Thank you guys after just 2 visits you have my trust which is hard for me to give amazing dentist. As always fantastic people.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient here for many years and recently they have struggled to provide NHS dental services at all. However, a new dentist Mark has been found who will do NHS work, so I went along for a check-up. Mark and his colleague Darcy were very helpful, friendly and professional, with excellent communication skills and reassuring manner. We're lucky the surgery found them.

Negative experience: Where to begin, absolutely disgusted with how I've been treated. Had an appt this morning to have my crown fixed. I was then delayed waiting for 25 mins in waiting room. Then got called in, not even a apology. The dentist checked my tooth out to be told it couldn't be fixed would need to be pulled out or other options which aren't affordable sadly. 2 mins i was in there for.Baring in mind I had paid a deposit 31.00 previously before having this appt booked in I then went to the desk to let them know ive not had any treatment so shouldnt be any further cost. No xrays nothing. The desk lady said oh no there be a fee to pay. So I ended up paying an extra 100 pound on top for basically nothing. She said its for you to be seen! Absolutely disguting! Not welcoming at all. Not happy at all!

The lady dentist does make a very thorough review, and the hygienist lady does a thorough clean. Came out feeling looked after. Have been with this practice for years and not going elsy.

Fantastic experience: Katy, yet again gave good advice on dental hygiene. Lucky enough to need no treatment. Both receptionists very helpful, friendly and professional. I was disappointed to hear some patients being rude to them as they tried their best to help them.

Negative experience: Cancelled my appointment the day before after waiting 6 weeks with no explanation or apology for the inconvenience. Offered an appointment for the afternoon, whilst trying to reorganise my diary to accommodate I was called to say they’d given that other appointment to someone else. Doesn’t give you confidence about further treatment or experience. Don’t waste your time here. Waiting for a refund for the deposit.

Fantastic experience: The receptionists were so kind and helpful, I called to ask about emergency appointments and they explained it all very clearly and nicely, even though I'm not a patient there. I eventually got an appointment through NHS 111. The receptionists were again friendly and kind in person. The dentist (I didn't catch her name) was great, she properly listened to my concerns of pain despite the tooth looking fine. She investigated and found that my tooth's nerve had died. She explained all my options to me really nicely and answered my questions to help me understand. Even though it was a tough situation, I felt really taken care of my Melcombe Avenue Dental Practice. I think anyone is lucky to be a patient here, so I'd recommend it as a surgery.
