Negative experience: used to be the best dentist in the county,, then a few yrs ago a new practice manager came in,, and you miss an appt now,, you get taken off their list, reguardless of circumstance or what else is happenning in your life. Its a bit stupid to push patients away its a bit callous to remove them from your lists , especially when youve just employed so many new dentists. Ive known Jimmy 20 yrs and hes an amazing Kind Warm hearted indervidual, who wants to help.. sadly this attitude isnt followed through by foh staff. Ill be back to my english dentist again then.. thanks Jimmy, your a star! It pains me to write this review and I hoped to be writing nothing but kind words about you.

Fantastic experience: A big thank you to DrJimmy Charro and his team. Initially I was an anxious and claustrophobic patient. A visit to the dentist for a check up and treatment was one to be endured rather than welcomed. Now I look forward to my appointments, my dental health is well looked after and I have every confidence that this will continue. The practice has an highly skilled, professional, friendly and compassionate team with a willingness to explain and answer questions in easy to understand lay persons language. Their expertise helped to calm my nervousness and I was able to appreciate and comprehend the processes involved in the recommended treatment. I was given a comprehensive written and signed plan which I found to be invaluable to use as a reminder of the agreed procedures, the timeframe and the cost. There is an efficient and effective appointment system and reception staff go over and above to manage a seamless service. The building is modern, well equipped with a welcoming atmosphere. There is a wide range of dental services with a mixture of NHS and private treatments. My recent plan included a combination of both which incorporated :- * Assessment, consultation, advice and instruction. * X-rays, scan and impressions. * Simple and surgical extraction. * Replacement and new fillings. * Scaling and polishing * Michigan hard splint and occlusal equilibration. * Restorative work. * Large dental implant. Professor Paul Tipton, Dr Jimmy Charro, Mr Vivek James, dental nurses and assistants were involved in my treatment. I was impressed by the treatment I had to address the effects on my teeth and jaw from habitual teeth grinding. Professor Tipton and Dr Charro were very patient and reassuring, particularly as I sometimes struggled to articulate my jaw. Their ability to dispel my fears and their use of humour put me at ease, instilling my trust in them . The outcome is a significant reduction in jaw pain, much less jaw clicking , an elimination of related headaches and a significant improvement in bite and jaw movement. The whole process from start to finish of a large dental implant was amazing. I had no idea how complex and interesting the process would be when I first considered it. Remarkably at one stage the treatment room became a sterile surgical theatre . Surprising, given all that was involved there was minimal pain. Such a fascinating experience and I am thrilled with the outcome. Dr Charro’s expertise in this area is very evident . I an indebted to all the clinicians involved in my dental care and to Mrs Margaret Bennett for her unfailing efficacy in managing my various appointments and patience in responding to my queries either face to face or by phone . Thank you .

Fantastic experience: Super nervous patient.. as soon as. i stepped in the room i was made to feel at ease, i needed an extraction which absolutely petrified me but The dentist talked me through the whole process, reassuring me throughout, from the injections to the the actual extraction was no more than 15 minutes. i would highly recommend this dentist, i felt no pain and was over the moon when it was done so quickly and with ease. i don’t have the best teeth but he had made a plan to get me feeling confident at smiling. am so grateful as i have had some horrible experiences at other dentist but he was excellent. Positive experience: Wonderful service, just had two teeth extracted Jimmy was very caring, I can honestly say that I felt no pain from the injection and none when the teeth were extracted. Had the stitches taken out and once again no pain. The dental nurse was also very caring.

Negative experience: Was referred to here from 111 Emergency...for a tooth removal...2 out of 3 needles for Numbing were blunt hurt quite badly...Almost choking on the air suction line that goes into your mouth..the person who helps the dentist started to hold the suction hose down my throat while having a conversation with the dentist and i had to pull the suction line out of my mouth..Made me feel like .they didn't want me there...horrible experience

My wife had an emergency extraction today due to an abcesss. Reception staff were very helpful and informative when booking the appointment as soon as possible. Fantastic experience: My family and I have been visiting Jimmy for 11 years since we moved to Wales. He is an excellent dentist and we feel very lucky to have him. He has a masters degree and is very up to date with the latest techniques and research. I have 100% confidence in his skills . The nursing team and reception team with the wonderful Margaret Bennett are lovely, very caring and helpful. Also a shout out for Vivek James - he is so very gentle and can do teeth cleaning with no pain !

Fantastic experience: A bit apprehensive as this was my first appointment since before the pandemic. I needn't have worried, as the service received was excellent. Add a quirky sense of humour to the mix, and I actually left the practice with a smile on my face.

Fantastic experience: I called 111 for an emergency dentist and I was directed to Charro. At the dentist they were friendly and professional, they did the job in record time and I didn't feel a thing. I had an abscess due to a rotting root, while other dentists ignored the issue and looked for easier money, Jimmy Charro was straight to the point and handled the problem with respect and offered helpful advice before and after the extraction. I can't recommend anywhere more than here.

Fantastic experience: Went to Mr Charrow, with an agonising infection as an emeregency patient. He got me sorted quickly with antibiotics and completed the treatment with a root canal over a couple of vists to its completion. Professional, competant and caring practitioner. Thanks you Mr Charrow.

Fantastic experience: The receptionists are very friendly and helpful-my husband has mobility and health problems ,the assistant to Mr Charro was kind patient and caring to make him comfortable . The tooth extraction was done very efficiently by Mr Charro giving advice on the aftercare of the gum.

Fantastic experience: I had some emergency dental work done October last year. The work I needed to have done was not an easy task, a tooth extracton withn a curved root. Just what I did not need with my fear of dentist work. Jimmy and his team were open and honest about the work I needed doing and were very supportive of my fears. The surgery is impecably clean from top to bottom and all staff were polite and empathetic. Jimmy took an hour to get my tooth out and through the whole time he was patient and empathetic. I was not an easy patient, terrified and needed a lot of medication to keep me seated. The first week of recovery was agony, but I stuck to what I was told to do and when I went back to have the stitches out the gum had started the healing process nicely with no infection. Jimmy is a brilliant Dentist who knows his stuff. He said it would take 3 months for the gum to fully heal and the jaw bone six months. True to form I can now eat for the first time on both sides of my mouth and I feel great. I am now comtemplating coming back to tackle my gum diesease when I can save some more pennies. On a good note I gave up smoking. I stopped that week and never went back so all in all a good result. I highly recomend Jimmy and his team they are truly amazing.

Fantastic experience: The best dental practice I have been at so far. Petrified of dentists to start with I entered the room on an emergancy appointment to be told my tooth needed to be extracted. I started to have an instant panic attack which made things even harder to the dentist and nurse but they were so understanding and supportive to the extent that they are now go to dental practice. Fantastic experience: Wow! What an amazing dental practice. Jimmy Charro and his team were totally professional, friendly and caring from start to finish. My partner was referred there through nhs 111 as an emergency patient and how please we were as a result! We phoned up, gave the reference number and were offered a quick appointment same day or a longer appointment 2 day's later which he accepted. He was told he needed a wisdom tooth extraction which they offered to do the next day. Both on that appointment and the next, he was made fully aware of all the information needed, the appointment wasn't rushed and he was given the chance to ask any questions he had. Despite my partner being a visibly nervous patient, Dentist Jimmy Charro and his team reassured and put my partner at ease throughout. He barely felt the procedure and left on a total high saying that the dentist is a genius! Thank you Jimmy Charro and team for your professionalism and kind caring approach. Dr. Charro explained everything to me and carried out the dental procedure very quickly and efficiently and all the while reassuring me and keeping me informed of exactly what he was doing. If I was able to afford private treatment I would not hesitate becoming one of his patients. But being a pensioner private dental treatment is not an option for me.

Fantastic experience: We have been patients of Dr Charro for some 12 years and have always been impressed by his enormous skill, professional knowledge and yet humble and approachable manner. His reception staff are invariably helpful and welcoming, both by phone and in-person. The surgery is spotlessly clean, cheerful, airy and spacious. Parking is always available. My wife needed a wisdom tooth extraction in July 2022 and had been apprehensive about this but on the day Dr Charro immediately resssured her and with his great skill and effective pain management the whole procedure was very quick. An X-ray revealed that I too required an extraction for which I received an appointment within a week of the X-ray. As a result of my wife's positive experience I was quite at ease for the procedure which really helped as the extraction was more complicated than hers due to the extent of tooth decay, with the result that I needed a 'surgical' extraction, often performed in hospital following a long waiting period. Again I felt little pain due to Dr Charro's very effective and targetted anaesthesia. The dental nurse gave me timely and clear advice regarding an eating routine for that day. Dr Charro gave me a clearly worded post-procedure advice sheet which has been easy to follow. He supplemented this with verbal advice. As a result of his skill and attention to detail the wound is healing well. We would have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending Dr Charro's professional dental services.

Fantastic experience: I visited Jimmy yesterday which was an emergency appointment. I had a fractured tooth where it had to be extracted. The procedure went very well. I cannot thank Jimmy and his staff enough for all the help and advise that was given to me. Thank you so much to all of you.
