Positive experience: Have been using MF Dental for many years (since before it became MF Dental in fact). Importantly for me, it has maintained an NHS service which, although restricted during Covid and currently only offering annual check-ups, has always proved adequate. They managed to fit me in at short notice when a piece of molar broke away and did the same again when that repair failed after a couple of years.

Fantastic experience: I attended for a dental hygiene appointment. The reception staff are very welcoming and helpful. I experienced dizziness when in the chair and the dental hygienist was excellent , listened to me , showed genuine concern and altered the chair position until I cups manage the dizziness and completed the scale and polish with care and gently. Also made a note so all other staff are aware. Excellent service

Fantastic experience: Where do I start, Ive never done a dentist review ever, but I felt I needed to as Joshua from the start today sorted my broken bottom tooth, he was very professional and you could see he loves the job he does, to keep checking if I’m ok while he was doing the procedure, and explained everything to myself and after care advice, but to spend 45min to sort my tooth out, and when he passed me there mirror it definitely brought my smile back I’m so happy thanks keep doing what you do best would highly recommend my dentist to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Both my wife and I continue to be very pleased with our treatment at M F Dental. All the staff without exception are very friendly and excellent at their jobs. One thing I would like to suggest is regarding patients like ourselves who rarely need any treatment beyond the routine check up and scale and polish. Both my wife and I eat a very healthy low sugar diet and always adhere to regular daily brushings of our teeth together with using the inter dental floss 'brushes'. This together with the excellent guidance at the Practice ensures we rarely need treatment beyond the routine check up. This clearly has benefits for our health but also financial benefits to the Practice as our visits are of very short duration compared to patients who need more costly and time consuming treatment. Therefore, I think the practice should consider implementing a 'rebate' or sort of ' no claims discount' for patients such as ourselves who take personal responsibility for looking after their teeth. E.g. 2 months full rebate i.e. 12 months cover for the cost of 10. We currently pay a total of over £600 per annum to cover both of us which does not quite reflect the comparatively minimal time needed for our treatment. This is a meant as a constructive suggestion, not a complaint.

Positive experience: Please read whole review - I saw a dentist for a check up I hadn’t seen before, he spent about 30 seconds looking at my teeth. He didn’t do any cleaning or polish which normally happens everytime in the 7 years I’ve been going to MF dental- he then said I had a very narrow mouth like this was something I’d done wrong. I really wasn’t impressed with the service this time. It seems they wanted me in and out as soon as possible. I think the dentist was called Mohamed Mahmoud. All the other dentists I’ve seen have been great here, if you get an appointment with this guy ring up and ask to see someone else. Edit ** added 2 weeks later I was experiencing some discomfort in a tooth a few weeks after my appointment which the review above relates to so I booked to go to MF dental. They saw me the day after I went in to book, I saw a different dentist who was brilliant, friendly, clear with her questions and advice. The reception staff were excellent (as they were before). This time I couldn’t fault the service I received. 5 stars. I was also told that the dentist I saw previously was leaving the practice at the end of the week. I feel that whilst I wasn’t 100% happy with my first visit this year it is only fair to update the review on a positive note. 5 stars

Fantastic experience: my daughter has a minor accident and dislodged her tooth, i rang MF dental and the receptionist managed to help straight away. my daughter’s appointment was with dr jordan and izzy, there ended up being more than just the singular tooth that needed help. dr jordan explained the whole process to my daughter doing his best to keep her calm. izzy was absolutely fantastic, even going the extra mile and giving my daughters teeth a lovely clean afterwards for the tooth fairy. even though it wasn’t a nice experience for my daughter having to have three teeth out, the calmness and compassion from the dentist and dental nurse made sure she is not frightened of the dentist. thank you dr jordan and izzy

Fantastic experience: After a lifetime of avoiding dentistry I visited MF dental care extremely anxiously. Five months later I have completed a treatment plan including fillings , extraction, root canal surgery and a new dental bridge . From the moment I entered the surgery Keith ( dentist ) and Kirsty (dental nurse) put me at ease . Everything was explained well and options available to me talked through . I was reassured at every point - told I could put up my hand at any point I needed. The fact that 5 months later I had never felt the need to do that has ensured I can only leave a 5 star review It’s very clear that in the decades I’ve avoided dental treatment the technology has moved on significantly . But it’s the relationship built up with the people treating you which is the most important component . I would like to congratulate my dentist Keith for the clear explanation he provided at every step - and Kirsty - the dental nurse - for her assistance whilst in the surgery . I have no hesitation in recommending this Practice to others . I will be signing up to a checkup plan and won’t now avoid my dentist .

Fantastic experience: Good Morning I wanted to say a big Thankyou to my dentist and dental nurse (sorry I’m always in a state of anxiety when I come in so I cannot remember their names) but Thankyou for always making me feel at ease even if I don’t look like it. Also to Laura the dental hygienist and her assistant who I attended for the first time last night ‘Thankyou everybody’ as it isn’t the easiest of appointments for me to attend but thanks for making it ok for me.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at MF Dental for over two decades. Great service and always do there best to get you an appointment, as soon as they can. Being a nervous person they always make me feel comfortable and put me at ease. I cannot fault this dentist.

Fantastic experience: Just after Christmas I started to feel some pain in one of my teeth and within a couple of days I had a large abscess in my cheek. I phoned MF Dental and was seen the very same day by Josh who put me on a course of antibiotics and within a week the abscess had totally disappeared. I then saw Keith who is my usual dentist to stop it happening again who offered me a choice of tooth removal or root canal work to try and save the tooth. I opted for root canal work which is a two stage procedure two weeks apart. The first procedure took approximately one hour, I was relaxed throughout and although I expected some pain, I felt very little. Two weeks later ( 19/02/25) I had the second procedure which again lasted about one hour and again everything went very smoothly. I cannot thank Keith and the dental assistant enough as I know a lot of work went into the treatment to fix my tooth which was relatively pain free.

Fantastic experience: I cannot fault MF Dental. Before Christmas I was in agony with pain, and I got an emergency appointment the same day with Keith Ainsworth. Keith talked me through what he felt was going on and gave me some amazing advice until we could localise the pain to one tooth. The next day when the pain had localised to one tooth - he saw me again and began the root canal process. I had my final appointment yesterday and it was pain free. Keith and the dental nurses have been amazing and I cannot fault them.
