Birmingham Dental Hospital: Reviews
Positive experience: Hospital was good but the car parking machine is a con, everyone getting charged and hour earlier than they arrived but managed to get the right time you leave, be careful
Fantastic experience: Much appreciated Mary thanks
Fantastic experience: Went here in an emergency as the bleeding did not stop after having my tooth removed by my local dentist the day before. The team at reception were just amazing. They saw my situation and got me in to see the dentist / surgeon named Gareth, a truly high level remarkable and outstanding person. With his equally amazing team he stitched up the area. Cannot thank the the team at reception and the team in the medical area, including the amazing Gareth enough. Thank you.
Fantastic experience: Had a wisdom out here that was cracked decayed for a long time needed out! I finally got round to dealing with it Was not straight forward to remove due to it being cracked I got booked in after had X ray which was annoying as I choose to go to Birmingham boots dental department fantastic friendly professional people there don’t be put off if have bit of a wait in waiting room depends on day I guess It was an option instead of waiting longer due to demand to go to dental hosp for X-ray Once this was done I made an appointment at hosp to go get wisdom out My tooth was throbbing a bit again as it did on and off over past few months and think it was this that forced me to deal with it and I was so glad I did as the procedure was a bit of a ordeal due to it being cracked whoever there was no pain and compared to that I did not care at that point what the dentist did at the hosp as I knew I was in good hands put me at ease They removed my wisdom and it had to come out end of and I highly rate Birmingham dental hosp do not be scared it’s best place to deal with tooth probs make me feel comfortable and took care of me throughout I was not sedated either as I use to dental issues free of pain relief was huge once healed well no more grief from wisdom well worth it I about half hour waiting area was busy but that just way it goes I recommend you go do not put it off it get worse more you prolong it highly recommend this hospital great service
Fantastic experience: A few weeks ago,my son was seen by Dr.Malaika El-Koki.She was very kind, thorough and passionate and we were lucky to have her as our dental doctor.I am a GP myself and it's wonderful to have a doctor who genuinely listens to you.Thank you.
Fantastic experience: It is a nice small dental hospital had my kids' dental extraction here
Negative experience: My brother is currently in constant pain with a hole in his wisdom tooth, stopped eating, losing weight, yet they have said they have no date to treat him until September. He is autistic, no speech, cannot communicate how much pain he's in, cannot take anything stronger than paracetamols, can't even swallow tablets, so he is currently on soluble paracetamols everyday that's not working. How cruel can this system be? My brother has been suffering for weeks now...you wouldn't treat a dog like this.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic care here. Nice modern building too and parking is cheap.
Fantastic experience: Very, helpful and very good
Positive experience: It’s really big hospital Very clean Parking is available Toilets are clean Sitting arrangement in waiting area is good & specious.
Fantastic experience: I had emergency appointments it was super welcomes very nice stuff thanks you’ are doing great job .
Fantastic experience: Thank you very much for the good treatment
Fantastic experience: Was referred here and after having being in pain I called them up and within 2 I Had a wisdom tooth removed I was so anxious and petrified But the lovely oral surgery team reassured me and made sure I was happy before the procedure literally didn’t feel a thing other than little pressure but not painful at all Honestly can not fault this place at all Thankyou so much I’m now pain free
Fantastic experience: I visited the dental hospital 23rd Jan, and I was so happy with the treatment and the care given by all the staff, the initial dentist who saw me first was very kind and empathetic, he transfered me to get an extraction, the 3 dental staff that done the extraction were amazing, they kept me calm through the whole situation and the worked hard and efficiently to get me out of pain as soon as they could! I am forever grateful to the staff there!
Negative experience: I visited Birmingham Dental Hospital with a locked jaw, a symptom often associated with Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD), which the NHS website categorises as a serious condition. Naturally, I expected a thorough evaluation and a clear plan of action. Instead, I was informed that it’s “like clicky knees,” that a third of the population experiences it, and that it’s “totally fine.” My concerns were dismissed, and I was sent on my way with no meaningful resolution. While an X-ray was taken, it’s unclear how this could adequately assess the functionality of my jaw or diagnose TMD. Conditions like TMD often require more specialised imaging, such as an MRI or CT scan, to evaluate soft tissues, joint discs, or movement impairments. A dynamic or functional assessment of how my jaw moves would have been far more appropriate. The lack of further investigation was disappointing and demonstrated a superficial approach to what can be a complex and debilitating condition. Additionally, I was told I need a mouth guard but was informed that the hospital does not provide them. Instead, I was advised to return to my dentist for this. This raises the question: what is the purpose of this hospital if basic interventions and diagnostics aren’t available? The entire experience felt inefficient and poorly coordinated. The interaction with staff was equally disappointing. Their tone came across as dismissive and condescending, which only added to my frustration. As a patient seeking professional care for a recognised condition like TMD, I left feeling unheard, unsupported, and no closer to a solution. Overall, my experience left me questioning the hospital’s purpose and the quality of care provided. Significant improvements are needed to ensure patients receive the thorough assessments and treatment they deserve.
Fantastic experience: Was referred here for an extraction. I called on Monday and was offered a consultation appointment on Thursday at 5.45pm as there was a cancellation. I was surprised but pleased that they have such late appointments. Also, parking in their car park is free after 5 pm. The staff were really friendly and welcoming throughout. The dentist talked me through everything and answered questions about my teeth. He gave great advice and said he would write to my dentist with recommendations. I got another cancellation and was able to book my extraction for 11 am, the next day. The dentist and nurse were fantastic again, explaining and talking me through everything they did. The extraction was straightforward and didn't take long. The nurse then talked me through the aftercare and answered all my questions. I can not recommend the service at the dental hospital more highly. Thank you to all concerned.
Fantastic experience: Having received treatment here for last couple years after being referred. Given them "5 stars" for the patience and care I've had as a. Very nervous dental patient. Had to have a root canal done due to a hole in tooth that was invisible above the gumline. Was. Lose to losing the front main tooth but they managed to save it. I can't remember the dentist and hygienist names but an only praise them for what treatment I've received. I wish I could have them both as my personal dentist. I was petrified of dentists for 30 + years due to teeth being removed as a child when they used gas methods. Thank you so much for putting my faith and trust back in going to a dentist.
Fantastic experience: Felt very welcoming and friendly staff were lovely
Fantastic experience: Had a tooth extracted today with inhalation sedation,as an extremely nervous patient, I was terrified, but the team were fantastic, I cannt thank them enough. From start to finish excellent care and attention.
Fantastic experience: we were booked in for an appointment by NHS 111 and that was a life saver. modern clean building and good service.
Fantastic experience: Been here a few times never had an issue always received excellent care from the nurses no matter what the issue is they’ve always got a solution to it. Very welcoming and kind reception staff name Marie . Security inside Hassan was also very polite and respectful he showed me where to go very professional well spoken. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!!
Positive experience: Lovely service . I wish packing for service users were actually free.
Negative experience: Recently, I visited this birmingham dental hospital with a severe toothache, expecting to undergo a root canal procedure. After a lengthy wait, I was informed that I required a filling on a wisdom tooth. A temporary filling was applied, but upon returning home, I experienced throbbing pain in the molar tooth. My regular dentist expressed reservations about performing the root canal and referred me to a private dentist, resulting in a cost of £1100. It is concerning that dentists may prioritize quick fillings or extractions to maximize revenue, while referring complex cases to private practices, knowing that patients on benefits may struggle to afford the costs. Additionally, the unprofessional behavior, including rude sarcasm, despite my disclosed diagnoses of ASD, ADHD, and cognitive psychosis, further exacerbates the situation. I understand that both working and non-working individuals have families to support and financial obligations to meet. However, the lack of courtesy and professionalism displayed was deeply concerning. From all levels of positions beginning from the security to the receptionist to the practitioners and nurses all alike some major and serious changes need to be advised and the advice to be implemented with immediate effect.
Fantastic experience: I went there expecting just to get antibiotics, but even better I had a X ray @ eventually had my teeth extracted... Excellent job @ staff
Fantastic experience: So I have been too this emergency dentist two times now and both amazing experience have had two two tooth pains one 5 months ago and one about a month ago now very friendly and informative they know what they are doing and make the procedure very painless so no pain while there doing it after it was taken out about a minute or few later went away overall you defentily can't go wrong with this dentist they help NHS patients out so much thank you mill pool road dentist hospital you guys keep up the amazing work U are doing.
Fantastic experience: I had a molar out today. The Dentist & Dental Nurse were both so lovely & very informative, talked me through every step, reassured me & constantly checked to make sure I was ok. Whole procedure was painless & calming. 10/10 amazing experience Thank you so much
Negative experience: 8 months for mri scan results for jaw. Seen last week and told no treatment available. Didn’t get a diagnosis, had to ask dentist is it TMJ then? Yes and go back to your own dentist. So my elderly mother is left with permanent lock jaw and no offer of any treatment. So community dental dept wasted their time referring there. Community dental and her own dentist won’t touch her and she can’t open her mouth to have some teeth extracted. Dental hospital consultant said Botox wouldn’t help. And no advice for this permanent TMJ lockjaw. No offer of a referral to any other NHS service. So mother is left with very very limited mouth opening and unable to eat since April 2023. I might have to see if her GP can refer somewhere to assess if any type of operation is needed because that long awaited 8 months appointment was a total waste of my time. No advice for the diagnosis, no details about the mri scan. I thought a dental hospital would be able to help with TMJ lock jaw condition but apparently not ! Looks like they only do wisdom teeth and pretty standard procedures so not exactly experts and felt like the dentist consultant had no compassion. Very disappointing and frustrating for someone who can’t open mouth and can’t eat normally.
Fantastic experience: They where so kind and understanding, I have a massive fear of needles and get very overwhelmed but on both experiences on getting my wisdom teeth removed they talked me through everything to help me calm down so they could extract it. It honstly meant the world. I wish there was a way to thank all the people that helped because I'm completely pain free now that everything is fully healed
Fantastic experience: Fantastic emergency treatment. After care advice spot on
Fantastic experience: Efficient, friendly, and high tech. Impressive.
Negative experience: I want people to know if you are expecting a first class or first world service from Birmingham Dental Hospital, you will be very disappointed. I waited for 7 months for an appointment as I have quite advanced periodontitis. I had great expectations when I finally secured an appointment with Fiona Blair, Restorative 4, Second Floor. It was a complete waste of time! All Fiona did was perform a dental examination. Then go through the X-rays my NHS dentist had emailed to her. All she did was point out information I already knew. I wanted my loose teeth to be splinted to save them but she said 'What for? I have done my research and know the life of loose teeth can be prolonged by two to five years with splinting. She seemed horrified by the suggestion. Here we are supposed to have the best dental hospital and learning centre in the world, and they cannot offer any help for loose teeth and periodontitis disease? There is something called LANAP that can reversed periodontitis. This place is a waste of tax payers' money. NO advanced or ground breaking treatment will be offered to you. Just a referral back to your regular dentist!
Fantastic experience: Just yesterday the doctor removed my wisdom tooth very professionally. I think his name is Will but not sure I was too nervous. He was so kind and in every step he confronted and informed me. It was a hard case my wisdom tooth was close to the nerve, but he did a good job and next to him the lady I want to thank them since today is the second day and I have almost no pain. Thanks to those people, thanks to the doctor
Fantastic experience: Fantastic staff, made my daughter feel at ease, treatment was done so quickly, would definitely recommend 100%
Fantastic experience: Was given first class care, everything explained fully, the staff were extremely polite, Caring, and very professional. I would recommend to anyone that requires any dental work, made to feel like a person not a number.
Fantastic experience: Got an emergency consultation for my sons wisdom tooth on thursday 5pm friday 2pm he had it out. It was a complicated proceedure that had been turned down elsewhere. The staff were amazing and for the first time in three months he is painfree. I cannot rate them highly enough
Fantastic experience: I would like to thank all the staff a dentist hospital for the outstanding service and very professional thank you
Fantastic experience: I am very happy with the treatment and the whole process. It's much better than expected. Smooth process.
Fantastic experience: Thanks to Daniel , Sophia and everyone that helped me with my teeth. Birmingham dental hospital is a really wonderful place.
Positive experience: Busy, waited an hour after our appt time to be seen. Not good
Fantastic experience: After referring my dentist. I got appointment so quickly. In 2 days my tooth taken out. Very good service
Fantastic experience: Great place and all, during waiting heard someone singing and it was absolutely beautiful. Give that janitor a raise, his singing was angelic.
Negative experience: Naveen Karir is hands down the worst dentist I've ever encountered. He's more interested in being judgmental than actually doing his job properly. He wasted my time and NHS resources by insisting on doing six unnecessary X-rays just because he couldn't bother to access my medical records. And don't even get me started on his complete lack of compassion for people who've been through traumatic accidents. He's a real piece of work, that guy. You deserve nothing than zero star !
Fantastic experience: Was referred by 111 when I got there everything was fast and positive and the two beautiful ladies who sorted my teeth I would recommend to anyone… Jessica Praito and Kate Murphy BDS4
Fantastic experience: Have always found the clinical treatment to be exceptional and always concurred with a senior professional before, during, and after . First class, in every way.
Fantastic experience: After a referral from my dentist I was seen very quickly at the dental hospital. All staff were very friendly and helpful. I had my wisdom teeth out and the surgery team were also fantastic - I highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Brilliant staff very lovely people looked after my wife very well had 5 teeth took out because she's got cancer ready for radio therapy can't fault them well done thanks a lot
Fantastic experience: Gangsta Henry! I had a root canal and a crown fitted by the excellent Henry who is studying in his final year... which, I am sure he will absolutely smash considering the exceptional work he has done on my tooth. Very friendly, excellent at explaining each stage with thorough attention to every detail. I was very happy to have him as my dentist! Good luck with your exams Henry and all the best. Mrs Khan
Fantastic experience: Dr Habib is an amazing orthodontist, he completely transformed my smile. I never thought my teeth and teeth structure could ever be fixed, and had several doctors tell me i needed surgery to fix my teeth. But this doctor made sure to put all his time and effort to fix my smile non surgically. I cannot believe how much my confidence has improved and I’m so extremely grateful. He really does prioritize perfecting and not giving up on his patients
Fantastic experience: ***Laura*** I was very lucky to get a same day appointment from 111. I had an appointment on the 2nd Feb, they said to arrive at 1.30 but I may have to wait 3-4 hours. We didn’t wait long at all before getting called in. I was in pain for weeks, and saw a private dentist the previous night, but they couldn’t get my mouth numb enough to do any work to my tooth. The first student dentist I met was Laura, she is in her final year. Laura was absolutely amazing, she was so kind, explained and talked through all my options. After having an X-ray we agreed the tooth needed to come out. It was late afternoon on Friday, and she explained they might not have appointments left for me to have it removed and I might have to come back on Monday. She went and spoke to the team next door, and said she begged on her hands and knees to get them to see me. Laura could see I was in horrendous pain, and knew it couldn’t wait to Monday. After jumping through hoops all week to get my tooth sorted, I was lucky to have met Laura, she was so kind, understood me and went above and beyond to help me. She was my guardian angel. Where ever she goes with her career, they are going to be lucky to have her, and I can see her being great with nervous patients and children. I then went to have my tooth extracted, I can’t remember both of their names, but I think one lady was called Ash. They were so lovely, Ash even put Vaseline on my dry lips for me. The lady who was doing my extraction, talked me through everything that could go wrong and put my mind at rest. She put the injections in to numb it and they barely hurt, the whole procedure was painless and positive, I didn’t feel a thing when they were removing my tooth, the girls were really good, kept talking to me, and honestly I felt so relaxed. I am writing this today as I’m pain free, I’m really grateful to all the staff, they were all amazing.
Fantastic experience: Me and my son Can’t thank the children’s theatre team enough ,, every single member off staff polite engaging,,helpful ,,thank you so much it meant a lot
Negative experience: I had a horrific experience today! Simon white was the dental doctor allocated to extract my daughter’s teeth. I had called earlier in the week to ask if I could have less teeth taken out for my toddler as i had visited a private dentist over the weekend and they advised me that only the top where the main cause of concern, and the other 4 the hospital recommended to take out where not necessary. As otherwise my toddler would be left with no molars at all and very little teeth to eat with. When i called and asked to clarify if i could only have those teeth of concern ( 4) extracted rather than all 8 - the woman at the dental hospital confirmed yes 100% this is fine!!! When I said this information to Simon White today he was EXTREMELY RUDE. HE SAID “ this isn’t a pick and mix” “ he knows best for my child” “ he doesn’t know me from adam” “ i am wasting his time while confirming with my partner” “ who is zoey?” Continuously (this was the woman who confirmed on the phone this would be okay. He was EXTREMELY patronising his tone and attitude was awful honestly it brought me to tears. My daughter is 2, and was going to be put under general anesthetic, so to me is a big deal. However the way he handled the situation was despicable and he really needs strong awakening on how to conversate with parents.
Fantastic experience: Wow!!! Went there yesterday after a 111 referral. From the consultation, onto the x-Ray and then a root canal treatment. The team that looked after me were AMAZING. I wish I took note of their names to give them a personal shout out. I am SO grateful for their professionalism and courteous manner. Every thing was explained in detail, I was offered multiple options of treatment. Local dentists must have passed through this place or places like it early in their training, so why do they seem to forget the basics. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Negative experience: I have visited today saw one one the male dentist he was extrmly rude/ arrogant didn't even care how to take care of his patient. Extrmly dissapointed watsed my time
Fantastic experience: The people that work there are all great. I hate the building though, stairs are terrible for people who don't like heights, locations inside are harder to find than the old dental hospital. The old dental hospital building was excellent compared to this. But the good people here are the main thing.
Fantastic experience: Today I had a tooth extracted. Despite great fear, I felt safe there. A great doctor and her wonderful assistant (?)☺️. If you're reading this, I'm sorry for my fear! I have another appointment scheduled and I hope to meet the same people. ❤❤❤
Fantastic experience: Made me feel relaxed and welcome and work done to high standard a very professional and caring team
Fantastic experience: Verry clean. But the waiting is little bit hard. Special for a cardiac person Couse a know they are afraid until they speak with the cargiologi doctor that you have ( or hospital)
Fantastic experience: Been here for a tooth pain. But turned out to be a wisdom tooth extraction. Staff is very polite. They treated my case as emergency and give me the extraction appointment the next day. Special thanks to lady at the reception ( Shabnam and other lady.). And the doctors ( Aurooj and other doc who helped the extraction) and students ( Daniel) are very professional too considering they are yet to finish their course. Expected some bad outcome as people say NHS is unless. but this place proved me wrong.
Fantastic experience: I took my mum to have 2 teeth extracted today. Nikita and her trainee assistant were amazing, kind and gentle. They made my mum feel at ease. They spoke to my mum in a language she understood, and in simple terms. Every step was explained clearly. I couldnt thank them enough for how pleasantly they completed the treatment.
Fantastic experience: I can't rate them enough lovely place, lovely people
Fantastic experience: service was good and quick. staff was great at their job
Fantastic experience: Thank you for all you kindness shown to me during my visit, together with my painless tooth extraction. You were wonderful. X
Negative experience: Mr.Habib really lets this place down. I’ve never come across anyone more rude at the dental hospital. My 16 year old daughter with autism broke her braces and he slated her in front of everyone and spoke to me like I took my toolbox out and broke them myself. Not only is he disrespectful to patients but to other members of staff. He’s disgusting and needs to keep his vile negative attitude at home. And on top of that, after all the rudeness he finishes with “Good luck trying to fix that!” My daughter had gotten bullied for her teeth and suffered from suicide attempts and has anxiety and does not want to come back to this place. He is appalling! I wonder if he would have said that if her dad was sitting next to me. He needs the sack as soon as possible. Unacceptable behaviour.
Fantastic experience: Totally felt listened to which is important especially when you feel anxious visiting dentists. The time scale and plan moving forward were explained in full and I was assured we wouldn't move on to the next step until I felt happy with the step that we are in treatment for.
Positive experience: Parking Expensive and appointments are always behind the time given by 1.5hrs at least otherwise the staff are friendly.
Positive experience: I've been meaning to leave a review for some time, maybe 4 years ago I had some dental surgery work done here. I've just had my final appointment to check that everything is fine. Everything is all good. The staff are very friendly. When I first visited, I was so nervous because I have anxiety when it comes to surgery but they were brilliant in dealing with that. I've seen the before and after x-rays and you can see the improvement.
Fantastic experience: I went to have my wisdom tooth removed today following my consultation the week before. To say I was scared was an understatement.. but the 2 student girls that done my procedure (sorry forgot their names) but they were so sweet and friendly and so reassuring. The girl who carried out the extraction had the most soothing voice. I couldn't have asked for 2 better girls to do the treatment. Thank you so much for making it a lot less daunting for me. The longest part was being numbed the extraction took about 2 minutes if that.
Fantastic experience: The Dental Hospital offers excellent treatment. All of the work undertaken by the students is overseen by tutors. Patients can be confident that they will be looked after. The new(ish) Hospital is clean and tidy. There are toilets, which are kept in good order. There is a small cafe. Parking is adequate but charges apply. As the Hospital is accessed easily from both the Bristol Road and the Pershore Road arrival by bus presents no problem. I have attended the Dental Hospital for 40 years and have nothing but praise for the students and tutors
Positive experience: Took son to appointment half hour wait but was early
Negative experience: Only if I could give give them 0 stars I've been in alot of pain for the last 6 months and been waiting for my appointment today I rang them and after being on hold for 40 mins at 1200 I got a message saying were closing today at 1200 and will be open on 01 June. WTH is wrong with this place
Fantastic experience: I love going to the dental hospital I he ave a fantastic 4th year student called Nikhil he's so good @ what he does so thorough he'll make a great dentist once he passes next year
Fantastic experience: My 5 yr old son had to have 6 teeth out and we was so nervous as he had to be put to sleep. Every single doctor there made us feel so confident about what they were doing. The Birmingham Dental Hospital has to be the only place I have had confidence in. Thank you so much for all your help. Amazing doctors and nurses.
Fantastic experience: Very professional but needs to improve waiting times for appointments.
Fantastic experience: Short post, I have just had a removal of a tooth today and can honestly say, I have never been treated with so much care and compassion before.. Thank you so, so very much for everything!!
Fantastic experience: Went to Dental Hospital Birmingham this morning (Oral care) ground floor Luciano lovely Dental Technician really looked after me .Many thanks Luch.John
Fantastic experience: Absolutely excellent. Have been amazing with my sons brace treatment. Best in brum
Fantastic experience: The staff was redirecting and guiding actually through the right place and destination in order to treat my affection
Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at the Bham Dental Hospital (after referral from my own Dentist) and having continuing treatment over the past year. The nurses and hygienists are all first rate, very kind, supportive and caring. I cannot thank them enough. My appointments are usually on time or within 15-30 minutes and last about an hour. The building itself is modern, clean and spacious - though for those with vertigo (as I have) the open glass walled staircases are daunting, so I use the lifts! There is a small cafe area on ground floor. Car parking available adjacent to the Hospital. Buses 61 63 pass close by from city centre along the Bristol Rd, takes about 20 minutes. As others have said the Hospital is a credit to the NHS and all who work and train there.
Fantastic experience: It's a great place when your dentist can't help, very friendly staff excellent parking and fairly priced compared to other NHS parking areas
Fantastic experience: Very well organised, very professional. I was seen at the appointed time and was happy with the treatment.
Fantastic experience: I had a severe tooth ache since few days but it started swelling and bleeding since last night. After going through a bad experience of a private dental clinic, I got an emergency appointment with BDH today afternoon. every member who I met was very welcoming and positive. Doctor Rachel whom examined me initially gave clear answers patiently with a smile. I had to extract my paining tooth and was quickly treated by Dr. Rajesh and team. It was really a great experience. Highly recommended. Keep up your great work. Healthcare is truly a service here.
Positive experience: I have Botox in my jaw for TMJ with Mr Simon White. He is one of the best NHS practitioners I have ever been treated by. He takes a genuine interest in you, listens to you, takes his time and doesn’t rush you and speaks to you respectfully. The only thing that would make my experience of the dental hospital better is if they stuck to their appointment timeframes. For example I might agree with Mr White I need to come back in 6 months time, but they never ever book you in within that time frame. I wouldn’t mind so much if it was never agreed but why have consultants recommend timescales if the booking team don’t adhere to them? So be prepared to wait up to 11 months when 6 was agreed and your face is throbbing by the time you get an appointment. Having said this, none of this is Mr Whites fault- I can’t fault him.
Fantastic experience: Having severe anxiety of tooth removal because of a past bad experience, I was referred to the dental hospital to have 2 teeth removed using inhalation sedation. The people who did the work I cannot praise enough. They talked me through every step and looked after me with with the utmost care. Well done and my sincere thanks once again.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic. My 13 year old daughter had a lump removed from her mouth and all of the theatre staff were brilliant. They should be commended. Their way with her put her at ease as she was very worried. Wonderful staff! Can't praise highly enough.
Negative experience: Dentist tried to refer someone here twice, rejected and been told they are rejecting ALOT of justified referrals!!! Joke
Negative experience: They would rather you end up in A&E with sepsis than actually treat anything themselves. Telling someone with an abscess that is causing fever, pain, facial numbness, lack of sleep etc to just go away and make an appointment with their dentist when you’ve already told them that you’ve already tried that and the dentist can’t see you for over a month whilst the abscess is getting worse daily, is really tone deaf. Thanks for making me feel like nothing more than an inconvenience, I guess i will just have to pray that this abscess magically vanishes since nobody in the dentistry world seems interested in helping me any time soon.
Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional, lack empathy and patient care ( seems to be a trait in dentists) . After waiting 3 years for an appointment, you get barrage of rudeness. Only to be told to come back in 6 months. There’s a lack of communication from the dentists and just generally very rude. You would have thought after 5 years of training they would have been taught basic patient courtesy.
Fantastic experience: I had an appointment at 10.am on Friday 7th October. I have been suffering with a VERY dry mouth for two years. The service I received was excellent. I had a thorough examination and was given prescriptions which should help to ease the situation please thank those who treated me. Jenny Hodgkinson
Fantastic experience: Super new building with good parking. Feels very Covid safe; the reception staff are very helpful and friendly. The dentists are very kind, knowledgeable and thorough. I have been so impressed with the facilities and technology used to facilitate treatment. Excellent.
Fantastic experience: Hi at short notice devastatingly my local dentist told me I had been excluded due to not booking a check up. Not having the funds to go private I rang 111 and the best they could do was an appointment at Birmingham Dental Hospital. A long way from where I live. Following a consultation there today I had a tooth extracted. Not the best circumstances! However I have to say I received brilliant customer service and treatment. Despite being very busy everybody seemed really professional and caring. The tooth extraction was expertly and painlessly done. Everything was explained clearly to me. Well done!
Fantastic experience: My dentist referred me to the hospital. Excellent from srart to Finnish. Simon took my teeth out. Could not ask for better service. Excellent staff.
Fantastic experience: Excellent Service - Great Staff - Had Broken Tooth Removed From Gum - No Pain & Quick Procedure
Fantastic experience: Was very nervous for a wisdom tooth removal however, staff were very polite and kind. Procedure went great and on time. I reccomend sedation for anyone that is very nervous, I was shaking before I was seen too but as soon as the sedative was introduced I felt calm and 45 mins felt like 10!
Negative experience: This place it's a joke! Keep cancelling my appoitments with no explenation. Being referral by Queen Elizabeth Hospital because of hemophilia disease ages ago and seens from this time only manage to come for a consultation! Congratulations team!
Fantastic experience: I visited the dental hospital today for the removal of my top two wisdom teeth, as a patient who is very nervous about the mouth needles I wanted to praise the staff that worked on me today which were Neil D, Sally B and Bakula B they were excellent and made me feel so comfortable during the procedure. These three members of staff are the best of the best.
Fantastic experience: The Birmingham dental hospital provides you will all your dental needs under one roof, highly professional and courteous service a cut above the rest. They take pride in giving you the best customer service you can expect to receive from a reputable company that they are. I highly recommend the use of Birmingham dental hospital for all your family dental needs.
Negative experience: Completely pathetic the reception is located in the most bizzre area of the building and My Dentist Emile Habib was very rude and was irrational while performing My check up.
Fantastic experience: After many years trying to find the best dentist or Emergency demerits this one is the best of the best that it can get. They are truly the best I’ve been to. Not only do they make you feel comfortable if you have a fear and anxiety of dentists but make you in as much of less pain as they can and talk you though step by step before they do the job and talk to you like you matter. They also make sure that they give you the best care and if you need breaks from it they will sit and talk to you for a little bit before they continues if you need an emergency and scared of dentist then this is the one to go to. Thank you so much to all the team here you really have change my views in dentists.
Fantastic experience: Beyond excellent. Very friendly staff, explained everything. Worked hard to relax you. Excellent work.
Negative experience: Great dentists, no issues with them, it's the fumbling, bungling booking team that let's the whole process down. Mistake after mistake after mistake......
