Fantastic experience: I've been suffering from bad bruxism while I sleep. So much so that I cracked a tooth and had to have it extracted due to infection. Having had mouthguards made by other dentists and the clenching at night and facial pain only getting worse - I did research regarding a specialist dentist that could help with bruxism - and that led me to Dr Raza at Thurloe Street in South Kensington. Dr Raza and Karolina provided me with a tanner guard - based upon a scan of my teeth (incredible tech) and then meticulously making sure that the guard was appropriate for my bite. It's too early to say what impact this guard will have on my life, as it will take time to get used to it. But I don't think I could have found anywhere better to work with me to try and solve my bite issues and the bruxism. The care provided by Dr Raza, Karolina, and Saba on reception, is first class and very personalised. Should the guard not be enough to fully stop the facial pain, then bruxism Botox is also an option, as for some people would be making changes to teeth and bite. If you too are researching how to improve your bruxism then I can certainly recommend a visit, as indeed have other reviewers before me.

I must admit that 8 have been postponing the appointment as I was terrified about having pain. However, the experience was actually wonderful! Painless and super gentle. I absolutely come back for further treatment.

I went to Thurloe Street Dental to get 2 teeth removed, feeling anxious and terrified. Fantastic experience: Zara the hygienist was really lovely and walked me through the entire process which was especially nice as it was my first time seeing a hygienist. The Guided biofilm therapy (GBT) felt quite comfortable throughout the process and really effective!

Fantastic experience: I stained my teeth and had black teeth stains using Cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) mouthwash and Zishaan managed to remove the stains using the guided biofilm therapy system. So relieved! Found out they practice more preventative dentistry and don't just drill when you have a hole and check to see how bad it is and monitor it over time, which I love. Everyone is so helpful and friendly I'm happy I managed to get a cancellation! Thank you Zishaan and Saba!

Fantastic experience: Can’t rate the experience highly enough. Had an appointment for dental hygiene treatment (guided film treatment). Zara (hygienist) and Hasani the nurse explained every step and was friendly, professional and meticulous. Result was fantastic and much better than i expected.

Fantastic experience: Zishaan Shafi is by far the best dental hygienist that my wife and I have ever had look after our teeth. Zishaan clearly explains all through the cleaning process of what is happening and why and is very gentle, especially to those who are nervous when going to the dentist and have very sensitive teeth. Zishaan has a wealth of knowledge and experience with the products used and up to date with all the new technology available to his clients. Thank you for looking after our smiles.

Negative experience: My husband and I had bad experiences at Thurloe Street Dental for hygienist treatment which people should bear in mind when choosing a provider… Beware what they charge you. We were not told the price of a treatment that the hygienist added (it took her 30 seconds), and we found out it was 50£ each when settling our bill. Then the cleaning of my teeth was done in 25 minutes and I was charged the price of a 45 minutes treatment. I was ok with that until they told my husband that, as he would need more than 45 minutes, needed to pay for 2 appointments (he was straight after me so they could have used the remaining 20 minutes not used for me). Either they charge for a time or for a treatment, but they shouldn't decide depending how they can charge the most. When we tried to ask them about all this, they tried to hide behind GDPR saying they couldn’t discuss my treatment with my husband, and my husband’s with me; then told us if we were unhappy we could go elsewhere. Which we will, but not before sharing what happened. We had been going there for a decade.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Thurloe Street Dental, particularly for nervous patients and/or patients with dental anxiety or phobia. The practice is professionally run by Saba, who welcomes patients with open arms, and both Dr Raza (Dentist) and Zishaan Shafi (Dental Hygienist/Therapist) are very capable, patient, and considerate.

All the staff & practitioners most caring and excellent at their profession. I have had the Airflow Dental treatment for cleaning & polishing teeth twice, and I am delighted with the results. Teeth are bright & polished, feeling just as clean and fresh for two or three months, much more so than the conventional method to clean & polish. You would also be welcomed with lovely smiles!

Dr Raza is highly experienced, listens to his patient’s wishes, and takes time to explain the various options and courses of action. He fixed some work done by another dentist for me recently, and the process was very considered and smooth. Karolina the assistant is also highly professional, and the two work very well together. Fantastic experience: Professional and friendly from front office to dentist to hygenist. Everyone took their time to answer my questions, worked with a light touch so it wasn't uncomfortable to be at the dentist at all. Dr Raza is unlike any dentist I have been to in the UK, he does not suggest unnecessary cosmetic procedures and with non-cosmetic issues, unless it's something that needs to be dealt with, goes by what you are comfortable to live with. Zishaan and Zara do a brilliant job with dental hygiene, scale and polish, you don't even feel them working on your teeth and the chat was lovely too. Karolina & Saba at the reception are just a delight to talk to, they clearly care about the patients and the practice very much, they go out of their way to accomodate you and make your life easier. I've recommended the practice to everyone I know.

Fantastic experience: My treatment started from Aug 2022, including 12 tooth fillings and 1 decayed wisdom tooth extraction, and I finished all of them today. I also had two hygiene treatments during the period. I am very happy with all the procedures from examination to dental surgery. I did feel any pain even when applying dental local anesthesia, although I am very sensitive to needle. I have not feel any discomfort after each treatment. I am very grateful for all the help from Dr. Raza, Karolina and Saba. They all understand my worries and patiently ease me all the time. I highly recommend the dental service here!

Fantastic experience: Thurloe Dental is a wonderful practice in lovely surroundings. It has a very relaxing atmosphere with friendly staff. Saba and Karolina greet you with warmth and are so helpful! Haider is a fantastic dentist with a gentle and calm demeanour. I’ve had extensive treatment here and I would highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a wisdom tooth extraction performed by Dr. Raza, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Dr. Raza's expertise and gentle approach made the procedure surprisingly comfortable. Karolina, the assistant, was incredibly attentive and helped ease any anxiety I had. The entire team's professionalism and care created a positive experience, and I highly recommend their services.

Fantastic experience: I’ve seen Zishaan for my cleaning regularly, but just had the GBT cleaning, and this cleaning was even more pleasant (which I didn’t think was possible) thanks to that new tech! Zero pain in the usual spots and smile is brighter than ever!

The staff of the clinic, Caroline and Sabah were truly very also helpful , gentle in putting me at ease. The environment of the clinic was relaxing. Fantastic experience: i had the most gentle hygiene visit with Zara the hygienist and nurse Ramona. Guided biofilm therapy was used with warm water. I used to hate the hygienist but now i’m a regular and i love coming!

Fantastic experience: I’m very comfortable that I’ve chosen Thurmond Street Detnal for my dental treatment, which consisted of Invisalign and implantation. Dr Haider Raza, Karolina and Saba are the great team and customer service is top notch. They’ve got attention to every detail of the treatment and provide flexibility on choice of the plans and their trade-offs. Atmosphere in the clinic is great and relaxing. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Have been a patient at Thurloe Street Dental for most of my life. Dr Raza, Karolina and Saba make a fantastic team and have always delivered top notch dental care. The environment is very warm and friendly also. I used to hate visiting the dentist as a kid, but I almost enjoy going to dentist these days. Would give a 6th star if available.
