Fantastic experience: Ok, usually when a conversation about dentists comes up in any group of friends, everyone instantly feels anxious. For me, this subject is different. I’ve known Dr Gursh and his colleagues for over 8 years, and I’ve always felt welcomed with any questions or concerns — even if they sometimes sound a little silly. They have always been professional, answering everything to make sure I feel safe, healthy, and, most importantly, comfortable when it comes to dental care.

Fantastic experience: Jazz was amazing I was terrified of having 4 teeth extracted but I didn’t need to worry I felt no pain or discomfort job was done quickly and very professionally I can’t praise or thank jazz enough

Fantastic experience: I can honestly say Ascent Dental Care is awesome. Everyone is so helpful and genuinely care. Jaz is by far the best Dentist I have ever been too. I definitely recommend him. I hate going to the dentist but my fear is fading away. Totally put me at ease. I have horror stories of going years ago. But times change and dentists most definitely have! I have had fillings, extractions and a new partial pallet. I have had fillings in the past. The injection hurt when having it and hurt afterward. This time .. nothing! Didnt even know when the needle went in. The cost is reasonable and totally worth it. He promised me a great smile and that's exactly what I have!

I am an extremely nervous patient and James made me feel so at ease; showing me my x-rays and explaining the treatment plan. Also I thought the price I was quoted for the work I am about to have was very reasonable given I don't have a plan or insurance.

Fantastic experience: I was traumatised as a child by the dentist and never went unless I was in absolute agony and then I had to be sedated and was literally dragged there. My teeth have got so bad that I had no choice but to bite the bullet and go. I searched the internet for a dentist that would hopefully understood my fear. I decided to make the decision of going to Ascent. I walked into Ascent dental care a nervous wreck. I was greeted by the lovely reception staff and introduced to Julian. My end result was more than i was expecting, they are so natural but so perfect im obsessed with them. hands down the best dentist ever!

Fantastic experience: No one likes going to the dentist, particularly when you know your treatment will take several visits, and up to 12 months to complete! I finished my treatment 4 months ago, after about 8 visits, each time greeted with friendly courtesy by everyone in the practise. I was astonished as it is rare to receive consistent good friendly service. If I needed to change an appointment, nothing was too much trouble. My treatment has given me better than expected results, and Jas my dentist was only satisfied when he considered everything was perfect. He planned a course of treatment and kept me informed as things progressed making necessary changes to meet his obvious high standards. I am very happy with my new smile, a big thanks to everyone at Accent.

Negative experience: It was my second visit in the clinic but regret I visited again. I had my retainer fixed ( Same location that was fixed merely 6 months prior). I complained that I felt the frequency used to scrape off the glue was too high and painful. Was told that it was the only tool and setting it could be used. Somehow I don’t remember being as much in pain during previous visit. I complained that the glue was applied too generously leaving me with uneven edges and bumps on the back of my teeth. I was met with a very defensive response. I insisted the glue was scaled back and it was a bit. At least I no longer felt rough edges but still not happy with work performed. I am dreading now coming back to pick up my removable retainer.

Fantastic experience: Would definitely recommend! Like most people who come here I was nervous when I came in, not so when I left. The receptionists were lovely, friendly yet professional, a warm welcome awaited. I had Mo and a treatment for my gums, he was patient, genuine and respectful and made me aware of exactly what was to happen and all costs involved before i made the decision. He gave me info that no dentist has ever done before and I am eternally grateful for him, he was patient and reassuring on the day of my treatment. Thanks very much Mo and everyone.

Fantastic experience: I went through the process of having implants fitted. Throughout the whole process I received excellent service and care from everybody at the practice. I did not, at anytime, feel uncomfortable or any pain and the procedure was never rushed but carried out at a pace that meant a very successful outcome. I’d recommend this practice very highly.

Negative experience: I had teeth straightening using Spark aligners which cost me £4000. I was initially reasonable satisfied when my teeth were beginning to straighten, however, once I stopped wearing the aligners I have come across various problems including black triangles / spaces appearing in between my teeth which is due to the realigning so now exposing gum recession. This adds to just about everything I eat sticking to these gaps which looks disgusting and TOTALLY prevents me eating in public, very life changing that I have never been out for a meal in public since! The permanent retainer which is behind my upper and lower teeth is very intrusive being a metal wire, sealed on to the back of my teeth with some type of translucent seal. Unable to floss, I now can only use inter-dent brushes that fit in the large triangular spaces at the gum part of my upper and lower teeth which is very disappointing to say the least. I was not warned about any of these issues. I had a video zoom with the dentist to discuss this, I told him that I feel I should have clearly been warned of any possible problems during or after the teeth have been straightened. I also said that I should have been told / warned about the intrusive permanent retainer and how I would be unable to floss properly as well as have the discomfort of this in my mouth permanently. My decision to have alignment was a tough one and was a choice of dental crowns or straightening. I would never have decided to have aligners if I was warned about the problems that I’m left with. When I discussed this with the dentist, he said nobody else had these problems and continually quoted the number of patients that had used his services and never complained of these issues. I am 58 years old so maybe the black triangles/ unsightly gaps are not normally an issue with younger clients, though I certainly believe this should have been foreseen as a possible down side to aligners at my age and that I should have been pre warned about all of these problems I am left with. The choice I made was wrong as I was not at all warned of these problems. This has left me extremely unhappy, to open my smile which was the catch phrase used by the dentist, has actually opened a can of worms for me! Nice enough people but not suitable for my situation. I put my trust in the dentist and it cost me £4000. I would advise clients considering alignment treatment to look in to possible problems after the teeth have moved before deciding to part with such a large sum of money.

Negative experience: I have been to this dentist, trying to have new dental veneers. I had an initial consultation with a dentist there, explaining what i want. After that i’ve been met my treatment coordinator, and been left to wait for over a week for some answers because she couldn’t reach my dentist. So after this, i called them and i found out my dentist referred me to another dentist. So then i have to go again for another appointment just to talk again about dental veneers. So a total waste of my time and very bad organised place.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic customer service by the Ascent Dental Care, Tamworth team. You can sense the professional and customer focus as soon as you enter. The receptionists make you feel welcome and are courteous. The dental assistants and dentists listen to your concerns and address any these in a sensitive manner. I travel from Birmingham to this practice and I believe it is justified. Well done to the entire team at the Tamworth practice. Keep up the high standards of customer service.

Fantastic experience: Beyond Dentistry I couldn't recommend Ascent Dental enough. Their skill, care, compassion and eye for precision is unbelievable. Every member of staff is so professional, kind, and friendly. You're immediately put at ease, so for those who are fearful of dentists, this is the perfect practice for you. Positive experience: The treatment was fine. I'm not happy about the hidden charges which appear after appointments. I was told my treatment would be £1400 which I paid. I came in for a 15min follow up, and after the appointment I was told this was £150. £10 per minute!? This charge had never been mentioned to me before, in person or on email. It happened last year also, with an £80 charge I wasn't told about. Decent dentist, but disappointed with too many hidden charges. I won't be going back again.

Fantastic experience: I had the traumatic experience of falling and fracturing numerous teeth. After visiting a my local dentist who suggested veneers I thought I’d get an appointment with Ascent due to their reviews. I managed to get a same day appointment and the treatment carried out within a week. James did the treatment (composite filling) and I couldn’t be happier with the results. He took the time to ensure the match was to the highest standard and I would definitely recommend Ascent. The whole team are extremely welcoming and provide excellent care.

Fantastic experience: I'm a new patient ar Ascent Dental Care and my first impressions are that their staff are all incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and professional. From the start of my new patient consultation with Fiona I felt that my needs and expectations were listened to and understood, she handed me over to Dr Jay who assessed me thoroughly and has identified the cause of my dental issues rather than just dismissing them as a result of poor oral hygiene and is working on a treatment plan that will hopefully resolve them. I appreciate the amount of time he took to make an in depth assessment and clearly explain to me his opinion as well as future treatment options. I was booked in the very next day to see one of their hygienists and Anita was again, incredibly friendly, professional and delicate around a high sensitivity area. As well as ensuring I was comfortable throughout the appointment, she also took some extra time to revisit some basics of oral hygiene and help me correct some bad habits that I didn't even know I'd developed. All in all, I'm very impressed with the staff at Ascent and I'm looking forward to trusting them with my ongoing dental care

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff and service. Really comfortable to talk to about budgets and really understanding and supportive to this very anxious,nervous patient. Just had some dental surgery with sedation and was well looked after by all involved before, during and after. It’s my fault my one tooth got to this stage but they were fully supportive and not patronising at all. Great communication, respond quickly to emails and no problems with my appointments. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: As an apprehensive and anxious dental patient I usually find any visit to a dentist very nerving. My experience with this practice was anything but. I was made to feel very comfortable,spoken to thoroughly throughout the appointment and given detailed feedback on what was needed to give me a smile back. Negative experience: Always cancelling my appointments the day before is highly inconvenient. Maybe this is because I am always the last appointment of the day, and the dentist wants to go home, but it has happened at my last five appointments. Don't get me wrong; the staff are absolutely brilliant, and the reception staff are so helpful and understanding, as I'm sure they are not the ones cancelling. If I could afford to pay for my family to have consultations elsewhere, we would move dentists because sorting out a family's dentist appointments during the week is not an easy task.

I have had two of the 9 appointments planned so far and have been totally put at ease with the lengthy procedures with the caring and professional manner provided by him.

Fantastic experience: I was super nervous having had difficult dentist appointments in the past and not having had any teeth out before or any surgery at all, I had a lot of anxiety. Laura was brilliant, gave me a full on presentation on the process. She answered every question I had and was able to use a sedative so I didn’t really care about the process when getting it done. Made me feel really comfortable and the team were very caring, understanding and supportive. My NHS dentist checked my teeth after and said it had healed perfectly. I hope I never need a tooth out again but if I do, I would come back to Laura and her team. If I lived closer I would get as much work done as possible here. Parking was cheap and easy, just at the end of the road, you can’t miss it. Cost of the work I felt was very reasonable for the high standard of care. Would happily send my family here.

Fantastic experience: I had an implant today and felt no pain whatsoever. I had a local Anaesthetic and did not even feel the injections. Everything was explained to me prior and during the procedure. They are very attentive. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: The customer care offered by Charlotte, Amy and Gursh was outstanding. Charlotte helped my on my Spark journey which took almost two years due to my bite not being correct. I am an awkward nervous patient but Charlotte took her time with me and explained what, and why she was doing things to make me feel settled. I cannot recommended Ascent enough. My only regret is not starting the process sooner! Here’s a before and after, worth every penny! Go for it!!!

Fantastic experience: I'm amazed at the improvement made to my teeth using aligners. I had a milk tooth which was causing all sorts of wonkiness, it was removed and the other tooth was moved to where it should have been - magic!! The team were all really nice and helpful and I've now got a set of straight teeth

Fantastic experience: I was on Holiday in Egypt and developed a raging toothache, talk about nightmare. Upon my return I called Ascent Dental my regular Dentist. They told me to attend immediately, and treated me immediately. I’ve given them 5 stars and that’s not enough stars. ascent Dental treated my personal emergency as their number 1 priority, ask yourselves when choosing a Dentist how many would treat you as an individual when your desperately in need, I’m guessing very few. Telephone call, subsequent answerphone message, text message confirming telephone call then followed by TWO automated messages seeking a response - all seeking confirmation that I had remembered my appointment. A few days later a cracked tooth once again excellent service with Reception fixing me up with an Emergency Appointment and Laura and her Assistant doing another excellent job. I've had some tooth extractions and I'm going to get more repairs done for my teeth from here. From someone who hates the dentist and gets his anxiety sky rocketing. So much, of not only mine, but my familys time wasted and had severe anxiety as a result. I went to Ascent Dental and they have been absolutely amazing from my very first visit! Fantastic experience: Some people provide a service which is so easy to write nice words about and this dentist is packed full of them. Reception are so supportive and helpful, Anita the hygienist had me laughing from start to finish, sharing stories about her upcoming holiday plans and Laura and Amy P nursed me brilliantly though a filling and a challenging wisdom tooth extraction. To give this context I used to be petrified of dentist’s, losing sleep for days in advance of any visit and with crooked teeth that prevented me from smiling freely. Enter stage door left a genius dentist by the name of Faresh who flipped that whole thing on its head. With implants and bridges he gave me a beaming smile that I’ve worn every day for 20 years. Maybe it was the awards of junior dentist of the year that helped manage the initial fear, but although I don’t get to see him now, since he specialises in more complex dentistry, the team I do see notably Laura and Anita are a credit to his ethical approach and underpinned by professionalism and kindness. It’s clear that every team member that Faresh and Gursh take into their dental family is hand selected before being entrusted with helping people under their name. I live in Wales now and it’s a 5 hour round trip to see them but it’s worth every penny and every cross border mile. Plus I get to celebrate having a private international dentist . A long post for a review, I know, but I make no apology and if you’ve read it to the end then thank you. If it leads you to choose this dentist then you’ll thank me back, I’m sure, and you too might well find yourself no longer trusting your smile and your pearly gnashers to anyone else. Thank you team for a smile that’s brought many other smiles in return now into my third decade. Ps. Spoiler alert … beaming smiles are contagious, pass it on ❤️

Fantastic experience: Friendly, honest and reasonable pricing too - which feels great in the current state of play with the economy. I am new to the area and have felt welcome at this practice and at ease following some recent dental surgery. They have great plans and don't charge more than they need to/ upsell anything either. Everything is explained well to you as a patient. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the great team to friends and family. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Jesal drilled through my crowned front tooth to refill a root filling I'd had done thirty five years previously. I didn't even know that could be done and was really nervous about it. But Jesal, James and everyone else at Ascent have honestly been awesome. It wasn't the most pleasant thing to have done but Jesal and his assistant reassured me constantly and were very considerate and accommodating. I can't recommend treatment by Jesal highly enough. He is an endodontic wizard!

Fantastic experience: After being let down last week by one of the dentists at the NHS practice i was with, i have decided to go private as i was afraid that going back will create even more damage to my teeth. After a bit of research and looking at the reviews i decided to go for it and book an appointment with Ascent Dental Care, oh and how happy i am that i did. I knew it will be good from the moment i have contacted the clinic for details, the way i was spoken on the phone and how smoothly the booking in went, however the visit exceeded my expectations. It started with Kathryn in reception, who was kind and sent a great positive vibe the minute i stepped in. Then i was greeted and taken upstairs by Fiona, who kindly asked, listen, explained the steps moving forward and talked me through the practice membership plans. She handed over everything that we spoke about to Laura, my dentist. The first consultation was thorough and made me feel at ease when i realised just how good and passionate Laura is about her job. Even if i did not started the actual work on my teeth yet, i could just tell from the whole examination that she knows what she is doing and that things will only get better. I was shown pictures and was explained so well that it was obvious why i need certain things done. Based on all that, Laura put together a dental plan that we will start working on as of next month. The nurse Amy(i might be wrong about the name and i apologize if so, i struggled to remember ) was as nice and good as everyone else - it means the world when you can see that everyone knows exactly what to do. I am just a normal, average paid worker and i know going private it is more expensive but in this case you get what you paid for and even more. Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Ascent Dental Practice enough! After bad experiences at my local NHS dentist, which ultimately resulted in me avoiding going for regular checkups, my teeth and gums are now healthy again. The staff, from the receptionist to dental nurses, are excellent and attentive, making your visit a pleasant experience. Aimee, with the red hair, deserves a special mention for putting me at ease from the moment I arrived and was reassuring and Knowledgeable. I left feeling confident of returning for my next check up.Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Just had my braces off after 2 years of damen clear braces. I have to say staff are all incredibly professional I'm a nervous patient but felt well cared for by Gursh and his team. Kathryn was also brilliant, keeping me calm through my wimp stages I'm really pleased, makes so much difference and I will no longer have to cover my teeth for photos!

Fantastic experience: I am a nervous patient and recently have had a fair amount of much needed dental work carried out at Ascent dental care in Tamworth. Everyone at the practice from the women on reception to the 3 practitioners I have had treatment from have been amazing. They have all made me feel respected, reassured and safe, the care and quality of treatment from the practitioners has been excellent. They have explained everything very clearly and listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. Also, I can honestly say that the treatment has been painless. I will never look forward to visiting the dentist but I am much more reassured that I will be taken care of and my dental care is in the safest and most professional hands!

Positive experience: I felt called to write this and to agree with the last review I am also very surprised that this practice some how has as many 5* reviews as they do. I attended appointments as I had upper teeth upper right and left molars . With reference to the upper left rtc I said that this tooth was causing very severe heat sensitivity so bad I couldnt eat or drink hot food. He x rayed the tooth and said it couldnt have been the rtc but that it was the tooth behind it.. i didnt really understand this as the person experiencing the symptom - the pain was always very localised to the rtc tooth …. Two dentist at Atherstone told me that if I was experiencing heat pain it was definitely related to the rtc tooth And a subsequent dentist at Nuneaton said it was the rtc tooth responsible because a tiny canal at the end of the tooth had not been filled fully etc - all in all a very disheartening experience - for any person experiencing serious dental issues its utterly life changing and a very traumatic and expensive health condition to be faced with - with teeth being so essential to health and well being - people like me all we want is absolute clarity on our issues and people we can trust and who actually care about identifying the exact problem and helping to find solutions for the patient - I know its easy in this world to see people as just walking £ signs but we are not - we are human beings who deserve honesty and authentic health care - This practice didnt do the rtc but I felt called to write this as I feel we have to do better as people in our work - definitely the practice comes across as “show” dentists or “business” first dentists rather than doctor dentists

Fantastic experience: I contacted Ascent Dental Care after my general dentist advised me that I needed root canal treatment, which they would be unable to carry out. I was looked after by Jesal, who put root canal fillings into 3 of my teeth, which was not a straightforward procedure, as they were crowned front teeth, and 2 of the crowns were some 25 years old. I can only say that he did an excellent job. He explained everything very thoroughly to me beforehand, and I was truly amazed at how little discomfort I felt when the work carried out. He is a really nice guy, who puts you totally at ease, and the nurses, reception and admin staff are all very friendly, polite and efficient. I have no hesitation in recommending this excellent dental practice.

Fantastic experience: I came to Tamworth 5 years ago with a real fear of dentists. As I needed to find a new practise I eventually plucked up courage to attend Ascent Dental Care. I can honestly say, they have been amazing. From the reception team, especially Kathryn to my current dentist, Laura, I now have no fear of going for any treatment. They are extremely patient focused and excellent in caring for the most scared individuals. Would 100% recommend-give them a try-you won't regret it :-)
