to get the money out of patients, disappointing for a practice that markets itself as friendly and transparent. One of the receptionists is also quite rude and dismissive. Giving 2 stars because I had an efficient and informative hygienist appointment, but I would not go back to this practice.

Fantastic experience: An excellent visit today with Daniel Hopkins. Having lost a lower front filling while on holiday - l made the decision to wait until l return to assess the damage. As an older person l can see the changes in my teeth. Phew, thank heaven's l waited. To be able to discuss with an orthodontics specialist who knows me well & be advised of slow movements and teeth changes.... and importantly affordable options -that do not involve cosmetic changes - was brilliant To cap it all there was no charge to replace the filling as it was less than a year old. Thank you, Daniel - l really thought something expensive was my only option.
