Having recently become dentist myself, I was particularly impressed with Dr. Craig. He clearly explained all my treatment options and used advanced techniques like intraoral scanning, air abrasion, and excellent dental materials. Fantastic experience: I had a problem with my front tooth being a lot darker than the rest of my teeth for a number years and was told by other dental practices there was nothing that could be done. Craig was excellent as he understood exactly what I needed and suggested a solution which I went with and the results are excellent. I thought I’d have to live with this issue but I was able to have specialist root canal treatment and teeth whitening. I’m delighted with the work and I now feel confident to smile in photos again. Fantastic experience: I am currently undergoing treatment by Dr Marco Yang @ Birchgrove Dental Practice and can I just commend him and the rest of the team (Tess / Lisa / Beth / Dr Craig Lewis) for their professionalism and care. I have taken some of their methods of communication and embedded it into how we deal with patients on the NHS. Dr Marco’s technique of local anaesthetic infiltration is literally painless. And again I have incorporated it into my personal surgical practice. I have nothing but positives to say about the team here. In short, if you want excellent dental care, come here. That’s it. Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with Birchgrove Dental Practice. Craig Lewis was recommended by my dentist as the best orthodontist to correct my very difficult teeth (sorely in need of straightening and with lots of gaps which had exacerbated - or caused - gum disease over the years). The result is incredible, and I can now smile confidently for the first time in over twenty years. Also, as a woman in her sixties, I was not made to feel uncomfortable or embarrassed at having braces at this late stage! Rather, all I experienced was kindness and encouragement, and all my questions were answered clearly and fully. Fantastic experience: I’ve just had my consultation for my fixed 2weeks ago and managed to get them fitted this week. The service has been amazing in a very chilled environment. I’m a little nervous and I’ve felt at ease despite this the entire time. The amount of detail I had given to me at my initial assessment was amazing . 3D scans, real time X-rays and no runny impression. We spent a while looking at various options and I left with a couple of plans to chose and all the information I needed, which was also emailed to me with my photographs the same day and various payment plans which was explained to me even before my first visit. I even called back to ask a question and this was passed on and answered by the dentist within an hour before I booked in!!! :-) Very efficient, thorough and professional. I even left with a goody bag after my braces were fitted and I can’t wait for the end result. 2 of my friends have had braces and their teeth look amazing.

Fantastic experience: I have recently had braces and composite bonding at Birchgrove Dental Practice and I honestly could not recommend this practice and its team any more! From start to finish the dentist was open and honest about my prospective treatment. He gave me multiple treatment options and discussed at length the risks and benefits of all these options, which meant that I then had all the information I needed to make an informed decision about my care. Once I had made a final decision, all the treatment was pain free, booking appointments was easy and my results are more than I could ever had hoped for! Fantastic experience: I've been receiving orthodontic treatment at the surgery and the service and treatment I've received have been absolutely amazing. I had always been put off getting braces as i thought the treatment would take years but after 10 months i've now got the perfect smile. Dr Lewis got back to me with so much detail regarding the treatment options and suggested the best option for me instead of pushing me into a certain option. I was informed of the treatment in a lot of detail and therefore felt so comfortable when i got my braces put on. Fantastic experience: Having been kept awake with toothache, I phoned the surgery as soon as it opened, explained my situation, while I waited on the phone they asked if I could get to the surgery for 3: 30. On arriving at the surgery I was taken to see Dr Craig Lewis, who examined the area causing the pain, had an x-ray, and was told what the problem was, and the treatment commenced. I have to say how professional the visit to the surgery was from the initial phone call to the treatment. I would highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: I went to birchgrove on a recommendation and I'm so glad I did, it's over one hour for me to travel but it was so worth it, I'm getting married in two weeks and wanted the perfect smile, I contacted them in November and sent pictures of my teeth, I needed a brace and very little composite bonding to my two front teeth, I had to act fast as my wedding was only 5 months away, they fitted me straight in and got the ball rolling. Every appointment I attended was second to none, I hate the dentist and was abit nervous at first, but craig and his team are extremely professional at what they do, talked me through everything and I gotta say its nice not to be ragged around in the chair and feel like your drowing in water. 5 months on and my braces are off teeth whitened and composite bonding done, I got my smile I always wanted and they very natural. The comments I've had on them off people are unreal. I highly recommend birchgrove. Top class.

They explained all the options with cost and expectations of duration of treatment for each which was really helpful. At the initial consultation, Craig was great and explained the process fully, which put me really at ease. Fantastic experience: Still amazed how Birchgrove Dental Practice managed this transformation in less than a year and even kept all my original teeth intact! After being told by many dentists that they couldn't help me, I finally found Dr Craig Lewis who was thrilled with the challenge and I couldn't be more grateful to him and the team I have always suffered with anxiety to the point where I used to take someone with me everywhere so they could talk for me, everyone in the practice made me feel so welcomed and at ease that by the third initial appointment I was going in on my own (which was a massive deal for me). Fantastic experience: I was always self conscious about my smile and struggled to find the right practise to help me achieve my perfect smile. Fantastic experience: From start to finish Birchgrove have been brilliant with the whole process of orthodontic treatment! Fantastic experience: I am halfway through my braces treatment and so far I am 100% satisfied. The whole practice and the team is amazing; very helpful, very professional very responsive and very friendly. I was going to have my treatment back in Poland, just because someone recommended me a very good orthodontist back there and I didn’t know anyone here in Cardiff. Due to the pandemic, the plans have changed and I started to look for specialists here. I contacted couple of places and I really recommend to everyone to do their own research. I knew more or less what I was looking for as I had my consultations back in Poland too. Some of the places were pushing for Invisalign treatments only or they didn’t offer Damon braces, one doctor told me that I will need to have 4(!) teeth removed (which I knew wasn’t necessary). When I contacted Dr Lewis, I was offered a free consultation via email. I was very impressed with his very comprehensive response. Also, the doctor proposed the same treatment as I was offered previously, which is Damon braces (hard to find in Cardiff). I didn’t hesitate a minute to choose this practice. What is also very important, the doctor listens to your needs, explains very carefully pros and cons of each treatment and find the best solution for you. I knew straight away that I’m in good hands. The braces treatment is a big investment, but if you invest in your smile, do it right:) I’m looking forward to my final results.

With just a few months until my wedding I really left the decision to have my teeth straightened to the last minute. Beth and the team of lovely receptionists managed to fit in all of my appointments around my schedule so it could all be done in time. Not only did Craig manage to get me an amazing result in just 3.5 months, he was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process. Fantastic experience: I have worked with Dr Craig Lewis few years back as his nurse, So when my front central crowns needed changing & cosmetic treatment. I knew Dr Lewis was the right person for the job! As I know his dentistry work was outstanding and was in safe hands. Craig is extremely professional & passionate about his work, all possible treatment plan was talked through in great dept at my first consultant appointment, Followed up by breakdown treatment with costs that was involved. I attended the practice at 32 weeks pregnant to make start on my complex treatment, at this appointment Craig talked me through the whole process & allowed me have breaks when needed. The treatment was painless & I can’t wait to see end result, I felt very relaxed throughout my appointment. All staff at the practice are very friendly & helpful, with a high standards cleanliness. Specially working under strict guidelines due to covid19. I can’t recommend Birchgrove dental practice enough best dentist around!! Thank you so much

Fantastic experience: Visited the dentist this morning and had two old fillings changed by Marco. Really happy with the service here and the care they have for their patients. Marco is really down to earth and is great at what he does. I do hate when he sings because I can't join in :). He has recently done a root canal and fitted a crown and I couldn't be happier with the results. The receptionist is always friendly and welcoming as well when you arrive. Anyone looking for a dentist, I couldn't recommend these guys enough!

Fantastic experience: I’ve just had my braces removed and I’m delighted with my outcome. I’d been been of getting my teeth straightened for years and now I wish I’d have done it sooner. It only took 8 months for Craig to create my perfect smile. He is very gentle and takes the time to explain everything that he’s doing. Fantastic experience: I first came here as I heard a lot of good things about the practice. That was back in August 2017. Ever since every visit has been a pleasure! Amazing staff and practice. Highly recommend getting an appointment with Craig. I used to be afraid of the dentist environment but it's so welcoming and you can't hear any of the machines in the waiting room like most dentists. Come along you won't be disappointed!
