Fantastic experience: Had an amazing experience going to this dentist for an implant tooth to replace a broken tooth that had to be removed. Dr Leanne Branton and her team are very friendly and professional as I'm not a fan of the dentist but they make the experience feel so easy. I'm very pleased with my implant and the care I have been given here and I would definitely recommend it!

Fantastic experience: This is a great dental practice. Everyone is very pleasant and helpful from the girls in reception, to the nurses and dentists themselves. The standard of care is excellent. I am informed at every stage of my options and cost involved. A visit to the dentist was something that had to be endured but I now no longer dread having to make those biennial visits. My dentist Lucy Sinclair explains the procedures so clearly and is sensitive to my concerns. Lucy was my dentist in Glasgow and when she moved through to Edinburgh I felt that it was worth making the trip through in in order to continue with the first class level of treatment. Within the last two years I’ve had two sets of dental implants which replaced crowns which had reached the end of their lifespan. The first was so successful that I had no hesitation in going ahead with the second when it became necessary. I can highly recommend Southside Dental Practice.

Negative experience: Dr. Jasmin Dingri was fantastic, she got 5 stars, carefully and friendly explaining all the options and treatments available and advising me on what would be best for me. However, the booking system is terrible. After my appointment, I was harassed until late in the evening with repeated texts and phone calls asking me to confirm further appointments for the same day, which I had never booked. Someone named Leanne and Mark simply bombarded me with texts and calls.

Fantastic experience: Receptionist staff are very helpful and cheerful. I feel completely confident that during treatment that I am getting the very best expert attention. Careful explanations are always given. I have no hesitation in recommending these dentists.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible experience here. Not been in six years as a polish and clean left me bloody and in agony for days. Hoped today would be better. A simple X ray and it was painful and the plate was repeatedly jammed into my gums, and was told to just put up with it. Then they suggested taking out a filling even though there was nothing wrong in the X ray. Will be looking for another dentist. Oh, and they aren't taking in new NHS patients.

We see Dr Lucy Sinclair who is great, I really trust her and she’s fantastic with my 7 year old (who has been going since she was 5). My daughter looks forward to seeing her! They do a fantastic job, give good advice and explain what they are doing and why. Excellent.

Fantastic experience: The staff here are really lovely. I suffer from a dental phobia, but Jasmine (one of the dentists) talks me through everything and always checks if I need any breaks and if I’m doing ok, that I now no longer have all the anxiety of going to appointments.

Fantastic experience: I had my 1st visit today (Wed 16th April) to the Southside Dental Practice. I was a bit nervous as it was my 1st appointment. Elizabeth was my dentist, she was so patient, kind and gentle. I haven't had such a thorough examination in years. I left feeling so looked after and greatfull to be a patient in the fabulous practice. Nadia was the dental assistant and she was brilliant completely making me feel welcome to the practice. Could not be happier.

Our experience here has been completely new and far better than the service we received from our previous dentist over the years. It was impressive to see how the dentist took her time and clearly explained everything to us. She examined each of us carefully and without rushing, which we had never experienced before in the five years we spent at our previous dentist. We highly recommend Southside for its professionalism.

Positive experience: My hygienist appt with Priya was great, and she was sympathetic about my anxiety as I have sensitive teeth and it’s been quite sore in the past. I was shocked by the price though. Very expensive!

Fantastic experience: Have been with this surgery almost since it first opened and i would thoroughly recommend them. The girls on the reception are professional, polite and extremely efficient. The dentists that I have had at the clinic have all been very reassuring and understanding of my fear of attending. Every treatment is clearly explained and advised on the way forward for your next appoinntment. Anytime I have needed emergency appointments they have been very accommodating at fitting me in as early as possible. I have also had teeth whitening treatment which has been brilliant. Very happy with this surgery and they are a great team from the reception, dentist and hygienist!

Fantastic experience: I have been with Southside Dental Care for many years (15+,at a guess). I recently joined the private dental plan,great value. I have my dentist Lucy, hygienist Rachel, both are lovely caring people,but most importantly extremely skilled. Recently I met dental tooth implant specialist Leanne. I had two separate tooth implants,they look amazing . I lost a tooth near the front,and didn't like to smile,as I could see the gap. It was a much simpler procedure than I thought,and i was very comfortable throughout. Remarkably I didn't have much pain at all either(due to following the painkiller advice, blocking pain before starting).I would highly recommend having tooth implants,to lift your smile again. Leanne is very knowledgeable, confident calming and nice to be around ,her team(including Karen) were exceptional. I have always enjoyed my experience within an organised, professional, friendly helpful and extremely competent group of people,not to forget a great team of dental assistants and lovely friendly accommodating receptionists , which I do think stands out nowadays. I would highly recommend a visit to this practice, whatever your needs.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely first class! Lost a crown and needed it reset. Called this morning expecting to be told I'd have to wait at least a few weeks for an appointment, but no - space available in an hour. Tooth now fixed back in and only cost £16-odd. Gold star for Southside Dental!

Fantastic experience: I’m back home after having a same day ‘onlay with rubber dam’ - if anyone is nervous about this procedure I can confirm there’s absolutely nothing to be concerned about! I was given an injection initially but didn’t feel the injection as the wonderful Ruaridh put some numbing gel on my gum, I then heard the drill but felt no pain whatsoever- and actually I’m extremely nervous of dentists, always have been. A friend of mine recommended this Practice to me a while back and although it’s over the other side of town to where I live Ruaridh and the others at the Practice are absolutely first rate and well worth the commute for me. They make me feel they’re all genuinely interested in giving me the best treatment available and I’m proud of my teeth now thanks to them.

The dentists were excellent and my procedure went smoothly. At the finish of the procedure, my post- op care was explained fully and I left with a printed copy and a variety of items to help me in recovery.
