Negative experience: AVOID THIS CLINIC AT ALL COSTS – misleading, unprofessional, and inconsiderate. I regret not taking the negative reviews seriously before booking here. They advertise accepting NHS patients, yet when I booked a hygienist appointment, I was told the fee was £75 (£150 in total) and required to pay the full amount upfront as a private charge. On the day of the appointment, the clinic was closed, phoned them - no answer, and no service was provided. When I requested a refund, I was met with rudeness from the receptionist (EVA) and consistent unprofessionalism from the manager (ADIL DEBEER) the following day. Days of follow-ups resulted in nothing but excuses, refusal to refund, and not even a basic apology. This practice is chaotic, misleading, and clearly lacks accountability. Our entire experience with this clinic was appalling. We paid for a service that was never delivered, received no apology, and were treated with complete disregard. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic courtesy from nearly every staff member was astonishing. The only exception was one receptionist, Asma, who showed some level of professionalism. The rest—including receptionists Eva and Neha, the manager Adil Debeer, the hygienist Rosemi, and the so-called “management”—left us with the impression that this practice is poorly run and severely lacking in qualified staff and customer service. To anyone considering this clinic: proceed at your own risk. Read the reviews carefully—I wish I had. There is something deeply concerning about how this practice operates. Based on my experience, I strongly advise staying away. Save yourself the stress and avoid this dental practice altogether.

Fantastic experience: Great service from Suma, advised me of all my options. Was very kind and understanding of my fears. Was extremely thorough and reassuring. I opted for a white filling, I was very pleased to be offered this option, which enabled me to save more of my natural tooth. Assured me that I could return if I had any issues with my filling. Lovely caring, thoughtful, gentle and cheerful lady. Very happy.

Negative experience: I had a disappointing experience with this dentist. Last year, I visited for a free NHS check-up, but I ended up being charged over £200 for a filling and deep cleaning without realizing they charged me full price until a few days later. When I contacted the NHS for assistance, they advised me to resolve the issue directly with the dentist. The deep cleaning procedure felt rushed, and it left my gums bleeding, which was quite alarming—I even choked on my own blood. I know my feedback may sound harsh, but I genuinely believe they lack expertise. I didn't leave a review last year because I didn't feel motivated to do so, but receiving a message from them for another check-up brought my experience back to mind. After reading other reviews, I felt sympathy for those who have had similar experiences. ( I still have the receipts from last year)

Fantastic experience: The staff are friendly especially Asma. They exert extra mile to address their client’s concerns. There’s still a queue for waiting and that’s something not exclusive to this practice. They do give options on how else to approach health concerns. Grateful that they keep their word in terms of appointments.

Negative experience: This dentist started off good but after some terrible treatment I have never gone back. The first problem was a crown fitted with a tiny gap to an adjacent tooth just big enough for food to get stuck in every time I eat. After fitting this the dentist actually said "Now you will lose the adjacent tooth" The second issue was with the hygienist who started off normally descaling my teeth and then suddenly got an angry vicious look in her eyes and scraped all the enamel off the bottom of one of my frobt teeth, I couldn't believe this was happening to me at the time and I have never gone back since Stay away.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend this Dental surgery highly enough. Having waited almost a year to find a Dentist to accept child NHS patients, I decided to look out of area, and I’m so pleased to have found this awesome practice. Despite the 45 minute journey, it is well worth it! My super nervous 8 year old who is neurodivergent has visited here twice, including today. The first visit went really well and was treated so kindly and patiently (despite being late caused by traffic, we were warmly welcomed and invited to wait.) my son reported to me 3 days ago that he had “broken a tooth” so I called the surgery and an appointment was given to him for today (a Saturday?! Unheard of and amazing, since I work full time and would needed to take him out of school.) We were seen by “Hajsom” who was simply brilliant! He very quickly reassured my very scared son (and me!) Not only did he resolve the problem there and then and within a few minutes, he took the time to really educate us both regarding the things he was using, their purposes and how to reduce the risk of any further issues. Which I found very informative. He explained it all in such a way that really engaged my son and has given him a vested interest in taking care of his teeth (including the mended one!) Even if a surgery became available in my local area, I wouldn’t leave here. Every person we have dealt with here, have been so accommodating, friendly and professional. Thank you for all you do

Negative experience: This place keeps trying to bury my review coincidentally posting 10+ reviews after I post mine. Twice this place hasn't refunded me my cancelled appointments. They refused to give me receipts of evidence of cancelled appointments or even a signed note which is very shady It's very scary as a health care practice is meant to look after your health, but the question is how can you trust that when the core values of respect and transparency with patients aren't met? They ask you to pay in advance. Was informed as long as I cancel 2 days before you can fully cancel the appointment and you get a refund. Initially when I asked to cancel I was told there's no cancellation, only changing appointment and I shared I was told something completely different. The lady called someone on the phone and spoke in another language and then spoke to me again in English stating that that's fine full in this form. Refund takes 28 working days. I had to cancel due to suddenly needing to go abroad during that time period, and it appears they don't refund as this had happened before in the past (I wasn't aware of it I missed it on my banking app otherwise I wouldn't have booked again). I've paid them a visit 4 times. Was told they'll call me to update me and never did after my second visit. Again the communication part is understandable, high volume caseload it happens. However it's been nearly 2 months. I'd appreciate honestly and transparency. If a form was not sent hence the delay communicate that. If you don't want to keep your end of the deal just say it rather than mask your actions. A lot of having to chase them with no communication from them whatsoever I had shared how much longer they need and I will visit again for updates in around two weeks. To which if no action has been taken I would like to make a formal complaint. The formal complaints process was not explained to me nor acknowledged by the receptionist and I had to search around and dig around online to find how to do this Don't bother with paying in advance appointments here. Go elsewhere for those types of appointments. Especially if you have commitments elsewhere and think what if I have to cancel

Positive experience: Booked in for NHS treatment over the phone for the following day. Did not receive a confirmation text which I thought strange. On arrival i was told i was a week early but they found space for me in the end. I’d have rathered they not approach the situation as if I were mistaken. Negative experience: This dentist surgery hasn’t even got a dentist. It is absolutely terrible. I went there with a bad tooth they said I needed antibiotics they had no one there to give me a prescription. Let me go for six months ended up losing my tooth thanks a lot I will never use them again.

Negative experience: Sadly, this is the worst practice I’ve ever used. The work I’ve had done has been of a poor standard. It all seems very disorganised and unprofessional. The last straw for me was finding out this is a practice that doesn’t have a dentist qualified to perform a root canal treatment. I have deregistered and gone elsewhere.

Negative experience: Very rude dentist and dental therapists. Very nagging and don’t listen to my needs and wants. Also they do not explain what I need clearly then start complaining next session. Also receptionist booked my appointment on the wrong day when I specifically said next week. As an NHS patient it is hard for me to find another practice to treat my teeth quickly so I unfortunately have to keep going back.

Negative experience: Urgent dental care turned nightmare: 2-hour wait, rude dentist who refused treatment twice, claiming I didn't "deserve" urgent care. Avoid this place!

Fantastic experience: There is a very good change happening here. The receptionists and dentists are very efficient and willing to help. My Mother-in-law had a urgent treatment in another day after registeration. Would recommend it to patients who need a quick and warm welcome and treatment.

Negative experience: I wanted register for check up but the guy asked me book check up date first and keep asked check up date without register. I think they are not NHS dentist. They just looking for money from patients.

Negative experience: After 3 hours and 32 minutes on the phone I gave up at 6.10pm as they are now closed. This is unacceptable. Just put a message on saying you’re unable to take calls if you have to as it would be better than waiting until you close. Also, for basic queries such as cancelling an appointment, why can’t this be done over email/sms/ web form?? It’s 2024. Oh, and when you call out of opening hours it says you can leave a message by pressing 1, then tells you it’s not available. This has nothing to do with the state of the NHS, this is general common sense and a basic level of customer service.

Negative experience: A bunch of scammers - they'll upsell you private treatment which is actually covered by the NHS and not tell you, and when you email their "head office" (which doesn't seem to be their head office seems to just be their reception) to complain about what they're doing you'll get a petty phone call from the rude receptionist which every single review on here complains about Context: I missed a hygienist appointment, which I didn't know was a private appointment, was informed I would have to pay the full charge again (£70) for another appointment, at no point did they actually tell me when booking the appointment that a. it was private and b. I would be charged again in full if I missed it (something the receptionist and manager both say is impossible they inform every single patient ever), they also didn't inform me that actually scaling is covered by the NHS and so I never actually needed to pay that £70 for a private appointment it should've been covered by a Band 1 (or 2 if the build up is really bad). The receptionist called me after I sent a complaint email in to "head office" (aka her inbox I would guess), and during the very petty conversation she exclaimed "then WHY did you pay the £70 if you knew it was covered by the NHS", and the reason why is because I didn't know about it when I booked that appointment, as the professional in this area she should've informed me rather than scam me out of £70 for a private appointment I did NOT need. Heed the warnings of all the reviews here, don't bother even trying this place even if it's the last place in the city that you can get an appointment.

Negative experience: When to sign up as was taking on NHS, no one at reception had to cough to get someone attention. Young reception was more concerned about drawing little hearts on her note pad not very friendly no customer service and apparently the dentist cannot remove teeth or prescribed medication. Not open at weekends. And your be lucky to get them to answer the phone . Wouldn't even look at my neighbours broken tooth.

Negative experience: Pick up the phone!!!! Trying to cancel and rearrange an appointment....no one answers. Even tried pressing 1 for private patients, nope! Still kept waiting. How they remain in practice is beyond me.

Negative experience: Not sure why this practice shows up with 2 different names on google searches, but here I am with my review on both, just in case someone gets on this page, instead of the one with mostly negative reviews. Please read below: Normal human being here, trying to cancel an appointment. Called the dentist and I was number 6 in the queue. After saving 6 people from a fire and 2 from drowning, I got to number 1 in the queue. Done a heart surgery and managed to clean my upstairs bathroom too, but the receptionist still hasn’t managed to get to the phone. Currently waiting for 2hrs and 30minutes. I’ll get in the car and drive there, so I can take my own call and cancel my appointment. Good luck to the person that is number 2 in the queue after me. Update number 1: waiting time 2:55minutes and I have been magically demoted from number 1 to number 3. Update number 2: waiting time 3:40minutes, decided my patience is not what it used to be and hang up. Attempted to call again and I am back to number 6 in the queue. I am genuinely worried that the place is burning down and I am here, getting slightly annoyed they don’t answer the phone. Update number 3: popped in today to have a chat. The receptionist was visibly upset about the phone situation from yesterday. She seemed overwhelmed and frustrated, regardless of how much I explained I am not having a go at her or blame her for it. She asked the manager to come and have a chat. He was very apologetic, polite and helpful. Message to management: please look out for your employees! They sign up to do a job, but in this kind of environment, this can quickly escalate and become overwhelming. Check in with them, ensure you have enough staff, so the job is at least bearable, if not enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: I have a real fear of the dentist. This one made me feel so at ease. My initial appointment was with the nurse for xrays....she was lovely. Today I had an appointment with the hygienist. He was brilliant and extremely thorough and detailed. No pain and my teeth feel fantastic. The reception team are friendly and kind. I didn't wait long for an appointment either. 100% recommended. Thanks

Negative experience: Terrible practice , very rude dentist ,started treatment in February 2023 ,had a check up.paid full amount for treatment, made appointment for level 2 nhs treatment, which i part paid part of ,dentist didn't do anything, he referred me to hospital for x rays ,weeks later agreed to have multiple teeth removed in hospital, 5 months later teeth removed by hospital, still nil treatment from dentist, managed to get 1st appointment for new dentures November2023,took impressions 2nd appointment about a week after they didn't have my impressions back from lab , so sent me home without treatment,1 days pay lost. 3rdappointment demanded full payment over £300 for NHS treatment upfront ,even though I had several appointments until treatment was completed and was told previously I could pay each appointment until completion,sent home without treatment another day's pay lost I have decided to go private .

Negative experience: This review concerns the practice in Portland St Southampton. This is by a long way the worst dental practice I have ever been too. I felt so unwelcome they make you feel like you’re giving them hassle just by being there because they are “so busy”. Safe to say I wont ever be returning. Absolutely dreadful place.

Negative experience: Phoned twice, answer phone states they open at 8, but they don't actually start answering the phone until 9. I waited 15 mins in the queue, got to position 1 and was cut off, tried again, waiting 18 mins and cut off again. Terrible!

Negative experience: Always cancel their appointments on the day, never answer their phones. Steer clear, don't listen to the fake good reviews which they clearly wrote!! Finally got through to them after 40+ minutes and the woman at reception hung up on me
