Fantastic experience: Great experience. My dentist Roan has done my filling very professionally, no issues at all, very attentive and knows what she’s doing. No fuffing about, job done, friendly and professional. Highly recommend.

Positive experience: On the whole this visit with a trainee dentist was fine, however I was told that I will need further treatment to get either an extraction, then a plate or implant done but that was all. No explanation about the pros and cons of each option or more importantly cost. I’ll need to book another appointment to discuss this with a dentist

Fantastic experience: Always a polite, professional and caring service from the team from my experiences. Reception is looking particularly festive right now, but it often reflects different events or celebrations - it is a nice touch :)

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, luxury facilities and you always feel like you are a private patient even if you are an NHS patient, treated with lots of time, respect and clear explanations on what is happening. Also the only dentist I have ever been to that has a TV in the ceiling to distract you from any work going on. They also offer far more than dental work now which is good for those wishing to indulge in cosmetic procedures with professionals.

Fantastic experience: After years of procrastination, I finally decided it was time to get the treatment I knew I needed. Though I could have chosen a clinic connected to Christmas lunch, I’m glad I opted to stay in the UK for my procedure. I felt nervous initially, but the staff were incredibly supportive and alleviated all my concerns. I expected to be in agony the day after spending 2.5 hours in the chair, but to my surprise, I wasn't in pain at all. Even with temporary implants while I heal, I already wish I had done this years ago because my confidence is already beginning to return. The treatment and aftercare were excellent. The team called me in the morning to check on how I was feeling and if I needed anything. It was a brilliant clinic experience.

Fantastic experience: As a relatively new patient with Portlethen Dental Care, I would like to say how happy I am that I moved practice. This being due to my old dentist not being able to remove the root of a tooth badly infected by an abscess. I was very apprehensive about going to a new dentist (as I’m a bit of a coward) but that soon went away when I met Geoff . Straight away he was very reassuring & understanding but more importantly I felt confident in his ability, so much so that I decided to leave the practice I had been with for over 50 years. Since becoming a patient I’ve had a tooth implant & would wholeheartedly recommend a visit to speak to Geoff if this is something you are thinking of doing. His knowledge & skill in this field is fantastic. I’ve just recently had 6 veneers replaced & I’m beyond happy with my them. I can smile with the confidence that my teeth look so good. The best decision I’ve made this year.

Fantastic experience: We are really pleased to have found this dental practise having moved back from the US. The professionalism and expertise is world class. There is a very positive vibe and a great feeling of friendly efficiency as soon as you enter the modern facility. The teeth cleaning procedures were very thorough using the latest airflow technology (extra cost over NHS) and my wife’s very expensive US made appliance needed adjustment which was very expertly done by the chief dentist Jeff. It’s good to know we are in such good hands this side of the pond.

Fantastic experience: I came in with a broken tooth, just expecting to get looked at and future treatment booked up. I was pleasantly surprised when the dentist who saw me told me they could complete the repair there and then. They were able to repair my tooth and furthermore the repair was completed in such a way that I didn’t need to be numbed and it was completely pain free. I was over the moon!

Fantastic experience: I had my appointment with Dr Chang today and as someone with dental anxiety he reassured me before, during and after my appointment. He took time to explain my potential treatment plan and was transparent with costs. Definitely one of the better experiences I have had.

Fantastic experience: I honestly can’t fault this practice From the reception staff to the Dentists and the hygienist I had a loose implant recently and called them to get it seen to. I had an exray then treatment to tighten the implant the following week visited the hygienist who was absolutely great and did the scale and polish with no water as I have a fear of choking I must say I will be keeping up my hygiene appointment every 6 months and thanks to Geoff for being so patient with me and Hannah

Negative experience: I will not be coming back here and will be looking for another dentist. I used to have a dentist here who was brilliant however he has unfortunately left. I had a hygiene clean recently where I was left with an excessive amount blood for the rest of the day. The hygienist hardly spoke a word to me and was my first hygiene clean and wasn’t at all reassuring. What’s worse is that it cost £72 for what I can only describe as a botched job as it didn’t alleviate the problem I had. For my check up I was told to bring my son to help expose him to the environment, however on arrival they were confused as to why I was bringing him and turns out they didn’t even put him on the system for the appointment. I appreciate he is young but I almost felt like I was in the wrong bringing my child in. I had my check up I was offered x/rays and was offered to me as what I assumed was part of the service (my partner was there too and he also got this impression). Well I’m glad when I left I checked with reception to be told I had to pay for them. I did advise that the dentist should be advising patients whilst in the chair that this isn’t a free service as I wouldn’t have had them done if this was the case. The main reason being I know their x rays are terrible and desperately need upgrading. My dad went here and had a horrific experience where the dentist essentially abandoned his root canal procedure half way through, they didn’t refer him to a specialist WEEKS later, in the end he went himself to the specialist as you can imagine he was having issues with his teeth and pain. Oh and by the way they still charged him for the botched job where the root canal shouldn’t have even been started in the first place. Turns out their x rays are terrible and should be updated (I am not sure if they have been upgraded since but I do hope so since they have expanded into the old police station). Avoid this dentist if you can.

Fantastic experience: Travelled by Ferry and took the number 8 bus. Arrived early at the clinic and had the most thorough session with Dental hygienist prior to Dr Geoffrey carrying out two extractions and placing 3 implants. The procedure was for six teeth to be supported on 3 implant. It was a wonderful experience witnessing Dr Geoffrey lead his team into such well coordinated procedures involving bone augmentation if and where needed. While in the chair Dr Geoff at all times ensured a pain free experience. A removable temporary denture was moulded to ensure the smile until crowns to be fitted after approximately three months. I was given most clear 'After Care' instructions' including medicines to be taken for a few days. We walked out and took the 8X bus back to union square and shopping before sailing home at 5pm. Many thanks to all the Staff. It is a very relaxing experience from Reception onwards and Dr Geoffrey very clearly answered any questions that i had.. looking forward to next visit . Gordon Kynoch.

Fantastic experience: Had only a consulation but wow,felt well looked after,well informed and believe if I went for further treatment I would not be disappointed.

Positive experience: Can't fault the service at reception or in the dentist chair but the, to me, over use of air freshener takes my breath away,.....mind you I do have COPD, but this doesn't seem to be a consideration when it comes to people with breathing problems use the dentist's services. Can't fault things in any other way

I developed the utmost confidence that Geoff would overcome whatever problems my failing teeth presented. With my new set of implants I can now bite, chew, smile and talk forgetting all about my teeth for the first time in years. The old idiom of "The proof of the pudding is in the eating" comes to mind. Fantastic experience: Broke a tooth, usually see Geoff who is the best dentist I have ever been seen by. Today I was seen by Ajmal assisted by Ajmi they were equally amazing. They had me very relaxed, explained everything. The quality of work was brilliant. Finding great dentist is hard, but to find a practice with multiple great people like dentists, nurses and reception staff feels like serendipity. My advice would be this is definitely the place to go.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic practice. The whole team is so helpful from front of house to the clinical team. They are local to me but I would not hesitate to travel if that wasn't the case. Excellent service at all times. I recently had some dental implants at the practice. I am so happy with the result. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. Geoff is my specialist dentist and Hannah is my superb hygienist, however, all of the team is united in doing the best for their patients.

Fantastic experience: My first visit to Mr Chang and his lovely assistant Jen (I think?) was at ease straight away, and didn't have that dreaded feeling of going to the dentist. The reception team are lovely, the waiting room is light and airy with comfy chairs.

Fantastic experience: Very positive experience from the minute you walk in the door. There is a pleasant ambience when you enter, the receptionists are friendly and the seats in the waiting area are SO comfortable. Can't say that I enjoy the hygienist poking and prodding at my teeth and gums with various sharp instruments but I always come away feeling that my teeth are sparkly and clean. Love it also when Geoff tells me my teeth are good and he doesn't need to see again for six months. I can't recommend Portlethen Dental Care highly enough.

Fantastic experience: This dental surgery is the best! I had a lot of problems with my last practice closer to where I live. Time to change and I’m so glad I did. From the moment the receptionist made my appointment to fit in with my travel arrangements, to booking in on the day, the hygienist appointment, right through to Geoff and his most efficient dental nurse. Their equipment is modern and the whole experience makes for a very calming environment.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Portlethan dental for approx 15 years. As always Hannah the hygienist was patient , kind, friendly an done her job excellently. The reception staff are always helpful, friendly and do their best to accommodate with appointment's.

Fantastic experience: Had a bridge replaced by Dr Willie Chang. He was amazing . Really put me at ease as I was nervous bout this procedure. He even went out his way on my final appointment to fit it on his lunch break . He’s just the best . Even reception staff and Hannah my hygenist. They are a credit to the practice .

Fantastic experience: After having crooked front Teeth and crowns and bridges it was time to get these sorted. I got Willie and Geoff to have a look at what we could do. They came up with a plan to give me implants to give me a nice set of front teeth (6 front). After a lot of work and healing I have finally got my new front teeth. I am very impressed with the final results I could not have asked for better, the way both Willie and Geoff have treated me and gone through the process I cannot fault them. I would definitely recommend getting any work done here, And I will be looking to get more work done in the near future. Never had any issues at that practice, great bunch of people and very accommodating.
