Fantastic experience: Very nice and friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: Recently joined as new patient, relief after paying private due to long waiting lists on NHS. I've recently suffered with tooth ache, the reception was able to get me an appointment same day, hardly waiting time when I arrived and the staff acknowledge you and keep you posted on what's happening next. My dentist was quick to diagnose the problem. I can't fault the team at all, it's been a fab service.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic, I've been petrified of Dentists all my life, attended an hour or so ago. Made me feel at ease, and before I knew it, all done. The Dentist and his assistant were 100% patient and understanding. Great work thankyou.

Fantastic experience: As a new patient I just wanted to to say that all the Mayfield team are a fantastic, my biggest fear is going to the dentist, I have been today, had fillings, the lady who I saw was kind and went through every step with me. She had said if there was anytime that I needed them to stop, just to let them know, this made me feel better. First time I had to deal with my anxiety and it was the same today, but one I calmed down, I was fine I don't think I will ever over come my fear of dentist, but you will definitely make my visits to the dentist alot easier and a bit more covid

Negative experience: When I was ten years old (twenty years ago) I got a filling here on a brand new adult molar (totally unnecessarily - dentist filling his pockets). The dentist was a middle aged indian man - all I recall. I was in no pain with the cavity. No discomfort. No sensitivity. And I would later realise as an adult based on research done that a cavity in early phases is reversible. This filled tooth was filled with amalgam. And a huge amount of structure removed for the filling. It was a complete mess. I could only afford to fix it as an adult. Amalgam comes with its own concerns too in my view in light of research. What would then occur over the next two decades would be progressive bite issues, occlusal misalignment, and TMJ, affecting the vast majority of my life - all attributed back to one unnecessary filling. So thank you, whoever you were, for that.

Fantastic experience: Had to have the roots removed after my tooth broke; to say I was petrified is an understatement. I saw Sadegh Ansari, he had those roots out of my mouth in seconds and not any pain whatsoever. I thought I would be in agony once I got home but nope he did an excellent job. Thank you Sadegh Ansari.

Fantastic experience: One of my teeth fell of its perch.I rang the dentist and she said we can fix it today, I was in shock I did not expect that. So anyway I went in and had the tooth refitted and if only cost 26 pounds. I have been with mayfield dentist for many years and had no problems at all. Positive experience: Dentist saw me just before my appointment time. A thorough examination and full explanation of what was happening. Hygienist was running slightly late but again full examination was made before treatment was done. I've made an appointment to be seen again in January because I wanted back to back appointments. I also bought some interdental brushes because the colour I need isn't available at the chemist or supermarket.

Fantastic experience: I had broken a tooth and needed it fixing as soon as possible. I rang and left my details on the answerphone and the marvellous Debbie rang me back and asked me to attend in 70 minutes! I attended, was seen straightaway by my dentist and there was no charge because I had had some treatment in the previous two months. All round, excellent.

Always found reception staff very helpfull and polite.. NEW VISIT Visited again in Dec for check up the 1st since lockdown needed a filling on front tooth took time to repaire and fill excellent job. New visit May 24 My visit today with Surest nathan was great a very polite man he fully explains what's happening to my teeth and what will be needed in the future. Positive experience: I struggle with a lot of anxiety, having full on panic attacks in the dentist's chair. The hygienist that I saw today was very patient and reassuring. She had to keep stopping her task to allow me time to calm down. She never showed any annoyance or frustration.

Fantastic experience: Didn't they do well. Dug out 2 old fillings and filled them in again. Great care was taken sculpting the new shapes. Slick work. Had suggestions and inter tooth brushes given to take home. Numbed at 9am, gums came back to life at half noon in time for lunch.

Fantastic experience: I haven’t seen a dentist is quite a while with COVID and struggles with mental health. But the staff on reception and dentist and hygienists and assistants were all really lovely to me. Especially as I have anxiety. They reassured me everything was going to be okay and informative and just great visit. My teeth feel amazing now :)

Fantastic experience: I'm a new patient at Mayfield Dental Care and I'm so glad I've registered with them. All the staff are really polite and friendly and the dentist is very gentle and caring.

Negative experience: Booked my grandma in for a filling. I was told it may only be a temporary fix and would have to come again. I explained my grandma is bad on her feet and unable to walk much so asked if we could have an appointment to do a proper filling. I was told this can't be done. Took her for said appointment for it to be in an upstairs room. Which is impossible for my grandma. Then had to rebook another appointment which is for a full filling . Apparently they weren't aware she can't walk much even though I said this on booking the appointment. It's extra frustrating because I had to get child care for my 1 year old to take her in the first place all for it to be a wasted journey.
