Negative experience: Very misleading company phone about implants as my front crown had come out the lady on the phone said I had to make an appointment for a consultation the cost would be £85 to be payed before you get consultation I asked the price off 2 implants the lady said between 3and4k then made a appointment to see dentist how took a impression off my front teeth for a temporary dentcher costing £200 3days later picked up dentcher and asked dentist again how Much h it cost for 2 implants he said 6to7k which was a lot more then the lady had quoted on phone so I cancelled the consultation and I asked dentist if I hade to pay anything for cancelling the consultation he said no because I had give plenty notice so I asked if I could have a refund off my £85 the lady on reception said she would get backed to me rang 2 days later the receptionist said they had taken the £85 off me for the appointment I had made which I steady paid 200 for the treatment I strongly recommend not to pay up front for consultation because off you cancel whith plenty off notice they will find ways not to refund you

On my first visit to Denmark Street dental I was greeted by Receptionist Suzie who has such a lovely manner, which immediately put me at ease. I was then introduced to Dental Nurse Aneese and Dental Surgeon Matt, who explained the the whole procedure to me in full. As I required a bone graft, the process was quite extensive and therefore spread over a few month. Both Matt and Aneese are very professional and carried out their work with diligence and to an excellent standard. To say that I am pleased with the outcome would be an understatement. Negative experience: I do not ordinarily write reviews for services or products; however, I feel compelled to share my recent experience. I was in need of dental treatment for a cavity and, due to budgetary constraints, sought to obtain a reasonable quote from highly rated dental practices. I contacted two dental clinics prior to Denmark Street Dental. In both cases, the staff were courteous and provided clear estimates for the treatment required. My experience with Denmark Street Dental, however, was markedly different. Upon beginning to explain my situation, the guy who answered the call (30th June 9:28am) terminated the conversation without warning or explanation. I found this conduct to be both unprofessional and deeply disappointing, particularly given the positive reviews that initially led me to consider their services.

Fantastic experience: Thank you to all staff at this practice for professional and kind approach. I am a new client and am extremely happy with exceptional advice and customer care. A particular thank you to Gemma for patience, kindness and reassurance when taking my scan following a recent head injury.

Fantastic experience: As said by many people, Natalie and Matt are both fantastic. Had a failed dental bridge that i wanted replaced with an implant, unfortunately i had bad gum disease. At first consultation Matt was brutally honest, saying he wouldn’t do implant unless I got gum disease under control as it would fail. He suggested I see their hygienist Natalie. I had a couple of 1 hour appointment with Natalie which was brutal but necessary, my teeth had never felt they had such a scaling so tender at first. Natalie showed me where i was failing in cleaning my teeth where other dentist/Hygienists failed. Prior to visiting Natalie every time i brushed my teeth, blood was present and gums tender. After regular visits with Natalie my gum disease is now under control. I am so thankful to Natalie. I now could go back to Matt to proceed with implant, I needed some other dental work doing (broken tooth extraction) which he did along with the initial implant. Matt is a great dentist, he explains everything precisely so you know exactly what to expect and what you need to know I now have my implant and am so happy with it, it feels so natural. I would highly recommend the Denmark team. Thank you all.

Fantastic experience: I’m a really nervous person at the dentist due to past experiences but I have felt so at ease here. From the first encounter with reception to my appointment with the dentist I felt the most relaxed I’ve felt at a dentists. He was so informative and patient and explained everything in detail. If you’re like me and feel nervous don’t hesitate to get in touch with them they are brilliant!

Negative experience: I had such high hopes after reading all the glowing reviews. I am a very nervous patient due to past trauma. I chose Denmark Street as I had read how amazing they are with people who are anxious. I saw Dr Matt, I did my best to explain my situation and how anxious I was. He did began my exam which went well, even though I felt he wasn't very sensitive when I needed to stop for a second to breath, he just lacked some empathy but at this point I was still feeling OK, he didnt check in, reassure me or make any effort to make sure I was OK, he seemed a little rushed and impatient. Then he said we would do an intraoral X-Ray, I have had trouble with gagging in the past and feeling like I can't breath so it takes me a few minutes to get comfortable, I did try to explain but I dont think Dr Matt was very interested. He went to put it in and when i struggled a little he instantly whipped it out in a quite abrupt almost annoyed manner and said we would go downstairs for a different type of X-Ray, his impatience with me made me feel quite bad but I continued to comply and did not complain. After the X-Ray he went to take photos of my teeth he was rougher during this and at one point he jammed it near my cheek a bit and it was uncomfortable, I made a noise but he didn’t say anything at all. I didn't feel comfortable enough to explain to him that he had hurt me a little. He then said he wanted to make sure I looked at the photos of my teeth that were damaged, I asked could I please just view the X-Rays instead, I was feeling very vulnerable and ashamed. He then proceeded to tell me to "grow up" and look at them. This pushed me over the edge and I became tearful, I felt so belittled and ashamed of myself. I stepped out the room to calm down and came back and let him finish as he forced me to view the photos with him, and he explained the treatment he gelt would be the best course of action. Afterwards, we went downstairs to speak to reception. The receptionist was very kind and empathetic towards me, but I didn't feel my complaint was being taken very seriously. I am awaiting my assessment results for ADHD and autism and have some extra needs I need attended to especially having a dental phobia, expecting some compassion and understanding is the least I expected in this situation, I was polite throughout and did my best to explain. I am now £85 out, I will not be able to return to Dr Matt as the trust just is not there, I would not recommend Dr Matt to anyone who is anxious, neurodiverse or has special needs in any way, he lacked empathy and basic respect which is key in medical fields. He may be a great dentist technically, I can not speak to this, but I was not impressed with his manner at all. I left very distressed and in tears due to how belittled I felt during a vulnerable appointment for me, I paid good money hoping for someone who would be kind and gentle with me which is not what I recieved. I hope this was just a bad day for Dr Matt, while this is an experience which has only added to my feelings of shame and anxiety around dental appointments.

Negative experience: Waited for a month for an initial appointment (which I didn't really need because I was told I need a root canal treatment by an NHS dentist already and just wanted to do that). Received a reminder 2 days before the appointment, but no reminders on the date of appointment. Missed it, got a call for a few seconds to which I wasn't even able to reply as it stopped ringing at once. Called back saying I could come in 15 minutes (which would be around 20-25 minutes from the appointed time, with the appointment slot I think around 40 minutes? not sure). On my way driving to the practice got a call saying I will not be accepted and need to rebook for the full price again. - Why not send another reminder on the date of appointment (I don't imagine it costs much)? - Why require an initial appointment if I have a specific problem identified already? - Why not accomodate the delayed appointment at least partially? - Why not provide any discount or anything as I clearly didn't enjoy this outcome either? I suppose the profit of the practice is the top priority, not customer experience or helping a person that suffers with a broken tooth. PS: (In reply to the owner's reply) I did contact the practice through your complaint form, no one got back to me at all. So I don't think anyone wants to discuss anything.

Fantastic experience: Well what can I say I’m in my 50s I have always been asleep to have a tooth extraction till I met up with Matt he was so lovely kind caring gentle funny he talked me over everything he was doing as I was very nervous. Matt is very knowledgeable about the work he does. I had to have emergency appointment today Monday as had toothache so I had another tooth extracted which was my decision and not as nervous. Matt you are fantastic and will be back to have my teeth straightened. Also Rebecca the hygiene nurse she was very caring and talked me over anything 5**** for Denmark street.

Positive experience: Pretty good service overall. They seem to be going through some changes with staff recently. On my last visit this week there were different staff on reception who i felt were not as friendly as the usual staff i have met previously over the years.

Fantastic experience: Delighted that Susie got in touch with me so promptly following a late cancellation so I was able to take up the chance to get an earlier appointment with the hygenist on Friday 22nd Nov. Fair to say I've had a bit of a wait since Gerri's retirement. No one's fault, just a difficult time all round. My original appointment was for March next year but am so pleased that the effort was made by staff to get me in earlier when the chance arose.I always get a bit apprehensive about going to the dentist because of a really bad childhood experience and the folks at Denmark Street have been excellent in dealing and helping me with this. It was my first appointment with a new hygenist so I was a more apprehensive than usual.So a big thank you to Adam Carr as from my perspective the appointment went really well. He came over as very reassuring, was able to put me at my ease and my gums and teeth felt so much better afterwards. Many thanks.

Fantastic experience: Visited Denmark Street to discuss options for replacing broken teeth and bridge.Ash explained the three options available and the pros and cons.He then took xrays/scans to determine my suitability for the options discussed. He clearly explained the process and what to expect without putting any pressure on a quick decision. He was very thorough and answered questions raised. I now just need to determine how to finance the treatment and arrange the next step thank you.

Fantastic experience: As always on entering the surgery reception the staff are so friendly, especially Suzy. I visited the surgery on 22 October to see Mat with a problem that I thought maybe be connected to my teeth. He examined my mouth and informed me that there was no problem with my teeth, but as my face was very, very swollen he contacted A&E and arranged for me to attend which I did on my way home. Fantastic experience: I required an emergency appointment today, and I was able to get one at Denmark Street Dental Practice. I have a dental plan in Portugal, but whilst back home in the UK, the temporary crown on my lower jaw implant fractured, leaving the metal abutment protruding. My tongue was rapidly cut and ulcerated, and I was in a lot of pain. I was seen by 'Matthew'. After some research into the brand of the implant, he was able to explain the options, and procure the tools to remove the offending metal, much to my relief. Many thanks indeed. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: When you enter the lovely reception area you are greeted and helped by exceptional staff. Hygienist's advice has transformed my teeth. I have been treated by 3 different dental surgeons and they have all been excellent. All the staff help create a great environment with excellent results.

Fantastic experience: I broke a tooth and got a very quick appointment. I was given various options and chose to have it filled. It was done and repaired straight away. Matt suggested there may be some sensitivity, but I have had no problems and very pleased with the results.

Fantastic experience: I opted for a tooth implant for 2 molars at the top, back of my mouth but I also needed a bone graft to achieve this. I was very nervous about this and really just wanted an honest account of what to expect. This is how it went for me. Firstly the bone graft. I must be honest, this worried me the most. The procedure was actually not as bad as I feared. My mouth was frozen and I didn’t feel much, although I was aware that stitches were going in. I was given pain killers and antibiotics to take afterwards and to be honest I went home and slept for 2 hours afterwards. The next day it was a bit sore and I could only manage soft food. It was the second and third days that were the most painful and again I stuck to soft foods. It then began to ease up again and wasn’t really painful after that. Several months later, I returned to have the plugs installed for the teeth. My mouth was frozen and screws were inserted to protect the threads. Again, I was worried about the drilling and how sore my mouth would be. However, I was pleasantly surprised that there was no pain when the freezing wore off and it didn’t really cause me a problem. Several months later I had the teeth fitted. Would they hurt my gums? Would I have a lisp for a few weeks? Neither. They were literally screwed in and I walked out as if nothing had happened. They look great too and you wouldn’t know they weren’t my own natural teeth. It was all done by Ash. He is a smashing character who really puts you at ease. Rebecca assisted and was really polite and helpful. I hope this personal account helps others who are having a similar procedure and may also be concerned about what to expect.

Negative experience: Not recommended! Ash (dentist) made a plan for dentures and on the last minute changed the whole plan and extended it to 2 years. It turned out more money and my time was wasted.

I was seen the same day and was greeted by the lovely reception team where I was offered tea and coffee on arrival and was made to feel extremely welcome . I was then greeted by the nurse Annece who was very friendly and welcoming throughout the whole of my visit at the practice. During my appointment by Dr Matt listened to my concerns and gave me a number of treatment options, he then explained things very clearly and the treatment was carried out in the same appointment. Matt was extremely professional and a top lad. I am so grateful for Denmark street dental practice and all of the team for seeing me promptly and treating me so well

Fantastic experience: I’ve recently started my Invisalign treatment at Denmark Street with Matt, he is the best dentist I have ever had care from, everything is explained really thoroughly and he has made sure all of my concerns around my teeth are being corrected and has given me lots of options to make sure I am completely happy with them. Negative experience: In decades of going to the dentist I have only been given fillings extremely rarely. Since my regular dentist retired I visited Denmark Street Dental practice and was quite surprised when Mathew Armstrong confidently guided me through pictures that indicated I needed 3 fillings. I took him seriously and believed it to be correct because so said the dentist! When I received the Treatment estimate of £500 for the 3 fillings I was a bit surprised especially because I have never needed fillings in years it just occurred to me that maybe this was profit driven. Mathew also strongly recommended my 13 year old son get a brace privately rather than through the national health service. This added to my unease as although I have always attended private dental treatment for my family, the dentist consistently referred us to NHS orthodontics for my teenage children. I decided as a result to go back to my old practice, which has a very good reputation, to get the fillings done as he recommended. The dentist there had a look and doubted I needed 3 fillings. She took another x ray to determine without a doubt that I only needed one filling. When I discussed the previous recommendation with her she said not only was it not needed but it's actually invasive to the tooth to do unnecessary fillings and could be harmful. I don't say this to put you off this practice but my advice is to do your own due diligence and understand that there is a bias built in to your dentists bill! Best of luck in looking after your teeth!

Fantastic experience: My first time going into a dental practice since a child and they were all very friendly (nothing like the horror movies I've watched). They were professional and so understanding. Pricing is in line (if not cheaper) than others I looked at in the area, but service like no other. I showed up 20 minutes early with a book and they saw me within 5! All around an amazing group of people, I am no longer scared, in fact I'm a little excited to go back!! If you're looking for a dental practice this is absolutely the one you should choose. I have already recommended to friends and colleagues, my partner will be joining the practice soon.
