Negative experience: Gone down hill massively. Reception team awful to deal with and feels so far from the Duke Street we as a family have depended on for almost 15 years. Such a shame to see.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing my dentist since as long as i can remember, even before he was at this practice! the most welcoming and helpful person ever who would be able to eliminate any persons worry of going to the dentist. all of the staff are so so lovely and warm and make it so easy to talk to them and express any concerns, as well as even having a nice chat and leaving you wanting to book and go again.

Fantastic experience: Going to the dentist isn’t a pleasant experience generally but it helps if you have complete confidence and trust in your dental team. I have found this at Duke Street Dental after trying various dental surgeries in the Seaford area. It is a private dental practice but I’d rather pay knowing that the service I’ll receive is always friendly, professional , with everything explained clearly, and whilst treatment may be a little uncomfortable at times, I’m never fearful of it. If you are frightened at the thought of going to the dentist try Duke Street Dental , I highly recommend them.

David has been my dentist for years and Lisa has now been my hygienist for several years and I just could not be happier with their work. David is a brilliant dentist who had to undertake various procedures when I first joined his practice but for years now my teeth have been in good shape requiring minimal maintenance. Lisa is an extraordinary hygienist, so gentle and reassuring, who cleans and polishes my teeth to a shine but who has never hurt me. It would be good if one could get this sort of service on the NHS, but it's simply not available, and frankly, for the money, the Duke Street Dental Centre is worth every penny.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic dental centre. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. My dentist Aideen is the absolute best. I first visited a couple of years ago due to an ugly abscess and severe anxiety and fear, despite that not being the easiest first visit, I have been so well looked after and comforted throughout the whole visit that I have been coming to Aideen ever since, she is incredibly kind, gentle, understanding and none judgmental. Everyone working there is really lovely and they provide such high quality good care (especially if you’re an incredibly anxious adult patient, this is the place!)

Fantastic experience: I go here regularly for cleaning as I have soft gums and purple plaque. Nicole Pickard saved my teeth and gums. I've always found the practice professionally run and very helpful.Since Nicole left I now have Lisa Corbett. She has proved to be a thorough and sensitive Dentist. I have a number of health issues which affect my gums, teeth and spine. She doesn’t tilt the chair back too much, she gives me time to breathe after each tooth scale and she is encouraging and sympathetic in her manner. I come out with lovely teeth, feeling positive that what I am doing makes a difference. When I first came here my teeth and gums were in a terrible state but now, at 66 yrs, I have most of my own teeth and my gums are holding steady. It was a life changer finding this practice.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient for many years with some very complicated dental work. Both David and Aideen have helped me to maintain good oral health. On Bank Holiday Monday I developed a problem and left a message on their answering machine. First thing on Tuesday morning I got a call from the practice and was seen the same day. Brilliant. Negative experience: I came here because of the great reviews, but my experience was disappointing. The dentist didn’t speak to me during the appointment—I had to ask at the end how my teeth were, and was only then told I needed a tooth removed. When I asked what would happen moving forward, I was told I’d find out when I saw the hygienist and the appointment ended. I left totally confused and anxious. I got a second opinion at a different dentist, who said the tooth didn’t need to be removed yet, so I’m not sure why I was told it did.

Aideen & Lisa have really helped me conquer my fears, the atmosphere, explanations and planning is by far the best. Even if you're unable to get there, for a while, for whatever reason, there's no cut off because you haven't been or Questioning on your return. Make an appointment and find out for yourself!

Fantastic experience: Ever since my teenage years my teeth were very worn down. (Dentists actually disagree whether this was due to grinding my teeth in my sleep or to drinking too many acidic drinks!). By the time I was in my 50s I decided I really wanted to do something about it. Various dentists couldn't help but one recommended David Simkins. David did some significant restorative work on my teeth and supported me through some fairly gruelling times . The work was very successful and no further work has been needed in the 10 years since it was done. I can recommend David for restorative dental work.

Fantastic experience: A double extraction is no-one's idea of a good time, but that said, Alex and his assistant made the experience as quick and painless as possible, and I had no problems afterwards. The ladies on reception were also very pleasant and professional. If I had a criticism it is that the practice would benefit from a dedicated 180° x-ray machine. It took about 10 plates to capture a full set of x-rays for my teeth, with the staff having to scurry out of the room each time - a somewhat ennervating experience, I found. But a minor quibble, all things considered.

Fantastic experience: I had not been to the dentist for years so had to get a lot of cleaning and repair work. The staff are lovely, the practice clean, tidy and welcoming. Alex my dentist was great as I was a very stressed, nervous patient and he was very understanding. They follow up after your treatments as well which is a nice touch.

The Duke Street Dental Practice is everything one could hope for and more. With a disintegrating tooth, I was seen almost immediately. I have since had another treatment and clean (the best I have had). Both dentists I saw were highly proficient, calmly reassuring and obviously very good. This standard is obviously the hallmark of the practice. All prices were upfront and came as a very welcome surprise. Administratively, top notch. The surgery is immaculate throughout. Thus, always with a warm and friendly greeting and kind helpfulness, excellent dentistry and all the above, I am so relieved and pleased to have found them.
