Fantastic experience: Dr. Antonio and Geraldine are amazing! Geraldine did such a great job with my cleaning and explained everything really clearly, which made me feel super comfortable. Antonio walked me through the treatment options and made sure I understood what would work best for me. I’m using aligners now and I’m honestly so happy with the results already. They’re both really professional but also super friendly, which makes every visit easy and stress-free. Highly recommend them!

Negative experience: I booked a general dental examination and ended up waiting 55 minutes past my appointment time. The experience was extremely disappointing. I came in concerned about one tooth, but the dentist started hitting several teeth with a heavy tool to “check if they were loose”, a method that felt aggressive and potentially damaging. Even more concerning, he seemed ready to dismiss me without performing the full general examination I had booked. I had to insist that he actually examine my overall dental health. The whole experience felt rushed and unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: I'm currently going through a course of treatment here. I have to say this is an amazing practice. The reception team are really friendly and the building is really relaxing with plenty of windows to gaze through while pondering treatment. :-) Katherine, the hygienist is simply exceptional. My gums were in pretty good condition but at my previous hygienist (at a different practice) I was spitting out blood after their rushed and rough treatment that left my mouth sore for days. Katherine however was the complete opposite... She took her time and was so gentle and... no blood or follow up pain. I am no longer dreading the hygienist. George, the dentist, is also every bit outstanding. At my initial consult he highlight 2 fillings that he knew from his experience were causing me trouble. I never mentioned them initially, but he was right, they needed treatment as they always had caused me bother. He is a very friendly, relaxed and confident dentist, qualities I value to keep me calm. A treatment plan was provided up front detailing all of the costs. There was no sales pressure and I felt free to book every appointment on my own schedule. As I write this George has completed one filling yesterday and he spent an hour making it just perfect. You can tell he loves his job. The tooth feels fantastic today and my tooth is very grateful. :-) My take away is to be careful of NHS dentists that offer private treatment. In my opinion, their private fees aren't transparent and you tend to accept them when in the chair for an NHS checkup. As a fully private practice I think PermDent are fully transparent with there pricing which must encourage them to be competitive. Yes it is a expensive, but so is all dentistry. Worth every penny for the highly motivated, exceptional team here. I can't recommend this practice enough.

Positive experience: The staff are consistently lovely and highly professional, and I appreciate that I am usually seen on time. They also speak perfect Spanish or English. Easy to book appointments on the app. However, I've noticed a significant increase in prices, which has made the services less competitive. I'm also concerned about the frequent attempts to upsell additional services, often before an assessment is even conducted. For instance, I was advised to schedule hygiene appointments every 4 months instead of the usual 6, despite having no plaque issues. This approach feels more focused on sales than on patient care, which I believe is not ethical in healthcare.

Negative experience: My cleaning from sit down to stand up was 18 minutes. I was charged £30 additional for a treatment I didn’t at any point agree to/say yes to. I paid £120 for 18 minutes. Never again!

Fantastic experience: If you want, then read both the short and long versions: Short Version: Excellent customer service, easy-to-find, affordable prices, and the dentist, George Papagrigorakis, was very professional and knowledgeable about cavities and dental restoration. Overall, I had a very positive experience and would revisit him. Extended Version: I resided in Oxford and visited a local dental boutique for a hygiene session and dental examination. Their female dentist told me I had a cavity that needed to be treated ASAP. I tried to find a quick dental appointment in my area, but most practices I phoned and emailed told me they would be available only after July 2024. All of them required multiple bookings for an assessment and treatment. When I called the clinic on Wednesday, 20th June 2024, at 09:00 a.m., I was pleasantly surprised by their prompt response. The receptionist informed me that they could accommodate an evaluation and treatment on the same day. I scheduled an appointment for 15:20 and sent my diagnosis and X-rays in advance, which the clinic had provided me. This was in case the examining dentist, George Papagrigorakis, wanted to review them. George looked into the treatment plan that the practitioner from Oxford suggested and compared the scans I provided him with the ones he took. The diagnosis from Oxford mentioned that there was a cavity in the Upper left premolar. After a first assessment, George told me he could not find cavities in the Upper Premolars. I asked him if he was sure, and he replied why don't you call the practice that misdiagnosed you and ask on which side you have the cavity and which of the premolars needs to be threatened? I called the dental boutique from Oxford, and after a 10-minute conversation with their receptionist, I asked for an explanation as their dentist did not mention in which of the Upper premolars was the cavity. Their receptionist checked my medical history and told me that their dentist had found a cavity in the Upper Left Premolar 5. George conducted a comprehensive examination, taking another round of X-rays and rechecking my teeth. He compared all three scans and concluded that there was nothing wrong with any of my teeth. He explained in detail that he could not find any hole or cavity in the tooth that the previous dentist had diagnosed as needing immediate treatment. His thoroughness and clear communication were reassuring and left me with a sense of confidence in his professional judgment.
