Fantastic experience: From Crooked to Camera-Ready — My Midlife Smile Makeover At 52, I finally decided to stop blaming my teeth for ducking out of group photos. After a lifetime of living with a “quirky” smile (read: crooked), I took the plunge — and what a journey it’s been! Thanks to Dr. Kukar and the team at iDental, I now sport a Hollywood-worthy grin that’s dazzling enough to confuse close relatives. True story: a family member I hadn’t seen in over a decade didn’t recognise me... because my old teeth weren’t there to give me away! I’d long put off orthodontic treatment, mostly because of the cost and never quite finding the time between life, work, and chewing. Then one day I stumbled across iDental on Groupon and thought, “Surely this can’t be real?” But it was — the price was about a quarter of the best quote I’d gotten previously. Naturally, I assumed I’d be getting quarter-of-a-smile, but instead I got the full upgrade! Dr. Kukar has the patience of a saint — calm, reassuring, and genuinely invested in the outcome. I felt supported every step of the way. The upper set of my teeth is now so perfectly aligned, I sometimes catch myself smiling into reflective surfaces just for fun. Was it easy? No. Living on minced and mashed food for months was humbling — let’s just say I have newfound respect for toddlers. But there was always light at the end of the tunnel (and a future of crunchy snacks waiting), so I hung in there. To anyone considering adult braces or orthodontics: it’s never too late. Negative experience: I don’t recommend getting braces if your gums bleed after brushing which is a mistake I regrettably made. I got braces here, and unfortunately, I’m now suffering from moderate bone loss, gum recession, and periodontal disease—all before the age of 24. This isn’t the orthodontist’s fault, but if you have bleeding gums, it’s crucial to address that first. Braces can exacerbate gum problems because they make it extremely difficult to clean your teeth properly, especially between the brackets. Additionally, you won’t be able to get deep cleanings until your braces are removed so you will end up with built up plaque and tartar throughout the whole of ur braces journey which will end up causing damage to ur gums and surrounding periodontal ligaments . Even if your orthodontist says you’re a good candidate for braces, only proceed if you have no gum-related issues, if you floss at least once a day and if you have a water flosser. I can guarantee that if you have bleeding gums, you’ll likely experience bone loss and gum recession during or after your braces journey. Gum disease will only worsen if it’s not treated beforehand. This clinic will not check if you have any gum-related problems, which is why it’s important to get an X-ray scan and speak to your dentist and hygienist before getting braces. I recommend you only get braces if you have no gum related problems (no bleeding gums, recession or bone loss) for at least 6 months. Getting a deep cleaning before you get braces will not be sufficient as your dental hygiene needs to be top notch for braces. Update: I just discovered that I also have flared teeth—meaning they stick forward at an angle instead of aligning properly, making closing my mouth and even speaking uncomfortable at times. Before getting braces, the only issue I had was one gap. My teeth aligned properly and I never had flared teeth before, but now, after braces, my teeth are definitely worse because of the flaring despite my teeth being straight. For anyone considering braces purely for cosmetic reasons, especially to close minor gaps, my advice would be dont do it. It’s impossible to achieve perfect teeth with braces. You should only get them for health reasons, as they come with way too many risks like the ones mentioned in this review. The dentists might try to convince you to get braces when u tell them your doubts by telling you that this is the best thing youll ever do for your teeth but you need to remember that this is a business so they might not always have your best interests at heart. Sadly, getting braces was the worst decision I’ve made for my teeth.

Fantastic experience: What can I say apart from this 5star rating that should say it all. I have seen many dentists and even had braces as a teen but Rahul is just on another level. Some may say he is straight talking and gets on with it but that’s great and to be honest I’m always having good and friendly chats with him. His attention to detail is superb and even if treatment takes longer than he expects and probably costs his bottom line he will not let you out of his sight until he’s satisfied, let alone you … and sometimes you want it over but his need for perfection may keep you under his excellent care a little longer! Can’t recommend any higher to having your braces or any dental care with Rahul. Don’t delay though … can’t imagine there is any more hours in the day that he can work, he’s so busy! PS. Negative experience: The only positive I have to say about this place is that it’s affordable but in hindsight it’s better to pay extra for a better service and experience. It’s a one man operation, there is only one dentist and a rude receptionist I spoke to when I booked a consultation a year ago ( a red flag I ignored shouldn’t have booked anything). It’s a surprise when someone actually bothers to pick up the phone the communication at this place is so bad. If you’re late for your appointment the dentist will mention it, if he keeps you waiting it’s okay. If you want different coloured chains to choose from your favourite colour or something seasonal orange for Autumn, red and green for Christmas etc you won’t get it at this dentist it’s grey only. Would I recommend? No.

Fantastic experience: Best choice of treatment plan and clinic out of multiple options that I'd researched. I started the treatment in February 2022 and my teeth look amazing! I'd say that I had a mild case of crooked teeth, however, I still did not expect the canines to become straight as they were protruding a lot. Previously, other doctors had told me that I had no option but to extract a couple of teeth to make space, so naturally, I was sceptical when I went to the first consultation. Dr Rahul carefully reviewed my case and advised me that in fact I don't need an extraction as the difference won't be noticeable. We are 1 year later and he was 100% right!! Professional doctor, excellent course of treatment, accurate results forecast. Just go to a first consultation and Rahul will honestly tell you if he can treat you. If you buy the treatment package from Groupon and you're not suitable upon consultation, you'll get your refund anyways. It's life changing, I love my smile (now that I finally have one!!)

Negative experience: I have been recently forced to sadly discontinue treatment at Idental Orthodontists. Whole process took much longer than expected while my orthodontist was consistently late with appointments and seemed uninterested in my concerns. My treatment history was not kept properly. In fact I’m not sure if it exists at all given that when I asked for it for the’doc’ initially tried to convince me that we will see progress in few weeks (I actually heard it few times within last two years of treatment if I think about it) and haven’t emailed it at all despite me asking for it few times. The‘doc’ doesn’t seem to understand that I can’t start new treatment - which btw cost I have to cover again - with other clinic without previous history being provided. I was left with gaps in my teeth that were never addressed. On top of that, the staff was always rude and unprofessional. I don’t leave reviews often but seeing positive feedback here I wouldn’t let myself get someone else to go through what I have myself. Let say I’m little surprised as I know some fellow patients who sadly had similar experience. I hope this will help any potential ‘clients’ because this is how I felt, definitely not as patient. Note following your response to my review: I do appreciate your response and frankly I am not here to argue. I understand as I am a business owner myself that you will be defending it. I know how I have been treated and I don’t wish this kind of service upon anyone. I haven’t mentioned before but when I visited your practice last time to ask if I can get the report emailed as I haven’t had any response to my previous email I felt very uncomfortable. While I was sitting in the waiting room with other ‘patients’ some gentleman wearing joggers showed up behaving strangely. He stood by your door like he was a bodyguard showing his BMW keys and sizing up everyone in the waiting room. I find it hilarious but at the same time intimidating and highly unprofessional that you had to call for the ‘backup’. As I said earlier I require nothing else but my treatment report so I can start sorting out your mess in other clinic. I’m not sure if you are aware but this is my right and your obligation not a favour.If this won’t be provided by the end of this week I will be forced to file official complaint to relevant authorities.

Fantastic experience: I-Dental clinic is great! Dr. R. Kukar is superb! He is simply the best Orthodontist in London! I had my braces with him twice (long story why - my fault of not wearing retainers after my first treatment). My teeth were super crooked and now I always get compliments on my teeth :D The professionalism, the attention to detail, the friendliness and the expertise is on top level! My issue was well assessed and the dentist was very honest with the treatment options whilst informing me in detail about the entire process. Fantastic experience: I originally booked an initial appointment via Groupon for top and bottom braces (silver train tracks). My treatment finished last month as originally expected & was within one year. I'd recommend Dr Rahul Kukar because his consultations were always succinct, he was flexible with bookings and responsive with queries. I'm really pleased with the result and my top & bottom teeth have straightened. I currently wear a fixed wire brace behind my teeth and have removable plastic braces that I wear at night. I hope to wear both for the foreseeable future to prevent much further movement.

Fantastic experience: Really helpful and very attentive. I would say there is a bit of a delay in the waiting room to be expected but on the other hand they are usually very able to squeeze you into their schedule last minute. I had some braces and then permanent retainers placed in and while they did snap a couple times the dentist fixed this for me pretty instantly and ensured all was heading in the right direction. Overall amazing results for the price.

Initially, my treatment was suppose to be 12 months however it was completed in 9 months which I was very happy about. Dr. Kukar was very honest and helpful in answering my question and concerns. Fantastic experience: I had the fixed metal braces on the upper and lower arches to straighten my front teeth. I am pleased with the outcome and received a great level of care from Dr Rahul who was welcoming, explained the procedure beforehand and worked to achieve the best results. Fantastic experience: I recently had fixed metal, top and bottom arch braces fitted at iDental and I have been very impressed by the service and results - only a few months into it and my teeth are already looking very good. Negative experience: BE AWARE! no one ever picks up the phone, so you cannot amend your appt and then are charged 60 quid for not being able too. Expect to be in the waiting room longer than the appt - regularly running late. Zero goodwill for this - always looking for an excuse to charge for something. High churn of patients has lowered the quality, braces not affixed with care - rushed appts. then you are again charged when they break when their not fitted/supported in the first place. forget the deals they get full amount out of you either way. Go elsewhere, less headache.
