Fantastic experience: I have always had a great experience with the dental surgery. The reception staff are always friendly and polite, the admin staff are helpful and prompt and Dr Mehvish is great!

Positive experience: Been at this place for years! Most of my life. We moved to follow our dentist years ago and he moved away so we ended up staying as it is our nhs dentist. It’s generally a pretty good practice for an nhs one. They do go through stages of cancelling appointments but then if you were to not turn up they send messages threatening to remove you from the system at end of appointment reminders but yet they do it to you which I find a bit amusing, cancellations don’t happen all that often to be fair. Go through periods of having same dentist which is good for consistency. And also only bad thing is they charge an arm and a leg for hygienist because it’s technically private. They will always push on this so personally I would just bare that in mind. Especially as you can go where is convenient if you cannot do week days so private may be an option for these appointments as it costs the same. In all I would say it’s a good dentist and never really had to many problems. I have used private for tooth extraction just for convenience else where but highly recommend as staff are always lovely and do a good job. Thanks ! I love the receptionist she is amazing

Fantastic experience: A couple of years ago, I left a review for Broughton Dental Practice, and I felt it was time for an update — because if anything, I’m even more impressed now. I suffer from severe dental anxiety due to past trauma, and honestly, going to the dentist used to be a terrifying experience. But from the moment I first stepped through the doors at Broughton, things started to change. The reception team greet you with a genuine smile every time (I think they know me by name now!) and are always kind, patient, and understanding. Dr. Mohammad Noman Khokhar is, without a doubt, one of the kindest and gentlest professionals I’ve ever met. He’s incredibly sensitive to my anxiety and goes out of his way to make sure I feel safe and comfortable during every visit. I never feel rushed or judged — just supported. The dental nurses are absolutely outstanding. Their warmth and reassurance have made an enormous difference in how I experience each appointment. I still have anxiety, and probably always will — but being in the hands of a team who genuinely care makes all the difference. I’m always kept informed during treatments, with clear explanations about what’s happening and what to expect. That level of communication and compassion really helps build trust. I can’t fault this place at all. If you struggle with dental anxiety like I do, Broughton Dental Practice is truly a safe and supportive environment. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Today... a regular appointment to have my teeth descaled and polished by the lovely dental hygienist, Anna. Brilliantly done and experience was also very good as I've come to expect from Ana. Lovely person and excellent dental hygienist! Very pleased with the results, as usual. Will return in 9 months to keep my smile looking fabulous

Negative experience: Was referred to get root canal treatment done, the dentistry doesn’t even have it on file that I was seen. Today I have called up to check how long it would take to get my treatment done and they are unable to check or to confirm I’m on the waiting list and can only check once the dentist is back from AL. A dentistry should be able to confirm these things in dentists absence let alone have it on file that I have been seen… very annoyed that instead they suggested I be seen again and pay to be seen with new anti biotics just so they can put my on the waiting list again after nearly 3 months…

Fantastic experience: I was in deep pain and my gums were affected, my dentist was Dr. Elena, she was fantastic during past months. Now my gums are healthy and she saved my molars from being extracted. Her professionalism and deep knowledge of advance periodontist treatments makes me feel very comfortable. 100% recommended

Fantastic experience: I am so grateful that I have finally found a dentist that has taken me on. They really have already proved to know and look after all my needs and required treatments. As for their customer service, they have always made me feel welcome and put my mind at ease.

Negative experience: This is a very awful practice . They register you and never send you any acknowledgement letter that you’ve been registered . They remove you from their list without any prior notice either(because you haven’t booked an appointment ) .I understand the waiting list is much but does that mean that others need to suffer due to that ? The receptionist I spoke to had zero sympathy .She kept saying ,”I understand your frustration but it won’t change our outcome” Thank Goodness I have no dental issue otherwise this is is how I would have been treated? So unfairly and unjustly . Very disappointed .

Fantastic experience: Easy to arrange an emergency appointment to have filling replaced. Dentist was professional and very polite as was his dental nurse. The reception staff extremely efficient, polite, and empathetic. It is a very nice dental practice to be with and they look after all 4 of my family.

Fantastic experience: My elderly mum is a long-time patient at Broughton Dental Practice. Mum is in a fragile state and is anxious about Dentist visits. Visited today at short notice because of extreme pain. We experienced such warmth, patience and kindness from both reception staff and the dentist/dentist assistant, that it made a difficult experience a lot easier, and helped put mum at ease. Treatment was fast and efficient (problem now dealt with) and I think prices excellent. Absolutely recommended and thanks so very much to everyone who helped someone vulnerable today, even when they were super-busy. :)

Positive experience: Dentist was 20 minutes late but I guess it can’t be helped. Then she decided I was in need of some work because of decay. I am not convinced it is needed … Update: after asking for a second opinion within the practice, my dentist refused to treat me! Breakdown in trust, she said. Luckily I found a new NHS dentist elsewhere, good riddance!

Negative experience: Not very happy with this dentist. I got told I’d get a specialist appointment to be waiting almost a year down a line. Not what I expect for a private dentist.

Negative experience: They did a filling saying in alot of cases it can end up having to have a root canal. They said if it does, to let them know and they would get a professional root canal expert in to do it. When I rang weeks later as I have an infection, they didn't bother to ring me back, so days later I called again, and again they said they would call back....weeks have gone by now. This dentists has short serving dentists who don't care as they know they will just move on eventually. Now I have a massive infection and have no where to turn. Great

Negative experience: I have been going to this practise for over 17 years and have seen the service degrading. Earlier, I used to get a basic teeth cleaning done during my NHS check up appointment. Now they would simply refer to hygienist and not do the basic cleaning and polishing. I do not see a real reason to go for the check up which lasts 5 min for the dentist to do counting and costs me £24. Friendly reception staff though.

Negative experience: Have had kids appointments cancelled twice at short notice by them recently. Half hour being the shortest notice before a cancellation after booking day off work and not sending kids to football camp so that they could make the appointment.

Positive experience: I recently visited the hygienist at the surgery and - for the first time in years - found it a pain-free experience! Hurrah! Very pleased. I'm also generally impressed with the dentists there. I've been an NHS patient at the surgery for more than 10 years and have been pleased with the service I've received. The only bugbear is that the hygienist visit costs a whopping £65! Seems to run counter to the fact that it's an NHS practice.

Fantastic experience: Anna carried out my hygienist app, she was very considerate as I expressed how nervous it makes me as I normally find it so painful but it was much easier to bare this time & practically pain free, very happy.
