Positive experience: Registered here on the recommendation of a friend. One of the few practices accepting NHS patients. Good customer service so far. Had a simple and straightforward assessment of my issues on the first visit and had it sorted on the next appointment (two weeks from the first). Update: They seem to cancel appointments (via email and text) without reason. An option to reschedule would be great.

The entire facility was spotlessly clean, with lovely and friendly staff, and modern equipment that put me at ease. As someone who's totally phobic of the dentist, I've had bad experiences in the past, and I was nervous about trying a new practice. But my dentist Dimitrios was exceptional. He listened attentively as I shared my fears and past experiences, and he was so understanding and gentle. He gave me an outstanding cleaning that was one of the best I've ever had, and when he told me I needed a filling, he explained everything clearly and reassuringly. The procedure itself was painless, thanks to the perfect amount of numbing injection, and the appointment flew by. I felt totally relaxed and comfortable the entire time, and I'm so grateful to have found a dentist who truly cares about his patients well-being. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that this experience has completely changed my perspective on dental care. I no longer dread the thought of visiting the dentist, and I feel confident that I'm in good hands with Dimitrios and his team. I highly recommend this dental practice.

She and her team are brilliant - they are very patient, knowledgable and great at putting me at ease as I know I can be an anxious patient. I have recently had an appointment with Zoe, the Citrus dental hygienist and again, I could not praise her and her and her colleague highly enough for their care and professionalism in carrying out an AirFlow treatment on me, and answering my many questions. I also want to acknowledge the Citrus reception team who are always friendly, helpful and very welcoming.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been using Citrus for nearly 10 years. Have never had anything but excellent service. Reception staff are lovely and responsive to messages, whether routine or emergency. I like that the practice has long standing clinicians, and there is a genuine continuity of care. On a recent visit I was able to discuss an ongoing health issue and was met with nothing but empathy (which I expected) so it made an awkward conversation easy to bring to the team. If you need a dentist in Edinburgh you really can’t go wrong with Citrus.

Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom tooth removed by Dimitrios at Citrus Dental Clinic. I’d previously had a bad experience at another dentist who refused to remove it and just sent me home, so I was quite anxious. But Dimitrios was incredibly professional and really put me at ease , he gave me confidence throughout the process. Would definitely recommend this clinic!

Fantastic experience: Had a filling done today with Dimitrios and didn't feel a thing! Felt comfortable the entire time and he talked me through everything he was doing. I had a bad experience at another dentist a while ago so am quite anxious, but they had no issue with my partner coming in and sitting with me and didn't hesitate when I asked to stop for anaesthesia. Reception were also super friendly and helpful. I'm a new patient here but great experience so far and would recommend!

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient at Citrus dental for almost 10 years, Maria Ertz used to be my dentist she was amazing. Now she retired, the new dentist Anastasia is great as well, very kind and gentle, I was there yesterday for a filling, she made a very good job. My wife and 2 kids are patients there as well, we never had an issue with these guys, based on our experience we would recommend them.

Fantastic experience: This is a really nice dentist. I was greeted at the reception desk by a friendly but professional lady who booked me in. I was only five minutes late to be called in to my dentist which in my book is excellent. I saw a dentist by the name of Jessie ( Jessy?) who have to being told that I’m not very good at Dentist! treated me with care and a gentle manner which suited me fine! When I left the dentist room, I felt I had been assessed etc really thoroughly and, with really clean teeth – which is a bonus when you go to the dentist! I had been advised by Jessie of a further procedure that I needed and by the time I got to the reception desk to book another appointment, the information had already been sent through and I was booked in again. I have had a lot of Dentistry Work in the past and have a wide experience Of different dentists and different practices – This one has to be rated as one of the better ones by far. We are very lucky to have this Nhs service and my Dentistry Phobia and me are grateful to Citrus For looking after me.

Fantastic experience: I was in the other day and always have a great experience. I was a bit worried as I got a new dentist (Maria moved away) but new dentist is lovely but it was the reception that made me feel very comfortable. she explained in detail what happened at my appointment and I walked out feeling excited to go back and get my treatment finished. Her name was Alana!

Fantastic experience: The hygienist was very friendly and welcoming. Besides thoroughly cleaning my teeth, she gave me advice on how to properly use floss and interdental brushes. She also used a disclosing tablet to show me the areas I neglect when brushing. I found it a really useful visit and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

We had a very poor experience with our previous dentist and coming to Citrus is like a breath of fresh air. It's almost a pleasure to go to the dentist!

Fantastic experience: Having struggled with dental trauma (following a previous criminal dentist who was imprisoned), I am understandably cautious and need to be involved in my dental care. Drew understands this, and is open, reassuring and treats me with consideration. He offers unbiased explanations and treatment options and honestly I am so relieved and grateful for his professionalism and care. He makes time to listen and answer my questions. The lovely, welcoming receptionist is a reassuring first point of contact. A much deserved 5stars.

Fantastic experience: Very good dental practice, clean, and staff are polite. VWe were very pleased with our dentist, Dr Caroline Jeffrey, who is very thorough and efficient. She was also very patient and nice to my kids who were super anxious but she managed them very well. We were very sad to hear that she is leaving the practice, and we are switching to another dentist. But we wish her all the best, and hopefully the new dentist will be as good as her.

Fantastic experience: I was struggling to find a dentist after moving and couldn't find a private one, let one any NHS dentist. Lo and behold, I coincidentally stumbled upon Citrus Dental Care, not only are they still NHS, they are incredibly affordable, the dentists, hygienists and receptionists are all very lovely and the appointments are easily available, in fact they contact very promptly for expediting appointments if they have any cancelled/ available slots. Positive experience: Highly Professional, patient and friendly as usual. The only niggle is that there is a door (facing reception to the right) which receptionists use which slams very loudlly each time it is left to close. I asked the receptionist, who was helpful, not to let it slam but she then said something strange "is it too loud for you? " very dismissively as if my request was unusual. The loud bang shook me and another waiting patient. Receptionist, please be aware of patients around you, especially as some might be "anxious" about treatment.

They make everything easy and welcoming from the moment you walk in. My dentist is fantastic. She takes the time to explain everything properly so I always know what’s going on. During treatment, she checks in to make sure I’m comfortable, and her touch is so precise and gentle that I never feel rushed or uneasy. She also has this incredible ability to catch small issues before they turn into big problems, which has probably saved me a lot of hassle over the years. Honestly, I couldn’t ask for better care. Top-quality NHS dentistry at its best.

Negative experience: I had a check-up appointment at 12:15, but I waited for the doctor until 12:35. Unfortunately, 20 minutes past my appointment time, the receptionist informed me that the doctor was busy, and I might have to wait another 20 minutes. This behavior is highly unprofessional and disrespectful to the patient’s time and dignity.
