Negative experience: Very poor experience from the specialist Arian. He was very moody and did not want to be here. Not sure if he was having a bad day. Also seemed like he could do with a hygiene visit to his own dentist. Very disappointed with the service

Negative experience: This clinic is just disappointment. If you come for an appointment with an NHS referral, no assistance is provided. The appointment is simply rescheduled to another date and the issue a prescription for antibiotics.

She was very supportive in taking lead and making suggestions in each of my check ups and giving advice how to move forward. I felt very comfortable and well taken care of in her care. She was very gentle and patient with my teeth which was a 3/4 year braces journey. Very grateful to her would definitely recommend her to anyone considering braces. And the Align and Smile practice overall, even the hygienist appointment I had to clean my teeth were very skilful and gentle with handling my teeth. During my appointments I was always checked for comfort of my braces and have always been seen on time if not earlier which was always so perfect for me. Negative experience: I’m incredibly disappointed with the level of professionalism at this dental practice. I had a long-awaited appointment booked, which took three months to secure—the only available slot was on a Saturday, and I adjusted my entire schedule around it. On the morning of the appointment, I received a call stating the dentist had an emergency and would not be available. While I understand emergencies happen, there was no alternative offered, no urgent support for patients with their own dental needs, and no consideration of the inconvenience and time lost on my end. This isn’t just a casual cancellation—it affects people who have taken time off work or rearranged other responsibilities. Given that the practice charges for treatment, one would expect a basic level of reliability and contingency planning. Sadly, this experience felt anything but patient-centred.

Negative experience: Are they a dental clinic? A referral site? Or an outright scam? Just like another reviewer, I was referred here for an EMERGENCY wisdom tooth removal. I was told that I needed to be seen by a specialist, but they had no available appointments for a least a month. 1 month later I arrive for my appointment with the so-called “specialist” who claims she is unable to remove the wisdom tooth and will have to refer me to the hospital which could take up to 2 months. Huh?? Are you not the specialist? I should've been skeptical when they asked for payment on arrival before any treatment. When I enquired about the payment made, the receptionist mentioned it would go towards treatment at the hospital since I’m being referred. Huh?? NHS treatment at the hospital is free, I know this because since then I’ve had an emergency referral from 111 to remove the same wisdom tooth at the hospital (completely free of charge btw) I’m still waiting for the referral from Align & Smile Dental Centre, yet I had the wisdom tooth removed yesterday. So, what did they charge me for exactly? The fact someone else had the same experience word for word shows this is common practice for this scam centre. They know they can’t treat you but collect payment anyway. Disgraceful! I’ll await their generic chat gpt response, although it doesn’t matter. I’ll never go back there and I hope this is a warning for others to do the same.

Positive experience: I have had my braces for way longer than any of my friends or family members making it over 4 years which did really frustrate me but my orthodontist Ms Sabena has been real helpful/reassuring and nice during that time so I really appreciate that throughout this long journey. I'm very happy with my end results as well, again wish It would've taken way less time but really nice service nevertheless.

Positive experience: Booked a hygienist appointment for the first time with Align & Smile, and I wasn’t disappointed. Dr Obadah Dandashi & the nurse was very helpful and reassuring, and I felt as though my teeth already have made so much progress after one appointment. The only thing I’d say if you’re booking the happy hour cleaning, it doesn’t come with the airflow and if you want it’s an additional fee of £30, in my case I needed it and I felt it worked really well, but it could’ve been a bit better as there was slight staining left. However, I was very pleased with my appointment and booked another one to maintain good dental hygiene, and so my teeth doesn’t return to it’s old state! Overall very happy with the service, and the receptionists were nice too!

Negative experience: It’s unbelievable. I arrived with my child 10 minutes before our appointment, and after waiting for 40 minutes with no sign of the dentist, we were forced to rebook. There was no apology from the front desk staff or the dentist. I will give them one more chance today, but if the same thing happens, I will report them to the relevant regulatory bodies for review.

Fantastic experience: Great experience when attending for my annual hygiene appointment. This was the first time attending align and smile and was such a pleasant and comfortable experience. Obadah and Lily make such a great team and we're constantly checking in to make sure I was okay. Usually when I've had hygiene appointments in other dentists I'm left feeling like my teeth have been drilled! Definitely wasn't the case with this appointment they were experts and precise and I was able to eat drink as normal instantly. Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming again.

Positive experience: This is second time I’ve come here and i feel like they don’t do enough. The hygienist that I saw yesterday was tough and not gentle during the process, because I was late I expected him to be like a little rough in hopes of seeing good results. Even though I was late this time, last time wasn’t so great too so I’m not happy. When I see health professionals like him, im reminded of how the future of our healthcare is doomed. I am being nice by giving 3 stars because the admin team were kind, although they could have resolved this better.

Negative experience: I would give zero star if possible. One of the worst experience ever had. I had a wisdom tooth scheduled to be removed for two months. During the appointment, the dentist just took a look at the X-ray and said: "we cannot do it here and need to be referred to the hospital" after paid. Avoid at all cost if you want to do it on NHS cost. Update: The dentist in house told me it was a two-week waiting period for the NHS referral. However, after I called the hospital, they said it would take up to eight months. Hence, if you have an impacted wisdom tooth, don't even bother going into this dentistry because they would just waste two months to tell you that they cannot do it in house. Rather than taking a look a look at the X-ray and save you the trouble, the dentist would wait for two months to tell you he cannot do it. Then, they would put you on a referral which would take another eight months. Just go to a dental hospital for the referral and save yourself two months on the waiting list

Negative experience: i had my wisdom tooth removed here by oral surgeon Mairaj, they did a good job, however they will falsely inform you about the amount you have to pay which can and will result in penalty charges. Mairaj wrongly used the fact that i receive certain benefits to lie to me about what i would have to pay (being on benefits does not make you exempt to dental charges at all ever. unless you have a dental exemption certificate) when i was very happy to pay the initial £26 for the wisdom tooth extraction, in result the charges from her and Align & Smile’s lies meant that instead of £26 i then had to pay £176. do not recommend, and i strongly urge Align & Smile to carefully reconsider who they have representing their brand and company.

Negative experience: The worst experience ever. If you are in pain with your wisdom tooth growing just avoid that facility. Not only they made me to bite some stuff for a x-ray when I was almost in tears, they say if they remove my tooth I would be paralysed with half of my face. I felt pain more after the appointment than before. I had offer a private care and I said I would pay any money and they refused. What kind of medical experience is that?

Fantastic experience: I attended today with my son who was in severe pain. He was seen by Malihah who advised he needed a root canal or extraction. He opted for the root canal. Malihah explained everything and he was comfortable from start to finish and totally pleased with the outcome. Overall all the staff we me today were really nice and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend and thank you once again Malihah.

Negative experience: I HAD BEEN USING THIS PRACTICE FOR OVER 10 YEARS AND SPENT THOUSANDS ON DENTAL TREATMENT OVER THIS PERIOD. I ALWAYS PAID FOR MY TREATMENT IN FULL EVERY TIME I ATTENDED. I WAS RECENTLY TOLD I OWED £800. I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND HOW OR WHY AND ASKED FOR AN EXPLANATION. THE NEXT TIME I WAS GIVEN A 4+ PAGE LIST OF PAYMENTS AND CHARGES DATING BACK MANY YEARS WITH SCRIBBLES ALL OVER IT AND TOLD I OWED £200+. I HAD NO INTENTION OF GOING THROUGH MY PAYMENTS FOR MY PAST 10 YEARS OF DENTAL TREATMENTS BUT WHAT I DID CALCULATE WAS THE CHARGES MINUS PAYMENTS WHICH DID NOT COME TO OVER £200 SO IT WAS WRONG. IVE YET TO RECEIVE ANY UNDERSTANDABLE EXPLANATION OF WHY THIEY THINK MONEY IS OWED. A STROPPY WOMAN HAS JUST TOLD ME OVER AND OVER AGAIN IN THE RECEPTION AND WAITING ROOM THAT I OWE MONEY AND ITS TAKEN HER HOURS TO WORK IT OUT. SHES RUDE AND HAS EMBARRASSED ME MORE THAN ONCE IN FRONT OF OTHER PATIENTS. IVE NO COMPLAINT ABOUT TREATMENT FROM THIS SURGERY BUT RECOMMEND THAT IF YOU GO THERE YOU KEEP A CLOSE EYE ON WHAT THEY CHARGE. I PERSONALLY WILL NO LONGER BE USING THEM OR GIVING THEM MONEY THEY ALLEGE I OWE WITHOUT AN EXPLANATION. Update they just sent me a new invoice with an additional £120 for my last treatment which I paid for in full ‍♀️

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Align and Smile Dental Centre today. I was extremely nervous but Mairat and Mohammed did a great job of reassuring me and removing the root quickly, despite my panicking. I did not catch their names but the dentist and nurse who first saw me in the morning were also great. I would definitely go back.

Fantastic experience: Dr Mairaj was truly amazing !! I was referred to Align and Smile via 111, due to an infected wisdom tooth and after being seen promptly it was determined that an extraction of the same was necessary. A cancellation facilitaedme being seen the following morning and I was extremely nervous. Dr Mairj and her Assistant Elisha were both calming, patient and most empathetic to my disposition. The procedure was thoroughly explained and no instruments were used, until the area where the extraction would happen was fully numb. The upper wisdom tooth was extracted in mere minutes and aftercare explained. I highly recommend this Dentist duo and must also mention that all Staff present on the morning of October 9th 2024 were professional, friendly, efficient and well aesthetically groomed. The Dental Surgery was exceptionally clean and all surfaces were well tended. This Dental Practice is amazing and here's hoping that they expand to allow more patients to experience the same treatment I did today.

He was very thorough with the cleaning process and played relaxing music in the back to ensure the whole experience was comfortable. Received the airflow treatment and my teeth just looks so clean. Negative experience: Absolutely horrific treatment of patients. I took my elderly father who had severe tooth pain and was recently hospitalised and recovering. The dentist recommended he pull two teeth out, which we agreed to but for some reason he seemed in a massive rush to get us out of the door. After applying the local anaesthetic my father mentioned that he still had some feeling but despite this the dentist didn't wait even a single minute but rushed to start extracting the tooth. I've never seen a dentist rush like this idiot. He even started making very clear threats that if we didn't allow him to rush through with the extraction he would just send us home with antibiotics. He repeated this as he rushed around extracting 2 teeth. We were in the chair barely 10-15 minutes and he extracted both teeth but caused my father a lot of pain. He is a diabetic and bruises/cuts take a long time to heal. When the dentist finished he didn't even bother talking us through the after care. He just handed us a leaflet and turned around in his chair. A terrible dentist with an even worse attitude and complete lack of empathy and care for his patients.

Fantastic experience: I went to this dentist via emergency service and I was seen by Cecil Watson, OmD I don't know what to say, he got rid of my pain in a click of a finger. Got a tooth exacted and I did not feel a thing, he was so gentle and the assistant was great too. I am now considering to change my dentist. Thank you Cecil for your amazing gentle touch! ***AAA***

Fantastic experience: Great service today at align and smile. My doctor today called Obadah, even stayed overtime to give me a 10/10 Job. My teeth are now cleaner than ever and I will be coming back.

Negative experience: I had a crown procedure done at this dental NHS practice, and within less than a month, the tooth they worked on started hurting badly. I missed my first follow-up appointment because of a medical emergency but rescheduled it for later in the week. Unfortunately, I had to miss that one too because I ended up in hospital with a viral infection. When I finally recovered enough to call back, I was shocked to be offered an appointment nearly 20 days away. The pain has been unbearable, and when I called today to ask if they could move it sooner, the person on the phone was incredibly rude. Although she did change my appointment, which I appreciate, her attitude was unacceptable. As I was trying to explain my situation, she abruptly cut me off, saying, “Sorry, I’m busy with three more customers.” She even threatened me, saying that if I missed another appointment, I’d never be accepted by their NHS practice again. I barely had a chance to respond before she said, “Thank you, bye now,” and hung up. She didn’t even let me finish my words. I’m in serious pain, just trying to get some help, and this is how I’m treated? It’s incredibly disappointing and frustrating to be spoken to like this when all I needed was some understanding and assistance. This kind of rudeness is completely unacceptable, especially when dealing with patients in pain.

Fantastic experience: Many years coming to this practice for sanitisation and dental checks not a single problem, in fact I am glad they sent you SMS reminders and call you to check if you are still coming. Shout out to Hygienist Obadah Dandashi, very knowledgable, good treat and overall left my teeth shining! Final shout out to the nurses at the reception that meet you with a smile, good conversation and care about your money, teeth and appointments they ARE AWESOME, thanks for all the reminders and calls so that I do not forget to come and lose my money.

Negative experience: via 111 NHS . I know this was an emergency treatment but I’ve never been with a dentist for 5 minutes only it felt very rushed and whatever. Now I have a temporary thing covering the hole on my tooth but also the way it was placed means I can’t clean between the teeth. Now I have to find a dentist to sort my problem which NHS dont provide . So basically I fell I wasted my time when there is only me solution which is going private.
