I have been suffering with bleeding gums for many years and it got so bad that I'm starting to loose my teeth so I did more research and went with Behrens for my treatment. Fantastic experience: I cannot praise Dr. Berhens Dental Practice enough and want to thank Dr. Berhens and all the team for their excellent care, expertise and dedication. The reception room at the practice is very comfortable and relaxing accompanied by a welcoming response on arrival for appointments. When I unexpectedly became aware that I had a serious gum disease, I was devastated but when I read about Duo-lase at Berhens, I knew that was the best treatment that I could receive so I immediately booked my appointments. After my initial assessment and two deep cleans, a series of Duo-lase treatments began. When completed, I then saw Dr. Berhens and was delighted to learn that the harmful bacteria associated with gum disease had successfully been removed. Negative experience: After using this clinic for 13-14 years and my husband for 15+, its unfortunate, but we are clients no more for two reasons: the quality of work and their relentless chase of profit over relationships and client satisfaction. OIe Behrens (who btw more or less checked out now) has fitted me a crown over a year ago. Since then i've come back twice saying there is pain in discomfort because food gets stuck and it gets infected. He never did anything, but just charged me for appointments cleaning it and saying there is nothing he can do. Ever since this tooth bothers me every single day. Separately a few weeks ago, i made an appointment for my 79 year old mother who had a chipped tooth. Behrens wasn't available and I settled for a close enough date with another doctor. Nothing about this appointment screamed urgency, except for me mentioning the word "emergency" - jokingly and casually used with the grumpy receptionist on the day. Guess what, on top of their ridiculous prices, they charged my mother 150 pounds for "emergency appointment" without mentioning to me that the appointment is emergency and there will be a surcharge. When i brought it up with Behren's wife's sister and then with his wife (a bit of a family business now) she said there is nothing she can do now that she would ask Ole and get back to me. 3 weeks later I still have not received that phone call. Its really sad that people do not understand value of relationships or customer service. They lost customers and local recommendations for good.

I've seen a couple of the dentists there, one for a wisdom tooth removal and it was plain sailing. This is the best practice in terms of their transparency and just how they deliver everything from the moment you walk in. Based in a beautiful Georgian building you with great decor, you forget you’re in a dental practice. It’s worth jumping on the tube to go to South Ken’s as it’s a beautiful location and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They’ve earned their stars no questions! Negative experience: AVOID. ALTERNATIVE DENTIST RECOMMENDATION BELOW. Save your time, money and peace. The quality of this dental practice, treatment of clients, customer service, and dental work has drastically declined since I first started with this practice last year. The receptionist has the worst attitude I’ve ever experienced. Condescending, moody and feels the need to give patients in distress a lecture. Please go elsewhere if you’re looking for kindness, dentists who care, and are highly trained, rather than those who prioritise profit over patient care, charging for procedures over multiple sessions that can almost always be completed in a single appointment. I highly recommend Dr Andreia Phipps, who has left Behrens for South Kensington Medical Dental. What a shame. Used to be a such great practice that has completely gone down the tubes. Hope this saves some people from the distress, large amounts wasted money and bad dental work I now have to correct elsewhere!

Fantastic experience: I found The Behrens Dental Practice by chance whilst searching online. I’d developed gum disease and I needed some help fast but I didn’t know where to go. Initially on calling the clinic the treatment was explained to me and I knew i had to go for it. I was always put at ease and each stage of my treatment was explained carefully to me. I was apprehensive about the amount of travelling up to London as I live in Devon. I had 10 sessions of laser over quite a few weeks. It was well worth all the effort and I was so happy that the treatment was successful. Your oral health is so important and I didn’t know that gum disease can lead to more severe health problems if left untreated. I have now learned how to look after my teeth and gums which I didn’t do properly before. I was also able to get a payment plan which helped greatly with the cost of the treatments. I cannot recommend The Behrens Dental Practice enough. I was so touched by how kind and compassionate all the staff were to me, they are all wonderful. I cannot thank them enough.

Fantastic experience: 5 stars. I would definitely recommend this practice if you suffer from gum desease. My first contact with the practice was over the phone with Mimi. She really took her time to explain the treatment, answerred my questions, she was very patient and so reassuring. I knew I had severe gum desease and was very worried. At my first appointment I had xray done, treatment plan was explained to me in details. I had many deep clean and laser sessions done by Zainab and Paulina who were so kind, reassuring, and always making sure the treatment was comfortable. I am now done with my treatment and am so happy to say that I am free from the bad bacteria. I now need to maintain my hygiene and have a check up every 3 months.

Everyone has been friendly, approachable, and supportive. For me, Isheta has been the most consistent and excellent hygienist. She is down-to-earth, works with me to address my concerns, and is thorough in her approach. She takes her time and doesn't rush, providing realistic goals and advice while keeping it genuine. Fantastic experience: I’ve just finished Duo-lase treatment plan and was the best decision I ever made for my teeth. I had a severe Pocket graded 9 with bone loss an expecting to need an implant which is now a 1 and signs of regeneration. Means no further dental work needed just regular hygienist and check ups ! No more bad bacteria present and both gums and teeth are the healthiest for a very long time! Highly recommend Dr Behrens and the Duo Lase plan!

Fantastic experience: I have an extremely bad phobia of the dentist due to really bad experience abroad. I never changed my dentist for about 10 years up until 2 years ago almost , firstly I met dr Andrea I use to cry just as the mirror goes in my mouth but she’s made me feel so calm and brave , today the same tooth that gave me my big phobia had to be extracted and Dr Ole Behrens , he was truly so patient I was so nervous the first time around that I was out of control with my crying and panic attacks that I had to come back the second time and took a Valium , he took me step by step and told me each tool that he was using and exactly how each step would feel he would stop and give me breaks to help calm me down, I truly believe my phobia has gone thanks to dr Behrens and dr Andrea as she came to check on me before and after my procedure , it’s truly the best clinic and team I’ve come across I appreciate their kindness towards me and they’ve never made me feel misunderstood or embarrassed for my behaviour. Fantastic experience: I have had Periodontal issues for the past 10 years and previous treatments I found painful and that the issues always came back. I made an appointment with Ole after having severe pain when eating and though I had to have one tooth extracted (but will be having an implant), I then started the duo-lase appointments to finally kick the gum disease for good. The team at Behrens practice made the process of booking the multiple sessions required easy and flexible timings and this was done efficiently by Mimi and Prash on reception. The treatment was painless compared to the previous periodontal work I had experienced and this process was carried out by Soniya, Sajina and Zainab. The gum disease has now gone and my pockets are very much reduced so hope to avoid losing any further teeth. A big thank-you to all the Behrens team; made visiting the dentist a delight rather than a dread!

Negative experience: After being a patient here for over 10 years, both for myself and my entire family, I can confirm that while the doctors and hygienists are consistently professional, the reception staff is unfortunately often rude and unfriendly. It's reached a point where I'm seriously considering moving to another practice where the first point of contact is more welcoming—especially considering that, as a paying customer, this is part of the experience I expect.

Fantastic experience: I was diagnosed with periodontal disease about a year ago after noticing my gums were bleeding while brushing. After multiple visits to my local dentist with no improvement, I started to feel disheartened – things were actually getting worse! I'm 27 and generally healthy, so this wasn’t something I expected to be dealing with… When my dentist mentioned referring me to a specialist, probably for scalpel surgery, I decided to look into other options myself. That’s when I found out about laser surgery. After doing some research, it sounded like a better alternative – more effective, far less invasive, etc. and that’s basically how I came across Behrens. I did a bit of reading up, saw the good reviews, and decided to call up. The first phone call was already a positive start. The receptionist was super friendly and took the time to really speak with me. She answered my questions and made me feel a lot more confident about going ahead with the treatment. I ended up signing up not long after our call for a month-long intensive laser treatment. I was travelling from Brighton, but getting to the practice from central London was pretty easy. Upon my first visit, the welcoming atmosphere was just the same as it had been over the phone. The practice itself is really nice (personal touches like the music selection go a long way). Throughout the treatment, I saw my ‘main’ dentist and several other dental hygienists – all of whom were knowledgeable and approachable. The sessions never felt rushed, and the staff were always happy to answer my questions (naturally, I had quite a few). Within a couple of sessions, I was already starting to see progress, like less bleeding, and my gums were looking a bit less swollen. This was surprising for me since I hadn’t seen any improvement previously, despite religiously following my local dentist’s advice… Behrens does bacteria tests and pocket charts before and after the treatment, so you can track your progress. After just over a month of this treatment, and following my ‘homework’ (flossing properly, TePe, etc.), I am amazed – my gum pockets have shrunk significantly (nearly all are now in the ‘healthy’ range with no bleeding), and the best news is I have NO bad bacteria left… Wow… Just wow… What a turnaround, honestly. My gums feel so much better already, and overall, I just feel healthier again. Let’s just say I won’t be returning to my local dentist – the journey to London is worth it for me. Fantastic experience: After having several implants my partner suffered a severe month infection. She was worried i would lose her implants. She phoned up Behrens and on the initial call (no money having changed hands) they spent an hour talking the situation through with her. Their offices in South Ken are very conveniently located. They devised a multi stage treatment plan including deep cleaning of the gums. An infection which has existed off and on for a number of years now seems to be under control. If you have problems with your teeth and are despairing around what to do these guys are world class. Recommended.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend the Periidontal treatment provided at the Behrens Debtal Practice highly enough. After visiting alternative Periodontists for the past 12 years, I have never reached the point where the deep pockets I have had for some time have been completely resolved. When I first came, the pickets were the worst they had ever been and I feared I would lose teeth as a result. All staff at the practice are extremely professional and explained the treatment every step of the way. I am extremely pleased with the results of my treatment!

Fantastic experience: I cannot rate highly enough. I have been totally blown away by my experience at the Behrens practice. After years of being told by a number of different dentists and periodontists that my gum pockets and aggressive gum disease were just a fact of ageing and the only solution offered was invasive surgery involving cutting the gum, I was overwhelmed to find out that a simple, quick, relatively non invasive treatment was available and could have my oral health back to near perfect within just a couple of months. Enter Duolase! It feels like magic has been performed and not only were all my dental practitioners and the reception team fully professional, but also friendly, empathetic and understanding of the struggles I've had in the past. Fantastic experience: I am absolutely delighted to have had my results today. The periodontal disease I have struggled with for years has been stopped and I am now free of those bacteria causing it. My pockets have greatly reduced and I could feel things improving over the last two months and the healing process still continues. Other Periodontists have given me no hope and I am so glad I didn’t believe them that there is little that can be done. I had to travel all the way from Cornwall for my appointments but it was definitely worth it. I came to them with Periodontal disease annd bleeding gums and they also picked up that I needed three deep fillings, one of which was possibly not going to be possible and would require a tooth removal. Dr Behrens saved one of my teeth that could potentially have had to come out and he did a filling. He was so kind. Mimi infuses the reception with love and care and makes me feel I can do anything! Fantastic experience: Gum swelling, bleeding while brushing my teeth and sensitivity, especially while drinking cold liquids, were some symptoms I had been struggling with for some time. I have tried everything in my book, but this is not improving, my local dental hygienist concluded when I saw her last. She decided to make an onward referral to my local dentist. He confirmed the diagnosis. It would help if you took action, he said. I grew increasingly concerned. I was given essentially two choices, the first of which would involve having invasive treatment and a surgical procedure. The alternative was a "new" treatment, which I learnt later. It was called laser therapy. Painless, non-invasive, no surgical procedure involved. It sounded like music to my ears. However, I was advised it could be costly and that it was only available in a few places in the country. Searching online, I discovered a clinic that could provide such treatment. The Behrens dental practice. To cut a long story short, after 3 months of treatment, I came for my final visit today. My specialist concluded. You have made a fantastic recovery, and I am happy with these results. There is no longer bleeding, and your gums look healthy. I said, Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am so pleased to know that I have finally been sorted. My doctor's assessment was unsurprising, as I noted a gradual improvement in my symptoms a few weeks into the treatment. Today, they have all fully settled. I have learned many things in this "journey", including how to brush my teeth as a PRO. The fancy technology, excellent location for the dental practice, and facility are all great. However, what impressed me the most was the fantastic team that took care of me. They are caring, patient, very patient, especially with patients like me who are always terrified to visit the dentist. Again, thank you very much to the whole team. I definitely recommend it.

Fantastic experience: I RECOMMEND BEHRENS DUO-LASE PERIODONTAL TREATMENT A conventional periodontist told me that their proposed treatment would result in a visible reduction in my gums. I searched for a less drastic alternative and found the Behrens Duo-Lase system. I am very pleased that I did. The reception team are very welcoming and helpful. Dr Andreia and hygienists Sajina and Zainab are professional yet also friendly. An application of numbing gel made the treatment virtually painless. The results exceeded my expectations with pocket depths of up to 7mm in some places reduced to 1-3mm. I recently saw my regular dentist for a routine check up and she confirmed that the laser treatment had worked.

Fantastic experience: That’s the best and true place to look after your gum health and teeth and the bonus is nobody frowns up you because you have gag reflex or is anxious about the dentist. They actually help you to overcome years of dentist trauma. After 2 years , going to the dentist every 3 months to deep clean my teeth instead of getting better the pockets got worse , the gum was constantly bleeding , and even an growth skin behind my front tooth just a month after my deep cleaned appeared. I spent Christmas not able to bite or eat …until I came to The Behrens dental practice where they use laser to kill bacteria and another one to promote the health of your gum. From Andreia the dentist such a calm, gentle and nurture professional to Sonya which did my 7 laser treatments. I wouldn’t have survived without Sonya patience, care , support and dedication. Nobody ever cleaned my teeth like her. She is a star. Today I finished my treatment and I have no more bleeding or pain to eat . Fantastic experience: Having peridontal disease for years and feeling judged by many dentists during this time I finally plucked up the courage to visit the Behrens practice. I travelled from Leeds feeling very nervous but was put at ease straight away and have not felt judged at all. The staff are so warm and welcoming. Fantastic experience: I met Kelly for an oral hygienist visit as I had a horrible toothache on the left side of my face. I went to an emergency appointment before this one, and they did an X-ray and found nothing and said they didn't know what was causing it. She was so welcoming and as a patient that hasn't been to the dentist for 12 years, I felt really calm. I told her my problem and she examined my tooth. As soon as I told her about my x-ray scan, she looked at it and knew it wasn't a root canal problem. She then triggered a light bulb moment and asked if I had a really bad cold when the toothache started and I confirmed it to be true. I knew that was the answer and I felt even calmer. She recommended a neti pot to clean the sinuses. Although I didn't use a neti pot because I rarely get colds and sinus infections, the toothache is now gone because my cold is gone too. She's a wonderful, insightful dentist who is so willing to help her patients. I'm so glad I visited her to get my tooth checked (and cleaned too)!

Fantastic experience: Devisha was brilliant from the beginning to the end of my treatment. I had composite bonding on my top and bottom teeth. I was very anxious about having this done but Devisha put me at ease straight away explaining everything as she went along. I am so pleased with the end results, absolutely fabulous 10/10! Fantastic experience: Excellent, I came to Behrens after reading all the reviews after my previous dentist recommended taking out my back teeth due to periodontal disease that they diagnosed. Apparently the bacteria could spread and i could lose all my teeth. Fantastic experience: After years of the usual periodontal treatment I've recently completed a successful Duo-Lase course with The Behrens Dental Practice. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Fantastic experience: I came across Behrens searching desperately through the internet when travelling from Australia. I had a denture that had unexpectedly broken leaving me with an unsightly gap in my 3 front teeth. I was leaving London 3 days later but would not be back to my own dentist for another two months. From the moment I rang I was completely confident that Behrens would be able to help. Every member of staff were supportive, excellent communicators and totally professional. Dr Behrens took a mould and was able to have the repaired denture back from the lab within 48 hours. The cost was reasonable, especially given the emergency circumstances. It's unlikely I will be in South Kensington ever needing a dentist again but if I was, these would be my go to people. Thank you all.

Fantastic experience: 11 months ago my boyfriend received some heartbreaking news from our dentist - that he was going to lose the bridge on his front teeth due to serious infections that had eradicated the bone surrounding his roots (because of complications that arose from previous dental work after he had been in an accident when he was young). The bone loss was so severe that there was a significant chance that an implant would not be feasible and that he would have to wear dentures for the rest of his life. He was 32, so to be given this as a possible outcome was a huge shock and left us both quite depressed. After extensive research online, we found out about laser dentistry and how it is the most promising new technology for fighting dental infections. Subsequently we found out about The Behrens Dental Practice and that is when everything changed. Two double bone grafts, 2 implants and 10 quick months later and my boyfriend is walking around with two brand new teeth that look far better than the ones he had lost. And the results speak for themselves. One month later and the implants and crowns are rock solid with no pain or weakness whatsoever. I also ended up having a very complicated surgical extraction with him and everything went perfect. Fantastic experience: I have been going to Behrens Dental practice since 2019, I have seen most of the dentists there, and I can say all at Behrens are excellent dentists , but I must say Dr Olli does the most gentle extraction , mine was like a dream, ….it’s done ? …. Yes ! This has been the best dentist practice and I have been to a few previously . I first went to Behrens dental practice after researching laser for Periodontal Treatment , my gums had some deep pockets that other dentist did not have the answer , Behrens dental practice set to work in my mouth after thorough examination test to analyse the bacteria and antibiotic was given ,my next appointment to see Dr Olli for extraction and to Soniya for deep cleaning and laser treatment . During Covid my treatment had to stop for a while because of lockdown .I was bowled over to receive in the post little cleaning brushes to keep up the good work, wow! How caring is this ? And a letter to reassure me if I needed extra treatment , because of lockdown they would give at no extra charge. I’m impressed already ! As it turned out I did not need any extra treatment . Laser works! After four years my gums are healthy without any pockets. I continue to see Soniya.Soniya is very professional, also very caring and will always advise me what is best to do in for good hygiene .I appreciate her thoughtfulness and her professionalism , that I recommended to my husband and daughter and now they go to see Soniya . Negative experience: Be cautious of the suspicious reviews flooding Google for this dentist. Here is a real review - I had such a incredibly negative encounter that I feel compelled to share. After multiple visits, the sealant applied to my tooth broke off repeatedly, leaving me highly dissatisfied. Moreover, the reception staff, particularly Parsh Vijayan exhibited shocking levels of rudeness and unprofessionalism. Although I eventually managed to secure a refund after a lengthy and uncomfortable exchange, the experience provided was terrifying.
