Fantastic experience: I attended the Synergy Dentist on Blackburn Rd, I was having a difficult procedure but the dentist put me at ease and made sure I was paint free. The staff were supportive and friendly.

Positive experience: Dentist was lovely.She addressed all my issues and concerns. A little disappointed with reception staff who appeared to be pre occupied and were quite rude and abrupt . No please or thank you from them. No smile just generally not engaging. Only because NHS dentists are hard to come by I had to tolerate this but if I did have the choice I would not choose to go there! Customer service training is required !

Fantastic experience: I was suffering with a painful tooth and was not registered to a dentist. I was recommended to use Synergy by a work colleague. There were no appointments when I needed at the Adlington branch but Bolton had availability Great experience. The lady on reception who took my call initially was professional and cheerful and explained what the £30 initial fee covered. When I arrived early the ladies on reception were very friendly. I was seen sooner than my dentist appointment. Mr Patel, the dentist was great. Advised me to have my tooth out which I knew anyway and this was the I overall cheaper equivalent. Numbing done I was taken to for an x-ray and the radiographer was cheerful too. My tooth was removed really quickly and he showed me my tooth. It was definitely an extraction job . I was made to feel at ease and was treated excellently by everyone. Would definitely recommend Thanks Deborah

Negative experience: Very rude dentist - not sure about the name. My appointment was delayed but that didn’t bother me, however, once i went inside, the dentist checked me in less than 5min and only did a ‘scale remover’ after I asked her to do so. She then rushed me out of the room to go and pay because the reception had to close. This is my second visit and on the first one I seen a different doctor and he was lovely, however last night the lady was rude - I’m not intending to see her again. They saying you are under NHS but then they always making recommendations for private treatments.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited Synergy, Blackburn Road, Bolton for a scale and polish. The receptionist greeted me with a smile and was very polite. I was called in within minutes and both the hygienist and her assistant were friendly and made me feel at ease. The process didn't take long and I was happy with the results. Thank you very much.

Fantastic experience: This was my first scale and polish - actually my first dental appointment in a long while - I've never had one before and was initially feeling very nervous and uncomfortable. As it turns out, I had nothing to worry about - the hygienist and assistant I saw were both so accommodating; they explained the whole process, what to expect (including letting me see and test the feeling of how each tool would work before diving in to it), how I could signal I needed a break, and even turned on the tv to give me a distraction and let me take my mind off of things. Throughout the process both women were so efficient, regularly offered to let me have a break, and when the process was done they gave me a full rundown of what to expect in the next few days to assure me it would be perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. They're obviously very well informed and know what they're doing and I honestly do not think I could have asked for a better first experience. My teeth look and feel great - thank you to you both! Additional tid bit of praise for your receptionist, as well - I just couldn't leave her out. She's so lovely and welcoming towards everyone as soon as they walk in, it really put me at ease whilst I was waiting. Everybody I've met here has been absolutely wonderful, I couldn't recommend them enough!

All the staff acted in a very professional matter and answered questions when I asked about procedures I wanted. The doctor who told me about what procedure was best for me and was polite...beyond what I have previously experienced at other dentist. Had a new set of teeth within 2 weeks and I'm over the moon with the outcome.. I would highly recommend this practice for anyone wanting crowns or vaneers. 10/10 ...

Cancelled an appointment well in advance that I had paid a deposit for, requested my money be returned for the deposit, they took my bank details and advised me that the refund will be with me within 21 days, no refund received so contacted them again and they advised me it will take a further 28 days, which is absolutely ridiculous. I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK

Negative experience: The most unprofessional practice. It should be shut down. They refused dental treatment by a Using the excuse of a patients BMI for the inhibilty to extract broken teeth. After receiving a second opinion. A BMI has nothing to do with sedation.

Negative experience: I was referred to this dental practice to have a wisdom tooth extracted. I’m not a nervous patient and am fully aware that the injections to numb the tooth can be a discomfort, however in all my years of going to a dentist I have never had such a terrible experience. I was given 4 injections which were very painful and then within a short space of time was asked if my lips were numb, I told the dentist they were tingling and he proceeded to check my tooth to see if it was numb. It wasn’t and so he gave me another injection which hit the nerve to which I nearly shot out of the chair. My heart rate was pumping out of my chest and I was shaking all over. Goodness knows how a nervous patient would have been. I tried to ask him a question afterwards and he didn’t even look up at me. Perhaps him having to extract my tooth without payment may have played a part in his attitude I don’t know. So glad he’s not my regular dentist

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here the last 2 years. I was a very nervous patient who dreaded anything medical. Mo and his team put me at ease and now I oddly sometimes look forward to coming! Asma and her colleague Kabir have been doing periodontal cleans the last 6-12 months. If you are offered these - do not pass it up. Whilst it can sometimes be uncomfortable it doesn’t hurt and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The staff are so welcoming and pleasant. Thank you

Negative experience: Recent referral due to being an anxious patient and needing sedation to have a tooth removed. The dentist was rude didn't bother and the 2 ladies assisting well one of them had the most aggressive manor and didn't help with my anxiety and the other lady just didn't have patience at all. I will never return here and wouldn't recommend anyone else. The staff are clearly unhappy as on the consultation appointment they where all stood at the reception desk slating each other poor poor poor service. Don't waste your time attending here

Fantastic experience: I decided to attend this dentist due to recommendation from friends, I'm a very nervous patient with a tendency to stop visiting after one appointment. However, this practice made me feel so relaxed and reassured that I look forward to going again and having treatments to get my oral health on track. All the staff have been super friendly and informative, very caring when it comes to nervous patients, I had a deep clean done which I was dreading, but my lovely dentist talked me through it and what to expect, offered me various numbing options and routinely stopped to check I was okay. It was a breeze! Would highly recommend this place, affordable rates for private work which helps! :D

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous needed a filling as my current one had broken. I had a metal filling taken out and replaced with a white filling without an injection. Kabir and Asma put me at ease and it was absolutely fine without the injection (which I don’t like anyway) super job and experience. Thank you

Negative experience: I booked a dental appointment online a week ago for Saturday at 9:30 AM and even paid online. To my surprise, the system showed I had no booking when I checked, despite receiving an email confirmation from the clinic about my appointment. I decided to take leave from work to attend the appointment, only to arrive and find the clinic closed. There was no prior notification via email or any other form of communication to inform me of this closure. I stood outside feeling helpless, frustrated, and extremely disappointed. I only have one day off each week, and now I am still suffering from tooth pain while going to work. When I called their customer service, the attitude was shockingly poor. I requested a refund, but they told me to call again on Monday. Why should I have to call again? If I’ve already explained the situation, the staff should have made a note of it and taken action immediately. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. If I do not receive a refund or further action to address this issue, I will share this experience widely to ensure others are aware of the poor service provided.

Fantastic experience: A massive shout out to Dr Patel! I have had so many issues with my teeth over the years and I have been terrified to go to the dentist! When I plucked up the courage I went to see Dr Patel he was so lovely and so calming, he could clearly see I was nervous and he spoke to me with great care! I have had many treatments and more to have and every treatment I have had he has talked me through, checked on me throughout and just been amazing! I can’t believe I didn’t get him years ago before all my issues started!

Negative experience: I was referred by my regular dentist for a wisdom tooth extraction and having been given an initial appointment it was then cancelled for a new date. ONE HOUR before the rearranged appointment, they phone me to say the surgeon cannot perform the procedure because he's just looked at the X-ray and my tooth is too close to the nerve. They've had 5 weeks to look at the X-ray but decide to look at it just before i set off. Pathetic!

Fantastic experience: I had my temporary veneers fitted and just two weeks later my bespoke ones fitted, I am more than thrilled with the results, As Mohamed promised, it wasn't painful, just a little uncomfortable at the initial appointment. I was so impressed I have recommended Synergy to family and friends and I'm considering getting.my lower jaw done as well Thank you and keep up the good work

Negative experience: I was referred to this practise to have a tooth out that could have caused a problem with the sinus bone. I was given a 3pm appointment on a Friday. At 1pm, I received 2 text messages saying that the appointment had to be cancelled and to ring to rebook. Having been on hold for over 20 minutes, I finally spoke to a man who kept calling me darling, which I object to, and when I asked why the appointment had been cancelled at such a late stage, he said it was because the dentist had to attend Friday prayers. I have no objection to this but why was I booked in for that time and why did it take till 2 hours before for the appointment to be cancelled. I was told the next available appointment was 4 weeks off. I told them not to bother. I do not want anything more to do with this practice.

Negative experience: Was referred by my dentist for an extraction to make clear this wasn't the problem dentist was great. Week later I could feel fragments in my gum I rang and spoke to a person at another clinic as calls had been on divert to them. She booked me in to have it checked as a cancellation. 25 minutes before appt got a text from blackburn rdsaying cancelled I rang several times then the day after spoke to somebody at blackburn rd who say the dentist was off for a few weeks but she'd speak to the other dentist and call back. No explanation for cancellation. 2 days later no callback either After several days the problem has resolved itself but have to say aftercare response has been poor and hope I don't have to use this service again after much unnecessary discomfort and lack of response. ....I understand people are busy but a little more customer care would go a long way

Fantastic experience: I have never felt so at ease at a dentist in my life I am petrified of needles and I have had bad trauma and I went today to have 2 teeth taken out and the people I had today was amazing I would like great feedback to the people I had today I would recommend this dentist with my heart if your scared of needles honestly these change your mind they are amazing thank you for today guys.

Negative experience: This place deserves 0 stars. What a nightmare! I was referred for a complicated wisdom tooth removal, my root is close to horizontal and passes through several nerves. I was referred here as the procedure required sedation. When I arrived, I was given several quick injections and within 2 minutes they began drilling into the tooth. This set huge shocks through my nerves, across my jaw and I asked them to stop. They wouldn't. They told me, I wasn't experiencing pain, this was pressure and asked if that was why I had been referred? Now, having been in the room for a total of 5 minutes and being in agony, they said they would need to refer me for sedation. For the next 3 months I would spend every night waking up in pain, fighting infections and having a huge tole on my mental health. I called up several times asking about my referral. They kept fobbing me off and saying someone would call me back. Eventually, they stopped answering my calls. 3 months later, a fantastic private surgeon told me that tooth could never be removed without sedation due to the entwined nerves. Synergy are a truly awful awful place. They want to try and remove a tooth every 5 minutes regardless of whether it's right. They made me feel responsible for their own inadequacy and they lied and offered me no help. Stay away! In response: Don't blame the referral for your lack of care. It's YOUR job to listen to the patient, when I was explaining this wasn't right. It's YOUR job to carry out the appropriate checks and decide on the best way to proceed. Your lack of ability to own up to these failures is why you've have so many 1 star reviews over the last year. Your 4.2 rating is a reflection of historic ratings, if it was calculated over the last 12 months it would be fittingly, below 2 stars. You should accept the shoddy the service you're providing, the toll it has on your patients and try to improve instead of looking for excuses. Shame.

Negative experience: looking at these reviews a lot of people have had the same experience as me. i do not recommend at all, i was referred here months ago by my dentist for an extraction of a broken tooth. during the space of almost 2 months i have had 3 cancelled appointments, 2 of which were either cancelled the day before or on the day of. they have extremely unprofessional staff on the phones with absolutely no empathy what so ever, especially with extreme toothache and a chunk of my tooth missing for a week. they just explained that ‘the dentist has called in sick and we need to reschedule’. luckily i have now been referred elsewhere that have actually been able to support and assure me. if you get referred here for any dental work done, please contact your dentist and ask to go elsewhere as they will not be able to help you.

Negative experience: Haven't even had chance to use their services - referred to them for wisdom tooth removal and been cancelled on multiple times each time having to wait two weeks for another appointment. The final time they cancelled had multiple members of staff giving conflicting excuses for the cancellation so asked them to cancel the referral and will go to a more professional practice. Looking at other reviews this is a common occurrence...

Negative experience: I paid £30 and book for check up you book 1st 12pm then you call bak and chang to 11.55am I'm arive 5min late waiting on reception 7min to my turn and receptionist told me to 15min late She is ask to dentist by massage thru computer to see me but refused me to see and said book again giveme time 2.45pm I explain I have to go work but still refused me because jast 5min late

Fantastic experience: After breaking my front teeth was in urgent need of sorting them out, though have always been very nervous of dentists. Mo and the team did an amazing job of making me feel at ease, and after 3 crowns i feel so much better. Cannot recommend enough. Thanks Mo!

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible experience. Was sent here from my dentist for an extraction. Had read some reviews about the butcher dentist and unfortunately had him. Should have known when my 6.45pm appointment was changed same day to 5.15pm as the dentist wants to go home early. Despite saying on forms and on arrival that I was a nervous patient he jammed the needles in and unlike any other dentist who gives you 5 to 10 minutes to numb up after 30 seconds he was grabbing my tooth out. I've been swollen and in pain for 36 hours. Hope he had a good night because I didn't as I drove home shaking and crying! And swollen face still!

Negative experience: I’m disappointed I can’t give 0 stars me and my partner went in and had to wait for over an hour whilst there wasn’t even a receptionist for 30 minutes. Finally got seen got a tooth pulled tried to ask the dentist if I can take my medicine on it and did mention it was a blood thinner he said “yes it won’t affect you” took it an hour later and now been bleeding for hours. Maybe if the dentist was actually listening to what I was saying we could of avoided a trip to a&e

Positive experience: I made a complaint regarding my mother and i attending our appointment and the practitioner performing the procedure was not there. synergy staff had texed my mum to cancel, but unfortunately my mother cannot read text due to early signs of dementia, but synergy staff was unaware of this. Negative experience: Absolutely horrendous experience. Male dentist had my Mrs in tears today. She was referred here for an extraction of a broken tooth. The butcher that saw her started pulling and yanking at her within 2 minutes of the anaesthetic injection. After telling him she could feel everything and she was not yet numb he snapped off a part of her tooth! He then said he would need to refer her to the hospital... So just go home in an even worse state than you where in when you arrived and wait god knows how long for another referral letter... The dentist was extremely rude, very abrupt and showed absolutely zero compassion. Definitely the wrong attitude for the line of work he is in! I would not recommend this place, if I could give 0 stars I would have done. Stay away!

Negative experience: I had made an appointment for my mum 'who is disabled' to have a procedure done, only to be turned away because the person performing the procedure wasn't there.... it took us ages to get there because of my mums disability, and the stress and anxiety that went along with it, only to be turned away. We made the appointment in advance. We received no phone call or mail to rearrange the appointment. I was understandably annoyed. It is unacceptable, inconvenience, and very bad business practice. All they had to do was make a quick phone call. I won't be going again, and i will be making a formal complaint

Fantastic experience: Went last Wednesday having been referred from my own dentist. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Dr Wasif and the nurse Elsie were amazing I had two teeth removed whilst I thought I was waiting for the anesthetic to work. I couldn’t believe it, thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: Was so nervous going in for my wisdom tooth removal, Dr W Jamil and nurse Aimee helped me feel at ease, the procedure was so simple and I was in and out in minutes. My health condition means numbing isn’t always successful but the Dr knew about it and used nerve number and I was pain free. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Iv never been the best at looking after my natural teeth and as a result of my neglect due to poor mental health I opted to have my top set removed, I was literally a nervous wreck, had to take 5 mins to get some fresh air cos I thought I was gonna flake out that's even before I stepped into the dentists room lol but all and all I made the best decision to have them removed and I'm actually in love with my denture, I'd like to thank Mr Mo Patel for your kindness and resurrance and your lovely assistance, I know you mean well- thank you all once again.. Now I can smile like a film star, if I can brave it out and have multiple teeth out then I can be more brave and complete the smile with bottom set, really happy highly recommended thank you x

Negative experience: I had two teeth that needed extracting. I rang the emergency dentist, who booked me in for 11am the next morning. Synergy texted me later in the day to say my appointment was pushed to 3:55 that afternoon. I got there, and the receptionist couldn't even find me! Eventually they found me on their system. I had to wait, in a very busy reception until well after 4:25pm. The dentist was a butcher! He would only extract one of my teeth, less than five minutes after he administered the anaesthetic. I could feel the needle going in, for the first time in my life and he couldn't wait to get rid of me. He was rude, and obnoxious. His assistant was pleasant, hence the one star. I think that he was horrible to me because I don't pay for NHS treatment. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

I'm a very nervous patient and Dr Mo put me right at ease from my very first appointment. He explained everything that was needed and was very calming throughout the whole process. Fantastic experience: I was referred here by my dentist for a wisdom tooth extraction. I was absolutely terrified going in but the dentist and assistant kept me calm and talked me through the entire process. I was done within about 3 minutes they literally could not have been any better!
