Fantastic experience: Just had a wisdom tooth extracted and I assumed I would be in a heap on the floor when I got home but absolutely spot on. extraction was so quick and smooth I didn’t even know it was out! Plus all the staff are really friendly right the way through the practice. Thank you for your help, I won’t hesitate to use you in the future.

Positive experience: 1st visit for emergency treatment First impressions really good,receptionist really helpful. Dentist explained in detail what was needed to done Got on with it, minimal stress, given needed anathetic injection. All area immaculate. Have booked next visit.

Negative experience: I didn't realise that missing 2 appointments 1 in 2021 and 1 in 2022 would get me blocked from going to this dentist the first appointment I genuinely forgot as it was made several months in advance second one I had work, I tried explaining in person shortly after but was told to move along which sucked because at the time I had infection and face was swelled up. When I did used go here the dentist was kind and made me feel at ease only couple times in the 10+ years I went here was it a bad experience

Negative experience: extremely rude staff have deemed me not attended an appointment because i was 5 minutes late. They always have me waiting at least 10-20 minutes if not sometimes longer, and because i'm 5 minutes late one time they asked me to leave because i said that situation to the receptionist. Completely unprofessional behaviour, ive just got off the phone with the manager there and she just said because i used the word ridiculous to describe the situation they have a zero tolerance policy. Whatever that means. utterly disgraceful customer service. RE: to owner There was no aggressive behaviour is the problem. Expressing my opinion that I always have to wait is/was not aggressive, nor is saying its ridiculous being asked to leave because i'm 5 minutes late. There was no aggressive behaviour, check the CCTV which is sign posted all over the reception.

Fantastic experience: Best dentist ever! I had a check up with Emily and I can honestly say I’ve never had such a good experience. So welcoming, really good at explaining everything and such a kind and understanding person. All the staff there were great cannot recommend highly enough :)

Negative experience: I was a client at this dental practice for a couple of years, the first issue I had is contact with the surgery. I would wait in a call queue for upto 1 hr every time I called to book an appointment, sadly when I reached caller number 1 the phone would start to ring and immediately disconnect… as you can imagine this become extremely stressful. Following this I work away Monday-Friday for work. I had booked an appointment for a root canal surgery, en route back home my van broke down and was unable to make my appointment. I tried to call multiple times ( same issue as stated above line would disconnect ). This resulted in a missed appointment. I have now just called up the dentist again as the tooth is causing extreme pain to be told they have removed me from the dentist and refused to offer any further appointments. I was confused about this matter and tried to explain to the receptionist I had in fact contacted the dentist via email and phone. To which I received nothing but a rude reply and was told to find another dentist. Shocking experience all round

Fantastic experience: Best dentist in Newcastle!! Such a welcoming friendly practice. Emily the dentist has got rid of my dentist anxiety. Talks me through everything, happy to answer my multiple questions. And always makes sure I’m okay during the procedure. Couldn’t ask for a better dental experience. Also thank you Nicole the receptionist who gave me great advice today, the other receptionists and dental nurses! You’ve all been great x

Fantastic experience: Recently signed up with this practice. Always had a dread of the dentist since I was a child. Following 2 separate appointments I can honestly say this was the best experience I have had in 50 years. From the smile and chatty lady on reception to Sally the dentist who was lovely, made me feel very much at ease on my first appointment to not being that anxious at all. Her assistant was nice and kept me chatting which helped my nerves. Would definitely recommend this practice to all. I was very happy with the work carried out on my teeth / 10 out of 10

Fantastic experience: After 18 years of fear and anxiety I came across Park Road Dental and I only wish I did sooner. Always greeted with a big smile from the receptionist and Dr Sally has been calm and reassuring from the start. I now feel a ton better about coming back for more treatment. Thankyou!

Negative experience: I had an emergency nhs appointment with David. If you don't like needles, steer clear. He was brutal. He extracted 2 top teeth near the front. 10 days on my face is still bruised and I have blood under the skin inside my cheek. I explained I had a phobia of needles but he gave me 2 in the roof of my mouth and 1 at the side of my nose. The roof of my mouth is still sore. It is dentists like this who create fear in people. How they are getting 5 stars amazes me. Maybe if you are paying cash, you get treated better.

Positive experience: UPDATE: I have had a phone call from the surgery who were very apologetic and really sympathetic acknowledging that no notes were made against my record on the day as they should have been. Although this doesn’t change my original experience they handled this very well today and the lady who called was great. I understand clerical errors happen, it’s one of those things. The phone call was appreciated! I was removed from the dentist books for missing a couple of appointments, the last one was because the morning of my appointment I found my father dead at his home! My husband had actually rang that same day to inform them I wouldn’t be attending explaining the reason why, as I had asked him to knowing I had missed a previous one when my father was in hospital the year prior! When I called and was informed I had been removed I think they were surprised I could remember the exact date of my last missed appointment but I’m sure others would too given the circumstances and I told them why I could remember. They said they would check with dentist but heard nothing back!

Positive experience: I can hand on heart say this is the nicest Dental practice I have been to and I have been to quite a few over the years very friendly staff, always made to feel comfortable the nurses are friendly Since posting this review i must update my assessment i have been lft with my teeth mutilated I now look like a freak and have been cast aside as im NHS shame on you Sally i hope you sleep well get good advice Norman Waddell

Fantastic experience: I was recently seen by David after suffering what I believed to be a broken tooth. It did in fact turn out to be a tooth cracked in half which needed an emergency extraction. This was carried out immediately without fuss or drama in a considerate manner. Both David and his nurse Amy were highly professional in their approach and I cannot thank them enough. top marks.

Fantastic experience: My wife I followed Dr David Lawler when he moved from a practice in Jesmond to Park Road, as we both agreed that he was an excellent dentist who made us both feel at ease when we were seated in the dentist chair. Since enrolling at the Park Road practice as patients we can with hand on heart sing the praises of all the staff who work within the practice, they are all profession and above all Careing individuals. Indeed one of the dental nurses within the practice (Margret) we have known for many years from when she was a dental nurse on Heaton Road (Mr Pickering) who we thought was one of the best Dentist ever. Fantastic experience: Park Road Dental is a really friendly and professional Dental Practice. I don't like going to the Dentist (who does!), however as soon as I am greeted by the lovely receptionist I feel much calmer and happier. All the staff are very friendly and my Dentist David is excellent, he explains everything clearly and is also very caring. I really cannot recommend Park Road Dental highly enough.

Negative experience: I was removed from NHS treatment Due to not attending from before covid Also moved down south for 18 month Returned over a year ago due to losing both parents , some people have personal reasons for not attending This could be taken into consideration when you make your decision to remove patients from NHS treatment as you have done to me

Positive experience: Nice enough practice and staff but £65 for a check up when I was in and out in less than 15 min I felt is a lot. Most practices do a scale in this time. Plans weren’t even discussed by the dentist

Fantastic experience: I didn’t have a dentist - they took me on straight away. They gave me 4 appointments straight away and within a month I had the best denture I have ever had. The surgery is vibrant the staff are all very happy. Because zI am a wheelchair user they are wheelchair friendly- they have only 1 step and if they see you coming they are quick to come out to give a hand . All in all I would happily recommend this practice .

Fantastic experience: I have been going to see Sally for over 2 years. She gave me my smile back. As a heavy smoker for years, I had horrible yellow stained teeth. She has put me on very regular check ups and regular polishing. I'm now proud of my teeth again and I'm no longer embarrassed of my smile. The first time I went to see her she put me at complete ease. All the staff are so pleasant and make you feel comfortable with your visit, they are a great team and if you have any problems they try their hardest to sort you out as quickly as physically possible. Fantastic experience: Friendly reception staff and a very clean surgery. It has a few steps which can be quite hard for a lone person in a wheelchair but if accompanied it is accessable. There is a downstair surgery for someone who is elderly or has a disability.

I changed my dentist several times due to my original dentist retiring and I’ve eventually found the perfect one for me.Park Road offers a warm welcome, keep you informed of time and date of appointment by text and email and even call to remind you the day before. Once you’re in the chair Rachel and Kim take the best care of you, make you feel relaxed and in safe hands. I highly recommend this dental practice. Excellent levels of patient care and NHS so very reasonable priced.

Fantastic experience: Avoided the dentist for a good few years due to a childhood fear. Started to have really bad tooth ache 2 weeks of pain and builldng up the courage to go to my previous dentists didnt want to know i rang park road dental practise and managed to get booked in same day and ill never look bad or avoid the dentist again all memebers of staff are lovely cant reccomend them enough
