Fantastic experience: I was very nervous before a tooth extraction but I didn’t need to have been. The dentist and his team were so gentle and supportive whilst also being professional and efficient. I am very happy and impressed with the experience

Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience doing Invisalign teeth straightening with Dr Emmanuel Lazanakis. He was very knowledgeable from start to finish and gave me great advice on how to get the best from my treatment. I am really pleased with the results which have given me a real confidence boost! I would advise anyone who is considering Invisalign teeth straightening to research into the process as it does require real commitment and is not a quick fix if you want good results.

Fantastic experience: I was referred here by my own Dentist to have a tooth extraction which I was dreading. However I had a very good experience. The injections were painless, the tooth extraction quick and painless. I didn’t feel rushed and was given time to ask questions, the procedures were explained fully to me and everyone made me feel as relaxed as was possible in the circumstances. I do now feel a bit wobbly and am taking the dentist, Dr Fahad Jamil’s advice to take it easy for the rest of the day!

Fantastic experience: Having been terrified of dentist's since age 14 and not having any dental interactions till reaching 64 it was a leap of faith. My mother had been referred to this establishment when her dentist was unable to deal with a procedure at the time she was 92. She was eager to use this practice since then. I was in constant pain and they skillfully managed my fears. After an initial consultation a plan of action was initiated. Now 3 years later I am pain free and completely at ease with all aspects of my dental health. Reception staff, Hygienist and Dentistry are to the highest degree of professional skill.

Fantastic experience: I had a wisdom tooth extracted last week by Dr Fahad Jamil. As I’d never had a tooth extracted before (and the root was close to the nerve) I was nervous to say the least! As soon as I entered the surgery, the reception staff were wonderful (as always). When I went in for the extraction, Dr Jamil was AMAZING! I didn’t feel a single injection and I’ve had quite a few oral injections in the past which I have always felt! The extraction itself was quick and I honestly didn’t feel a thing! I was out within 10 minutes. There was a little swelling that evening and the following day but hardly any pain at all! I have other wisdom teeth to be extracted in the near future and I certainly won’t be worried at all now! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with West Hove Dental Clinic when I visited this week. The staff are very friendly and Mr Jamil, the dentist I saw was lovely. He put me at ease and explained everything through out the procedure.

Fantastic experience: Got referred for a wisdom tooth extraction and it was the easiest, pain-free appointment I’ve ever had. The staff are super friendly and lovely and eased my anxiety as soon as I walked through the door. I’ve had terrible experiences at my last dentist, so I have quite bad anxiety when it comes to dental appointments. The anaesthetic and extraction itself took maximum 5 minutes in total, if that. Thank you for putting me at ease! If only they had NHS spaces available, I’d be queuing at the door!

Fantastic experience: Referred by my NHS dentist for a tooth extraction, got appointment in a week and Fahad was great reassuring me and checked in with me during the process only took 10 mins .A couple of paracetamol that night all good after 48 hours .

Fantastic experience: Cony Caravotas is an absolute craftswoman. She has transformed my awful deteriorating bottom teeth back into a very natural set again as if age and wear had not occurred. The colour is so appropriate and matching my other teeth. She is such an amazing woman, caring, gentle, thorough and imaginative. She talks one through the process and is so reassuring. Fantastic experience: I was referred to Dr Fahad Jamil by my own dentist, for a back tooth extraction, because the tooth had complications. I was extremely nervous about the procedure but both the dentist and the dental nurse were constantly reassuring me and the extraction was very quick and painless. Fantastic experience: I have seen Veta for each of my appointments and she is so sweet and kind. I have TMJ which means I am unable to open my mouth wide for long and so I can imagine I am quite a pain for dentists. However, Veta always makes me feel welcome and calm. Recently I had to have a filling put in and she made me feel very relaxed and calm as she worked away. I am so grateful to have found such a lovely dentist. Highly recommend Veta to any nervous customers x

Fantastic experience: I have seen Dr Fahad Jamil twice now and he has been very gentle and reassuring. Both he and his assistant were very professional and talked me through what they were doing at all times. He also gave me very good aftercare advice. The clinic is very clean and modern and the staff on arrival are helpful and welcoming. Nobody enjoys going to the dentist but it was as good as it could be!

Negative experience: Had a root canal treatment with Bruno Costa. He doesn't explain anything, I expected to have one tooth treated and in the end found out he treated another, without warning me or explaining why he needs to work on another tooth other than the one I had a complain about. Didn't show me my X-rays either to explain what's going on.

Fantastic experience: 2 wisdom teeth out within 6 minutes of arriving. Zero pain and the people/dentists are brilliant!

Fantastic experience: I was referred here yesterday to have a wisdom tooth extracted. The oral surgeon was Faizal Sameja. Lovely guy. I was scared and I was in pain with this tooth for several weeks beforehand. After the anaesthetic kicked in, the actual extraction took about 5 minutes, if that. He was so skilful and his assistant was also very reassuring. In fact it was so quick and I was so relieved I think I laughed! All the staff I met at this dental practice were calm, efficient and friendly. I was expecting to be in pain last night and today but I have only taken 2 paracetamol since.

It goes quicker than you think and it’s just so worth it, the before and afters are amazing, I’m so pleased with the results! Fantastic experience: Just to say that I am so so impressed with this practice! I had to have a complicated wisdom tooth removal which I was absolutely dreading. From the minute I got inside, the woman on reception was absolutely lovely and did all she could to reassure me and calm my nerves. Dr Dimitrios Soultos was the surgeon who did the procedure and he was so lovely, when I got there he explained everything that could be done and gave me the option to know about each step as he was doing it. He gave me little breaks from the work so that it wasn’t too much and the nurse working with him was reassuring me the whole time. The whole experience was amazing for a procedure that is pretty nasty- would definitely recommend coming here for any dental work you need doing!

Negative experience: I had an extraction booked in with DR.FAHAD JAMIL. He made absolutely zero effort to make any small talk or conversation to check in with me whatsoever. Seemed very rushed and aggressive in his manner. Gave me the injection, very rushed. I tried explaining that I had a phobia of dentists, again, showed no compassion or any effort to calm my nerves. He then tried to initiate the procedure. I moved my head a tiny bit, and he stopped straight away and said that he can’t do the procedure as I’m moving my head. No trying to settle or assure me it was going to be ok. I then got up and told him I think he needs to work on his bedside manner, to which he replied “you should take better care of your teeth” !! I’m absolutely shocked by this, I’ve never left a bad review for anyone. But just feel it’s very important people are aware of how the “Dr.” Works.. he was in a huge rush, and had zero compassion. Nice one FAHAD, nice work! I had taken 2 days off work for this and had to arrange childcare. AVOID THIS DR AT ALL COSTS

Fantastic experience: Went today just for a little check-up and my dentist Dr. Kapoor was FANTASTIC, super friendly and had lots of helpful video’s on how to floss. Also the receptionists were so lovely and super speedy !

Positive experience: Excellent service but not so much for reception. Been on hold for nearly two hours, finally got to one in the queue from three and still another 25 minutes later still on hold,my phone bill is going to cost a fortune this month

Negative experience: Was referred to see someone regarding root canal Dentist was so rude, it was as if I was wasting his time! He then told me total opposite of what my dentist told me . Left confused !

Fantastic experience: Just had a tooth extraction by Farhad, wow in and out in 15 minutes. No discomfort at all. Brilliant experience for the nervous person that I am. And seen on same day as I got the message too phone.

Negative experience: I am a private patient of this clinic and called to book an appointment for hygienist, filling,invisalign and whitening, the only available appointment was mid October wooow unbelievable today is 20th of Jun, I don't get it.

Negative experience: Whenever I went to this surgery I was in pain, came back with a lot of pain. It is a clean, place; the people are friendly but the outcomes of the treatment is opposite.

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous when arriving at the surgery as I was about to have my implant placed, first time ever. All the receptionist were lovely, friendly, especially Sharon, who I was in contact with and who arranged everything for me. I have had my implant placed by Dimitri , he is a great implantologist. He and his nurse, Penny really took good care of me by reassuring me with everything. As soon as I sat in this chair I felt I am in good hands and there is nothing to worry about. He talked me through everything. The procedure was done perfectly without any pain or any worry. If I ever need an other implant I will definitely return to Sussex Dental Group and Dimitri . Well done team, keep up the good work :)

Fantastic experience: Dr. Bruno Costa performed my route canal via refferal. I suffer from anxiety when in the chair, and he was very accommodating and patient with me and worked fast. A BIG thank you to Dr. Costa and the West Hove team.

I've been seeing George for years now, he is a fantastic dentist, very reassuring and I have always had a great outcome, I had to have a tooth out last year and this was also an excellent service and the dentist I saw was brilliant. Negative experience: I found the receptionists to be quite blunt, rude and rather patronising. If possible, it would be good for patients to be notified if the dentist is running late. To be quite honest, I found the whole experience off putting..having friendly and welcoming staff would make the whole experience more pleasant..especially for those who are anxious in such settings. Having said that, I appreciate your efforts for working in a stressful job.

Fantastic experience: I've recently moved to this practice having been so frustrated with shoddy and rude receptionists at two previous surgeries. To be honest, I had started to think that was just the way dental receptionists were, but Sussex Dental Group has really changed my thinking! The practice is light and airy, parking on site, plenty of staff on reception who all seem friendly and efficient. I got text and email reminders about my appointment, and then the dentist herself was friendly and warm and took extra time to really talk me through my cleaning routine, my xrays and my treatment options. It's changed my opinion of Brighton dentists and I would strongly recommend this surgery to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I had broken a piece of tooth off a back molar which was very sharp and making it very difficult to eat and to speak. Also, it was extremely painful and my tongue was swollen & sore. Spoke to Marie who immediately assured me that I could have an appointment with a dentist the following morning and that further treatment, if needed, could quickly be arranged. She was kind, understanding and seemed concerned about my painful mouth and distress, having suffered all over the weekend. I went to the Surgery the following morning and saw the dentist, Chris, who was very kind & considerate, and immediately said that he could sort my tooth out to make it less sharp and more comfortable. He also took X-rays and was very thorough in examining my teeth. He explained what he found, luckily no tooth decay, and he said he would be happy to see me in 6 months time for a checkup. I felt so much happier when I left and was very pleased with the quick and efficient treatment I had received. I will certainly return to the Surgery and am happy to recommend them. Many thanks.
