Fantastic experience: Myself, my partner, and our son all see Geoff, and we honestly couldn’t ask for a better dentist. He’s professional, gentle, and always takes the time to explain things clearly. Hannah, the hygienist, is also fantastic – thorough, kind, and really puts you at ease. And not to forget Lynsey on reception, who is always welcoming, smiling, and so helpful. From start to finish, the whole team make every visit a really positive experience.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic practice. The whole team is so helpful from front of house to the clinical team. They are local to me but I would not hesitate to travel if that wasn't the case. Excellent service at all times. I recently had some dental implants at the practice. I am so happy with the result. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. Geoff is my specialist dentist and Hannah is my superb hygienist, however, all of the team is united in doing the best for their patients.

Hannah was very gentle when carrying out the procedure and I was given a cheery send off when the work was completed. Fantastic experience: My first visit to Mr Chang and his lovely assistant Jen (I think?) was at ease straight away, and didn't have that dreaded feeling of going to the dentist. The reception team are lovely, the waiting room is light and airy with comfy chairs.

Fantastic experience: Very positive experience from the minute you walk in the door. There is a pleasant ambience when you enter, the receptionists are friendly and the seats in the waiting area are SO comfortable. Can't say that I enjoy the hygienist poking and prodding at my teeth and gums with various sharp instruments but I always come away feeling that my teeth are sparkly and clean. Love it also when Geoff tells me my teeth are good and he doesn't need to see again for six months. I can't recommend Portlethen Dental Care highly enough.

Fantastic experience: This dental surgery is the best! I had a lot of problems with my last practice closer to where I live. Time to change and I’m so glad I did. From the moment the receptionist made my appointment to fit in with my travel arrangements, to booking in on the day, the hygienist appointment, right through to Geoff and his most efficient dental nurse. Their equipment is modern and the whole experience makes for a very calming environment.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Portlethan dental for approx 15 years. As always Hannah the hygienist was patient , kind, friendly an done her job excellently. The reception staff are always helpful, friendly and do their best to accommodate with appointment's.

He even went out his way on my final appointment to fit it on his lunch break . He’s just the best . Even reception staff and Hannah my hygenist. They are a credit to the practice .

Fantastic experience: After having crooked front Teeth and crowns and bridges it was time to get these sorted. I got Willie and Geoff to have a look at what we could do. They came up with a plan to give me implants to give me a nice set of front teeth (6 front). After a lot of work and healing I have finally got my new front teeth. I am very impressed with the final results I could not have asked for better, the way both Willie and Geoff have treated me and gone through the process I cannot fault them. I would definitely recommend getting any work done here, And I will be looking to get more work done in the near future. Never had any issues at that practice, great bunch of people and very accommodating.

Negative experience: The Hygienist is very good and I have no complaints with her service. However, I am disgusted and outraged at the continued increase to the cost of this service. It has more than doubled in the last 6 years! I understood the need for the price to increase during the Covid 19 pandemic due to the extra PPE but this is no longer required (therefore the overall cost should have come down) yet you have seen fit to increase the cost from £35 in 2019 to £72 in 2025. You are completely taking advantage of those of us that are willing to pay for good oral health and I will be looking into the cost for this service elsewhere. To say I’m unhappy is an understatement!

Fantastic experience: My experience was great, superb, excellent named all the good reviews and you'll experience what they are capable of fixing your problem. My story was amazing and unforgettable experience, I'm scheduled to fly to London on Tuesday but unfortunately my inner tooth is giving me a terrible pain which I didn't sleep for almost two nights, cause it happens Saturday afternoon when I feel this terrible beating pain. And dental practice is all closed knowing there is a 24 hours service. So i Went there on Monday morning and I've asked if they can help me. What an amazing approachable staff they have. Even they were fully booked they managed to squish me in, in that day and pulled my teeth off. Suffering that pain in two nights and managed to help me in that same day I've asked for help. 10/10 score for the staff and to my dentist for his gentle handling, no pain at all. Thank you. Positive experience: The appointment went fine, just gutted at the far, far too high prices for dental treatment especially for those living on a pension.

Negative experience: I turned up on time and after waiting 15 mins Though I would wait to see when I would be called, I then went to reception, and was asked if I could wait another 10 mins. 20 mins later my patience expired, went back to reception and rebooked

Fantastic experience: In spring/summer 2024 I received the best care from Anthony (Dr Dagnall) and Laura getting my dream smile. I got 10 veneers done and i was soo nervous about this treatment. Given what i wanted I know a lot of prep of the teeth would be required but Anthony explained everything so well to me. They made everything as painless as possible and it was always such a welcoming environment when I arrived. Laura and Anthony work so well together, and it felt like I was always in good hands. They took amazing care of me during and after my treatment and if anything didn’t feel right Anthony made sure it was sorted. I can’t recommend portlethen dental and Anthony and Laura enough. Such lovely people who are incredible at what they do, absolute professionals

Negative experience: I have never spoken to such a rude receptionist in all my life. Cannot comment on actual dental care as the receptionist was so rude I was unable to actually book an appointment. Avoid this practice if you would like to talk to a nice helpful receptionist.

After having to go in for an emergency appointment to drain an abscess, I was introduced to Charlotte who did this perfectly, I also got the root canal a few weeks later by her. Positive experience: I found the staff all very pleasant and professional. As dentists go I had a stressfree appointment and was provided with an honest and clear treatment plan going forward. My only negative was the car park had not been cleared of ice and snow and was treacherous to walk on.
