Fantastic experience: Very good and helpful

Negative experience: After geting my teeth pulled and dentures made the bottom set have been awful cant eat and nothing sticks them, went to see dentist again today she offered to make a new bottom set £750, but couldnt guarantee that would work, when i left it cost me £73 i would not recommend this practice i feel they are not helpful now i am left with ill fitting teeth

Fantastic experience: I can’t complain, I have a dentist. As I age I am finding problems with my teeth. Ok they are not perfect but they are mine. Chelwood are brilliant at the care and very professional at what they do. I would love to have prefect white teeth but it looks false, well to me. I find that they push for the ‘’perfect white’’ to me I am very happy of the treatment I receive. If I could afford great teeth then these guys would be my number one.

Fantastic experience: May 2025: My back tooth broke around a filling on the bank holiday, luckily I was able to get an emergency appointment first thing on the Tuesday. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, the dentist explained all the options and pricing up front and was able to fix my tooth on the same day. As always, an amazing experience and the reason I stick with this dental surgery. Thank you! Feb 22: I have been to see the hygienist today for my 6 month appointment, as she knows I hate the cold water against my teeth, she suggested a scrape today instead; my teeth feel much cleaner and I haven't left the dentist office feeling like they are on edge. An amazing service, thank you!! I have been with this dental surgery for over 10 years and I cannot recommend it enough. The staff are all super friendly, helpful and very good at their jobs. If you are in any way nervous about visiting the dentist, this is the place for you!

Fantastic experience: I have too many' shared experiences ' to write! ... I will sum it up by saying that I have had very troublesome teeth for 30 years mainly due to grinding them. They become very problematic & loose which eventually leads to urgent treatment. This practice will do its upmost best to get you seen asap. It gives you such peace of mind. Once again my smile has been given back to me with such great service given by a new member of my dental practice that I had not met before. It was like meeting old friends ( even with his assistant). My front top tooth had yet again broken away due to my terrible grinding in the night. I leave always feeling so relaxed & confident in such marvellous care & attention that I have received. Even the staff behind the scenes, that you don’t always see but have worked at this practice for a very long time don’t forget you & are happy to help & assist you. I have a disability & they are so caring & attentive to my needs. I never want to ever have to leave this practice ! Thank you ! Can’t recommend it more. Been for my regular check up. Love the professionalism of how we check in upon arrival and then when called for then greeted warmly at the door. Whilst during my appointment able to comfortably ask some questions that got answered so well & put my mind at ease.Made to feel very relaxed there & everything explained clearly, making you leave with confidence. Thank you ! My son recently had his 6 months check up. He felt confident to go in on his own & ask questions, plus be given informative replies. I have recently had to go back on numerous occasions to have my dental plate altered & the receptionists & technician's have been so accommodating & attentive to my needs, plus requirements. They even try to fit me in when I only need my dental plate adjusting again a little when I am bringing another family member for their review with me ( we travel a 45 minute journey to get there). Also with my disability they work around my limitations & make me feel comfortable plus at home. Highly recommended to anyone especially with disabilities too.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic dental practice. Today i saw a new male dentist, think he has only worked at the practice for about two weeks . I have seen many dentists in my life, but this dentist was by far the best. He explained fully the issue, the resolution, and step by step he informed me of what he was doing. He was gentle, polite and very proffesional. So much so i have booked to see him again, and so has my wife for our next appointment, But a negative, why do I have to go on your website to simply discover your opening times? Some older people may not be able to do this . Why not just say what they are on your recorded message...Simple .....

Fantastic experience: It might seem odd to describe going to the dentists as a pleasurable experience but it is always a pleasure going to Chelwood Dental Care – all of the team from the receptionists through to the clinical staff are friendly and professional working in a spacious surgery that really makes you feel welcome and cared for.

Most recently, I have had Invisalign treatment and Debbie and Becky have been fantastic. Always kind and patient which is the most important thing for anyone a little nervous of the dentist and I am really happy that I decided to go ahead with Invisalign even as an older patient. A lovely practice and always recommend.

Negative experience: Just spoke to a receptionist, dont know her name but it wasnt the regular lady I speak with, she was rude and short. Needs to get her attitude sorted out. Note to management to train all staff to speak politely with customers.

Fantastic experience: The Principal Dentist Debbie Bennett is fantastic! Extremely thorough. Totally painless from the initial root canal treatment to the final fitting my crowns. Debbie and her entire team including making further appointments with reception made it a stress free experience. Can't thank them enough Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Arranged appointment for veneer on front tooth to be reattached. Found the staff to be welcoming and explained the procedure well. Allowed time to ask questions at the end and explained things I might need to discuss at my scheduled appointment. On the whole a positive experience, but unfortunately the veneer came out shortly after leaving.

My last appointment with Dr Mac today before his well earned retirement, it turns out it’s 37 years he has looked after me.
