Fantastic experience: I went today for the first time, the dentist accepted my x-rays from a previous dentist as I didn't want any further radiation. I felt comfortable ( I'm scared at dentists) and he was nice. I needed a referral to a periodontist which was really expensive for an appointment, when I could have been told about the NHS hospitals. Saying that I contacted them to refer me to the NHS hospital and it was done really quickly which I am really pleased about. Thank you for your assistance today, I wish you was my dentist from a long time ago.

Negative experience: Ron was my NHS-dentist for 3 years and I attended check-ups regularly every 6 months, plus a few extra appointments for fillings. However, I often felt that the checks were only very superficial and cursory, my concerns were usually not properly investigated, and the work done on my teeth was shoddy, rushed and of low quality. Unfortunately, this overall impression was confirmed this year: I went for a check-up and complained about a tooth with a filling as it felt like it might break apart every time I bit on it. I specifically asked for Ron to look at that tooth extra-carefully as I felt there was something wrong with it, as well as the rest of my teeth because I was going on a 2-month holiday in Australia and wanted to make sure I wouldn't run into any trouble while abroad. I expected to be given a dental x-ray because the last one had been almost 2 years ago at that point, but none was done. He just quickly looked in my mouth, assured me all was ok, and sent me away. 6 months later, I went to a new dentist, who was absolutely shocked by the state of my teeth and the clear signs of neglect by my previous dentist, Ron. He took a full hour to investigate and do x-rays, and explain all his findings to me - including the tooth that had bothered me: it was THIS close to needing a root canal treatment due to all the decay underneath the filling. In fact, he told me that he couldn't guarantee he could replace the filling and remove all the decay underneath without doing a root canal, and commented that, had this been treated 6 months earlier at my last check-up - when I was complaining about it to Ron -, we wouldn't be in this situation. I ended up having to re-do 4 fillings over 4 separate 2-hour-sessions that cost me 400 GBP each - because Ron didn't do his job in all the years I was with him before that.

Chipped the top of my tooth on the Saturday, arranged an appointment on the Monday morning and was seen that afternoon, which itself was a very quick service and cheaper than I thought it was going to be. Noticed a slight issue the next day so went back and it was rectified with zero fuss and no extra charge.

Positive experience: Visited the Hygenist. Pleased with the experience and outcome. She wasn't aggressive and harsh as most of the previous hygienists I've seen. I did find the price a bit high but I suppose that's what the nhs charges. £93 ouch.

Fantastic experience: Mr Bass has been my dentist since 1988. He is nice, professional and delivers great dental services. Their dental nurse, Tash and admin Gaby also do their job very well! Together they form a great team!

Positive experience: I had been booked in for a filling, on my previous check-up appointment the dentist noticed that a tooth required filling. Between appointments some of the offending tooth fell out, making the hole.uch bigger. The dentist took less than 15 minutes. He very quickly examined me; then with no other preparations, no drilling or cleaning of the cavity; he went ahead and gave me a local anaesthetic and filled the tooth cavity. I'm a little concerned that in his rush he by passed one or two procedures. I am concerned that this tooth might give me further trouble in the future.

Negative experience: Great reception team but dishonest dentist. Reception is fantastic at squeezing you in to find you an appointment but the dentist only wants to squeeze you for more money. Dentist Patel, will push you to go private and will not treat properly if you are a NHS patient. Tries to overcharge if you decline private treatment by lying about NHS band categories and NHS continuous treatment policy, which I confirmed with NHS Business Service Authority that Patel was lying. NHS BSA provided options on how it could be rectified but never went back as I am afraid to get any further treatment from Patel. I am sure Patel is a great dentist if you are a private patient but don't bother if you are NHS. Patel is only using NHS bait to reel you into private. What a waste of NHS fund.

I encourage readers to take the advice of all the other one star reviews and get your dental care elsewhere if you want a dentist who can be bothered.

Fantastic experience: As arriving, i was greeted by the lovely ladies at the front Desk. The dentist and dental nurse were exceptional in their approach. They displayed remarkable patience and gentleness while examining my baby's mouth. Rons expertise in pediatric dentistry was evident, as they skillfully handled my baby and made the experience as stress-free as possible. Thank you N6 dental

Negative experience: We visit this practice as family and can say the experiences of with the adults has been good overall and would recommend them. Its a no nonsense no fuss place with low wait times etc. They hygienist is really lovely and would again recommend. However that being said, our son who is 6 also visits this practice and we have had two interactions with their head Dr Ron and I can confidently say that he absolutely has no skills in dealing with children. He does not comfort them or talk to them and just gives them instruction such as open your mouth like mature adults. Young children are in general scared of doctors and more so dentists and it is surely unfortunate that the doctor has not learnt how to manage children. Perhaps they need a specialist who deals only with kids. This place is not recommended for kids from my experience sorry!

Fantastic experience: Upon arriving I was received with a smile with a kind talk from the lady at the reception and with that I felt more comfortable because I’m always nervous going to dentists. Once I saw Dr. Ronak Patel, initially I felt he was too serious but then I saw a smile from him, I felt him looking serious was just him being professional. Immediately I started to feel that I was in the right place! He was on point about the treatments I needed and which ones were priority. He also gave choices of treatment which made me feel that he had my best interest at heart, it was about me. I just which I had found them sooner. Nowadays you only find dentists that is all about them and making money, that’s not what I felt, through the choices I was presented I felt that it was about me and what worked best for me. Negative experience: After being a customer for years, all of a sudden, he was very rude and doing very poor work. Had a filling replacement that I then had to get re replaced somewhere else when he wouldn’t even believe my calls of pain. Will not be bringing my family back here.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient with N6 Dental for over 5 years and have always found the staff to be friendly yet professional. The reception team (Gabi and Keeley) always greet you with a smile and a warm welcome and are also very accommodating if you need to change an appointment, as i have had to do. Ron (the dentist) I first met when I had broken my tooth and I wanted a second opinion about treatments. He talked me through all the options and allowed me to make the choice that was best for me. He is honest and straight talking, which i really like and respect. Aswell as being very professional and approachable, so I have never been afraid to ask questions or for advice. I have also been treated by both Hygienists (Gabriella and Hiroshi), who were both incredibly friendly and professional. They always explain how i can improve my cleaning technique and are always happy to answer any questions i have. Until visiting N6 Dental I had always been a nervous patient and really would put off going to see the dentist until the very last minute or when the needs must but not now. I feel totally at ease at N6 Dental and i also do not feel i am treated differently because i am an NHS patient, like i did at my previous dentist. I am really glad i swapped and I certainly won't be swapping again! I would highly recommend N6 Dental to anyone.

Negative experience: Dentist used to be great when Dr Bass worked there. Seen the new dentist (Dr R Patel) a number of times recently and the dental work like fillings and a crown have fallen out in just a couple of months. Also been overcharged and had to show them the NHS print explaining how their charges work and they still tried to argue it and refuse refund. Eventually received refund, but no apology! (Edit added after the dentist response: I didn't say it was fitting of a new crown, but to be very clear, yes it was refitting a crown, but to fall out in a couple of months still isn't right is it, the refund was issued after I had to repeatedly email and call the receptionist and show her the NHS guidance on prices, she and the dentist both insisted a number of times initially, that they had charged correctly despite my literally highlighting the NHS guidance showing you should not be charged again for same tier treatment within a certain period of past treatment for the same issue. As for seeing the dentist regularly, I have also advised I am disabled and receive a small amount of benefits and as such cannot afford to frequent the dentist, I wish I could. My benefits unfortunately do not allow me to claim treatment for free due to a mistake by DWP.)
