I would genuinely avoid this practice. I attended my appointment on the date i booked, and I was early. I was asked to be seated in the waiting room. A dental nurse walked past a couple of times and then went downstairs to reception. I sat upstairs and waited 15 mins. I then proceeded down to reception to ask if I was going to be seen as I could really wait much longer if I wasn't. The response was that the dentist was running late. They called them while I was in reception, and they said she is on her way in. If I hadn't gone downstairs, they would have probably left me sitting there. I then return for the appointment I missed I was booked in for a specific time get there early and only to be told that my appointment time has been changed and no one had informed me of this, so i am now waiting an extra 45 minutes and when i was there I got called in and the dentist said I needed to pay an extra amount for the treatment to be completed even though i paid the full amount on the before the first appointment. Because it was outside the time frame of the NHS. However, it was not my fault that I was not seen in the first instance. And I couldn't rearrange an appointment quick enough. Oh, and to get a refund, you have to wait 30 days. I have been let down through no fault of my own. I would recommend somewhere else for your dental treatment. I am not usually a person who writes reviews. However, I have been messed around twice now, and it has caused me extra expense I don't need.
Negative experience: Saw my son for all of 45 seconds, said he had an infection but said as he didn’t work there usually he can’t prescribe antibiotics, place is a joke
Positive experience: Quick appointment for a checkup. Very pleased. It wasn't a dentist, but a dental therapist (whatever that means ?) No issues apart from the staircase, which looked like it needed a good clean !

Positive experience: I travelled 40 minutes as this is the closest NHS dentist I could register with. I have 2 teeth that need extracting plus other work. I’ve been told that I can expect a 6 to 12 month wait to extract teeth that are causing me pain. NHS patients are most certainly 2nd class citizens. The surroundings and equipment are quite antiquated compared to my previous dentists, this doesn’t install much faith. I saw a dental technician who is not a dental surgeon and although he was pleasant knowing he isn’t a fully qualified dentist again doesn’t install confidence. As an NHS patient I don’t have any choice but to stick with them but I’m not overly confident I have to admit.

Negative experience: They don’t even deserve one star that star is for the receptionists as they are good. The dentist’s itself have no care for you unless your paying I had to wait over 5 months for a filling and my husband has been waiting a year to have two teeth pulled, every time we mention it we get pushed to the side it’s absolutely disgusting

Negative experience: Not happy at all with this practice. I could only see a dental therapist, which cost £26.50. Only to be told that there was no x ray facilities ,and the only treatment advice was to buy a tube of sensitive tooth paste. Will not be going back there again.ih
Negative experience: Following an NHS cost of over £750 to date, the dentist wants another £350 to replace a temporary plate and refuses to do it unless I pay it? I tried to explain that it had already been paid for but she refused to acknowledge this. I hope they have now checked the records and realised their error? I should not have been put into a position of having to explain this and not believed because their records are not up to date. Sick of dentists blaming the NHS when it is down to their lack of communication and commitment to NHS patients. Unacceptable service.
Fantastic experience: Clap clap clap to Lexi/Lexy and Roshan. They’re the best ✨. Had my 3 chipped teeth corrected as my previous filling was terrible. These two have made me feel confident with my smile again. So so happy with the results of my teeth !! Thank youuu

Fantastic experience: I lost a filling and couldn’t get an appointment at Minster but they gave me the number for Sheerness and they saw me straight away. The receptionist was lovely and so was the dentist/dental therapist. A very pleasant experience. Everybody was friendly and efficient. The only downside was the steep stairs!! Update. The dental therapists name was Roshan and he was charming and did a fantastic job filling a front tooth. Highly Recommend. Well done

Negative experience: Usually I am made to feel comfortable and respected. Today that didn’t happen. No glasses so lights was constantly in my eyes, water being sprayed all over my face, dentist was forceful and wasn’t listening to me if I was in pain. Today was a complete different experience to what I am used to
Positive experience: I was pleasantly surprised at how easily I got an appointment. Once I was there, I literally waited 10 minutes to go in. My only downside is that you can go here for basics but have to go elsewhere to get anything like fillings, etc done. Which just wastes time, and makes waiting lists instead of a one stop service.

Fantastic experience: Was so happy with service my daughter had today especially as we came in as an emergency. Receptionist was lovely and helpful and so was dentist and dental nurse. They were so kind and made sure my daughter was calm when they extracted her tooth.
Fantastic experience: Took a very anxious teenager to this dentist and the dentist was lovely. She didn’t know that my child was terrified but because the dentist was so nice and explained everything to her she felt extremely comfortable and even came away smiling and not shaking.
Positive experience: I had not been to the dentist for over 2 years owing to covid. Receptionist was friendly and I was seen quickly. Had a minor filling and descale. Only thing I don’t like is the cost. One of the just managing so don’t qualify for help but it is a big chunk to find

Positive experience: Saw this place was taking half term appointments - current and new patients can get an appointment the same week! Registered on the phone with a nice, helpful lady. The appointment was today and my originally excited/anxious daughter left feeling a bit sad... As with a lot of dentists, this one was a bit robotic. The dentist only spoke to me except for asking my daughter her age. It's the first time she's ever been to the dentist and not received a sticker and positive ending.

I was absolutely petrified about seeing the dentist but from the second I walked through the doors I was reassured, I have a long way to go and a lot of work to be done but I could not have chosen a better dentist than this one, every single member of staff I have met here has been absolutely amazing! I wish come sooner thankyou so much all of you. You truly have changed my mined about going to the dentist and have made me feel so relaxed

Her first visit to South Cliff Dental Group, Sheerness changed her mind about dentists, she entered highly distraught and in tears, she left smiling and has made another appointment. Amazing dentist, I would definitely recommend them
Positive experience: I had a 9am appointment for a filling. I was there at 9 sharp but the dentist didn't arrive at the surgery until almost 20 minutes later, which didn't put me in a good mood. Apologies all round, from reception and from the dentist (twice), so I calmed down. Apologies accepted. Treatment fine. Three days later I had an hygenist appointment (same dentist). Everything was fine. A very thorough job.
Negative experience: Had a 45 minute appointment booked for 245 Dental tech appeared at 3pm Saying am I here? I have been since 230 Complained to the nurse she cannot do hygiene and filling in this time Did hygiene and a filling in 12 minutes was out by 312pm I don’t think I got the best hygiene appointment and that the job was done properly in that time, when I booked the receptionist said the appointment was 45mins Seems like they had run out of white filling I paid £185 for this!!! They expected me to have spent money I havent got to go private as I intiially couldnt get a nhs dentist. Im an adult and i dont need it. I felt humiliated. Everyone has their story.

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful Dentist Practice. Everybody is so very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them and the practice is extremely clean and hygienic with professional staff who know their stuff. Had check up today, told I needed to book in to see hygienist, receptionist got me in to see Janet the hygienist, straight away after my check-up now thats what I call service, no having to come back another day, Janet is very friendly and has a calming effect on you, where you feel at ease straight away. So teeth all sorted now for another 6 months. I would certainly recommend this dentist practice to everyone, best dentist on the island. Thank you to everyone at South Cliff Dental Group. Fantastic experience: As a nervous patient I hate seeing the dentist for anything. However I had to take my little one today and had my own appointment straight after. They were AMAZING with my daughter put her at ease and chatted away with her. Then came my turn! Brave face with the little one watching. Turns out I didn't even need to pretend my dentist Bavi was so good I don't think I could see anyone else. The nurse Rachel was also really good and fantastic with my daughter who was bouncing around waiting for me. From the girl on reception who was very welcoming and friendly to the ladies upstairs this was hands down the best dental experience I've had in my almost 40 years
Negative experience: Not a good experience with the Sheerness practice. First of all left my partner waiting 2 hours before realising they had forgotten to book him in. Even though he went back to reception to query why he hadn't been seen. Have now cancelled two re-bookings leaving him in pain for 4 weeks and counting. Now telling him he has no choice but to attend on a day his work won't let him have the day off and absolutely no other appointments available.

Fantastic experience: First time at this this practice after Eastchurch closed. Couldn’t praise Faisal high enough for care and compassion he showed a terrified of dentist client. Says it all I was actually relaxed in chair by end of works doing 2 large fillings. Assistant and reception staff all efficient and friendly. Should be even better in brand new surgery soon. Will be slightly less terrified next time!!
Fantastic experience: This dental practice is fantastic, I registered as a new patient on Tuesday, had a checkup and Hygienist yesterday and three fillings today. The reception staff are very friendly, professional and helpful, the Hygienist, Dental Therapist and Dental Nurses were all very friendly and efficient. The fillings that have been put in have been sculpted so well that my wife couldn’t even notice which teeth had been done, which is a massive relief given that two were on front teeth. I couldn’t give a higher rating!

Fantastic experience: It was my first visit to South Cliff Dental Centre and I was very impressed by the friendliness of the staff and my problem was dealt with promptly. I’ll be coming back again soon for regular check ups. Very helpful and nice atmosphere. Today I went back for a check-up and also to make an appointment with the Hygienist. I saw the same dentist again, which is very nice because you have a sense of "follow up" and you can establish a good rapport. I have full trust in this practice; the staff are all very professional, friendly and helpful. 10/10 Today I visited the hygienist for a good clean and a polish and I am extremely pleased with the results. My teeth feel smooth and my gums look better too. Thank you! l will be back for regular maintenance. A+
Negative experience: Registered as a new patient, booked in for a checkup a couple of weeks later, payment taken in advance as a new patient...fair enough. Day before appointment, they cancelled, no explanation as to why and couldn't book in for a new appointment for quite some time. Asked for a refund to go elsewhere, was told 28 days to refund as per their policy (never saw this in advance). Day 39 and still no refund. Phoned and asked for the practice manager, conveniently they were unavailable, but my refund was on the list for that day (despite being well past the 28 days). A business that breaches their own terms and conditions is not somewhere I could ever recommend.
Fantastic experience: Everybody from the receptionist to the dentist were first rate, if a visit to the dentist can be called ok then i was ok. Its 3 months on now and the service from the receptionist to the dentist is still first rate, so glad i found them as id tried to get a dentist for over 3 years. Thank you so much
Fantastic experience: I'm new to this dentist. But so far I'm happy. I went there at midday today with a broken tooth and severe pain, and the dentist took my tooth out there and then. Now for me that is something special as I have a huge fear of the dentist. The dentist made me feel at ease and handled me freaking out really well. Did it cure my fear NO lol. But they sorted me out and worked amazingly considering I'm a very nervous patient. And not easy to deal with. Thank you treating me x
