Chilwell Dental - Beeston Dentist

Fantastic experience: I took my kids to the dental information session where they were taught about hygiene and how diet can affect your teeth. The lady was lovely and very patient with them, and had them engaged the whole time. They got a little goodie bag with a timer. My youngest broke his immediately but they replaced it straight away. I cannot stress how useful the session was and how accommodating the staff are.

Fantastic experience: This is a very friendly practice and Vanessa my dentist does everything she can to make the visit as stress free as possible. Very helpful info on oral hygiene and thorough check up. The lady in with Vanessa (sorry didn’t catch name) taking copious notes on the state of my teeth and possible future treatment. Also very friendly.

He provides reassurance, peace of mind and the best dental care around, taking time with each patient to explain the treatment plan and gain agreement. Wonderful. Couldn't recommend enough. Thank you Ash for being amazing and always a high quality service. The practice will always try to accommodate appointments and work with you to arrange. The dental plan is good value. Great.

Negative experience: My god this place is awful. The only NHS dentist left in the area and they have now cancelled 3 appointments over a span of 6 months. I’ve been left without a checkup now for over a year.

Negative experience: Had an appointment at 8:20am turned up for it but the actual Orthodontist hadn’t turned up for work so I couldn’t get my teeth looked at! Had to rearrange the appointment in the hope that they turn up next time.

The dentist listened to everything I said and explained everything so I knew what was going to happen. Every staff member was so kind to my baby girl when she was upset. Payments options mean I have the freedom of choice, I could go on! I can’t thank this practice enough!

Positive experience: All the staff are friendly and both dentist and hygienist are really thorough and do a great job. Prices, particularly for the hygienist, go up every time we visit and it is now so expensive we have cut down how often we go, which is a pity. We have never missed an appointment and we don't like being forced to pay a deposit. This all seems to be down to the fact they are now part of a group. Like vets this seems to lead to massive increases in prices. Not good . 5* for the staff. 1* for the prices and group policies .

Fantastic experience: I saw Vanessa today, she explains everything so well and makes sure you know the options available regarding treatment. She is extremely patient and kind and always tries to make sure you are comfortable during examinations and treatment. She is amazing with my daughter and she’s managed to treat her successfully even when she’s been worried about treatment, doing everything she can to make it as easy as possible for her.

Negative experience: Nice staff and good treatment but terrible customer service. I booked using their online booking system and selected an NHS Checkup. I had the checkup and then was told that I'd just had a private checkup. No further explanation given. Not good

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr. Soheil today for quite a complex extraction and bridge fitting, which needed sorting at short notice. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I could be seen quickly and start treatment sooner than originally scheduled. The treatment and all procedures went very well. I'm very pleased with the aesthetic look and the fit of the new tooth. It looks fab now! Soheil and the lovely dental Nurse put me at ease throughout the time I was in the surgery. I'd highly recommend this practice for professional and courteous care with a positive outcome. Thanks again, Soleil and Dr. Ash and the team! See you in a few months!

Negative experience: Friendly welcome and efficient appointment. Felt slightly condescending to be told that I could have just one further appointment to have a deep clean as I am an NHS patient. This was after being told I should visit more than once a year to see the hygienist (available to private patients). When booking for this appointment I was told that my preferred time due to my working pattern is usually only available to children, being after school finish times. As I have no urgent concerns I was happy to wait but didn't want to have to take time off to do it at an earlier time. I feel I would have received better service should I choose to pay to become a private patient.

Negative experience: I completed Invisalign with this practice a year ago. I booked a final review of my teeth as I thought I might need extra trays under warranty due to pregnancy possibly moving my teeth despite wearing my retainers. The dentist I usually saw reviewed my teeth, confirmed I didnt need extra trays and I thought that was the end of it. However, I was charged for this final service as it was considered a dental exam and despite me explaining I did not need an exam and wasnt aware I was to have one and all I wanted was my Invisalign reviewed, I was charged £66 which on maternity leave is significant! I have tried to contact the dental practice manager via email for 2 in two months since this occured in January to complain and request a refund and have been fully ignored. I rate the practice 1 star and think its nasty to charge someone for an unexpected, unnecessary service when it was not properly explained. Shame on the manager for ignoring me and the distress caused by having to use funds i did not have to spare. Go elsewhere, I say. -Mrs Marlow

Positive experience: I've had an appointment before, which went really well. 6 months later I got an email to rebook, and I rebooked online. I had a screenshot of the booking confirmation and everything. I went in, only to find out that they had no knowledge of this, and that there was no availability! It seems like there is a problem with their booking website. It really sucked because I had to take time off to come in since they do not work on the weekends. They need to fix their booking platform, as I suspect I'm not the only one this has happened to.

Fantastic experience: My dental problems are more complicated and troublesome than , but I am very grateful to Dr. Rocky for his attentive treatment. He is very experienced and does a good job in dental surgery. In addition, the nurse, May, is also very careful to explain the details of the treatment and provide me with care, so this clinic All these two doctors and nurses are really worth it. If you have any dental problems in the future, you should come back to them for treatment. I have seen other dentists before, and I can say that this is the best dental nurse clinic I have encountered in the UK.

Positive experience: Cracked tooth on Sunday- on Monday asked for emergency appointment. Originally got Tuesday slot but then received call of cancellation so attended late Monday. Wonderful dentist- Soheil. He identified issue and agreed to do filling immediately. All good- sorted and very pleased with service. - Colin

Negative experience: Worsening service throughout the last few years since Mr McDaid left the practice, I seemed to see a different dentist each appointment, this downward trend culminated in a letter prior to a forthcoming appointment informing me that NHS patients will no longer be a priority and I should sign up to a payment plan for my dental care. I turned up to my appointment to be told they had to cancel the appointment as the dentist had to go to London to sort out his work visa, they tried to call but had my old phone number, however they were perfectly capable to email me to remind me of my forthcoming appointments, so why did they not attempt to email me as well? If they were still working for the NHS I would have accepted that these things can happen but the fact they were trying to get me to sign up to a monthly payment plan for my dental care I would have expected better service than this. I will not be using their services again.

Positive experience: Poky; surprisingly had a very expensive 3d scanner used in conjunction with Zenith dental practice. Had a scan and nothing else so can't be any more helpful

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to the practice today to have one of my old fillings from the mid 90’s replaced. Rocky and May (apologies if thats not spelled correctly) were fantastic, they really make you feel comfortable are really pleasant and polite. Jane on the front desk was also a really big help explaining the process of treatment plans etc and got me all setup with my future visits.

Negative experience: Not a very good customer service experience with this place. First we made an appointment for our child. Then several days later it was automatically canceled without a phone call. Then we called and they said they probably are not taking children, but they will get back to us. Then they never got back to us. We ended up at Wollaton Dental and are very happy.

They have been marvellous in fitting me in and, as always, providing excellent treatment. I am now fine and not expecting anymore dental issues until my check up in September. Thank you. I have now just had my September check-up all went well with excellent service. I have just had my March check up, it went well, no work needed. Once again I was met by pleasant receptionist and then escorted to my dentist. Thank you.
