Fantastic experience: This is a very special practice. Everyone including the receptionists are super helpful and kind. The dentists are very experienced and gentle and explain everything before any works done. Highly recommended.

The desk team are courteous and have always greeted me with a smile. My dentist Emma H is fantastic. Having not visited a dentist for nearly 10 years prior to Somerhill Dental, over the course of 7 years, Emma has managed to ease my fear of sitting in the chair so that I'm no longer breaking out in a sweat! Both Emma & her team are extremely supportive and I appreciate their patience with me, as well as their sound advice in my oral healthcare. Positive experience: The dental nurse was lovely. It's a shame a scale and polish wasn't offered considering its included in the 'price band.!' Apparently you have to ask for it as the dentist won't do this anymore unless they consider it necessary. It is nice though the the dentist explained my x ray and pointed out areas to look out for

Negative experience: I’m sorry but get ready for a dreadful review! After such a wonderful experience with Sabrina some weeks ago, my experience with the dental hygienist Paul Ash was completely the opposite. Clearly a lovely guy but sadly lack any ‘bed side ‘ manner of making me feel comfortable . He doesn’t seem to realise that the patient needs to spit out water every so often and rinse their mouth. On numerous occasions I had to ask if I could do this. Rather than elevating the chair so I could reach the sink, I had to pull myself up from lying down position , in order to do this. As well ,although he was using the device to remove the liquid in my mouth, he wasn’t removing it all and I had to ask if I could spit it out again having to pull myself up to sit it out in the stink. Some times I just to swallow the water almost choking. He was quite rough at times and when Inmade sounds he seemed to be oblivious. Completely unresponsive . When the cleaning came to an end i just lay there wondering what to do..No “Well that’s all done, you can leave now”. Just blanket silence! Not happy!!!

Fantastic experience: Erica the dental hygienist, what a Diamond of a lady Many years 10+ I’ve been seeing her & I can’t recommend Erica enough. So thoughtful, considerate to my own personal twinges/ pains/nerves & actually someone you can talk to unconditionally without prejudice whilst having your teeth cleaned professionally Kate at reception, absolutely a legend (she even asked at my last review how my referral was going) - (Do have to say, another young receptionist said she’d email me my paid up hygienist receipt Monday 11/3/25, but no email received yet…) However, I’m continually impressed with this dental surgery Jo Clark

Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience at the dentist today! After not visiting in years, I was understandably a little nervous. However, from the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming. The dentist was absolutely amazing – so warm, comforting, and thorough. She explained everything clearly, creating a safe and non-judgmental environment. I felt truly informed and at ease throughout the entire appointment. Even the dental nurse was lovely! The whole team was just so friendly and professional. Signing up was a breeze, and I was really impressed with how quickly they responded to my emails and offered a variety of convenient appointment times. This is such a wonderful dental practice, and I couldn't recommend them highly enough!
